Messy code in printout of smartforms

Hi Gurus,
I encountered a problem when printing Thai characters using smartforms. it can be displayed OK on preview. but when I printed it out in the physical printer, all of the Thai characters are displayed as messy code like 'Å¶µÄ½¨·¿¼ä°'. but English characters are displayed well.what should the prob be?

Check the character set attached with the device type of ur printer from SPAD. Check whether ur code page supports Thai characters or not. If it is ok then I think it is a problem within actual printer (may be the code page actually installed in it does not support Thai language)..better u can consult ur basis team.

I use xml publisher to generate a pdf report in OAF,but have messy code when open pdf report in my local machine.
I try to change the pdf to html format,and the report display ok in local machine.
It's also ok when i run in server.
So i think may be my project'Character Encoding in Jdeveloper tool is wrong,
i try to set the character encoding 'UTF-8/UTF8/GBK/GB2312',
but still have messy code.

Messy code problem while translating XString to String in OfficeControl

Hi Expert,
I have messy code problem while translating XString to String in XML-Format Word Doc in OfficeControl.
I upload an XML-Format template Word Doc to server as a MIME Object.
When OfficeControl is started in Web Dynpro, OfficeControl automatically open the XML-Format template.
For the first time, I get the XString-type Context attribute bind to the content of the Word Doc,
then translate it to string, I got the XML-format content, it's great!
However, after the first time, when I input any new contents in MS Word in Web Dynpro,
no matter I execute "Ctrl + S" or click the "savedocument" button,
when I translate the XString Context attribute to String, I got messy code. (but the first time, it is good plain text)
I use the function module: ECATT_CONV_XSTRING_TO_STRING (good for first time, dump after first time),
SCMS_XSTRING_TO_BINARY, SCMS_BINARY_TO_STRING (good for first time, messy code after first time).

Messy code for Chinese

Hi all, I want to upload vendor master data to SAP system in LSMW, but when I fill the fields in Chinese, the Chinese texts will not be showed. The Chinese texts show as messy codes, how should I do if I want to show the Chinese? Many thanks in advance!

ANSI only supports the standard 256 characters you see on your typical keyboard (single byte). UTF-8 supports the 65,536 Unicode character set (double byte) needed to handle all the different languages used throughout the world. If you send Unicode but tell the system to expect ANSI it will read each double byte Unicode character as two single byte ANSI characters. Which will turn it all into gibberish.

I'll blog in SDN about my research that I presented at TechEd during session CD119 (blog) but I'll begin sharing with you some ideas.
Basically, without relay on any printer specific driver I would propose to follow the following steps:
1.Generate the QR Code image file (.PNG) with one of the methods presented in the following pages
2.Upload the image into the SAP system
2.1 Convert the generated file (file.png) to TIFF using SAP IGS class CL_IGS_IMAGE_CONVERTER (see GRAPHICS_IGS_IMGCONV_DEMO)
2.2.Upload. Use report RSTXLDMC to upload the image into SE78
3.Include the image into the Form:
3.1.SAPScript/:INCLUDE ZHEX-MARCO-name OBJECT TEXT ID ST
If everything is clear, the missing point should now be the first one. To generate the PNG from ABAP I found some options if you like, the better I think is presented in my open source project called abap2qrcode published here http://code.google.com/p/abap2qrcode/.
I know it's not trivial and I'm curious to know what do you think about it.

Step by step:
1. On your main vi Front Panel, create your boolean indicator.
2. On the block diagram, right click the new boolean indicator and select Create - Reference.
3. On sub-vi front panel, create boolean indicator (or use one that is already created).
4. On sub-vi front panel, create a reference (Controls Palette - Refnum - Control Refnum).
5. Right click on the newly created Refnum and select Select Vi Server Class - Generic - GObject - Control - Boolean. The refnum label changes to BoolRefnum.
6. On sub-vi block diagram, create Property Node (Functions - Application Control - Property Node). Find the BoolRefnum and move it close to the new Property Node.
7. Wire the BoolRefnum to the reference input of the property node.
8.
Right click on the property node and select Change to All Write.
9. Move mouse to point to Visible inside property node box, left click and select Value.
10. Wire the boolean indicator from step 3 to the Value input of the property node.
11. On sub-vi front panel, right click on icon and select Show Connector.
12. Click on empty connector spot then click on the new BoolRefnum. Save your sub-vi.
13. On main vi block diagram, connect refernece created in step 2 to the new connector terminal of sub-vi.
14. Save and run.

Mac Mail sending messy code attachments to windows

I've sync 6 different mail accounts to my Mac Mail, but what it troubles me is that when I send Chinese emails with attchemnt (in Chinese too) the reciever Widonow users keep getting messy code with somthing like (鍛@?鍗＄墖.docx).
I've been look every where on Google can't find any good solution. I know that changing my Text Encoding works but I can't set it to defualt
I know there's an updates that windows can download so that they read mac's uni code, but I can't find the download link.
If I switch to Office Outlook would I still get this problem? or is there any better way that Apple can help me to solve this?

To thoughs just been searching, I just came across a app that actually solve this problem (well at least for Chinese attachment).
It's a new app develop by tencent called foxmail (http://foxmail.com.cn) it works fine for me.
you guys can go check it out. But this app's interface isn't as good as mac mail, but at least my colleagues stopped complaining at the mess code problem.

Code inspector error in smartform

When iam running code inspector for smartform . this is the error that iam getting ==> The type of the VALUE parameters "JOB_OUTPUT_INFO" contains one or more tables whose row types in turn contain internal tables and also says that ==> The TADIR entry for /1BCDWB/SAPLSF00000185 is missing .

Error: Message 023 :Entry in TADIR table for smartform FM is missing.
But when checked in TADIR table there is entry for smartform, Message class present.

Which ZPL2 code is generated by smartforms.

Hi experts,
SAP has made some arrangements in smartforms to make it possible to create a regular Smartform which will printed normal on an normal printer. However if this same smartforms sends output to a zebraprinter the output is converted to ZPL2 code which the zebra printer needs to work.
Does anyone know how to check which ZPL2 code is sent to the printer.

In general you can capture the print data being sent to the printer from SAP using Method 2 of SAP Note:
   5799 - How can you view prepared print data?
First you need to increase the trace level for the output device used to print:
SPAD -> <Output Device> -> Edit -> Test tool
        Data: Logging the first 100K
         x    Level 2 trace
         x    Function Trace
Then a log will always be produced in sp01 for the spool:
   SP01 -> Spool Request Number -> Output requests -> Double click on Log -> All information
Here you can view the print data being sent to the printer.
To print from a Smartform to a Zebra printer, you must use a device type like LZEB2 as pre the SAP Notes:

Code inspection error in smartform

Help appreciated.
I have created smartform which is executing perfectly. When code inspection is done it is giving following errors and warnings :
Errors:
1. Message code 023 The TADIR entry for /1BCDWB/SAPLSF00000043 is missing
(Already the smartform is assigned to a package still giving error no.1)
2. Message code Deep_tab
Warnings:
3. Message code Len
The parameter "JOB_OUTPUT_OPTIONS" is transferred as value. Use refderence transfer
4. Message code Len_innowr
5. Message code tab_innowr
I am not able to understand how to resolve them. Kindly help me with the same.
