Medir frecuencia cada 1ms

Hola amigos, estoy utilizando el muldtimetro digital pxi 40-70 para medir frecuencia, ya tengo los vi conectados y configurados con su numero de muestras y numero de puntos para observar la señal, ya he realizado mediciones correectamente. Ahora yo quiero guardar el tiempo de cada periodo en un block de notas, es decir que si estoy midiendo una señal de 100Hz y realizo la medición durante 2 segundos, espero obtener 200 datos.¿Que VI puedo utilizar para sacar el periodo de cada ciclo que estoy midiendo? y ¿Como puedo guardar esos datos en un block de notas ?

Gracias por utilizar los foros de NI. Si ya tienes el valor de la frecuencia lo único que tienes que realizar es la fórmula de: Periodo = 1/frecuencia.

Con respecto a tu pregunta de cómo poder almacenar la información a un archivo de texto (.txt) lo que puedes realizar es el uso del ExpressVI “Write To Measurement File” para realizar la escritura de manera rápida y sencilla, te dejo este link donde se muestra su uso:

Medir Flujo

Hola amigos, estoy haciendo un proyecto el cual consta medir el flujo de agua con Labview y una Ni DAQ, alguien tiene algun programa para poder hacer esto?
El sensor que uso lo anexo en una foto, el cable rojo es voltaje, el negro es tierra y el amarillo es señal.
Necesito poder visualizar los valores en un indicador numerico y en una grafica.

Gracias por utilizar los Foros de Discusión de National Instruments, como comenta Dennis_Knutson es necesario nos compartas un poco más de información sobre tu proyecto.
¿Cuál es el modelo de tu sensor?
¿Su salida es de voltaje, corriente, frecuencia, etc.?
¿Qué rangos de flujo deseas medir?
¿Qué precisión requieres para tu medición?
¿Qué dispositivo NI DAQ planeas utilizar?
Así bien, me tomé la libertad de realizar una búsqueda rápida basado en la imagen encontré que posiblemente se trate de un YF-S201, ¿podrías confirmarnos si este es el modelo de tu sensor? De ser así, lo más parecido que logré encontrar a un datasheet fue este documento. Te pido por favor verifiques que el modelo de tu sensor corresponda con el datasheet.
Así bien, según dicho documento la salida del sensor es una salida PWM, por lo que tendrás que medir la frecuencia del mismo para poder determinar el flujo que cruza a través del sensor, sin embargo según el documento no se trata de una relación totalmente lineal, por lo que te recomiendo utilizar una escala personalizada del tipo tabla, el documento especifica algunos valores conocidos para el sensor que podrás utilizar en tu escala personalizada.

Multiples senales digitales con diferente periodo y frecuencia

Hola!
Estoy escribiendo un codigo que me envie multiples senales digitales con distinto periodo y frecuencia. La idea es que cada senal (ademas de tener distinto periodo y frecuencia respecto al resto de senales), tambien debe ir actualizando su propio periodo y frecuencia. Los valores de periodo y frecuencia los actualizo desde MatLab (mediante MatLab node), porque necesito que sean valores aleatorios de una determinada distribucion de probabilidad.
He escrito el codigo muy simple para dos senales, en el que mediante un "for loop" y mediante un vector de datos, voy escribiendo los datos del vector para cada paso del loop en el DAQmx. El vector de datos, por filas representa los canales y las columnas representan cada muestra que quiero escribir (0 = 0V, 1=5V). Mediante un elemento "wait" dentro del loop intento controlar el tiempo por iteraci'on dentro del loop. Sin embargo, cuando lo conecto al osciloscopio, una de las senales no funciona, la otra si pero con mucho ruido y la frecuencia que marca el osciloscopio no corresponde con el elemento "wait" que le he puesto.
Aqui adjunto mi programa por si teneis alguna idea de cual puede ser el problema o nuevas formas de escribir el programa.

1. Intenta utilizar la función de "Wait (ms).vi" en vez de Wait untitl next ms multiple.vi""
2. El tunel de entrada del array al for loop, tiene deshabilitado el autoindexing, por lo qe solo está pasando un valor a la entrada al ejecutar el programa.
3. Cuando habilites el auto indexing, recuerda que el for loop va a iterar tantas veces como filas tenga el array de 2 dimensiónes (en este caso 2 veces, extrayendo primero toda la primera fila y luego toda la segunda fila), ignorando el valor cableado en "N" si este es mayor al número de filas del array.

Estoy diseñando una aplicacion de control con una DAQ de Adlink.Necesito saber si es posible ejecutar en una misma aplicacion, rutinas a distintas frecuencias de ejecucion.

Si. La manera mas simple de lograrlo es tener "while loops" corriendo en paralelo, cada uno con su propio "Wait" (Function palette -> Time & Dialog) con los milisegundos adecuados que determinan su frecuencia.

Industrial Design & CAD -- Switching to Mac (Within A Company)

Hi all.
With the stalled global economy, our IT budget is frozen here at my company, probably for at least a year. So, what better time to ressurect my case for Macs at work to replace our Dells? If you can help, please read on...
I'm an industrial designer in a small group (8 persons full-time in North America, with an additional 5-or-so contractors) within a large manufacturing company (3000+ employees globally). We use mainly Photoshop, Autodesk Sketchbook Pro and Illustrator as our 2D apps, which are all available for OSX. We also use Microsoft Office, and there is an OSX flavor of that, too. Unfortunately, we also use Autodesk AutoStudio, which is currently available only for Irix, Linux & Windows. I'm not even sure if it supports Vista or 64-bit. That's our main 3D app, though. A couple of virtual showroom apps, but we're more flexible on that (while we network our AutoStudio licenses, something like Autodesk's Showcase would, I believe, run just fine with a locall license under bootcamp).
My Dell Precision 690 is a good machine, actually. What I don't care for is the "long arm of the law" our IT group has put in place in terms of how it piecemeals out applications.
For example, I cannot open Illustrator documents out of Bridge, as one would expect. I must view the file in Bridge to know what I want, go back to Illustrator and manually search by filename. This is due to the odd installation process they've put in place here. Illustrator should be installed along with the rest of CS(2, in our case) in order to function properly, something we're unable to do with our setup. Also, I have been having major file-renaming issues with Illustrator that our IT department is both unable and unwilling to solve, as well as what appears to be an expired support contract with Adobe.
It seems that we overpay IT for every last piece of hardware & software, with very little benefit in terms of warranty or service. One example is when we paid $1000 for a (then, now cheaper) $500 Wacom tablet. I figured that "double-the-price" setup ensured us some sort of replacement warranty, but when I did have technical problems, we paid for both the service call AND the replacement hardware. Gadzooks! Despite the perception of Macs as being more expensive than Window-boxes, not only was this Dell box I'm using pretty pricey, but all the IT charges, I'd like to think we could offer a cost improvement by "breaking out" of the system.
So, my motivation is political. But it is also that I have a preference for OSX when it comes to networking, using Adobe applications & overall appearance (both the interface and also of my physical workspace!)...
Anyone here ever had to make an IT case to "break away" a creative department from the parent? Any hints in terms of business case of maintenance costs of Macs vs PCs? Service contracts with Mac people? Any helpful links or books you could recommend? I've been Googling some terms with no luck.
I think my ultimate proposal would be to keep on "company" Dells over in the (shaded, depressing) corner of the room for email & CAD work, but to use Mac Pro (or MacBook Pros) for our 2D work. Until Autodesk lists Macs as "approved hardware" on their site, we'll never convince to company to go the bootcamp route (even though I know a colleague who's been using AutoStudio on Windows on a Mac Pro 17". Says it works flawlessly).
Anyway, any help or words of wisdom would be appreciated. Also, please feel free to share your own experiences with proposing a "switch." Things to watch out for, etc. Also, if there is another place (either here at Apple or elsewhere) you'd suggest I post, please let me know that, too. It's a bold new world, baby.

I'm also an industrial designer but switched over to exhibit design from product design years ago. I was lucky to develop the dept. when the need for computers was new. (12 years ago) I went Mac all the way and we still maintain a strong Mac presence in the design dept. We have detailers still on ACAD on there PC's. Our outside IT guys are difficult to work with and high priced. The Macs never need the amount of attention the PC's get from the IT guys. We use FormZ as our 3d modeler and it exports and imports dwgs nicely. I've heard of Solidworks and Vellum for the Mac for more detailed work. Lightwave, Modo, Formz, Cinema 4D and Maxwell for renderings. (the pretty pictures that sell)
Are you guys able to switch apps? After a few new hires to our dept, they came in w/ 3DS experience and pushed that. It was easy to say it would be a lateral move and all the money to invest in that direction would only give us the same results at the end of the day. BUT, our IT bills would have been more if we did move to the PC side. Maybe if windows7 is ok, i may load it, but have no reason too.
I found it interesting that if you get a virus on the windows side, while using a mac, you can use TimeMachine to go back before the virus; what I was told from someone at an Apple store. I thought that was big and shocked APPLE doesn't sell that more.

Não possuo o pacote IMAQ Vision e por isso a aquisição da imagem e tratamento dos elementos será feito "na raça". Alguém já fez isso? Conhece alguma aplicação exemplo?

CAD Problem: Lost connection with the cisco unified ccx application server

I have two locations in our help desk area that consistantly loose connection. I checked the network and we ran new cables. Still having the same issue. They have connectivity to everything else when they loose connection to CAD so I believe there is something going on with the program itself. I have attached the logs from both. There is nothing else that lives on their subnet.
There are 2 servers, the primary 172.29.0.22 and the secondary 172.29.0.23. The Primary is the active server so it is in the same building as the agents.
Can anyone please advise? any help would truly be appreciated!

They already have your number and/or email address and maybe have sold it several times already to others as well. They also use number generators - software that will automatically create them - some work and some don't, they don't care, they send out millions and a few will fall for it and send them money. The only way to "hide" would be to change both and your password, but then it would happen again at some point.

CAD upgrade 8.0 to 8.5

We're planning an upgrade from UCCX 8.0 to 8.5. I've got the server upgrade pretty well documented, but I had a question about CAD.
Once the server is upgraded, and I re-run Desktop Admin, will the CAD/CSD clients auto-upgrade at next log-in? I know they will if you went from 8.5 to 8.5 SU4, but I wasn't sure about from 8.0 to 8.5 SU4.

If the ‘CAD automatic updates’ is set to ‘Yes’ in the postinstall.exe, of course CAD/CSD gets upgraded.

Hello Raj,
SAP View can be further described as the view that is based on what is existing already in the SAP system. This view is generally used by SAP purchasing, MM people etc
CAD view is nothing but the replication of the model tree view in the SAP system. This is used by the design engineer and this view replicates only the parts that are actively displayed on the CAD tool window.

I would like to have the ability to highlight page items other than "text." For example, if a page has been scanned in (and has not had OCR performed on it) you cannot highlight the text, because Acrobat views the page as a raster image, not as text (because there are no fonts). Similarly, if a document was prepared in Auto CAD, and has no true fonts (but uses vector representations of letters), you cannot highlight the text. In Snagit, the highlight tool is actually a bow-drawing tool with the transparency set to multiply. I was able to achieve somewhat of a workaround to this problem by creating custom shapes in lllustrator, setting the blending space to multiply, and importing those files into Acrobat as custom stamps. The native transparency is retained. However, the proportions are locked, and the only way to change the color is to make a whole new stamp. It would be nice to have another type of highlighter tool in Acrobat, which mimics the bow-drawing highlight tool in Snagit.

I uninstalled a cad program I've been running for years and when I go to reinstall it says 0kb available, but in Finder the hard drive shows 80 gb. Why won't it let me install?

Cad software started having some issues so I uninstalled it and when I go to re-install, I can't get past the "select folder for installation" page. I can't browse to any other than the default applications location and at the bottom of the screen it shows 0kb available. But there is 80 gb available on the hard drive. It's an older software, but that shouldn't really matter as it's been on the machine for years. Did upgrading to Snow Leopard somehow do this (as it had many other negative effects on the software)? Software is ArchiCAD 9. I'd upgrade to current version if I had an extra $4K laying around but I don't (so please don't suggest that). Also, I'm that Administrator and I don't have problems installing other softwares. Is it possible that the installation disk from the software manufacturer can have an expiration date? Software is from about 2006.

I suspect the software was originally designed for PPC based Macs and is simply not designed to run on 10.6.7. I would recommend contacting the manufacturer and asking the correct way to uninstall they're application.
After uninstalling I would run Repair Disk Permissions in Disk Utility and if necessary do a SMC reset using the following instructions:
SMC RESET
• Shut down the computer.
• Unplug the computer's power cord and all peripherals.
• Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
• Release the power button.
• Attach the computers power cable.
• Press the power button to turn on the computer.
PRAM RESET
• Shut down the computer.
• Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
• Turn on the computer.
• Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
