Messages not sending and videochats ending because no data recieved

Recently lots of my video chats have frozen and ended because of a "no data received for 10 seconds" error message. I have to quit and sign back on, then i get a message that i am signed on in 2 locations. also, when text chatting, i get errors that my messages were not sent. I have to go through the same process. if i am not actively using ichat, it will periodically say that it has lost the connection to aim of .mac
anyone know if there is something i can do?

Hi,
Go to iChat menu > Preferences > Accounts
In Accounts Info tab Deselect use this account to Log out
In Server Settings tab change the Port to 443
In an AIM login account (Apple and AIM IDs) the SSL option has to be Selected and after changing the Port you hace to hit Enter/Return to "set" the Port.
Log back in again.
Also keep the item that read Allow Multiple Logins deselected.
IS there any chance you are logged in twice ?
AIM web Pages ? AIM Express ? Another computer ? Phone ?
Error 20 (No Data for 10 Secs) means you were connected (even if you heard or saw nothing) and something other than iChat cut the connection.
What Error does the other end get ?
It can be caused by features in the modem or router.
Look in the set up pages for DoS (Denial of Service) or SPI (Stateful Packet Inspection) and turn them Off. They can be in different places on different devices.

    their Exchange databases aren't replicating.  While looking into this issue it seems that the problem is the Network Manager isn't started because the cluster service is failing.  Since the issue seems to be with the cluster service, and not Exchange,

    It seems that the problem is with the 169.254 address on the cluster virtual adapter.  An entry in the cluster.log file says: Aborting connection because NetFT route to node nodename on virtual IP 169.254.1.44:~3343~ has failed to come up. 
    In my experience, you never have to mess with the cluster virtual adapter.  I'm not sure what happened here, but I doubt it has been modified.  I need the cluster to communicate with its other nodes on our routed 10. network.  I've never experienced
    this before and found little in my searches on the subject.  Any idea how I can fix this?

    Hi,
    I suspected an issue with communication on UDP port 3343. Please confirm the set rules for port 3343 on all the nodes in firewall and enabled all connections for all the profiles
    in firewall on all the nodes are opened, or confirm the connectivity of all the node.
    Use ipconfig /flushdns to update all the node DNS register, then confirm the DNS in your DNS server entry is correct.

    My iphone 4 will not send and receive text messages at random times.  My brother has the same phone, lives in the same home and doesn't have this problem.  I can't receive messages without my iphone displaying a message asking for my phone number at random times.     I've been an AT&T customer since they were under different names in the 90s and have never heard/seen that. I would check with them. I'd really like to see that error. To get a screenshot on the phone, press the home button and sleep/wake button together quickly and release. You will see the screen flash slightly and hear the camera shutter noise.

    . You do not need a seperate Apple ID. One one device you just need to go to Settings>Messages and add another/different Messaging email address and delete the common Apple ID address. Also see:

    So the engineer came and, of course, everything was working ok. He did fit some kind of RF filter on my main socket, and 'changed the pair' on one of the outside cables. Since then, I've only had a noisy line once, and seem to have been connected for 3 days solid, which is a record!
    I've switched back to my BT Home hub 3, which guavas me more stats. The line has previously given me up to 6mb/s, now only getting 1.6.
    Do you think, now the line seems more stable, with the stats below I should be able to maintain a higher speed now?

    This happens when you both use the same Apple ID for iMessage.  You can continue to share the same ID for pruchasing from the iTunes & App stores, but you should be using a different ID for iMessage.  To fix this you have two choices:
    On one of the phones go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a different ID (so you are both using a different ID for iMessage); or
    On both phones go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and uncheck the email address(es) shown under "You can be reached by iMessage at".  Also uncheck anyone else's phone number, if present.

  • Kin one not sending and receiving some of my text messages?

    I've had my kin one for several months now (mine is used as a feature phone, no data package). I was having no problems up until now.
    in the past week or so, I've noticed that I'm not getting some of my text messages. also, some people are not receiving some messages I send.
    plus, when I send a message, normally it pops up right away in the thread, so I can read what I just sent. lately, it's not doing that anymore. if I want to read what I just sent, I have to back out to the main menu, and then go back to that contact's message thread to read it.
    is anyone else having these issues?  I wonder if they're going to get worse.....

    A few weeks ago i bought some skype credit to text my girlfriend in Peru, from the UK (england). For the first week or so it worked fine, she would recieve the message very quickly, and the price was very reasonable. No problems.
    But, suddenly it changed: i will send a message to the same number, which is correct, and the message will attempt to send, but it will fail, with the advice to check number coming up. I am at a loss; the number is correct, we used it for a week with no problems, she is recieveing texts from people (granted, in Peru) ok, and i can call her using my home phone. What is going on?
    Possibly a related problem is that my mobile cannot text her either using normal credit. Anyone got any ideas?

    I don't believe there is anything that we can do for this particular issue, customer is more looking for clarification to take back to Skype. But he is unable to receive Skype SMS messages, can receive standard SMS without any issue.
    Skype has claimed that they are receiving the delivery confirmation message that the message has been received but nothing is being received to the mobile. I have confirmed with customer that other people that have been sent a Skype SMS are unable to receive the messages also, so is likely an issue with the Skype service.
    Would you have any further feedback?
    Example SMS - Sent via Skype on Monday 6pm.

  • My apps keep closing, i have no storage, messages wont send and i cant recieve them

    I have had my iphone 5 for not long now and i bought it as soon as it came out. For all of those months up until now i have been having no problems with it. Suddenly i have no storage. Multiple times have i deleted apps and or unneeded pictures, and it has worked for a while but not long enough. I am currentley on the 10 GB plan and every since i have bought it there has been no help added to my phone. I had literally a couple hours of storage than went straight back to having none. I have deleted every single app and picture in my phone and i still cannot take pictures,videos, or buy apps and music. I have tried askig multiple people if they are having the same problem. A majority of them did but had no solution. My friend just bought her iphone 5 a week ago and now has NO STORAGE. What is going on ! I even tried deleting my icloud, attempted to back it up which it did not because it claims theres "no storage". I even tried looking it up and got no answer and im sorry but theres no way i am paying anymore on this phone considering it made a dent in my bank just to buy it, insurance on it, and cases to protect the screen from cracking. Now my next problem is that my phone keeps glitching up. Now i usually just turn my phone off then on and it goes right back to normal but its getting out of control. I cannot open ANYTHING on it. Safari continuously is closing whenever i try to search or even open it. The only true app i have, which is instagram always is closing and spazzing when i want to look on it. Yes, my phone and that app is updated completley. And let me just say this problem has been happening before and after the update. Now when i try to send any type of message, imessage,text message, picture message it will not send. And it ends up deleting itself. I have been missing important texts and pictures from family,friends, and business partners. And when it says i have a message nothing shows. And after i click it it keeps popping up saying theres a message. Lemme tell you something, there was no message whatsoever. I have tried restoring my phone multiple times, turning imessage on and off, and even looking up solutions to this problem. I am very VERY disappointed because apple and their wonderful iphone creations always have inspressed me and now im just torn. Somebody PLEASE HELP ME !!!!

    There must be something wrong with your SIM card. Is the SIM card activated? Did it ask you for your PIN code at startup? Can you use the general or silent profile?

  • Messages not sending in Outlook

    Hi I hope someone can help, I have a talk21.com account that I use via Outlook 2010. I now cannot send messages from this account and is returning error 421 too many messages. I have tried to set up a new account but that does exactly the same.
    Does anyone know what I need to do?
    To make things worse I also have a .btopenworld account that is doing the same and giving the same error code, add to that I have forgotten the password but when I try to request a new it takes me to a page that is not for resetting passwords. grrr
    I know this problem is all about the BT migration and I have read other posts where this has finally been resolved so I would really appreciate a response as it now means I 2 accounts neither of which can send.

    For the past two days, I have started to have problems sending emails using Outlook.
    It works perfectly well from home, when connected to my BT Router.
    If I am connected via any other route, it fails with the message 421 Too many messages 99% of the time.
    It would appear, therefore, that this is a problem with BT SMTP Server authentication, since your home connection does not require it/use it but any other incoming route to the BT servers will.
    I spent 2 hours on Chat support with BT yesterday without any success. Eventually, I was told to upgrade my Outlook to the latest version........ or remove and re-install it.......
    Even though I know perfectly well that this is not the problem, I did actually upgrade to Outlook 2013 from 2010. of course, it made no difference.
    When I contacted BT Chat again today, I was told that BT do not provide support for email clients (including Outlook) and that I should take my PC to a local PC technician for support.........
    Having worked in I.T. all my life, that is not necessary, as I pointed out. BT then told me that I could not escalate the matter and nor could they provide me with any support for the issue, despite it being pretty clear that the problem lies at their end, because I was not using Web Mail.......
    What kind of service is that I ask myself?
    As this forum/thread appears to be being listened to by BT, I am writing this post in the hope that I don't simply need to change ISP in order to get support for this or to resolve my issue.
