Merging two versions; one w/PAL Audio one w/NTSC Video

Here's an oddity...for a project was given a 2 hour video file in NTSC w/really bad sound levels. When I asked for it to be given a corrected copy, I got one with PAL video, with bad picture but great sound. Trying to get a third copy (third time is the charm) but for fun trying to see if there is a way to merge the two. First thing I tried was using the PAL Audio under the NTSC video (which of course didn't work, as the audio was longer due to frame rate, I assume). Then tried to change the length of the PAL audio in ProTools, changing it's speed by a small percent so the final length matched the NTSC video (fun experiment, but the synch wasn't at all right). Even tried converting the footage via Nattress, but no such luck.
Curious if there's anything else I should try for experimental learning...

Hi Phrisbee,
If it is set to 1.5meg than that is fine.
I say downoad as it has to match this when people have a asymetric service like most (A)DSL services are.
IF you don't know what you actually get from your ISP or want to test it there are test sites

  • How do I merge two valid, purchased iTunes accounts into one so all my music is in same account?

    I have two valid, purchasd iTunes accounts.  Older iPod has some great music, I just got a new iPad and set up second iTunes account, bought some more iTunes items for that account.  Just discovered iCloud.  Now I want to put all my music from both accounts onto the cloud so I can access it on all my apple devices.   Can't seem to add from one account to the other.  Can sign onto the new account wiht my old iPod, but it will not let me sync without erasing all the music on the device.  How can I merge these two accounts into one?
    PS  Makes you wonder how helpful support is when the usernames "Frustrated," "really frustrated," and "Help!!!!" are all taken...lol

    Why?
    Remove your info from new account, update old account as needed and use that.

    can i have two versions of OSX running on one computer?

    Yes. The second one can be installed on an internal or external drive, but can't be one that the computer wouldn't be able to run if installed on the internal drive.

  • How to merge two pages of a PDF into one

    How do I merge two pages (within the same PDF file) into one page?  For example, I have a scanned 3x5 card; the front of the card is on page one and the back of the card is on page two.  How do I merge them so the front and back of the card is on the same page?  Thanks!

    Phillip,
    It works well because InDesign is highly reliable for placing PDF files (you can even choose which layer):
    And it uses the common PDF Export presets for the Creative Suite. I've used it very reliably to place ads saved as PDF, and including them in a program guide, then exporting the entire project as one PDF file.

  • Merge two versions of my website?

    I have saved two versions of my website and would like to 'transfer' a couple of the pages from one to the other to make the perfect one. The master pages are the same in both. Is that possible?
    I can't even open the two versions at the same time.

    Hi mslens,
    At this point of time you have the option of opening both web sites together in different tabs and select all the content you want to move and copy paste to the web site where you want it to be.

  • Can you merge two libraries from 2 users on one mac to create 1 library?

    I have an intel based Imac updated current. My wife and I have seperate user accounts both set with admin privelages.
    The problem that I am having is that we both have seperate itunes libraries. I would like to merge both libraries into one, so we both can save to and access the same files in itunes when logged in as our individual users.
    IMac   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

    The only way to merge tow iPhoto libraries is to use the paid version of iPhoto Library Manager - http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/ -

  • NTSC to PAL - Audio: One converter speeds it up, one doesn't

    I have tested both DV Atlantis and JES Deinterlacer to convert NTSC DV to PAL DV and, image-wise, they both do a good job (although JES is much, much faster)
    However with the audio: Atlantis speeds up the soundtrack by 5% (resulting in a higher pitch) but JES does not. The soundtrack sounds the same as the original NTSC.
    I'm confused. Doesn't converting to PAL always result in a speed-up soundtrack? Am I getting "true" PAL with JES? Why do the 2 programs handle audio differently?
    Thanks

    What version of Compressor are you using? Compressor 2 has frame rate conversion settings under the Frame Controls tab (offering various levels of quality).
    In any case, you might want to try the freeware utility JES Deinterlacer since it supports fairly good NTSC to PAL conversion using either frame blending or a form of inverse telecine (to convert from NTSC's 29.97fps to PAL's 25fps). If you're using Compressor 1.X then this may be your best option unless you are willing to spend some money on an alternative, third-party solution.
    You can download JES Deinterlacer from VersionTracker.com -- it comes with instructions.<small><hr width="75%"><small>If this suggestion helps in any way, a confirmation or acknowledgment would be appreciated, since that would also help others who may be having the same difficulty. • Merge two versions

    I have done a very stupid thing, but maybe there's help:
    I wanted to publish part of my homepage. So I backed up everything via Time Machiene,, then deleted all the parts I didn't want published, and published the rest. What I didn't know: TM backed up the new version with all the parts deleted, not the last version I saved.
    So now I have two backups in TM: one with a new site I created, but without all the rest that isn't finished yet, and one with the unfinished rest, but without the new site.
    Is there any way to copy that new site into the older version?

    Restore both versions and then use iWebSites to merge the two into one file, two sites. Then you can drag Page 1 of Site 2 into Site 1 and put it anywhere in Site you you'd like. The same goes for the other pages in Site 2 that you want to move to Site 1.

  • How to merge two crystal reports into one in Delphi using TCrpe?

    I am absolutely new to Delphi and Crystal Reports. I figured that I can export a crystal report to pdf like this:
          crpe.Clear;
        crpe.ReportName := 'BasicInfo.rpt';
        crpe.ParamFields[0].CurrentValue := '0';
        crpe.Output := toExport;
        crpe.ExportOptions.Destination := toApplication;
        crpe.ExportOptions.FileName:='C:\CoverSheet.pdf';
        crpe.ExportOptions.FileType:=AdobeAcrobatPDF;
        crpe.Export;
    (Although this is working, please let me know if I am doing it wrong )
    My main problem here is: I have two .rpts "BasicInfo.rpt" and "Details.rpt" and I need to create one pdf out of them in Delphi.
    Is there any way to merge two .rpts and export it into one pdf in Delphi?

    You cannot merge two reports into one PDF - not in any CR SDK. There are 3rd party utilities that will let you do this, but no APIs for this in CR.
    BTW.; What version of CR are you using?

  • I downloaded two versions of the same album by mistake can I get a refund on one?

    I downloaded two versions of the same album, one staight after the other, I've been charged for both, can I get one removed and a refund?

    Carol,
    William Lloyd said it all, but perhaps Kirby Krieger's User Tip will explain a bit more the different uses of albums and projects:
                       The Well-Trod Path: a Beginner's Guide to how Aperture's major parts inter-relate
    Then I imported into Aperature, created new versions, one for each snapshot, then cropped each snapshot, so each snapshot is seperate in Aperature.
    You want to find each snapshot separately in Aperture? Perhaps you could explain more, how you want to organize your photos. William pointed out albums to group versions of an image. You could also assign keywords to mark special occasions like birthdays, weddings, etc.  You could assign faces to find photos of persons by name. You can use the search field in the browser to search for photos by face, date, keyword, etc.  Aperture is really great for accessing images in many different ways. There must be a way to access the images in your Aperture library just like you want to.
    Then, I tried to organize the ton of photos into projects and it won't let multiple versions of the same original photo be in separate projects.
    That is, how Aperture works. All versions of an image need to be in the same project, because they are sharing the same imported original image file. Aperture tries to save your disk space, by by not creating image files for the edited versions. Versions are just a set of instructions how to produce the rendered image, when you want to edit it or to export it. Unless you are working with the version, it will live in limbo and it will not exist as an image file. So all versions are kept together in the same project with the original image file that is necessary to render them as an image.

  • Merged two libraries. new one is smaller than the largest one!

    I merged two iPhoto libraries using iPhoto Library Manager. One library had 6299 pics and the other had 178. The new one has 6474 pics (short of 3 photographs). The deal is that my library with 6299 is 33gb and my new library with 6474 pics is 31 gbs!
    have i lost something crucial?

    You merged two libraries into a third, new one? Most likely there's no caches developed yet. Sync with a phone or iPod and see what happens then.

  • How to run different versions of Apache Tomcat on one machine?

    Hi, I am developing a web application. My application runs on Apache Tomcat 5.5.12 and i am using jdk 1.5_03. My application detects files that are automatically scanned to a specific directory and queues them for capture in a database.
    The scanner software (HP Toolbox) is also a web application (Unfortunately), it installs itself with Apache Tomcat 4.03. It is "wired" in a specialised way (not the way you would usually deploy web apps). So the Web server is customised by HP (Hewlett-Packard).
    The scanner needs this software running inorder to automatically scan to a specified folder. You can only specify local directories to scan to from the Toolbox application
    There seems to be some resource conflict when I run my version of Tomcat when the Toolbox application is running (I get an exception
    ..IllegalMonitorState...current thread not owner). Visa vera is alos true..if i start my application first the Toolbox application won't run.
    I tried to install the Toolbox app on another machine and monitor a directory remotely...this doesn't work because you can't read or write to remote files from a servlet or JSP.
    I tried loading my application in the web apps directory of Apache 4.03 but it did not detect my application. I don't know how to configure the Tomcat customised by HP.
    How can i go about this problem? Is there a way of running two versions of Apache Tomcat on one machine?
    Thanks

  • Merging two XML Document Objects

    I'm trying to merge two seperate XML Document Objects into one Object.
    Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
    This is what the Objects look like when returned.
    FIRST:
    <?xml version = '1.0'?>
    <app>
    <name>Home</name>
    <active>true</active>
    <order-as-sibling>1</order-as-sibling>
    </app>
    SECOND:
    <app>
    <name>Developers</name>
    <active>true</active>
    <order-as-sibling>6</order-as-sibling>
    </app>

    That would work nicely if the XML documents had names, but they are coming back as a list in an XML object. I have about 8 separate XML Objects I'd like to merge into one.
    Thanks

  • I have just downloaded Photoshop CC and found it installed two versions.

    I am using Adobe Creative Cloud.  I have just downloaded Photoshop CC and found it installed two versions. I beleive the 32 bit version and the 64 bit version.  Is there a reason it has installed two versions?  Can I remove one version as I am running a Windows 8.1 64 bit machine?

    I don't know if my issue is the same or not...
    I  updated Photoshop CC last week, and  now have Photoshop CC and Photoshop CC 2014 in my applications folder. When I open a file created in Photoshop, it opens Photoshop. However, if I open another Photoshop file (by double-clicking on it), it opens up in a second Photoshop app (not the app that's already open)... so I have two Photoshops open at the same time. And both are CC versions.
