Message Mapping fails because of RFC

Guys,
1) I have some messages failed in SXMB_MONI because message mapping for those interfaces was not executed successfully. In trace I can see the following:
"com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (102) RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION: Connect to SAP gateway failed Connect_PM TYPE=A ASHOST=121.12.2.15 SYSNR=02 GWHOST=121.12.2.15 GWSERV=sapgw02 PCS=1 LOCATION CPIC (TCP/IP) on local host with Unicode ERROR partner not reached (host ?, service ?) TIME Wed Jul 11 07:20:27 2007 RELEASE 640 COMPONENT NI (network interface) VERSION 37 RC -10 COUNTER 1024</Trace>"
I realize it is a network connection problem, but..
Any ideas?
2) Actually, in my mapping programs I have to perform many RFC's to both XI and target/source SAP systems, in order to get some information. The techique that I am using for RFC's is through Java's com.sap.mw.jco.* package. And I connect to systems by giving the IP address, system number, username and password of the systems and then I execute the remote enabled function modules.
However. when I have many RFC's some of them fail, maybe because the maximum number is reached. And then I have to manually restart them from SXMB_MONI and they are successfully processed.
Any ideas?

But you said you call many RFCs inside XI, right?
The proper way of doing it is not using JCo directly, but using Mapping Lookup API instead. In this way, you won't need to maintain the connection details inside the code, but in the communication channels.
Check this out: https://help.sap.com/javadocs/NW04S/current/pi/index.html (lookup api).
There are some code examples within the classes (for example, RfcAcessor).
I think there is also a SDN documentation by Michal Krawczyk regarding RFC Lookups.
Just search for it.

Henrique.

  • How to know if Message mapping failed?

    Hi gurus,
do anyone know how to determine in clean up method if a message mapping failed? i just want to know the status of the message mapping to put it in the trace.
    Regards

    Thanks for your reply Abhishek,
but this is not exactly what i need.
Suppose following Graphical message mapping: two number  A and B need to be divided, A/B. If B equal 0 (zero), this will throw Runtime Exception. In some point of my mapping (maybe at the end of it) i need to catch this Exception, or at least i need to know exception happened. I need to know it to update a table with message mapping status, eg succesfully executed, runtime error, etc.

  • 674 ERROR: Message operation failed because of a bad address

On our tuxedo server we have the following error that is repeatedly writen on its log:
155140.RJODIGD02!sid_server_ro.778390.1.0: ERROR: msgrcv err(LIBTUX_CAT:674: ERROR: Message operation failed because of a bad address): errno=14,qid=27729940,buf=3299838207512,bytes=1049340,type=-1073741824,flag=0
This error does not affect the Server functionality but we would like to know by what could be due:
we have seen the error description but from this we could not find out the real causes:
674 ERROR: Message operation failed because of a bad address
    DESCRIPTION
msgsnd to a queue failed because the message pointer is pointing to an illegal address.
    ACTION
Check the address of the message queue pointer, or contact your TUXEDO System Technical Support.
Any help is well accepted ......... thanks a lot in advance.
    Ciao

    Hi,
If I had to guess, I'd say you were looking at a memory corruption problem. The error basically says that when Tuxedo tried to perform a msgrcv() operation on a System V IPC queue, the address of the buffer to receive the message wasn't valid. Although if this is really a memory corruption problem, I'm surprised your server continues to function. You might want to try a memory checking tool to see if your code is writing to memory it doesn't have allocated or writing past the ends of an allocated buffer.

  • RFC Lookup's in message mapping fail with RuntimeException for no reason

    Hi guys,
We have developed interfaces that execute a lot of RFC's from Message Mapping, by making use of RFC Lookup API.
In ID, in the corresponding RFC Receiver Communication Channel we have set the number of maximum connections to 100.
However, when a big number of Idocs with lots of items is sent to XI some messages fail in XI because mapping fails with a runtime exception that is not correct, since there is a return value found from the execution of the RFC function. And when I am testing the mapping in Test mode of XI IR, the mapping is executed successfully.
Do you think that by increasing the maximum number of connections in Communication Channel, it will take effect?
    Evaggelos

    Hi Evaggelos,
    DECREASE, may be til 10.

  • Message mapping transformation error for RFC calls

    Hi,
I am having a weird problem. recently client migrated the server and we started getting all possible errors in XI which we are able to fix. Now we have a strange problem in quality system alone where the bapi calls are made from QA11 and MIGO. The bapi call from MIGO is sucessfull but from QA11 it fails with below error
    com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException
    thrown during application mapping
    com/sap/xi/tf/_MP_RFC_PROXY_GOODS_RECEIPT_:
    RuntimeException in Message-Mapping transformatio~
I checked in development system and production where it is sucessfull but in quality its failing. I checked the cache and refreshed for confirmation and checked the trace and log files but couldt find any solution. The call made from a test report is also sucesfull but only bapi calls from QA11 are failing.
Note: i am using same bapi in MIGO and QA11 and the integration is same as well. There is no difference in data between 2 transaction just the trigerring point is differenct.
I tested my message mapping, interface mapping and configuration as well with sample payload and they are working fine.
I checked SDN and saw that similar issue is faced by others but no solution is provided.

  • How to do message mapping in IDoc or RFC to file transfer ?

Hello guys. I have a doubt. I know how to do an IDoc to file or RFC to file scenario. But how to do mapping in an Idoc to file or RFC to file scenario ? As I understand mapping is done in the sender. But IDoc or RFhas no interface as its used for SAP. So where do we need to perform mapping ?

    Hi,
You dont need the Data type and message type for IDOC's, RFC's and for external definitions. so u just create one DT,MT for your File structure and you need 2 message interfaces, one for file and one for the Idoc/RFC. You can use them in your mapping program.

  • Error message: sending failed because you exceeded your sending limit

I can't send any more e-mails from my iphone 4S anymore. The message I get reads: A copy has been placed in your outbox. Sending failed because you exceeded your sending limit. My contract offers unlimited data so that can't be the problem. The problem occurred after I tried to send a photo with an address change notification to about 50 addressees from my addressbook. I have deleted that mail from my outbox but can still not send any mails.
    Thanks for your help

    Hey Hall-K,
Since you have deleted the message and are still experiencing issues sending email, I would check out the following article and follow the troubleshooting steps within (which I pasted below):
iOS: Unable to send or receive email
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3899
If you are unable to send or receive email, try the following steps:
    Restart the iOS device.
Tap Safari and attempt to load a webpage to ensure that the device has Internet access. If you're unable to load a webpage, try the Wi-Fi assistant.
    Try an alternative Internet connection.
If your email is provided by your Internet provider, try connecting from the home network.
If your iOS device has an active cellular data plan, try to disable Wi-Fi:  Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn off Wi-Fi.
If not, try a different Wi-Fi network.
Log in to your email provider's website to ensure that the account is active and the password is correct.
Delete the account from Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and then add the email account again on the iOS device.
    Hope that helps,
    David

    Hi,
    Create :
    1. Source & Target Data Types
    2. Messge Type (for source & target data types)
    3. Two Message Interface for using above message types
    4. One Message mapping using source & target message Type
    5. One Interface mapping.
In message mapping just map those field which you require. You can leave rest of the fileds un mapped at source which are not required to map.

  • Message mapping failing

    Hi all,
I am working in a scenario in which i am reading an xml file , but it is failing as it contains encodingas UTF-16, if i am changingthis to UTF-8 the mapping is working. please help
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Martin

    Hi Martin,
This can be done by changing configurations in file adapter.
Specify file type as Text and Under File Encoding specify code page as UTF-8,
this will convert the incoming xml encoding as UTF-8.
