Microsoft Exchange Email Not Working

I recently upgraded to an iPhone 5s.
I went to download my iCloud backup I had made of my old phone, and I went in to put in the password for my exchange account (thanks to iCloud everything else was already filled in). I put in the password, and I get check marks next to all the fields I must fill in to access my email.
I go to the mail app, and it says "No mail" for any account. I don't believe this is an iOS 8 issue, since I had iOS 8 on my iPhone 5. The iPhone 5s I am using now, was my son's, and his email worked just fine on it earlier today.
Any suggestions are helpful, thank you in advance.
-Patrick

I tried removing the Exchange account from my old iPhone and the new one, and re-adding the Exchange account to my new phone, with no success.
I know I only have a few devices with my Exchange logged in: My iPad, my work laptop, and some Verizon tablet I was given after upgrading my data plan, and now my new iPhone. What is the typical limit on devices? I could try removing it from my Verizon tablet since I don't use it on there often and see what that yields?

Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync not working in Mobile Network – Blackberry Z10
I have set-up office email account in Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync this work only over office Wi-Fi not working outside of office Wi-Fi range. When I back to office all new e-mail loaded automatically. I have no problem with yahoo email setup in the same Z10 hand set work in both Wi-Fi and Mobile network. I have data plan with my carrier. Both emails were working in my previous Blackberry hand set Bold 9900. But with this New Z10 this become a problem
What could a the problem and I need help please

The URL you provided https://... does require SSL as it has a "s".
Have you tested the server OMA setup with a notebook or desktop (https://webmail.domain.com/OMA)?
You should receive a login prompt for username & password following by an Inbox listing of messages.
We used this step to verify server setup before configuring an iPhone. Lastly, we made certain that connectivity would work from outside or within our company by doing the following:
    1) created A record for webmail.domain.com to a public IP that route through the firewall on 443 to the Exchange server's private IP - this handles external traffice
    2) added an internal DNS record for webmail.domain.com to the private IP of the Exchange server.
This ensures that webmail.domain.com sync's to exchange from outside or from within the Enterprise.

  • Adobe reader and exchange email not working after update

I updated to Safari 5.1.1 and Security Update 2011-006 via Software Updates today.
This rendered my .PDF plugin completely useless so I uninstalled that and tried the built in version, which works for all form input but will not allow me to submit the form!
Also my exchange email quite working.
I have deadlines I NEED to get done using in browser .PDF support w/ the ability to submit.
    Any suggestions?

I responded to the other post with a solution to this, user I troubleshooted was on Exchange 2013
I came across this issue today. Email appears to be sent but nothing  shows up in the sent items or the recipient mailbox. I powered off and  on the iphone and tried to send again and this time got a message  sending error and it kept retrying. I went into the advanced settings of  the exchange email account and turned S/MIME on and the email got sent.  I then turned S/MIME off again and emails continued to be sent  normally.

  • Exchange Email not working in Mail v5.0

I am trying to forward my school email address which uses exchange to the mail app. I have done this successfully on my older mac that is running Mail v4.5. However, when I try it on my macbook it does not work successfully and it has a pop up window that asks for the password everytime I try to bring the account "online" and even when I enter the password correctly it still continues to ask for the password. I have used all the same internal and external servers that are being used on my old imac but it refuses to work. I must not understand how to set it up correctly. Help?

No idea what/how Exchange works, but Here's what I'd try...
Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), & use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions, reboot once more.
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.
Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under any Mail item, change it, or delete it and start over.
See if this might apply, Mac OS X 10.4: Keychain Access asks for keychain "login" after changing login password...

Resetting your keychain in Mac OS X...
    >If Keychain First Aid finds an issue that it cannot repair, or if you do not know your keychain password, you may need to reset your keychain.

Reboot and next time Mail asks for a password, enter it & allow it to be stored in the Keychain.

  • Exchange email not working since update

Help! Before the update, my POP accounts weren't working (wasn't receiving new email unless I turn phone off and back on). Now POP seems to be working, but my corporate Exchange account is totally not working. There is a (new) yellow banner message that appears in email list saying Connecting to Server. And then it seems to get stuck there. It somehow downloaded 1 message (the first one that came in) since the update of my phone this morning. But since, it won't Push any more email.
Also, I think my GPS got worse. When I was outside earlier (granted, I was around tall buildings) it wouldn't get a lock--not even after 5 minutes. WIll have to test further.

    Thanks for the tip.
I was having the same problem, although it was kinda nice in a way not to be getting instant email notification.
    But I'm back to normal.
Uninstalled and installed and my nose is back on the grindstone.

  • Microsoft Exchange Email not Syncing

I have synced my Iphone with my company's server using microsoft exchange. When I did this the day I got my phone, everything worked fine. A day later, I quit receiving/sending emails. I have deleted the account and set it up again several times. My calendar and contacts sync perfectly, I just can't get my email. I've tried the trouble-shooting I could find on the website too.
    Please help!!

  • Microsoft Exchange email stopped working "Cannot Get Mail" message

About 4 days ago my work email stopped working altogether. Every time i open the application, a message 'Cannot Get Mail - The connection to the server failed.' appears. This happened about a day after i installed 2.2 firmware.
I spoke with my IT department and they haven't made any changes on the server.
I deleted all mail accounts on my phone but to no avail. I did a complete restore of the phone and it still doesn't work.
I had my phone replaced yesterday for a different issue, it came with 2.1 software and i still was not able to connect to the server.
One more thing, when i initially set up the account, i get an error message 'Unable to Verify Certificate'.
The email was working fine for about three months before that.
Any help would be very much appreciated since it's my work phone and i rely on having access to my email everywhere i go.
    Thanks,

Try rebuilding the mailbox. This can take awhile if you have a lot of mail.

  • Ipad mini 3 can't sync with microsoft exchange email (iphone 6 can)

I have an iPhone 6 and iPad mini 3 (verizon). Both are set up the exact same. At work, I am able access Microsoft Exchange email using the iPhone mail app with wifi. (I work underground and have no access to cell service) However, the iPad Mini will not allow me to access my email over wifi using the mail app.
Here is the tricky part. 1)wifi works perfectly on the iPad Mini for all other functions (safari, other apps, etc.). 2)when I get home (or anywhere else) the iPad mini is able to access my work email without a problem. I am not using my cellular connectivity at home, so it has nothing to do with that.
Nobody at work seems to be able to figure it out. Is it a MAC address issue, IP address or a blocked port? Help me please!
All passwords and other settings are the same on the iPhone and iPad. Also, this is not a gmail exchange account. I already know that gmail does not support new exchange accounts. This is a work hosted email.

Here is what I gather from my reading:
-- delete you exchange account then re-configure.  Shakes things up.
    -- reboot device.
    -- re-install from backup.
-- use microsoft outlook for ipad.  ( some business do not allow.  check.  Why? caches info on amazon cloud. ) You should try as a trial at least.
2)when I get home (or anywhere else) the iPad mini is able to access my work email without a problem.
VPN vs no VPN?  Would seem there is a diff here.
    Re-boot ipad.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears, then drag the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.  page 128 iPad user manual.
force power down if the above give you trouble.
Hold down both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button. Ten seconds or more.  Hold until the Apple logo appears.

  • Microsoft Exchange Calendar not synching from Phone

Have a new Droid X (had to replace old one after update crashed it) and it appears to be synched to my work MS Exchange just fine, with one exception. If I enter calendar items on the phone they don't show up on my Outlook at work.  Checked forum, found one solution ,but it was just directions on how to set up corporate synch.  Help, please!  I'm missing appointments......

    Hi Erikcole7,
To sync your corporate Exchange, you do need to work with yout IT group at your employer. However, I have included a link that provides you with a step-by-step process in getting this completed.
Though the device at this link is not the Droid X, I have verified that this device will work in the same way.

  • I want to use microsoft exchange email on my mac. What is the best way to do this?

I want to use microsoft exchange email on my mac. I currently have the Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63) operating system.  Is this compatible with microsoft exchange?  If not, what can I do to make this work?
    Thanks!

First, someone needs to offer that kind of service to you, i.e., your employer. Then, they have to allow you to access it.

  • Outlook 2010 Problem opening shared mailbox "the set of folders cannot be opened. Microsoft Exchange is not available"

Hi, I have a number of mailboxes configured for sharing.
For those users who have full access rights (given via EMC) the mailboxes automatically appear in Outlook 2010.
However for one of those mailboxes the users recieve the following error when they try to access it:
"The Set of Folders cannot be opened. Microsoft Exchange is not available. Either there are network problems or the Exchange server is down for maintenance."
Meanwhile the users' primary mailboxes continue to work as normal, as do the other mailboxes that have been shared with them.
The output of get-mailboxpermissions for the problematic mailbox is the same as the output for a full working one.
If I add the mailbox to my account (as though I was using Outlook 2003) it allows me access, however I then have the situation of having the mailbox listed twice, one working the other not.
How do I get this mailbox to behave as expected?
    Many thanks
    Nick

So the problem returns. I'm not sure what we did to work around it, the users who were having the problem have left and the new batch are now encountering it.
I have issued the following command on the Exchange Server (one site, one server, all roles, only a default throttling policy exists):

When I create a second profile via Mail (in control panel) for the shared mailbox and then start outlook using this profile I am able to access the mailbox as expected. This is running in the context of the user who cannot access it from her
    default Outlook profile.

You don't. Apps are permanently tied to the ID used to purchase them. Instead of creating a new ID, change the primary email address on your existing ID.
