Message tab missing when opening emails in Outlook 2013

Hello,
I have a client where their Message tab will sometimes disappear when opening a new email message window. They have to reboot the application to get the message tab to display again. It's pretty intermittent so it's hard to replicate at the snap of my fingers.
There are no errors in Event Viewer and all add-ins are acting correctly. Has anyone seen this or knows what to look for?

Hi,
Are you using a custom form when creating a new email message? If so, please try clearing the form cache and then check if this issue will happen again. To do this, please follow:
1. Click File > Options > Advanced
2. Scroll to the Developers section, click Custom Forms button.
3. Click Manage Forms button.
4. Click Clear Cache button.
In addition, we can also try resetting your Ribbon to see if it helps. To do this, click New Email button to open a new email, click File > Options > Customize Ribbon, click Reset > Reset all customizations.

Lync presence coloured square not working when sending email in Outlook 2013

OK, I'm running Lync 2013 & Outlook 2013.
When I send an email from Outlook the small Lync presence icon that appears in the "To" field after you type the user your sending the email to does not appear. You get the user name but where the coloured square should be it's just white
(like the background colour).
If I hove the mouse pointer over the user name the pop-up contacts box shows the Lync presence correctly.
At the bottom of the new email window, the Lync presence is always shown correctly.
This happens for users with or without pictures set as their Lync icon.
I've completed a repair of the Office install without success. Also uninstalled Lync & Office and re-installed but still no joy. Also tried creating new Outlook profile but this didn't work.
If I create a brand new Windows 7 profile, and then create a new mail profile it works fine. So, it must be a user profile problem. Hopefully someone can point me to a registry key or something as I'd rather not go through the pain of migrating
to a new user profile.

If we need to show the Online status for contacts, just go to FILE tab ->
Options -> People -> check Display online status next to name ->
OK.
Please also try the steps below:
Lync -> Options -> Personal -> Under
Personal information manager -> Select None ->
OK.
Go to Outlook, People, Right click on Lync Contacts and
Delete Folder.
Then go back to Lync to the same options, choose Microsoft Exchange or Microsoft Outlook, go back to Outlook let the Lync contacts sync again to check the result.

Acropdf.dll crashes when opening email in Outlook

I'm not sure what forum to post this question in ... hopefully this is the correct one. We have several users whose Outlook crashes whenever they attempt to open an email with a PDF attached. The crash report indicates acropdf.dll is the culprit. This is happening with various versions of Office and Windows. Out of 30,000 users, we have about 100 people with this problem. This problem does not occur with Web Access, only with the Outlook client. I realize this could be a Microsoft issue, but researching a solution showed a lot of people having this problem, and I was hoping someone on here might be able to point me to a solution.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Office, Reader, Flash, and ActiveX. I have made sure Windows updates have been installed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled all the fonts (copied from another computer with no problems). Nothing solve the problem.
Any ideas?

I may have posted this in the wrong forum. The computers in question have Reader, Flash, and ActiveX installed. When attempting to open an email with a PDF attachment, Outlook encounters an unexpected error and closes. Viewing the crash report show acropdf.dll is the culprit. I didn't see a generic Reader forum to post this is. Let me know if I need to move it to another forum.

Missing emails on Outlook 2013, not happy.

Bought a new PC and on previous PC was using Outlook 2010, new PC uses Outlook 2013. After synchronising with the server I have emails dating back to 2009, which is fine, but there are a lot of emails missing from Nov 2014-Mar 2015. No matter
how many times I hit send/receive they just dont show up in Inbox. How can I get these emails back?

As per the information and details provided by you, to solve the issues of missing emails in Outlook 2013, please follow these steps: -
Get the files from old computer
Put files on New Computer
Create a Profile
More Settings
Add Old Data File (.pst)
Finishing Touches
Signature and Stationery
Do you leave mail on POP3 server? By default Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2013 automatically leave POP3 mail on the server for 14 days.
Things to keep in mind when you are preparing the new computer: -
You really only need to move the PST and create a new profile using this PST, the other files Outlook uses are created as you use Outlook.
If you use Windows Easy Transfer to move your Outlook data, you can need to recreate your Outlook profile as the move process can corrupt. You can only move user data,
not the program itself.
Your accounts are stored in the registry and need to be recreated on the new computer.

Based on the instance number of the servers, you can determine the gateway to be used.
IF your ECC instance number is , 01 then gateway would be , sapgw01 (in ECC system)
So check and change the settings accordingly, in the RFC connection. Also check, if this entry sapgw01 is made in /etc/service file. Also check, in transaction smgw for gateway parameters.

I upgraded to 10.5.6, now mail crashes randomly when opening emails

After the 10.5.6 upgrade, every time I opened Mail it would quit. I then deleted com.apple.mail plist as suggested on Mac FixIt. Now it opens, doesn't immediately quit but when opening emails, the application will randomly quit. Please help.

Do you have any plug-ins running? I had the same problem as you and had an old version of OMIC or Letter Opener as plug-in. I upgraded the plug-in, and since then everything is fine.

Sending HTML email from outlook 2013 exchange it comes broken to non outlook clients.

Hi, when i send out email from my outlook 2013 where is configured Microsoft exchange account it comes broken to gmail clients. All html mail is broken and attachments comes like this file.jpg_ or adobe.pdf_ If i send mail to outlook user
all is good but if client uses something else , they receive broken mail.

Some question to help narrowing down the causes:
1. Does this issue occur when using Outlook to configure the Gmail account, does the format change?
2. Does this issue also occur when sending HTML emails to other remote domains?
If the emails is fine when opening them on Outlook, it think Exchange does not change anything on the email. The issue occurs depends on how email clients open the email.

any idea how to make a button to send a message from a list of emails in lightswitch 2013.4 HTML.
my idea is to send message to all emails in the details picker (or the drop down menu or a choice list) tat is filled by SQL query (as a data source in lightswitch)

When you create the ASHX then replace the ProcessRequest with the above function.
In LS HTML Screen create the function for pressing a button an appen the following text:

The zooming factor set via the zoom slider or by scrolling is not persistent.
You can set the font for messages you send (including the plain text messages you compose and read) in
File > Options > Mail, under Compose messages, click

If you using on a windows pc, maybe you should reinstall the iCloud Control Panel. You can download the latest version from here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1455?viewlocale=en_US
If you cant see your changes on icloud.com than you have trouble between outlook and icloud. this is the part of the icloud control panel.

Outlook 2013 / Outlook 365 crashes after SP1 when opening email

I already posted this question in the Outlook forum but was referred to this one because I am connecting to Exchange servers:
I have a frustrating issue with Outlook 2013 (Work)/ Outlook 365 (Home) after the installation of Office Service Pack 1. Outlook starts fine and shows the Outlook Today screen. As soon as I go to my inbox and Outlook wants to show the preview of the first
email it crashes. The switch /NoPreview lets me go to my inbox but then Outlook crashes when I try to open an email (any email).
Outlook runs fine in Safe Mode so I tried to uninstall / disable Add Ins (set LoadBehavior to 0 in the registry). No success.
At work I could fix the issue by uninstalling SP1. But at home Office fails to roll back to a version before SP1 (integratedoffice.exe REPAIRUI RERUNMODE version xxxxxxxxxx). It says I must be online (which I am, of course). Reinstalling didn't help either.
Windows 7 Enterprise, 64 Bit (Work), Windows 7 Business, 64 Bit (Home). Office 32 Bit.
Company hosted Exchange Server 2010 (Work), 3rd party hosted Exchange account 2013 (Home), Outlook.com account (Home).
Creating a new profile with only the Outlook.com account did not fix the issue.
Outlook Product Stability Diagnostic and OfficeCAT could not find anything. So I don't know what to do anymore. Please help.

PS: At home I fixed the issue by reinstalling my notebook with Windows 8.1. Now Outlook is running fine again. But still no solution for work.

Is Hardware Graphics Acceleration enabled? We're seeing problems with Windows 7 when Aero is enabled - Outlook works fine with basic themes.

When opening email tab in task bar it opens an email link.

Please can some one help, when I click on the email button up in the right hand corner of the tab bar it opens a link to the current page that is open and not to eM clients main page, which means I have to close this link before I can send or receive emails. can any one please tell me if this can be altered many thanks Paul.

Thank you for your email, Sorry the problem is still there,
When firefox has opened at my home page I would like then to be able also to open my email program, which is eM Client from the email link envolope in the top right hand task bar. But when I click on the link, it does open eMail client but it also opens an email link to the current page that is open in Firefox. Which then I have to shut down before I can check for or send emails.
I did try that link that you sent me, which said to press and hold the home button in the same taskbar to bring up the apps but nothing happened.

MS Access Freezes and Closes when I save a draft email via Outlook 2013

I have Access 2013 Office 365. When I email a report from access via Outlook 2013 I have problems. Outlook opens fine. If I hit send everything is fine. However if I save the email as a draft Access freezes and then closes after a 10- 15 sec delay.
The email is saved as a draft in Outlook but very annoying to have to reopen my Database .
The message I get is : MS Access has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available
I tried compact and repair but that didn't help. Also tried turned of add ons. That didn't work.
Never had this problem with office 2010. What can I do?
I just discovered the same thing is happening in Excel and Word.

Error message from web - when opening pdf files

Hi,
I receive the following error message a lot when I try to open an educational pdf file from the web. What do I need to do to 1. see, 2. print and 3. save these type of educational pdf files from the web? I am using a MacBookPro OS X.

Example: I try to import or download MIT18_06SCF11_Ses3.5sum 2.pdf onto my desktop - which seems successful. However when I try to open this file, I get the following error message.:
"Adobe Reader could not open 'MIT18_06SCF11_Ses3.5sum 2.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)."

Yes i tried following your list of commands and got the same error from MyMathLab by Pearson Publishing or the other link. I'm beginning to wonder if they are protected.
As you probably guess - I am not computer savvy. I will take my laptop to school tomorrow and ask another student.
