Media uploads seem to hang, no progress bar,

HI set up a client to use use media downloads, however, upon creation and section of a file to upload, any file over 1 mb seems to hang and not upload at all, I tried a 35 meg file and left it ot an hour, and nothing happened, just a blank window with not text appeared after selecting a file,  It says you can select up to 100 megs....

Yep, there are Zero indiciations of file handing in the new uI. People been saying this for some time.
File Manager hangs uploading files from time to time be it media downloads or just images in the file manager or through pages etc.
Also you have the crazy state of affairs where the link manager wont allow you to link to images or other files any more. Changes made to these things a few months ago lost a lot of functionality and since have had layout and functionality issues

  • Hanging overview progress bar?

    Anyone encounter this?
    Open an existing Logic session, several progress windows appear and disappear showing "creating overview for "xxxx.aif", but one window hangs and the progress bar stops animating.
    Click on the arrange window and press spacebar to play. Sequence is audible but cursor does not scroll and performance is sluggish.
    A temp fix is to delete the file that is named in the hanging progress window, then quit and reopen the session . This only works once - quitting and re-opening again results in a different file progress window hanging.
    Closing the session does not remove the hanging progress window and opening a new session suffers the same malady. Only quitting Logic makes the window go away.
    What I have tried:
    Updating file information
    initializing preferences
    trashing preferences
    Switching audio device between Built in and MBox2
    Transfer entire session to another computer
    None of these have worked.
    Any ideas?

    So, it's trying to create an overview to a file that is not in the bin?
    Was the file successfully removed from the bin?
    Try this: delete that file from the bin (if it's still there), from the file menu use "Save a Copy as", open the new copy. If it's still doing the same thing try cleaning everything from the bin (in the copy version), save and reopen.
    This is also to try to isolate the problem.

  • Progress bar during upload....

    Hi guys,
    i'm a question....
    i've developed an upload function in my jsf application using Myfaces component FileUpload.
    It works very well.
    My question is:does exists something i can add to my upload function to view a progress bar during upload without using Ajax component that gives me some problems?
    Thanks very much

    iloveflex,
    why not use the progress event of the FileReference object?
    Have a look at the Adobe language help for FileReference and you
    will see that the one-line help for this event is "Dispatched
    periodically during the file upload or download operation". The
    example code at the end of that help article gives an example of
    using this event to print out bytes so far and total bytes in the
    trace window. You should be easily able to adapt this to display in
    some other way sutiable for your users.

  • Mail Progress Bar

    I recently upgraded an iMac to Tiger. In Panther, my Mail application displayed a progress bar when forwarding e-mails with attachments. I can't seem to get the progress bar to display in Tiger. Any suggestions?

    The progress bar you are referring to was removed with Tiger Mail.
    To see detailed progress when sending a message with attachments, open the Activity Viewer window.

  • Progress bar with background task

    Hi, I am using background agent to upload files. Its taking about 30 min to upload a single image or audio file. Is there any method to reduce the time to launch the background agent in production. I'm using the following line for debug process and its
    working fine and the files are getting uploaded as soon as possible. But when the application is in windows phone store im not able to use this line of code. Please help if there is any solution to reduce the time for background agent launch. Also is there
    any UI changes I can make while the background process is running, so that the user can identify that the file is uploading. Can I use progress bar indicator or anything when the background file is uploading. Thanks.
    ScheduledActionService.LaunchForTest("My periodic task", TimeSpan.FromSeconds(3));

  • Creating Progress Bar for File Upload

    Hi, I'm trying to implement a progress bar indicator for a file upload in WebDynpro, without very good results.
    I'm using a fileupload UI element, a TimerTrigger and a ProgressIndicator UI elements for this purpose.
    It seems that using the fileupload UI element the iview is locked during the file upload, and therefore it prevents for the timer triggered action to be performed (this action updates the progress bar).
    Additionally I havent been able to capture the transfered bytes from the upload. Maybe I'm using the wrong elements?
    How could I achieve this. Has anyone done it?
    I would really appreciate all the help I could get.

  • CR2008 SP2 install appears to hang with no progress bar

    I have CR2008 SP2 installed.  Come to find out I didn't have .NET support installed originally so I re-ran the installation to make a modification to the installation.  Unfortunately the installation process appeared to hang on the "Thank you for choosing Crystal Reports 2008", not activity bar, but the msiexec process was still running, so I killed it.  I decided to uninstall the whole program.  Reinstalled CR2008 SP1, no problem.  Then it then downloaded SP2 and and ran the update and it was hung on the same screen for about 15 minutes before it actually finished.  There seems to be an issue where the progress bar is grayed out.  I am running Win7 64Bit.  The install eventually completed successfully.

    Hi Seth,
    This is normal for Windows 7. Lots of registering and low end stuff happening that can't access the progress bar while it's being done.
    I'll suggest we add a "Please be Patient" to the install screen.
    Thanks again

  • After updating to the latest version of Firefox on my Mac there is no progress bar for the page load. I really miss this feature and can't seem to find a way to obtain it.

    The page load progress bar that was on the lower right of the window is no longer there. After updating to the latest version of Firefox on my Mac there is no progress bar for the page load. I really miss this feature and can't seem to find a way to obtain it. The tab has a circular progress wheel but this is useless for determining a stuck or slow loading page.
    PLEASE NOTE: I am typing this in from a Windows based work computer but am asking about my Apple MacBook Pro that i use at home.

    Firefox 4 saves the previous session automatically, so there is no longer need for the dialog asking if you want to save the current session.<br />
    You can use "Firefox > History > Restore Previous Session" to get the previous session at any time.<br />
    There is also a "Restore Previous Session" button on the default <b>about:home</b> Home page.<br />
    Another possibility is to use:
    * [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Menu_differences Firefox (Tools) > Options] > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time"

  • Macbook Pro seems to be bricked by ML install. Upon restart it shows a progress bar which makes it to about 15%, and then the machine simply shuts off. Help?

    Title pretty much says it all. Install seemed to be going fine, then upon restart it hit a gray screen with a progress bar for about 30 seconds. Once the progress bar makes it to about 15% the machine simply shut off. I tried turning the machine on again a few times, but each time I had the same issue. I then tried running the 10.8 recovery disk, but it just showed the gray spinning wheel for about 6 hours. Any ideas?

    Something similar issue with me too. Intallation went fine. Then it started updating java once reboot it got stuck on grey screen. It wont boot at all. That spinning wheel keeps on going forever. :(

    The progress bar (in green)which was visisble at the right hand side down in Firefox 3.6.8,is not visible here which seems little unfriendly.Or is it available(may be there is some settings i have to apply)?Please tell me if it is available in this version or not,and if yes then how to bring it.Thanks!

    You can add the progress indicator in the Firefox 4 add-ons bar with the [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/status-4-evar/ Status-4-Evar] add-on

  • Progress Bars in File Upload Behavours

    Progress Bars in File Upload Behavours would be great.

    I think we need to be realistic ;)
    KTML4 - isn't going to happen, it was dropped, other 3rd party products are surfacing,
    sadly, we'll not see that again.
    Calendar was a separate Interakt application (not really a toolkit item)
    like the ADDT form control date/calendar picker - so I doubt that will happen
    That said - it would still get my vote for a comeback.
    Ajax tool - need to specify EXACTLY what tool and how it would expand on the ADDT and how it would relate to SPRY and other Components now being made available for DWCS4 ie YUI etc

  • My files are not uploading; progress bar stops and I get an error message

    Last night (dec. 23) I was trying to upload 30 photo files. The progress bar works, but it either stalls or at the end I get an error message. These are time critical, I have a client waiting for the photos. I tried sending just a couple of photos, but the same issue happens. Please give me a solution.

    Hi Lory Hawley,
    Have you been able to upload your files? What is the error that you're receiving?
    For starters, please try the following:
    Clear the browser cache and try again.
    Try a different browser (see System requirements | Acrobat.com for a list of supported browsers).
    Please let us know how it goes.
    Best,
    Sara

    I cannot sseem to contact the iphone software update server.  Only get progress bar, but never seems to contact.  Am running Lion 1-.7.3 and most recent version of itunes(10.6).  What is up?

  • How to Reduce Image Size and show upload Progress Bar

    i need to capture an image from the camera and send it to the server. however to reduce the amount of data transmitted i want to shrink the image and lower its resolution.
    I have code that currently does the following :
    UIImage *testImage = [UIImage imageNamed:@"image1.png"]; // this would come from image picker
    NSData * imageData = UIImagePNGRepresentation(testImage);
    // skipped code that showed URL string setup
    NSString *postLength = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%d", [imageData length]];
    NSMutableURLRequest *request = [[[NSMutableURLRequest alloc] init] autorelease];
    [request setURL:[NSURL URLWithString:urlString]];
    [request setHTTPMethod:@"POST"];
    [request setValue:postLength forHTTPHeaderField:@"Content-Length"];
    [request setHTTPBody:imageData];
    NSURLConnection *conn=[[NSURLConnection alloc] initWithRequest:request delegate:self];
    1. need some way to shrink the image size to reduce data traffic
    2. need some way to indicate a progress bar as data is being transfered to the server

    1. The size is visible in the metadata panel, set the dropdown to EXIF. In addition, in the Grid, with Ctrl-J, you can set the options so that you will see the cropped size in the rectangle surrounding the photo.
    2. You cannot, in one action, upload to multiple galleries. Each upload is its own action. I don't know if there is a plug-in to let you upload from LR to 500px in one action; clearly there are plug-ins for Flickr and Smugmug and several others. There should be no need to re-import. Normally, the plug-ins I mentioned will take a TIFF, resize it according to your directions, convert to JPG and upload.
