MessageBox with Indirect Acces license on SBO 8.8

Hello,
We are experiencing problems with the Indirect Access license on SBO 8.8.
We can't use the Application MessageBox in our AddOn.
The messagebox displays the message, but when the user aswers by clicking on the buttons, the system returns the error :
HRESULT : 0x80010105 (RPC_E_SERVERFAULT)
This error doesn't occur with a SAP Professional User license.
The error occurs on this type of code :
oApplication.MessageBox('Question', 1,'Bouton1Text', 'Bouton2Text') = 1 Then
Because of that, we can't use an Indirect Access license on our Add On...
Do you know if it's a correct behavior ?
Can we do otherwise ?

"Indirect Access u2013 can access any SSP solutions (developed with the SAP Business One DI-API)
only. Indirect access license is bundled with the DI server. Users who have an indirect access license
can access limited number of application forms, but cannot perform any functions with SAP Business
One application. Users who have an indirect access license can access an unlimited number of SSP
solutions."
An Add-on Access User ...
"SAP Business One Add-on-Access User - can access the SAP Business One software through a
third-party product approved by SAP. This user applies as follows:
If a customer uses a solution (add-on/extension) developed by a SAP Business One VAR with the
SAP Business One Software Development Kit (SDK), using the Application Programming Interface/s
(API/s), a SAP Business One Add-on-Access User must be licensed.
If customers run several partner solutions, they need to license one SAP Business One Add-on-
Access User for each running solution.
The SAP Business One Add-on-Access User enables customers to use only Partnersu2019 Solutions
without having to license an SAP Business One Professional User. The SAP Business One Add-on-
Access User includes limited functionality of SAP Business One that is part of the integration between
the Partner Solution and SAP Business One."

Running SAP 8.8 with 2 different License Servers on different machines

Hi all!
We have a problem using SAP 8.8 with more than 1 license server.
Here is the situation:
i would like to use a local license server and a local sbo-common with some databases. additional we have an other server with a license server and sbo-common with databases. the licenses are different from each other. the local license has a license for the manager, the license at the other server not. instead it has licenses for other users.
So i would like to work on both servers from my pc. furthermore, i would like to run 2 SAP applications: one connected to my local license server and database, the other connected to the non local server and database.
In 2007 this was possible!!! It seems that the license management works different in SAP 8.8. It should be possible that SAP reminds which server and database belongs to which licence server. But this isn't possible!
may you have same expierences...

you are right, but there seems to be a bug in licences mechanism. Here a quote from my SAP message:
Szenario:
Start B1 Client, connect to server A - everything OK
Start B1 Clinet connect to sever B - no licence, because in B1 ist Licence Server A.
Change licence server to B in B1
Restart Client, connect to server B, everything OK
Start Client, connect to server A. No licence.
And additional: In SBO-COMMON on sever A in table SLIC the column LSRV is: SERVER B. Thats in my opinion an bug.
What do you mean?

If you apply 1 indirect access user license then only 1 user can access each SSP solution concurrently.
In 2007B for every 1 Professional/Limited CRM/Limited Financial/Limited Logistics/Indirect Users, 5 x Add-on Access is issued. Please refer to SAP Note: [1223477|https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1odSZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=1223477].
Thatu2019s mean that 1 user can use 5 SSP solutions concurrently. Those 5 add-on access users can not be assigned to other users.
In 8.8 Users who have an indirect access license can access an unlimited number of SSP solutions concurrently.
Please note that the total number of users using SAP Business One (direct or indirect) should not exceed the number of purchased user licenses.

Can not install Adobe CC with a school license

As the title says it, I can't install Adobe CC with a school license.
I still get updates and can install them but when I try to open Photoshop, Illustrator, ... I always receive the message about the license.
I received a PDF from school how I can install it because I already had a license from 2013.
I followed the instructions given in the PDF, Filled in all the codes, payed the Creative Cloud, but still I receive this message.
Can somebody help me, or does somebody knows what I did wrong?

Thanks for the response, but it is already fixed. There was a problem with a redemption code of the school and they fixed it.

Issue with indirect Quotation Exchange rates...

Hi All,
I am using FM 'POSTING_INTERFACE_CLEARING' to clear the customer open items.
While posting with indirect quotation exchange rates i.e BKPF-KURSF is in negative.It is throwing below error
"The Exchange rate may not be transferred if negative".
When i check it in BKPF table the value is saved like exp: '/1.9010'. for select query it is picking like '1.9010-'
How to resolve this issue.? it is very urgent.

I gave the OB08 entries, not sure if you wanted me to explain the logic. Here it is..
Maintain 'Indirect quotation' from Local currency(USD) to Transaction currency(CAD) and 'Direct quotation' from Transaction currency(CAD) to Local currency(USD).
Direct quotation is where the cost of one unit of foreign currency is given in units of local currency, whereas indirect quotation is where the cost of one unit of local currency is given in units of foreign currency.
Your local currency is USD:
- Direct exchange rate: 1CAD = 0.92819 USD
- Indirect exchange rate: 1USD = 1.08238 CAD
The following settings have been made in the standard system:
- Direct quotation: ' '
-   Indirect quotation: ' / '
Direct exchange rates do not have a prefix.
Your local currency is USD. You enter a business transaction in the transaction currency CAD. Until now, you had to use direct quotation to enter the exchange rate (1CAD =0.92819 USD). If you have defined '/' as the prefix for indirect quotation, you can also enter the exchange rate with indirect quotation (1 USD = 1.08238 CAD) by entering '/1.08238' in the exchange rate field.
Direct or indirect quotation can be maintained as the standard form of quotation for a certain currency pair. You use:
         - '1' for direct quotation
         - '2' for indirect quotation
If a standard form of quotation has not been specified for a currency pair, the system automatically uses direct quotation.
You make the settings in the IMG: General Settings -- Currencies -- Set Standard for Direct/Indirect Quotation per Currency Pair.

Yes, gladly. I am trying to install on a 13" MacBook Pro with OS X 10.8.3. I insert the disk into the SuperDrive. The I work '09 window pops up with two icons: one Tim install and one that says "Read before you install iWork." I double-click on the "Install iWork '09" icon, and a window appears that says, "This package will run a program to determine if the software can be installed." I click "continue" and see "Welcome to the iWork '09 installer." I click on "Continue." The "read me" bullet on the left lights up, and I see "Read before you install. . . ." I click "Continue," then see the software license agreement. When I click on "Continue" again, I am asked to agree, and I do. The window then says, "Standard Install on 'Mackintosh HD" and indicates how much space the program will take.
I click "Install," enter my password, and the installation begins. It goes through a validating phase and begins "writing files." It indicates that installation will take about 30 minutes (although that number fluctuates). After about four minutes it goes to "cleaning up." Then after just a few seconds, the "Summary" bullet on the left lights up and this message appears: "There were errors with the installation. You may want to try installing again." There is a large yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it, and a bold "The installation failed." Below that appears "The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."
At that point, a "Close" button is pulsating blue at the bottom of the window.

Problem with call connect license

Hi to all,
recently we purchased some call connect cisco software licenses. We first install those licenses without any problems. Weeks ago the customer bought some new nokia phone and we had to free old licenses to enter them in the new phones.
We entered it 7 licenses with no problems. the probme is with the eight one. Seems to be occupied so i cannot register the software. We have problem with just one license key.
I need to contact with somebody that can help me fron the nokia support team.
I got a copy of this license right here, so the only thing i jus need is to free this key.

This software is my personal software, so my main machine is my home machine, I use the software at work as a convenience to myself since the most my company has ever bought is Acrobat Professional, even though I find myself tasked with website work, graphics etc.
I purchase all of my software and it is never used by anyone other than myself so that's not a concern - again my complaint was based on a wish to be able to manage my licenses from my Adobe account.
I don't quite understand how a feature like this would be a problem from "some countries" especially when my Adobe account already has "identifying" information about my previous registrations and contact info? Not to mention the majority of the world is internet connected?
You're saying it's easier to call Adobe 7:30pm (from "some country") on a Sunday nite (when a client is scheduled to come and review some work - which most likely means that there WON'T be any answer to the call to Adobe when you need it the most) compared to just accessing my Adobe account over the internet and turning off a license?
I don't understand that one?...
Yes, I plan on calling Adobe as I quoted since this seems to be the only answer to exactly WHY I was here searching last nite.
Again I appreciate your reply and I do HOPE that Adobe would take my suggestion into consideration.
Anytime a legit customer is prevented from using his own software is not a good look and obviously it creates not only problems such as I outlined but fosters ill will towards legitimate software licensing in general.

I get the error "The formula contains an invalid reference", even using the simple example in the help file. I have typed and used function browser. Odd thing is when I used INDIRECT and enclosed an ADDRESS function, referring to the same cell it worked fine.
Doing a search of the discussions, I noted a passing reference to someone having a problem with INDIRECT and mentioning that the simplest example didn't work.
The simple example was cell A1 contains 99, Cell A20 contains =INDIRECT(A1) should return 99.

Read more carefully the help.

Dear Mohamed,
This issue probably occurs due to the application error described in the SAP Note [1456922|https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1odSZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=1456922].
When login B1 with incorrect upper/lower cases for the user name (eg. The user name is registered "manager" but login as "Manager"), the user can login successfully but fails to open a certain form window the user has permission.
This issue is planned to be fix in a Patch of 8.8.
As workaround, until the issue will be fixed, the users should use exactly the same user name as itu2019s represented in the OUSR table, with case sensitive user code.

but the licenses I have is of 1.1.As per my overview from Cisco prime Infrastructure 1.2 NCS and NCS(WAN)
has been bundled into one service.But both were seperate entities in Cisco Prime Infrastructure 1.1.

It doesn't matter if you want to make a new installation or an upgrade. The questions is the license.
The base license is necessary for network management nodes (devices). But to get updates for your system you need the additional to your Base License the Lifecycle License (which can be ordered for 12, 24 or 36 months).
The Lifycycle License is also based on the number of managed devices. In your case 50 devices. So you have that License - congratulations!
Otherwise order the Lifecycle License for 50 devices (L-N-PI12-50-M). This generates CON-PSUU-PI12LF50 for 12 months, list price 414,81$. Then Upgrade from 1.1 to 1.2, patch the system and upgrade to 1.3.

Access to graphical components in AddOn Forms with Indirect Access Licence

Hi,
we have been developing an add on whose forms contain SAP Business One graphical components such as Calendar, Choose from list, calculator..
Our users who have indirect access licence havent' access to the graphical components Calendar and Calculator whereas they have access to choose from list.
SAP communicated in the fact that Indirect Access Licence doesn't allow user to have access to SAP Business One forms but nothing is mentioned about the graphical components used in Add On forms.
Moreover the difference of behaviour between Calendar and choose from list is not logic.
Do you know if SAP intends to fix this problem and allow users with Indirect Access Licence to have access to graphical components in Add On forms ?

Each CC allows you to activate it two times, it can be on the same computer or different.
So you can install &a activate it on two computers but as End user license agreement you can not work on them simultaneously.

Or wait a few weeks and get LR6, maybe? We’re up to LR 5.7 and there’s never been a LR somethingxzxz.8 so it would make sense that the next version is a payfor upgrade, again, with some sort of improvements and new features over LR 5. This suggestion assumes LR6 will be available as a perpetual license as an upgrade to LR 4, which I would expect, but you never know.
