Merging 2 Idocs into single Idoc

Hi,
I have 2 Idocs created for different message types (INFREC, COND_A).We have requirement to merge the data from these 2 Idocs and create a single Idoc.
I have identified 2 options.
1. Create a new Idoc type and message type. The new Idoc type will have segments with fields from both INFREC and COND_A. Develop a custom program to read required data from database and populate the new Idoc type. Use standard API to create and distribute new Idoc.
2. Create a new Idoc type and message type. The new Idoc type will have segments with fields from both INFREC and COND_A. Create Idocs for INFREC and COND_A. Develop a custom program to read required data from these Idocs and populate the new Idoc type. Use standard API to create and distribute new Idoc. Archive the Idocs created for INFREC and COND_A.
Which would be feasible?
Any other options?
Thanks
Kamal

1. Create a custom message and IDoc.
2. Activate the new message type for change pointer processing.
3. Copy function MASTERIDOC_CREATE_SMD_INFREC and change to read change pointer table for your custom message type.
4. Go to BD60 and copy the entry for INFREC, replacing the message type and function module with your custom objects.
5. Go to BD52 for INFREC and COND_A respectively.  Make note of entries for both message types and add same entries to your custom message.
6. Configure partner profile, distribution model per usual.

    Hi,
    That's called Pivoting . The forum FAQ has a section on this subject: {message:id=9360005}
I hope this answers your question.
If not, post your best attempt, along with a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only), and also post the results you want from that data. (You did post the results you wanted, but they're very hard to read because they're not formatted. Use \ tags, as described in the forum FAQ, below.)
Explain, using specific examples, how you get the results you want from the data given.
Always say which version of Oracle you're using (e.g., 11.2.0.2.0).  This is always important, but especially so with pivots.
    See the forum FAQ {message:id=9360002}

  • Merge form responses into single pdf

I have 30 form responses and would like to combine them into a single pdf.  When I use the Merge Files Into Single PDF feature, the forms are combined into a single pdf, but the first form is duplicated 30 times.  In other words, the form fields on the other 29 forms are replaced with the data from the first form.  Can multiple form responses be combined into a singe pdf and the data be retained for each form?

It is a bit late but I recently came across the same issue with combining mutliple PDF forms for which form fields have identical names. For example 100 people fill out the same PDF form and you need to combine them into one.
I beleive you need to have Acrobat Pro
    1. File > Export > Export Multiple (This brings a dialog up where you can drag and drop a group of files.)
    2. Click OK
    3. Select EPS (Encapsulated PostScript)
    4. Click OK (Now you have .eps files of each PDF)
    5. Advanced > Print Production > Acrobat Distiller
    6. Select Standard
    7. Drag all the EPS files into Distiller
PS - If anyone has a better solution please let me know!

  • Error message when trying to merge multiple files into single PDF file

Greetings! I'm on windows 7 professional, adobe 9 pro and a 64 bit PC. When I try to merge several PDF files from the same folder into a single PDF file I get this error message "You can choose multiple items only if they are all located in the same folder" - Please help! Thx.

The product is Acrobat, not Adobe. That being said, I suspect you may only be running AA 9.0 and that may be the issue. If you have not done the updates to the 9.5.5, you probably should. That may fix the issue you are having, particularly since you mentioned a 64-bit system.

  • Merging numbers documents into single PDF for emailing

I have 23-50 numbers documents (invoices) that I want to send as one single PDF (to save time).
When I select them all in Finder and open in Preview they are not full size and are rotated the wrong way.
When I open them seperately in Numbers and cmd P they show up fine covering the whole A4 paper and are rotated correctly.
Is there any way of sending multiple Numbers files as one PDF, or separate PDFs without having to open each one and Cmd P > PDF and drag/drop into Mail??
Trying to save time, as we have 23-50 of these every week to do!
We don't want to save them as PDFs as we create the documents as this takes up space on the computer - and there's loads of them!
Hoping someone will know the answer.
Thanks for taking the time to help

    Hi again mm,
Use a master document in Numbers to temporarily hold copies of each invoice, each on a separate Sheet.
As you complete each invoice, copy that table and then go to the temporary master document. Add a new Sheet and delete the default table that appears. Paste the new invoice. If the invoice has formulas, Menu > Edit > Paste Formula Results (because in Numbers, the formulas will not link back to the original document).
When you are ready to email this master document, Menu > File > Print... and in Print Preview panel on the right > Print All Sheets:
Click on the Print... button (it won't print yet). Bottom left of the print dialogue choose Save As PDF
That is the PDF for you to email and then delete. *
I tried this with an "invoice" on each of two Sheets. Not tried with 23-50 invoices .

    Ian.

  • Merging Mulitiple Rows into single row

    Hi All ,
I am loading master data to DSO from PSA .
In my source i have got 5 records for specific keys
Ex : Customer Divis  DistChan   Flag   Partner1    Partner Name
               1            PC     11          F1     11                    Jhon
               1            PC     11          F2     12                    Jone
               1            PC     11          F3     13                    Jack
               1            PC     11          F4     14                    Jame
In Target i need to have data in single records
    Ex :
    : Customer Divis  DistChan   Flag   Partner1    Partner1 Name  Partner2     Partner2 Name  Partner3     Partner3 Name Partner4     Partner4 Name
          1            PC     11       F1             11                 Jhon              12                    Jone         13            jack                 14              Jame
To achieve this i have tried with multiple Field routines , but data is not populating for all partner fields .
    Out put in DSO
    Customer Divis  DistChan   Flag   Partner1    Partner1 Name  Partner2     Partner2 Name  Partner3     Partner3 Name Partner4     Partner4 Name
          1            PC     11       F1             11                 Jhon
Any inputs why its not populating data for other fields ...is there other method to make this ??
All your valuable inputs are appropriated
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Raf /Rajesh ,
Thank you so much for your replies
@ Raf Rule group will update data into multiple rows ..
    @ Rajesh
1.In my data only Falg is  differentiator  .
2.You need to create multiple Infoobjects to  meet your requirement. --May i know what do you mean ??, already i have created  multiple infoobjects for every partner w.r.t falg .
    Shown in above data
3.Also you are not sure whether the data from source is always consistent like    5 distribution channels, 5  flags etc. - in data i will have only 5 different flag value -F1,F2,F3,F4,F5
I am wondered to know why multiple field routines are not working ....

  • Merge 2 rows into single row with data update?

    hello all,
i have a table with below data,
declare @tbl table (uid int, uname varchar(10), start_dt date, end_dt date)
    insert into @tbl values (1, 'env1', '4/4/2010', '5/5/2012')
    insert into @tbl values (2, 'env2', '5/4/2010', '6/6/2012')
--earlier start data is '4/4/2010' from 'env1'
--latest end data is '6/6/2012' from 'env2'
    insert into @tbl values (3, 'env1', '3/3/2010', '4/4/2012')
    insert into @tbl values (4, 'env2', '2/2/2010', '5/5/2012')
--earlier start data is '2/2/2010' from 'env2'
--latest end data is '5/5/2012' from 'env2'
    insert into @tbl values (5, 'env1', '8/8/2010', '12/12/2012')
    insert into @tbl values (6, 'env2', '9/9/2010', '10/10/2012')
--earlier start data is '8/8/2010' from 'env1'
    --latest end data is '12/12/2012' from 'env1'insert into @tbl values (6, 'envX', '9/9/2010', '10/10/2012')insert into @tbl values (6, 'envY', '9/9/2010', '10/10/2012')
i need to merge 2 rows for column  "uname" having value "env1" & "env2" to "envZ" and need to capture earlier start date and latest end date from both and update with new.
    the desire output should be,
declare @tbl table (uid int, uname varchar(10), start_dt date, end_dt date)
    insert into @tbl values (1, 'envZ', '4/4/2010', '6/6/2012')
    insert into @tbl values (4, 'envZ', '2/2/2010', '5/5/2012')
    insert into @tbl values (5, 'envZ', '8/8/2010', '12/12/2012')
    insert into @tbl values (6, 'envX', '9/9/2010', '10/10/2012')
    insert into @tbl values (6, 'envY', '9/9/2010', '10/10/2012')
note - i must need to update one row and delete other row as i can't insert new rows (having huge data with other columns also).
    please suggest optimize query. thanks!

Which version and edition of SQL Server are you using?
Whenever there is a row with 'env1', there is a corresponding 'env2' and vice versa?
The row with 'env2' is always after the row with 'env1'?   (uid+1)
If the answers are yes to both questions above, here's a possibility:
    -- code #1 v3
    ;with
    ENVZ as (
    SELECT uid= case when T1.start_dt <= T2.start_dt then T1.uid else T2.uid end,
    start_dt= case when T1.start_dt <= T2.start_dt then T1.start_dt else T2.start_dt end,
    end_dt= case when T1.end_dt > T2.end_dt then T1.end_dt else T2.end_dt end
    from @tbl as T1
    inner join @tbl as T2 on T2.uid=T1.uid+1 and T2.uname='env2'
    where T1.uname = 'env1'
    MERGE
    into @tbl as T3
    using ENVZ as T4
    on T3.uid = T4.uid
when matched and (T3.uname in ('env1','env2')) then
    UPDATE set T3.uname= 'envZ',
    T3.start_dt= T4.start_dt,
    T3.end_dt= T4.end_dt
when not matched by source and (T3.uname in ('env1','env2')) then
    DELETE;
The table @tbl is read three times in the above code. There are probably ways to optimize the above code. Or even other more efficient approach.

  • Merging Gradient Shapes Into Single Object

i have 2 square shapes on my artborad.  each square shape has its own gradient fill.  i would like to merge these 2 shapes to form a single shape.  not a groupe of shapes, but a single, flattened (compounded?) object.
the gradient of the first square includes a zero-alpha.  the second image is the two shapes simply layered, but i want to basically flatten them together to form one shape.
what steps are involved in merging these shapes to form one shape so that their gradients are unaffected by merging with the other?

It is not necessary to have two separate paths for this. You can apply multiple fills (including grad fills) to a single path. You can apply Effects (including Transparency) to individual fills.
So simply draw the one path and give it the first grad (the orange grad). In the Appearance palette's flyout meun, select Add New Fill. Apply the second grad (white/black) to that fill. If working in CS3 or prior, set the Transparency Mode of the second fill to Multiply. (If working in CS4 or newer, you can make one end of the grad transparent.)

  • Automated merging 2 photos into single

Hi guys. Got this issue: I'm shooting large number of used tires photos for online shop. Each tire is done in 2 positions: front track and side view. Is there any way to use automate/actions for merging those 2 photos into one side by side. I need to batch each folder with two photos instead of opening each time two files and then merging?

If you create a psd collage template the size you want for the side be side images. And the image filenames are such ththat the pairs of  files sort together like tire1front,  tire1back, tire2front. tire2back ...tireNfront, tireNback.  You can use to batch collages script to populate the template. You may also be able to use contact sheet II to create two images per sheet.  My script will save populates collages into an output location where contact may
keep all contact sheets created open in Photoshop.
    Photo Collage Toolkit
Photoshop scripting is powerful and I believe this package demonstrates this A video showing a 5 image collage PSD template  being populates with images:
The package includes four simple rules to follow when making Photo Collage Template PSD files so they will be compatible with my Photoshop scripts.
Size the photo collage templates for the print size you want - width, height and print DPI resolution.
Photo collage templates must have a Photoshop background layer. The contents of this layer can be anything.
Photo collage templates must have alpha channels named "Image 1", "Image 2", ... "Image n".
Photo collage templates layers above the background layers must provide transparent areas to let the images that will be placed below them show through.
There are twelve scripts in this package they provide the following functions:
TestCollageTemplate.jsx - Used to test a Photo Collage Template while you are making it with Photoshop.
CollageTemplateBuilder.jsx - Can build Templates compatible with this toolkit's scripts.
LayerToAlphaChan.jsx - Used to convert a Prototype Image Layer stack into a template document.
InteractivePopulateCollage.jsx - Used to interactively populate Any Photo Collage template. Offers most user control inserting pictures and text.
ReplaceCollageImage.jsx - use to replace a populated collage image Smart Object layer with an other image correctly resized and positioned.
ChangeTextSize.jsx - This script can be used to change Image stamps text size when the size used by the populating did not work well.
PopulateCollageTemplate.jsx - Used to Automatically populate a Photo Collage template and leave the populated copy open in Photoshop.
BatchOneImageCollage.jsx - Used to Automatically Batch Populate Collage templates that only have one image inserted. The Collage or Image may be stamped with text.
BatchMultiImageCollage.jsx - Used to Automatically Batch Populate Any Photo Collage template with images in a source image folder. Easier to use than the interactive script. Saved collages can be tweaked.
BatchPicturePackage.jsx - Used to Automatically Batch Populate Any Photo Collage template with an image in a source image folder
PasteImageRoll.jsx - Paste Images into a document to be print on roll paper.
PCTpreferences.jsx - Edit This File to Customize Collage Populating scripts default setting and add your own Layer styles.

  • Merging multiple idocs into 1 XML output

    Hi Gurus,
I've got a scenario whereby i will need to send payment documents via idocs to XI and XI will output them into an XML file.
At the moment, when i perform a payment run for multiple vendors and send the idocs out, i realised that multiple idocs are being sent out and XI will output multiple XML docs.
Is there any way i can merged these idocs into a single XML document? The idocs are all from the same system.
    Thanks in advance.

    HI,
I think this is possible using PACKAGING.
Check this note 814393 on Service Market Place.
You want to create or process an XI message with multiple instances of an IDoc (of the same IDoc or extension type) in the mapping.
Please refer below link to follow the steps to Merge IDOCs under single XML,
SAP Network Blog: Collecting IDocs without using BPM
    Collecting IDocs without using BPM
    IDoc packaging
    Reason and Prerequisites
The relevant IDoc is imported into the Integration Repository.
    Solution
    1) Log on to the Integration Repository.
    2) Open the relevant IDoc in the object editor.
    3) Select the "Export XSD" menu option in the "Tools" menu.
    4) In the subsequent dialog box, assign a file name and save the data to the hard disk of your local PC.
    5) Open the file that you have saved in step 4 in an adequate editor (for example, Notepad) for editing.
    6) Locate the first entry: <xsd:element name="IDOC" type="<
Idocname>"> and add the following expression, maxOccurs="unbounded", between the value of the type attribute and the closing angular bracket.
    Example:
    <xsd:element name="IDOC" type="ADR2MAS.ADR2MAS02"
    maxOccurs="unbounded">
    7) Save the modified file to the hard disk of your local PC.
    8) In the message mapping, use the file saved in step 7 instead of the imported IDoc by using the "Import XML or XSD" function in the mapping tool to select the source or target messages.

  • Splitting multiple IDoc XML files into single IDoc messages for R/3

Hi all. I have a problem splitting IDoc XML files coming in to XI. I currently have an interface that takes in single store sale IDoc transactions (type WPUBON01) in an IDoc XML file. I then have some complex graphical mapping on the IDoc before sending to R/3 via the IDoc adapter. This works fine. However, we now wish to include multiple sales in one file i.e. many WPUBON01 IDocs. I could use message splitting to do this BUT the mapping is so complex, I do not wish to have to change it to enable the processing of many IDocs in one file instead of just one.
What I want to do: have one mapping splitting a multiple IDoc XML file into single IDoc messages and then another taking these single messages as before and performing the mapping. I cannot find a way to do this in one interface; the main problem I'm having is getting XI to split the multiple IDocs into many single IDoc messages within XI itself. I'd be very grateful for any advice on the best way to do this.
    Thankyou.
    Stuart Richards (Halfords, UK)

    Bhavesh,
Thanks again for a clear explanation... I'm moving forwards but still struggling. I've been on this all afternoon today (after a break on other things) and just cannot get my message to split properly (though the SOAP adapter problem I had earlier is now fixed!). If my initial IDoc XML file contains this format:
    <WPUBON01><IDOC>....</IDOC>
                          <IDOC>....</IDOC>
                          <IDOC>....</IDOC></WPUBON01>
.. I'm not sure what the cardinaility on the first message mapping and interface mapping should be. I'd have thought the source interface would be 1 and the target would be 0..unbounded but this isn't working. I'm trying different things but I get different errors each time. Currently, I have the above cardinality in my first interface and I'm passing in the following data:
<WPUBON01><IDOC><EDI_DC40><TABNAM>EDI_DC40</TABNAM><MANDT /><DOCNUM In the message monitor, I get a chequered flag. Great. However, I get the dreaded error 500 in the SOAP receiver comm channel:
SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 500 Internal Server Error
Exception caught by adapter framework: SOAP Error
Delivery of the message to the application using connection AFW failed, due to: SOAP Error.
Any ideas as to what this might be?! I'm getting there.... if I get a solution out of this, I promise to write the blog myself!
    Cheers

  • How can we configure or control records go into single idoc thru BODS?

    Hi,
    Our case is -
IDOC format has three segment. Each segments has child nodes -
    1. CONTROL SEGMENT - This is required only once per idoc.
    child1
    child2
    2. SEGMENT1 - sinlge source record to be broken into two segments.
    child1
    child2
    3. SEGMENT2 - sinlge source record to be broken into two segments.
    child1
    child2
we have a single source (lest say having 100 records).
In the current design which does generates IDOCS but as many as the no of records in source. Currently we use a row generation transform as dummy (with row count as 1) to pass to the IDOC parent nodes's from clause to escape the error - invalid input to the parent nodes.
Child nodes are either mapped to the source table or are null.
Question - How can we configure this in a way that we control how many records go into single idoc. Ex - lets say 50 per idoc so only 2 idoc should be created if 100 records are there.

    HI,
this sounds to me like Data Services. If so I would suggest to post this into the Data Service forum.

  • Convert the IDOC XML file into single string?

    Hello All,
I have a scenario, where i need to conver the IDOC XML  into single string, to send it to target.
Please let me know how can we achive this, I dont know java coding.
Please help me out to write the java code.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Chinna

    Hi Chinna,
You can do this in two ways -
    1. Java mapping
    https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/XI/JavaMapping-ConverttheInputxmlto+String
    https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/Snippets/JavaMapping-ConverttheInputxmltoString
    2. XSLT mapping

  • Acrobat 9 Pro Merge Files Into Single PDF

Just wanted to know if there's a way on Acrobat 9 Pro,i can select a folder using Merge Files Into Single PDF and have it merge each of the subfolders in the folder into separate single PDFs and have then retain the names of their corresponding subfolders? At the moment i'm having to do one folder at a time and then name them.
    Any help would be great

    Hi Bill
Thanks so very much - you have solved the problem.
I tried Document > Insert Pages and that worked.
I then ran the "Repair" feature on Adobe which installed a few updates and I am now also able to merge pdf's by using the "Combine" feature and all the pages show the text/info.
Thanks again for your help, it is very much appreciated.
Thank you also to Apoorv for your assistance.

  • Why is Merge into single pdf using InDesign CS3 and not CS4 ?

I'm new to this so the question may be trivial, but it beats me:
I've created some InDesign files in CS4 and want to combine them into one PDF. So I opened Acrobat 9 Pro and
navigated to "Merge files into single pdf". I chose the CS4 InDesign files to Add and clicked the Combine Files button.
BUT, this starts up InDesign CS3 and not InDesign CS4 and returns a pop-up saying "unidentified error".
Why is starting CS3 InDesign and not CS4, and what is the "unidentified" error ! ?
As background I intially installed CS3 and then updated to CS4, leaving the CS3 applications intact. When I initially
bought CS3, just before CS4 was released I may have created pdfs from InDesign as an experiment, but it is possible I have not done this
    since upgrading to CS4.
    Thanks for any help

Thanks Michael, I was not aware of quality issues. Actually this is not really significant for my usage this time. What I'm doing is just using ID to capture notes/images/links etc in several free format ID documents. I then planned to merge them quickly into one pdf using Acrobat. I can easily shuffle the file order around to create a handy portable pdf reference document with the Merge feature.
Doing something similar from ID seemed to me to require me to create pdfs for each ID doc and them to merge them in Acrobat. I did start to write a simple script to do this in ID, but I then realised that I wanted the ordering to vary and the ID files would likely to change. Then I found the merge and bingo, that solved it..... Well it solved it on another CS4 installation that had never seen CS3, but not on my machine which had been upgraded from CS3.
I tried looking in the registry for obvious entries that might point Acrobat to use ID CS3 rather than CS4, but couldn't spot anything. I wonder if there is something buried in there ?
    Thanks again for helping
    Regards.
