ME SDK:DB connection closed automatically
I designed a collaboration directive triggered by a web service using the SDK (ME 5.2.3).
Basically, this directive perform a select to get the material inventory, and then loop into the result to create one entry in a queue by material (those entries will be processed later)... So doing some insert in the database.
What I do, I open a DB connection, then loop to do my inserts...
Problem is that if this loop take too much time, the connection seems to be automatically closed, I got this in the log :
Connection object com.sap.sql.jdbc.vendor.VendorConnectionHandle@43c6ce53 has already been closed...
Do you know if there is a parameter we could extend (I guess the connection time-out is set to 60 seconds), or should I handle this in my code ?
Here is a summary of my code :
try {
connection = SystemBase.createDefaultSystemBase().getDBConnection();
for (int i = 0; i < inputInformation.size(); i++) {
row = inputInformation.extractRow(i);
statement.execute(insertQuery);
} catch (SQLException e) {
if (Utils.isTraceEnabled(Utils.COLLABORATION)) {
e.printStackTrace();
returnData.put("EXCEPTION", e.toString());
returnData.put("SUCCESS", "false");
returnData.put("ERROR_MESSAGE", e.getMessage());
return returnData;
} finally {
SystemBase.closeDBConnection(connection, statement);
Thanks
As a rule timeouts should not be handled in the code. Reaching a timeout value should serve as an indication of a failure in the system that should never happen under normal circumstances.
This problem could be related to database connection timeout. This one must be set on the database side and it must fit your business needs. This parameter is vendor specific. Additionally, such exceptions could be caused by network issues, usage of firewall and antivirus software, etc.

Management Group Connection (SDK): Close Connection
Hello,
We are using the SCOM SDK to connect to our management server (described in this article:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh328992.aspx).
I see in the opsmgr eventlog on the management Server that the client is connected / disconnected (Event ids 26328 & 26329)
The connection stays open till the server which i use to connect to the sdk service reboots (~15min).
On MSDN i see no disconnect() method.
Is there a way to force closing a connection?
ThomasHave a look at Tao Yangs blog. He goes through powershell version of connecting to the SCOM SDK to automate tasks: http://blog.tyang.org/
I had a quick look and didn't see any disconnect code but there are a number of examples to go through.
Cheers,
Martin

Can a PO be reopened after its closed automatically.
We are in implementation phase of SAP B1.
We are using non perpetual inventory system. We created a Purchase order to buy 100 KG of item. Then we created 3 MR of 20 KG receipt each. We realized we have received one of MR in wrong warehouse, so we needed to reverse that MR. as reversal of MR is not supported we created a Goods Return for it.
Now after creating 2 more MR of 20 KG each PO closed automatically, But we have only created MR for 80 KG's till now. we want to receive 20 KG more material against the original PO.
How can we do that?
is there a setting to close the PO only Manually, as we have requirement that some time we might receive extra Weight against same PO?
Is it possible to re open a closed PO?
How can we ensure that even Goods return is add back to PO quantities?hi Avinash,
use the new feature of 8.81 Reopen Doc. by Creating Returns/Goods Returns/Credit Memos Based on It. to access this feature goto Administration -->> System Initialization -->> Document Settings -->> Per Document and in the dropdownlist select Purchase Orde, then check the tick box Reopen Doc. by Creating Returns/Goods Returns/Credit Memos Based on It.
Note: Reopen Doc. by Creating Returns/Goods Returns/Credit Memos Based on It
If you select this checkbox, you can decide whether to reopen a sales or purchasing order when you create a return or goods return document that is based on the sales or purchasing order, or when you create a credit memo based on an invoice. The application prompts you for a decision every time you create a return, goods return, or credit memo.

I am trying to connect to a wireless network that I have connect to automatically for over a year. When I try to connect I simply get the following message: "the wifi network xxxx could not be joined". I have moved closer to the router as suggested and I have attempted to run diagnostics without luck, I have rebooted, I have toggled the wifi on and off. I'm at a loss now...
My MacBook Pro system is running OSX 10.9.5, 2.9 GHz Intel Core 17 processor, 8GB 16000MHz DDR3 memory.Try resetting the SMC and PRAM

I have CS2 and I use it almost every day.. Today when I tried to launch it, a prompt came up saying my Activation was no longer valid and it closed automatically. Then when I tried to re-open it, a prompt came up saying "A serious error has occured" Please re-install the software... I have no idea where my software is... That was many many years ago? HELP!!
When you go to the download page, you must do two things:
Download this file: PhSp_CS2_English.exe on the download page.
Use the serial number on the download page in order to install your non-activation copy.
Do not use your old CD or serial number. It no longer works.
If you have Windows 7, the advice is to turn off UAC and run the installer as Administrator.

Purchase Requsition is not closing automatically During ME59 PO creation
Hi,
We are using PO creation through ME59,
In ME59 we have set the indicator 1 Set reqs. to "closed"
In PR we have 1 qty and in PO was created for 1 qty. But the PR was not closed.
When we check the F1 help for the filed it say it will work with respect to the rounding value. as for my concer the PR qty 1 was fulfilled by po with 1 qty creation. I dont know why the PR was not set to Closed automatically.
If we try 2 Set reqs. to "closed" It is working
Can any once explaing why it is not wroking for indicator 1

I am not sure what exactly is happening here. I have already established the successful connection with the same FTP server using different FTP clients.sounds like the ftp server closed the connection. did you try to use other ftp clients from the same machine where the bpel engine is running?

Connection closed by remote host on SOAP Receiver Scenario
Hi Experts,
I implemented a RFC to SOAP Receiver scenario, consuming an external
Web Service with SSL security, using SAP PI 7.1. I configured the SOAP
Receiver Adapter with Proxy e Proxy User, and it shows the
message u201CConnection closed by remote hostu201D. I have checked with
Network team, about the firewall restrictions, and they told me it was
pass by firewall. I installed the SOAP UI on the PI DEV Server to test
the SOAP Requets and it worked. Only on the PI it shows this error
message. I traced log at SLL service in the Sap Netweaver Administrator
and I didnu2019t get success.
Long text error:
com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException:
java.io.EOFException: Connection closed by remote
Please, could you help me about this error?
Fábio FerriHi Fabio,
You need to set higher trace level in order to get more information in your trace file.
If you think it is related to security then set logging level of components com.sap.aii.security.lib and com.sap.aii.af.security to DEBUG in Visual Admin's log configurator. Also set com.sap.aii.af.mp.soap and com.sap.aii.messaging to DEBUG level.
And then try sending messages and see whether you have received more informaiton in trace file, but don't forget to revert back the change once you finish testing otherwise it will filled up your diskspace.
Best regards,
Pinkle -
Connection closed by remote host for RNIF
Hi All,
Hi All,
Any one can help us. We are getting the following issue while customer trying to send the data to XI.
https://XXXXX:YYYYY/MessagingSystem/receive/RNIFAdapter/RNIF received HTTP response "699". Error connecting to host XXXXX at port YYYYY . Connection closed by remote host.
Scenario details:
RNIF to Proxy scenario
it is very very urgent.Please help
Thanks,
MeeraWas this issue resolved? Possibly a network issue but not too sure. Can you share more info?
Are you able to hit the RNIF URL within your LAN? -
Hi folks,
my friday crusher:
We have a sync RFC-PI-SOAP scenario.
All is working fine in Dev system.
After moving into Test following error is displayed as the SOAP response message:
- <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="1">
<SAP:Category>XIAdapterFramework</SAP:Category>
<SAP:Code area="MESSAGE">GENERAL</SAP:Code>
<SAP:P1 />
<SAP:P2 />
<SAP:P3 />
<SAP:P4 />
<SAP:AdditionalText>com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: java.io.EOFException: Connection closed by remote host.</SAP:AdditionalText>
<SAP:Stack />
<SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
</SAP:Error>
Also Channel Monitoring says:
Message-Verarbeitung fehlgeschlagen. Grund: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: java.io.EOFException: Connection closed by remote host.
Couldn´t find any hints in SDN and the web to this issue.
Does anyone of you has made experiences with that problem?
Maybe it´s a system parameter for time out SOAP connections....?
Many thanks for your help
-and-
have a great weekend!
Cheers
AndréVery strange!
But I have the solution:
I have looked into channel monitoring / RWB again.
There I saw, this PI is using two clusters on two application servers.
Everytime the SOAP call is executed through the frist cluster, all was fine.
But no SOAP call was successfully executed by the second cluster.
Fortuity? No!
The second cluster node / app server wasn´t registered for internet access in the used proxy server.
So it wasn´t an PI issue.
Now, all is fine & I´m happy!
Thanks @all for helping!
Cheers,

TNS: connection closed error with SQL*net
Hi all,
I've got a new installation of Oracle 11.1.0.6.0 enterprise (Linux). It works fine with direct sqlplus connections but I'm having problems with SQL*net and JDBC thin client connections.
The database is built correctly and works fine:

but if I try to connect using SQL*net I get errors. I have my TNS listener configured and it starts without errors, reporting the database as a service, and tnsping is fine:

This is a new instance of Oracle so there is no problem with listener.log being too large (as I've seen elsewhere). I've also tried increasing PROCESSES and SESSIONS in the initSID.ora file without any impact. The listener ports are open through the firewall (and disabling it temporarily makes no difference).
Any suggestions?!
Thanks, MattThis means nothing to me, but it could to someone else......

Openssh 3.18.1 on Solaris 8: sftp connection closed
Hi, to setup a secure environment for file transfer, I have installed the following packages in my solaris 8.
- openssh-3.8
- openssl-0.9.7d-Solaris8-local
- prngd-0.9.26-Solaris8-local
- tcpwrappers-7.6-Solaris8-local
- zlib-1.2.1-Solaris8-local
I do not have any problem with SSH but I kept getting Connection Closed when I tried to sftp or scp into my Solaris 8. I have verified the user info is correct but have really no idea what is the problem. Following is the debug output from a windows client to my solaris 8:

Flag purchase requisition as closed automatically
Hi,
I'd like to flag a purchase requisition as closed automatically when it is created with reference of a purchase requisition. I'd like to know if there's any customizing point in which I can customize this action.
Thanks in advance,
GerardIf you are using ME59N transaction to create the PO then you can automatically set the flag reqs closed.
On ME59N screen you will see the field called set reqs to closed.............here you can select your indicator and system will close the reqs which all are converted on POs
