MfE Double Appointments

Hi There,
I have a Nokia E51-1, that I use MfE for synchronization with Outlook on my laptop.
My problem is that ever since I started doing this, all my appointments in the calender have been doubled both in Outlook and on the phone (Kinda like cloned).
Anyone have a solution for this?

Do you mean new ones are also doubled, or only the ones that were there before using MfE?
There is a setting in MfE for Keep or Delete on initial sync. If you said Keep and there were already items in the device calendar and Outlook, they will be doubled.
'Delete' setting wipes the phone calendar and then gets Calendar from server.
Or if you are using MfE and PC Suite or any other sync client with the same device to sync Calendar, this will result in duplicates.

  • MFE sync appointments from server as requests....H...

I'm using a N86 Nokia device which runs embedded MFE 2.1.0.
I'm syncing it to Microsoft exchange server 2010. When writing an appointment on the server and syncing it to the mobile device it appears on the phone as an appointment request instead of a regular appointment. Thus some of the features (such as auto discover of a phone number, mail or url) are unavailable.
    Has anyone encountered such problem?
Is there a fix to this bug???
    Someone pls HELP!!!

I have the same issue... any answers?

  • MFE - personal appointments on Calendar not synced

Why is it when I add personal appointments on my Outlook calendar on my PC, that these events don’t sync down to the phone ?
Only meetings where people schedule me and accepted sync to the phone.
Example : I add a personal appoitment to see the doctor at 15hoo tomorrow. I then sync my phone. This event does not appear in the calendar. I then ask my friend to send me an invite and this is synced fine to the phone. Any ideas ?

Well I figured it out. You can not get the distribution lists to sync from outlook. If you go over to the Google Side of the world and create a group and add people to the group you can then do a group email.
Once the group is created then either from the contact list or email you can select the group to email to and all email address will automatically populate in the send two field.
At least it works on the S5 with KitKat.

  • Device calendar gets double entries when synchronizing with Outlook on PC

Everything was fine for the first few months, but after synchronizing now, I find double appointments on my device.  One says 'Send using Desktop" and the other says "Received using [email protected]".  How do I configure things so this stops happening?

  • Wrong Agenda trashes

I have a strange case of mistaken identity.
And can't therefore load up to the cloud...
I have within Calender (Agenda it is called here) 12 subagenda's
One of them is behaving strange...
When I try to trash it (since it has all double appointments) ANOTHER Agenda trashes.
This is what I do: I highlight the agenda "OLD STUFF"
I hit Com delete and the computer asks "doe you want to delete the agenda "MASTERS"?
If I hit yes the MASTERS agenda dissapears...
    Cmd Z bring it back..
    But OLD STUFF WONT LEAVE!!!
And when i try to sync with iCloud.. It strangely multiplies itsel in the cloud!!!!
What in the Library do I have to trash to REALLY trash OLD STUFF????
    Thanks
    Marc

    Emtied the Calender
    Empied the Library of Calender
and Reinstalled one by one the agenda's into the Calender. (dropping them in)
Everything works now as it should....
    So question solved....

  • 1 hour time change

    Hi
    It has happenend again!
Here in the UK we put the clocks forward an hour this morning.
THe time on my iPhone changed OK. But all my appointments also moved forward an hour.
So my 10 am appointment on Monday has now been reset to 11am.
All appontments are 1 hour out.
Appointments in MS Outlook don't change.
I have not tried sysnching with Outlook in case I get double appointments.
How can I get all appointments' time on my iPhone back to where they should be?
Why can't a fix be implemented so this doesn't happen again? (It happenend last year when we put the clocks back).
    Thanks
    BD

Mine did exactly the same again.
The last time it happened I discovered the following.
    1) If you change outlook's time it put another entry in the iPhone's calendar.
    2) If you change the iPhones calendar appointment time it creates another entry in outlook!
    3) If you plug your iPhone in an sync without making any changes to either outlook or iPhone's calendar no duplicates/new entries are made.
To get things back in order, plus in your iPhone and under INFO tab in iTunes uncheck sync calendar. I will say do you want to remove all entries on the iPhone or keep them. Select delete. This will wipe all your entries on the iPhone only. Retick and click sync. It will then put all your outlook entries back in and they will be at the right time again.
I would export your OUtlook Calendar to a .pst file first just to be safe.

  • E71 MfE - new calendar appointments do not appear ...

If I add a new calendar appointment on the E71 mfe does update the calendar on my Exchange Server however the new appointment is not visible within Outlook.
I can tell it has updated to the exchange end as when I check my calendar from within the webmail interface of exchange I can see the appointment.
From Outlook using the day/week/month views the appointment is not visible. The only way I can see the appointment within Outlook is to click view > current view > all apointments, the appointment will appear within the list of appointments.
The only difference I can see with appointments created on the handset and the desktop is that handset created appointments do not appear to have an 'end date' listed in outlook (perhaps this is why I cant see them in other views?). I have entered an end date on the handset at the time of creating the appointment.
Is this a known bug or am I doing something wrong?

Anybody could help me? Thank you very much.

  • MfE All day appointments problem

    Hi,
Mail for Exchange seems insistent on converting all day appointments in Outlook to appointments lasting from 00:00 till 23:59 on my handset. Also it doesn't always sync the status (Free/Busy/Out of Office) properly.
Is this a known issue that is likely to be remedied?
    Cheers,
    Ian

No such issue when I am using MFE so far..
Your automatic update, was it switched to on? If yes, disable it and try again.
Also check on your clock's timezone to see if it's correct for your region.
Lastly, check with your IT guys to see if there's anything wrong with the server settings if all else fails..

  • TS1638 When syncing calendar on iPhone with Microsoft Office whole day appointments get moved to double day. I am aware this may be caused by conflicts in clock, viz daylight saving time. However, Outlook seems OK and takes time from Windows time and zone

When syncing my iPhone to Microsoft Outloook all the full day appointments become two day - 2300hrs to 2300hrs next day. Sometimes this will include a nuber of a single day of 23 hours. Looked at solutions and all point to a clock issue or a daylight saving and winter times. Outlook operating time is directly from the Windows clock that incudes the change of times for daylight saving etc. It is set for UTC Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisban, London with daylight saving included in the options. I can't see what I can do.

When I receive appointments by email and accept them they go into the enourage "on my mac" ical calendar which is not synced with mobileme.  How do I change where appointments are put ?
Or how can I choose where the appointment is put ?
I use the mobileme sync services so the ical calendars that are synced are those in the "[email protected]" group.
    Please help !
    Nick

Actually you can't drag the appointment to ano calendar - its says "You can’t make changes to this invitation., Only the organiser can change this event"
Also if you double click on the received appointment and open the window the only calendars shown that you can select are the 'on my mac" ones, and not the sync'd ones.
    Any ideas welcome !!

  • Double items in list-view calendar iOS 7

Since I first opened the calander-app in iOS 7, some, but not all items are shown twice in the list-view, but not in the other views. If I delete one of the doubles, both are gone. It seems to be completely random what items are shown twice. Is it a bug? It happens both with iCloud and Exchange items. Both single and repeating appointments. I can not see any logic in it. Please help, because it makes the list-view very cluttered now...
    Kind regards,
    Piet

Okay, I don't understand why, but the problem seems to be induced by the update process. Though the other views are unaffected, some (a lot) items in the list-view are being doubled. It seems to be random, but both my iOS devices are affected in exactly the same way, so there must be a mechanism that causes it.
But... If you turn off the calendars for the affected accounts (iCloud, Exchange), confirm that they are being removed from your device, and then turning them on again, they are being re-synchronized. This creates new entries in the calendar that in the list-view are not doubled anymore.
Be careful! Do not delete the items manually, since this will delete the item on all synchronized devices. Just turn the calendars off in the account settings and choose not to keep them on your device but remove them from your device instead.
This will fix the problem quick and easy.
    Kind regards,
    Piet Groeneveld

  • Line Drop Fiasco, Canceled Appointments, No End In Sight

To Whom it May Concern: I want to thank you, Comcast Xfinity for teaching me a lot over the past 2 weeks. Let me explain. My husband, 2 year-old son, and I moved on May 27 – May 31. We were previous Comcast customers and have always been incredibly happy with the interface of the Comcast X1 platform. It seemed like a no-brainer that we would keep it at the new home, just about 4 miles down the road. On May 2, using your “Movers Edge” program I put in a request to disconnect service on May 30 and begin service at the new house on May 30. I was pleased at how easy of a process this was.May 30 comes and a person shows up… on time. However, the appointment was incredibly short. Immediately the technician asks if Comcast has already been out. We need a line drop and someone will call me. On June 1, I returned my old equipment to a Comcast Service Center. I ask the staff to check on my request. They tell me that it still has the original request open and that someone will call me. On June 3, I finally call Comcast the check on the status. I am told that the line drop will occur on Tuesday, June 9 between 1-5pm. I chatted with an agent on June 4. This agent tells me that everything will happen at the same time. They will fix my line in my yard and I will also get all of my boxes and modem. I am elated with this news! I called again on June 5 to confirm. I am told that no, they cannot do the line drop and installation in one day. However, they are doing a special request so that I can get it all in one day. I am frustrated that the story has changed, but happy at how helpful the agent was. I call again to confirm on Monday. I am once again told that the appointments cannot occur on the same date. The next installation date in Thursday, June 18. I am furious. I am thinking for a week that the line drop and installation will occur at the same time. I ask them to get me an earlier date. I am not waiting till the 18th. I am given an appointment on Friday, June 12 from 1-4pm. Tuesday June 9th! I am supposed to get the line drop. An end is in sight. I call at 1pm as I am leaving work to check on the line drop. The agent tells me that they see the special request, however, she gets an error when she tries to see more. The agent tells me to call back in a couple of hours. I call back at 3pm. The agent tells me that she is also getting an error. She tells me that she’s putting in a request and someone will call me back in the next 30 minutes. I give it an hour. No phone call. I call back. The agent now tells me that this kind of request requires 24 hours for someone to return the call. I still get no response regarding why the line drop was not complete. 24 hours goes by. No phone call from anyone at Comcast. On Wednesday, June 10, in the morning, I chat with someone via the web services and I am told that they’re waiting for a permit. I had to beg for this information. Initially they said that it was scheduled but provided no additional information. I demanded that they tell me more. They tell me that the installation should still take place on June 12. I call again Wednesday afternoon. I am told that the line drop requests actually have a 10-day window. Information I was never told until now. I ask about my installation on Friday, June 12. They tell me this will not happen. I am transferred to billing, and sales, and technical support. None of these sound like departments that can assist me. When are they going to do the line drop? When am I going to get service? Should I give up and go to FIOS, it’s more than a week later. I am finally given new dates. Line drop on Monday, June 15 and installation on Thursday, June 18th. With my new information that line drops have a 10-day window, and that they need a permit, I ask how likely this appointment will still occur. No one is able to give me an answer. And with this 10-day window will the line drop really occur on June 25? More than a month after my initial appointment? No one is able to give me an answer. I finally ask for someone in customer service. If I am going to stick with Comcast, how are they going to compensate me for all the hours I have been on the phone, being told different stories? How are they going to compensate me for missed appointments? How are they going to compensate me for going at least 3 weeks without phone/internet/cable? I am told there is nothing they can do. My bill will not be lowered. I already signed up for the multi-room DVR and all the premium channels. They cannot give them to me for free or lower price because I “already have them”. I ask them to lower the plan I signed up for and then compensate me. I and then told that it doesn’t work that way. So after (a minimum) of 3 weeks, I may finally get service but there’s no way to be compensated for all my troubles? Why am I still talking to these folks? Like most people in the 20 something age-range, I google my problems. I come across people that suggest complaining to the county and the FCC. I filed complaints with both. Since this line drop hasn’t occurred, there’s a problem with the infrastructure. The FCC responds and tells me my complaint has been forwarded on. There is a 30-day window for Comcast to respond. So, what have I learned?I have much more patience than I thought I would in this situation. For a week I have been calling Comcast or chatting with Comcast. Some days I was reaching out up to 3 times a day.I trusted Comcast much more than I should have. Every time I talked to someone the story changed. I was given different information, sometimes more information. But it was constantly changing. During the process I was so wrapped up, I didn’t think twice. On two occasions, I was promised that someone would call me back within 24 hours. I received no phone calls, no messages. Not sure what a promise means to Comcast.I learned that you can complain to your county and FCC regarding the cable infrastructure. I had no idea that this was possible. Even if nothing comes of it, it felt good to let important people know that I am struggling. There is no need to get the best package. When you get the package there is no way to compensate you for all your energy, time, and effort lost. There was no way to send me a gift card, give me free DVR or free premium channels. Apparently I already had them even without having service yet.Comcast can make you feel crazy. In addition to believing that everyone is telling me the truth. Why have appointments if no one will show? Why have appointments when it’s really a 10-day window? I ended up feeling like it was a job to make sure Comcast was working on my case. I also felt like I couldn’t just let it go. Just go to FIOS. They’re able to give you service. Just let it go.So that is where I am now. I just have to let it go. There is no need to BEG Comcast to let me be a customer. They have no problems cancelling appointments without notifying me. They have no problem giving me the run around and telling me a different story and excuse every time I call. They have no problem stringing me along for days on end making me think that I’ll get service in the next 3-days, 5-days, etc. They have no problem telling me how “sorry they are” and how they “understand my frustration” but then there is no way to fix it and no end in sight. Not expecting a response. Just be leary if they Comcast tells you that you need a line drop. There are no guarantees. I've read other people saying it took MONTHS.

  • Ical - moving appointments from one ID to another

In an attempt to eliminate my second Apple ID / iCloud account (let's refer to the two accounts as KEEP and LOSE), I exported iCal data from LOSE, and tried importing it to KEEP.  I did the import after switching iCal to point to KEEP.  The Import populated iCal correctly, but after a moment there was an error message telling me the calendar couldn't be sync'ed with iCloud.  I checked iCal Preferences to make sure I was still pointing to KEEP, but it was in fact pointing again to LOSE.  So obviously the export file contained some sort of reference to LOSE that the import process had seen.
So how can I do this?  I assume I don't have to dive into the .icbu bundle and modify all references to my iCloud account, do I?
    Thanks,
    Chap

I think you might be confusing default calendars with your user (iCloud) accounts.
        1)    Create a new empty calendar from the iCal file menu, select which account you want to create it in.
        2)    If you have only a few appointments you can move them individually by editing them and changing the calendar in the edit options.
        3)    Alternatively you can copy all the appointments in one calendar to another and delete the original.
        4)    To copy a calendar ctrl-click on it from the menu that appears when you select the calendar button (top left corner of iCal) and choose export (export it to your desktop for ease)
        5)    Double click the exported file and choose the new empty calendar to import them into.
        6)    Ctrl-click on the original calendar from the menu that appears when you select the calendar button and choose delete.

  • Set a Default Calendar for New Appointments in iCal?

I never found a post with a sufficient answer to this question. However, it seems as though I may have stumbled on a resolution myself.
iCal has it's own default calendars: Home and Work. I use MobileMe so the MoblieMe calendar is listed there as well. I also have an iPhone 4. I wanted all calendars to syncronize automatically when I create a new appointment on any of the 3 locations (laptop, cloud, or phone). I found that when create a new event in iCal on my macbook pro, it wouldn't update with mobileme or my phone. This was because when I double click to create a new event, iCal automatically puts the new event into my "Home" calendar, even though it was unchecked and not highlighted. As soon as I double click to create the new event, iCal's default kicks in and the Home calendar in the "On My Mac" section suddenly becomes checked and highlighted all by itself and the new event is automatically placed there, never to be updated with the cloud or on my phone.
I think the problem may be related to something I read under "How Do I Set a Default Calendar for New Appointments in iCal?" There a solution given was that the uppermost calendar was being defaulted to and it was suggested to drag the desired calendar to the uppermost position. None of my calendars would drag anywhere. However, I find that if I uncheck Home and Work in the column on the left under "On My Mac" AND then click the arrow so those two calendars are hidden (very important), and then check and highlight the only showing calendar: MobileMe, that (so far) when I doulbe click to create a new event, a new event is created in the MobileMe calendar, and Home and/or Work under the "On My Mac" section never becomes checked or highlighted. So the new event is created only in the MobileMe calendar listed and updates on my laptop, in the cloud, and on my phone.
So far that has been my experience; but, it has been only minutes since I tried that, so let's see what happens after a couple of weeks or so of normal use and see if the problem is actually resolved.

I have been searching for this information for weeks now -- thank you!
This works for Google Calendar as well as for Mobile Me. I'm going to type a little more information here to see if I can help this answer come up more quickly for other users when they keyword search as I was doing.
This answer helped me reset and change the default calendar for iCal. I can now set my Google Calendar as the default calendar in iCal. When I create a new event in iCal, it syncs to Google Calendar as the default calendar without having to choose another calendar. All my iCal new events now go directly to Google Calendar and sync to my iPhone and iPad. I couldn't move the gmail google calendar to the top position, and just unchecking Home and Work didn't change where new events defaulted. Now my new events automatically go from iCal to google calendar, and I don't lose track of any events. I think you can set any calendar as the default iCal calendar for new events using this approach.
