Metadata Repository tables

Hi,
Does anyone know the Metadata Repository tables' names?
I need to do an inventory with queries, InfoCubes, Ods, etc in our BW Server.
Thanks in advance,
Leo.

Hello,
You can check these tables:
RSDCUBE - For InfoCubes
RSDODSO - For ODS
RSZELTDIR - For queries

  • Data Services repository tables and views: ALVW_MAPPING is empty

    Hello.
I need to read via SQL (from inside a DataServices job) the name of target table used in the dataflow of a job.
My problem is that the metadata repository view ALVW_MAPPING is empty, as the tables underneath AL_COLMAP and AL_COLMAP_TEXT are empty. Some other tables, for instance AL_INDEX and AL_COLUMN, are not empty.
Can anyone help me with a solution or an explanation to this? Thank you in advance.

AL_INDEX and AL_COLMAP store metadata of tables that you import in Datastore
AL_COLMAP and AL_COLMAP_TEXT table store column mapping information that use in Dataflow, this data is usually populated when you save Dataflow, check if the "automatically calculate column mapping" option is checked in the Tools-> Options window in Designer
if you are not seeing any data in these 2 tables, then go to Designer, select Datastore tab in object library right in the Datastore workspace select Repository menu option and select Calculate Usage Dependency once that completes do select Calculate Column Mapping from the same menu, once that completes check if you see data in these 2 tables

  • Wrong information in Metadata Repository

    Hey Guru's,
I searched for objects in the BI Metadata Repository and found an error.
I looked für a query and the corresponding workbook. But I found another workbook that doesn't exist anymore.
As a goal, I'd like to have a screenshot for project documentation. There I can see the data flow from query to workbook an the roles, they are in.
Actually I see on the one hand the data flow from existing query to not existing workbook and on the other hand the right workbook and it's roles.
So there must be an error in tables of metadata repository.
    Can anyone help me.
    Thanks.
    Best regards Nico

  • 10g - where are private connections stored in metadata repository

We use OAS 10.1.2.3 infrastructure and BI middle tier on Windows. SSO is enabled, and users are authenticated against OID. Users are allow to create private connections on their own. I would like to know: how can I query the private connections in OAS metadata repository? I would like to know the connection names and who created them.
    Thanks a lot.
    Hailie

    Hi Hallie
Details about connections are held in this table: wwsso_psex_user_info$
That table can be found in the infrastructure database owned by this user: orasso
The column app_id has the following signifiance:
    If app_id= '1325' then it's a private connection
    If app_id= '1326' then it's a public connection
    Best wishes

  • Where is the Metadata Repository Stored?

    Hi Experts,
I'm sure many of you are familiar with the very useful Metadata Repository in SAP accessible through the workbench. What I've been trying to figure out, however, is where the data used to populate that repository can be found. There must be a method through which the repository is populated for any given object, and it stands to reason that the data is captured in some repository tables.
I need to find those tables so that I can extract some metadata information from them. Specifically, I need to transformation InfoObject Source and InfoObject Target.
Hopefully someone knows SAP well enough to help out!
    Thanks in advance!

  • Metadata repository - how find ?

Sorry for my broken english :)
I must describe metadata OWB Repository.
But the problem is that i cant find any boks about that.
I run Enterprise Manager Console, i See many tables, but don;t know
which are for metadata repository use. Maybe someone can gaive some help ?
Maybe it is possible to extract metadata repository only ?
    Thanks.

OWB repository tables is not documented publicly by Oracle.
The only method for extraction information about OWB projects structure and execution results is selecting data from OWB public views.
OWB repository public views are located under OWB repository database schema (DB user). For OWB11g this user is OWBSYS, for earlier OWB releases this DB user specified during creation of OWB repository.
If you use OWB11g please read this thread:

  • Hyperion Analyzer Repository Tables

I am creating a cross-reference report that shows me the access privileges assigned to each report in Hyperion Analyzer. I found that the information resides in the HsDsAttributes and HsDsACL SQL Server repository tables but I have no metadata for these tables. Does anyone know what the values in the columns for these tables are defined as? Specifically the class, type, and intval columns in the HsDsAttributes table.
    Thanks.

    Hi John,
Thanks for sharing the pdf related to the HSP tables.
When a FORM is submitted in planning application and the Final submission status= "Pick Yes/No" should be stored in the HSP table. As per the pdf which you have provided for the planning tables- Looks like the HYP_PLANAPP3.HSP_JOB_STATUS and HYP_PLANAPP3.HSP_AUDIT_RECORDS should have this information.
example if the Form is saved for final submission status = Yes, this value should be stored some where in the HSP table, and my guess is under HYP_PLANAPP3.HSP_JOB_STATUS and column RUN_STATUS with values like 0 or 1. Please correct me If I am wrong.
Sorry I might not be using the correct Hyperion terms.
    Thanks,
    Sikandar

  • Can't read repository tables

I'm a bit confused about OWB 11.1 structure. I have OWBSYS which is repository owner, OWBREP which is a target user and workspace owner, OWB which is a workspace. I refer to the workspace like that: OWBREP.OWB.
Where can I find the repository tables??? The tables I want exist in OWBSYS, but the select * returns nothing. It seems the table is empty. I searched in other database users, but I couldn't find that.
I can see the audit details perfectly in repository browser, but I can't do a customized query in the metadata repository.
Is there any reason I can't access the repository tables? Is there any other place I have to search?
    Thanks.

    Hi
In 11gR1 you have to set the workspace by calling
    exec wb_workspace_management.set_workspace(<wksp_name>, <wksp_owner>)
In 11gR2 there is a workspace default.
You can then query for example SELECT * from OWBSYS.ALL_IV_PROJECTS
    Cheers

  • How to login to Metadata Repository

    Hi All,
I run the select statement (app_registry table) to find my database server has Metadata Repository in it.
    Select * from app_registry where comp_id = 'MRC'
Database Server - Oracle 10g hosted on Unix Server.
How do I login to my Metadata Repository and what are all the important parameters like memory values and where are they located?
    Regards,
    Balaji A

You can login to metadata repository, this is only a gropu of Schemas (or users) that have some items or objects that make some tasks, and finally all the info generated is stored in this database.
You may have the structure of the repository, but if you dont have a user such as oc4jadmin, sysadmin, orcladmin, orabpel, or so on, that creates all the objects using a MRCA or IRCA you wont have a fully workin repository .
    Regards.

  • Expose Metadata Repository for Public Access

    All,
Does anyone have experience exposing the active metadata repository for documentation purposes?  I am familiar with how the repository works within the BI workbench, searching, navigating, etc, but what I would like to do is to expose the repository structure to the user community so they can find more information about their objects.
An example would be to allow users to browse the metadata repository to discover what the definition of a certain key figure is, such as what is the definition of headcount, or purchase price variance?  Ideally they could find what other key figures are used in a calculation, or in a formula.
The metadata repository appears to be a series of generated htm pages, but this information has to be stored somewhere in the database.  Does anyone know where? If we can access the tables, then we can build reporting objects off of them and thus expose in BEx.  Alternatively, if we can expose the metadata repository itself, could we then publish it in Enterprise Portal??
Any suggestions, advice, or help would be appreciated.
I will award points for useful suggestions.
    Thanks in advance
    Christopher

    Hi Michael,
maybe you have to check if you are running IE 7.0. That can be the problem (it was with me).
So try to uninstall IE 7.0 and try it again.

  • How can I create a universe with the BO repository tables?

Hi. I need make a universe with the BO repository tables, in order to get user information .
But, when I try to insert tables in designer, using a new conecction to BO repository. I can't see tables.
    Someone can help me?

The CMS repository is organized into both physical and virtual tables. Only the CMS can access the virtual tables, therefore you cannot create a universe on the CMS repository. You can access the CMS repository information through the Enterprise SDK.

    Good question, rozester.
I encountered this problem also, while trying to install the SSO MRCA 10.1.4.3.1 on 64-bit RHEL5 (though it's at version 5.7 but I'm positive that won't make any difference to the result).
This may or may not match your situation, but when I looked in the log file $ORACLE_HOME/assistants/repca/log/repca_<datestamp>.log, I saw what was probably the reason behind the error:
<$ORACLE_HOME>/bin/sqlplus: error while loading shared libraries: libclntsh.so.9.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I think I remember seeing that the link operation during installation had failed, but I hoped it would be OK. And it possibly would have been, if I'd remembered to specify the destination database Oracle home rather than the SSO MRCA Oracle home when prompted (on the page where it asks for database home and log file path). Perhaps then it would have used the sqlplus binary from the database oracle home, and since that one definitely works, it might have worked. But before I thought of that, I did a workaround; I installed the SSO MRCA on a 32-bit RHEL5 box (using the same directory paths) and copied the shared library files to the 64-bit box's shared library directory via scp as follows:
    cd $ORACLE_HOME/lib; scp -pr * oracle@rhel64box:$PWD/
When I re-ran $ORACLE_HOME/runRepca, it then worked without error. Another thing I could have tried is just running runRepca on the 32-bit RHEL5 box, and that probably would have worked too, but it probably would have been a lot slower compared to running it locally on the destination server; it's takes quite a while as it is.
Hope this helps. I'm sure it'll help me if next time I do this I forget what I did before and go searching again ;-)

  • Metadata Repository Creation Assistant fails with ORA-01119

    <!--[if gte mso 9]><xml>

    Hi All,
My DB version is 10.1.0.2 and I've upgraded the same to
    10.1.0.4.2
In order to install B2B, I started off by installing the
    Metadata Repository Creation Assistant.
After the initial steps, I got the following message:
    <h5>
OracleAS RepCA was not able to find the Oracle Text Supplied
Knowledge Base in the database specified. </h5>
<h5>If you are planning to use this repository for installing
OracleAS Portal, you have to install Oracle Text Supplied Knowledge Base.
Oracle Text Supplied Knowledge Base can be installed in the database using
    Oracle Database 10g Companion CD.</h5>
    <h5>
If you are not planning to use this repository for
installing OracleAS Portal, you may continue further. Continue? Yes/No?</h5>
I continued with "Yes" and I chose the storage option as
"Regular or Cluster File system". In the next step -<strong>Specify Tablespace
information</strong>, I chose to install it in the C:\ , where there was approx 18GB
of free space. Yet, I encountered the following error:
    <h5>
Unable to create tablespace. Please see the OracleAS RepCA
    log file for more details.</h5>
<h5>ORA-01119 error in creating database file 'string'</h5>
<h5>Cause: Insufficient space on device or invalid database file
    path.</h5>
    <h5>Action:</h5>
<h5>a) Verify the database file path specified.</h5>
<h5>b) Decrease the size of the requested file or allocate a
file on another device with more available space. If a file size was not
specified in the statement, then specify a file size smaller than the available
space on the device.</h5>I have verified the database file path. I also tried
decreasing the size. I further tried using another directory where there was
11GB of free space. It still didn't work.
    Please HELP!
    -Suhas.

    Hi Suhas,
Can you please do the following?
    1.     Please try pointing to C:\b2b.dbf file during installation and see if the installation goes fine or not.
    Regards
    Vipin R.S
