Media Sync 3.0 does not recognized my device

I have a Blackberry 8330 with a media card installed, 4GB. I started my Blackberry Desktop and allowed it to update to the latest version, 5.01. I have used the Media sync in the past but not in a long time. When I started the Media sync it asked to install and I did. It tries to connect to my phone but I get the following error;
Your device in not recognized by Blackberry Media Sync. Please check that:
1. a media card is installed correctlyin your Blackberry device.
2. mass storagemode is turned onfor your Blackberry device.
There is a media card installed correctly on my device and mass storage is turned on and Auto enable Mass Storage Mode when connected is turned on as well.
The software version on my device is v4.5.0.138 (Platform 3.4.0.30)
Thanks in advance for your help!
The following is a copy of the log file generated bt Media Sync;

No joy.
First attempt after increasing log level -- again it hangs after I input the device password.  I'm not sure what you mean by "attempt to load from WMP" -- presumably that would be some menu or button on the sync app, but since it hangs before I get there I can't try it.   After waiting a while, I used the systray "safely remove hardware" utility and then pulled the BB from the USB.

I connect my phone to the computer and it does sync but it does not show my device?  How can I see my device in itunes?

    Hello Crenshaw2332
With the new version of iTunes, it would be the the left of the iTunes Store icon
If you like how itunes worked before, I will suggest taking a look at the article that will bring back most commonly used features in iTunes.
    iTunes 11: Frequently used features
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5649
In iTunes 11 you have the option to turn the Sidebar and the Status Bar on or off; they are off by default. To do this in the menus, go to:
Show Sidebar - Choose View > Show Sidebar (this feature will display iTunes features on the left side of the application including Library, Store, Shared, Genius, and Playlists).
Show Status Bar - Choose View > Show Status Bar (this feature will conveniently display the number of items and playback time for a category, for example, music or movies).
    Thanks for your question

I bought an apple iPod 5th generation the other day and I cannot remember the unlock passcode. I have done the restore thing, but because I never set it up or synced it with iTunes, it does not recognize my device. It is disabled for one hour. There's only a few things that could be my passcode, but because it disables for an hour, it is time consuming trying to figure it out. What do I do? I do not care about having to erase everything since it's new and there's nothing on it, but it was never synced with iTunes.

    Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

    For how to restore:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

  • IPod shuffle does not recognized by iTunes after restore

    Hello
I have a iPod shuffle (4th gen) and a windows laptop.
After restoring my iPod shuffle (as directed by iTunes), iTunes does not recognized my iPod anymore.
The data in the iPod has been deleted (ie return to the factory settings), but iTunes does not proceed to prompt me to name my iPod and set up sync options etc, it simply does nothing and does not recognize my iPod.
I went on My Computer, and reformatted the iPod shuffle again. As a result of the reformatting, iTunes recognizes my iPod but it requires me to restore my iPod back to factory settings again. It became a cycle of either recognizing the iPod but asking me to restore it; or does not recognize my iPod after restoration.
Please kindly assist me with this situation as it is rather frustrating.
iTunes is in the latest version as I have attempted the trouble shooting support on the webpage.
    Many thanks.

  • HT1296 Why is my iPhone calendar is not syncing to my PC's Outlook calendar? iTunes (latest version) does not show my "device."

My iPhone's (4S,iOS Version 6.1.03) calendar will not sync to my PC's Outlook 2010 calendar (Windows 7). I have the latest version of iTunes, which does not recognize my device even though it launched iTunes when I connectedd the USB. The iTunes "Help" and Apple's article does not address the "what if" the device doesn't show. Any recommendations will be appreciated.

    Hello there tracealong,
I researched what you are describing and found this awesome lil gem for this exact issue.

  • Itunes says "syncing" but ipod does not.  2nd gen nano

My wife has a 2nd gen nano that will not sync. Itunes says "syncing" but ipod does not, you can scroll through the menus and use it like it was not connected. When I first connect it, the do not disconnect sign appears then after a few seconds the main menu. She has used it for 2 years and it worked fine until today.

Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?

Hmm.. Thank you for the response.
Have you tried using the iPod with another user account or computer, to help narrow down whether the problem lies with the computer, account, or the iPod itself?
Maybe try reformatting it, using the tools provided by Windows. Instructions on how to reformat your iPod can be found in this article.

I have upgraded to Lion  OS only to find that my NAS (Iomega Home Media Network hard drive) does not work.  It tells me that it is not configured.  Are there any solutions .  Have Iomega sorted out the problem?

Same issue here.  Based on what I can tell, iomega still has not developed a solution to the problem.  See below:

  • TS1363 after up dating to 11.1.5.5 itunes does not recognized any of my devices.  I've tried everything listed.

after up dating to 11.1.5.5 itunes does not recognized any of my devices. I have tried all the recommendations in help.

Updating the USB driver did work.  Referenced in other postings as Section 5.  I guess I had not tried that one.

  • Lion does not recognized HP Scanner

Lion does not recognized HP Scanner.  Lion initially recognized the scanner and it worked perfectly for months.  All of a sudden communications with the scanner stopped. I have checked the USB cable and it is working properly.  I am using Bootcamp and when I boot in Windows the scanner and computer (iMac) work perfectly.  I have downloaded, removed and reinstalled the HP software and update for Lion. When I go into System Preferences > Print/Scan, It sees all other printers and scanners including another HP printer scanner.

    Hi.
what's your printer/scanner model #? If RRFS' suggestions fail to resolve your issue: try removing the HP drivers from /Library/Printers folder then with device connected directly to your computer, check for software updates, this will push HP software/drivers to your system - install them.
"do not install drivers from printer/scanner disc"
After installation, make sure the devices, both printer and scanner show up in system preferences > printers - try scanning. Also check with a native Application like image capture, see if its recognizing your scanner.
