Metrics in Tabular Format

Hi,
I have seen that the out-of-the-box dashboards for showing metrics to the end user are in some kind of graphical format only.
How can we make them in tabular format?
I want columns to be shown instead of graphical format for instances per unit time, time taken per instance to complete, process time etc..

Hi Dan,
I am now using the Group BAM Object and the Data Group Basic Layout which is a table which can contain this group. I am no longer using the Graph or Bar Chart.
Now since I am using the Group , I have to reference the group data instead of asking the presentation to invoke a method.
With the Graph, there was an option to invoke the organizationalUnitPerformanceDataSourceWithTitleUpdate() .
But with using the Data Group Basic Layout instead of the Graph, there is no option to invoke the organizationalUnitPerformanceDataSourceWithTitleUpdate() .
The only option remains is the reference the Group data which I did.
Since no method such as organizationalUnitPerformanceDataSourceWithTitleUpdate() is invoked, the data is no longer populated.
How do I now get organizationalUnitPerformanceDataSourceWithTitleUpdate() method to be invoked while using Groups and Data Group Basic Layout instead of the Graph or Bar Chart?
Any idea?

  • Drill Down in Tabular Format Metrics

I know how to drill down inside of a Pie Chart for Metrics using the drillDown() method and passing the arguments.
But how do I do this, when my Metrics are in Tabular format displayed as a Group on the dashboard to the end user..
So when the end-user clicks on one of the rows lets say employee ID, it should pop up another tabular format Group presentation show the address, department etc.. of that employee?
    How do I do that?
I don't have any On-Click Method where I can specify the drillDown() method for my tabular Format Group Metrics?

The "on change invoke" property's method is able to automatically detect the row in your group that was clicked because your method is inside your group and not in the parent BPM Object. If you're on 10g, make sure you've upgraded to a recent hotfix for 10g, there is a bug that prevents this from working on earlier cuts of the software.
Inside your group, add a new method called "showMeTheNameIChanged()". Add logic similar to this:
// you do not need this unless you want to determine the row # that was clicked
//   - this assumes that your group's name is "orderLines"
    lineSelected = orderLines.indexOf(this)
// this will display the value of the attribute "customerName" in the row changed
display "You changed the name on the row ["
+ lineSelected + "] (zero based) and changed the name to ["
+ customerName + "]"Because the method is associated with the group and not the parent BPM Object, it automatically knows that you want the attributes for the row that was clicked. Again, although you can retrieve the row number ("lineSelected" in the above logic) you do not need to do this to retrieve the values of the attributes in the row changed ("customerName" in the above example).

  • Getting 2D array of data in tabular format using web services

    Hi all,
I was trying to fetch data from MS access database and populate the same 2D array of data on my web browser. But unfortunately it says that the 2D array is not a "supported data type" for web applications and hence the 'build fails'.
I would like to know if there is any method to represent my 2D data in a tabular format in my web broweser using the webservices. Needless to say, it can give such a good readiability!!!

  • Can We Display a Tabular Format in the Decision Report?

    Hello,
One of my current OPA integrations is replacing an Excel-based application that calculates entity values across rows and columns. In the OPA version, the rows are separated into screens, and the columns - the results - are displayed in a decision report that shows a single value per line, and is not vertically aligned. This makes the results much more difficult to view "at a glance" compared to the legacy solution. I'm wondering if there's any way to incorporate tabular formatting (mainly vertical alignment) within the decision report - does anyone know?
    Thanks!
    - Patrick

With version 10.3 and the BI publisher integration you can design virtually any format for the decisions you wish. When using BI publisher, a completely customized decision report is quite easy. See the OPM help topic "BI Publisher code for Oracle Policy Modeling" and/or the example that ships with 10.3 for more info. If using the web service to make determinations, you could also post process the XML for the decision report (i.e. using XSLT or code) to produce a table in XML or HTML. Customizing the "default" decision report into a tabular view would probably prove more difficult than the other options.

    Now answering newmacguru...
    1. Why I want text to appear as an image?
Sometimes the graphical result is important. Most of the times, if you use a white or bright page background, what you see in iWeb is almost the same you see when browsing the page. No problem! But if the page background is black or dark, what you see when browsing the page can be different from what you see when developing the page with iWeb. And these differences can be important... Now if you tell iWeb to convert text to images, the result will be exactly the same you see in iWeb (the result you want).
Let me show you an example. This page was published with iWeb 1.0.1. In this case all text boxes were converted to images and the result you see is exactly what I want. Normally I choose opacity of 80% in the text color to reduce the contrast between text and background (this is the graphical result I most like):
    http://clientes.netvisao.pt/3ebt2006/iweb/TesteTexto101/
Now if you publish the page with iWeb 1.1.1/1.1.2 the result is the same for both, but different from the pages obtained with iWeb 1.0.1. I only get the result I want if the text is converted to an image (using shadow). You can also see that with a white background you get good results even if the text remains text:
    http://clientes.netvisao.pt/3ebt2006/iweb/TesteTexto111/
    http://clientes.netvisao.pt/3ebt2006/iweb/TesteTexto112/
Thanks for the suggestion of the shadow. Sometimes using a non web safe font is not a solution, remember I want “that” graphical result...
    2. Now, considering the search engines, I think I read in this forum that the search engines can do is work, even if text is converted to images, because the text still remains in the page (sorry I don’t remember where).
    Sorry for my english...

  • Trial Balance in tabular format (Profit Centerwise column)

    Hi
We have 2 manufacturing plants and each plant is created as separate profit centers. Now we do consolidation of these two plants at head office. This head office is too created as a profit center.
Now my requirement is to get trial balance. I want trial balance in tabular format with 5 columns. These columns should be:
Column 1: GL No. / Description
Column 2: Amount (Profit Center 1)
Column 3: Amount (Profit Center 2)
Column 4: Amount (Profit Center 3)
Column 5: Total (All profit centers)
Please let me know the TCode for getting trial balance in above format. I tried F.01. But its not giving me such report.

  • Sending  mail data in tabular format using UTL_SMTP.

I am using UTL_SMTP package for sending the mails after the job is running . Now there is requirement to send the same mail in Tabular Format . Is it possible to do the same . I am sending the mails using the secure server of my company.

    sunnymoon wrote:
i need to send the mail using UTL_SMTP in which the mail body will be displayed in tabular format .You need to format a HTML Mime (Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions) body as the e-mail. And use the HTML table element to format data into a tabular format.
This has NOTHING to do with UTL_SMTP. SMTP is a transport protocol. It does not create Mime bodies for you. It does not do Mime formatting or parsing or whatever. It simply moves a payload from the client to the server for delivery as an e-mail.
So your code needs to create that payload. You need to format a proper Mime body in your code. Not UTL_SMTP. Not PL/SQL.

  • Graphic format vs. tabular format

    Hi Guys,
In SC we have an option to display the approval preview document either as graphic format or tabular format. Once we click on 'Approval Preview' automatically graphic format opens.
My client does not want graphic format as it takes time. 1> Is there a way by which I can default Tabular format.
2> Is there a way by which I can see the Tabular format on SC screen without haveing to click on 'Approval Preview'?
    Thanks

    hi,
You can modify the service "BBP_PREVIEW" acc to your requirements.

  • Switching from cross tab to tabular format

How can I change from crosstab to tabular format on an existing report?
    Please email to [email protected]
    Thanks very much.
    Cherie Machler

    Hi Cherie
As suggested by Mohamed you can duplicate a worksheet as a table from a crosstab, however to answer your particular question you cannot change a worksheet style. Once it has been set to either crosstab or table that's the way it must remain. The solution would be to replicate the worksheet as the other style.
    Best wishes

  • Data not coming in proper tabular format - BICS

    Hi friends,
I tried connecting Xcelsius with BW(BEX query) where I succeeded to connect both system and was able to see objects coming through BEX query into Xcelsius connection defination TAB. When I go to its output values, it contains "cross-tab Data". I clicked on it and map it in excel. My BEX query has only two things one is Material (Char) and other is Amount(Key Figure). So I mapped it with two colums of excel of Xelsius and finally mapped those two colums with Spreadsheet component of Xcelsius to view the things precisely as it is coming.
But the problem is when I see the output, though it is showing the data but the header of the spreadsheet is bit scattered. As in,
    it should display like:
    Material.....|...Amount..|
    Mat1..........| 5000........|
    Mat2..........| 2000........|
But it is showing something like
    Key Figures...|...Amount....|
    Material.........................|...........................
    Mat1..............................| 5000........|
    Mat2..............................| 2000........|
    Overall Result...............|..7000.......|
You can see the second table contains data which is really different from the format I am looking for. What could be the reason for this? Anybody can guide me..
    Thanks alot!!

Hi kgaurav2k1, if you don´t want to see the "Overall Result" you need to change the query definition to not show total (from Bex Query Designer). Regarding the header, I´ve never could change it, and decided to use the data from the 3rd row. It is the format for a cross-tab header.
    Hope I help.

    Liliana

    Hi,
Change the columns as rows and rows as columns in the pivot view properties. You can display all the columns as rows and data as columns.
If you want display the column data in sections place required columns in section .
    mark if helpful/correct..

  • BAM Report output in a tabular format and ability to print

We are using ALBPM V6 BAM reporting.
We know that the BAM provides a dashboard for the same in a graphical manner. But, for a tabular report we were not able to find any in built feature in ALBPM.
We want to know if it can be achieved using some inherent feature of ALBPM screenflow / presentation or do we need to use custom mechanism to display the report and get printing features etc.

I had a similar requirement and decided to run the report from forms. When a button is pressed, the report is run to create the pdf file, followed by separate command to invoke acrobat reader or internet explorer to display the file, rather than using reports previewer.
The file can be displayed from forms by a host command in client server, or by web.show_document on the web.

  • VIEW CUSTOMER ADDRESS DETAILS IN REPORT (TABULAR) FORMAT

When maintaining the Customer Master, General Details such as Customer Name, Search Term, Address, City, Postal Code, Country, Telephone No, Email etc are updated in the General Data screen that is stored in KNA1.
When I run report for KNA1 in SE16 - the system gives me Name, Search Term, Country, Telephone, City, Postal Code - nowhere it gives me a detailed report of address data stored in Steet 2, Street 3, Street 4
How do I get the entire Street Address details against Customer Code?
    Please advise.

    Hi
If you talking about SQVI query, just do a google search and you will find lot of help and guidelines to construct a query.
In SQVI query you should link KNA1-ADRNR with ADRC-ADDRNUMBER and you should select KNA1-KUNNR, KNA1-ADRNR, ADRC-STREET, ADRC-CITY1 etc as output fields. Then it should give you the correct output.
If you are talking about ABAP report, it should be similar to what is given below.
SELECT STREET1, CITY1, .........etc FROM ADRC WHERE
    ADRC-ADDRNUMBER = KNA1-ADRNR

  • .csv files exported not converting to Tabular format jdev patch 6908968

After jdeveloper patch 6908968 on 12.0.6, the data is copied into an Excel .csv file but the entire data is copied to the single cell/column.
Developed an OAF page which has the standard Oracle Export Functionality for one of our requirements. When exporting from the OAF page, it is creating a .csv file(as expected) , but the data is not copied to individual cells. The whole data is going to one cell rather than into individual columns.
According to Bug 4699555 you can use one of the following workarounds :-
    a. change "List separator" value from ";" to "," in the Regional Options,
    b. in Excel, after opening the .csv file, go to "Data" -> "Text to Columns ...",
choose "comma" as the delimiter in the wizard.
    c. instead of Opening the file, Save it with .txt extension open MS Excel and open the saved file and specify delimited + comma as the delimiter during the text import process.
The workarounds work, however this is not acceptable as there are 380,000 users. This worked as expected with 11.5.10 and not with upgraded R12. 12.0.6 with jdeveloper patch '6908968' for developing the OAF page with jdeveloper export button option.
Is there a setup step missing or that changed for R12 and the column delimiter?

You MAY want to think about a product that will read the output from your DVD player and convert to DV AVI
Matt with Grass Valley Canopus in their tech support department stated that the model
110 will suffice for most hobbyist. If a person has a lot of tapes that were played
often the tape stretches and the magnetic coding diminishes. If your goal is to encode
tapes in good shape buy the 110, if you will be encoding old tapes of poor quality buy
    the model 300
Both the 110 and 300 are two way devices so you may output back to tape... if you don't
need that, look at the model 55
