MIGO_GR SLED check for non-SLED managed materials

I found out, quite accidentally that our ECC6 system setup permits the entry of data into the SLED field in MIGO_GR even if the material I am receiving has Min Shelf Life = 0.  Conversely, there is an error check in place if I try to post a GR and didn't enter SLED into the GR screen for material where Min Shelf Life >0.
Is there a way via IMG configuration (or any other way) to set a check in system so that I can't enter SLED for material with Min Shelf Life =0?
Thanks,
Marc

Thanks Satpal.  I will do that.  General question though, if I turn off this functionality it appears that there will be no SLED check at all, including a check for materials that are SLED controlled.  Is this an appropriate understanding on my part?  I'd like to have the system perform check when material has min shelf life >0, forcing a hard stop and require a SLED entry as well as perform check when material has min shelf life =0 and system not permit user to enter SLED.

  • Changing SLED date on non Batch Managed Materials

    Is it possible to change the SLED date on QUANTS for Materials that are not batch managed?  This date is originally recorded in the Goods Receipt (MIGO).
    The SLED is displayed in the LS24 Bins Stock per Material Report.
    Where this is incorrect on Batch Managed Materials the SLED date can be changed on the Batch in MSC2N, however for non Batch Managed Materials it does seem possible to change it.

    The SLED field only exists in the quant when shelf life management is active in Materials Management (MM). This happens when the material master is maintained accordingly.
    During a stock placement in MM you can enter either the production date or the shelf life expiration date. This depends upon whether the field Remaining shelf life has been maintained in the material master record. For example, if 10 days have been entered into this field, the system assumes that when goods are received, the production date was entered and calculates the shelf life automatically. If you leave this field empty in the material master, the system makes it possible for you to directly enter the shelf life expiration date.
    This date that is entered or calculated during the goods receipt is then noted in the quant that is created in the storage bin. If you add stock to an existing quant in a storage bin, the shelf life expiration date of the new quantity that is added is lost.

  • How does the shop floor know to pick non-WM managed materials?

    Hi experts...
    More of a process question this time.  The bulk of our materials are warehouse managed in SAP.  As such, when we release a production order, the warehouse gets a pick ticket (TO) to pick and stage those materials.
    Obviously, the non-warehouse managed materials do not appear on the pick list.  How, in most companies, do the warehsoue folks know to pick those items if they don't appear on the pick list?
    It must be obvious but I'm missing it!
    Thanks in advance.
    Sarah

    Hi,
    All production relevant materials in component list are present on the pick list. You can verify the same by executing CO27 (mass) or MIGO or MB1A (individually).
    For parts which are warehouse managed & if WM-PP interface is setup, once the order is released, a TR is generated for warehouse to process the picking, once the TR & TO is process, the GI is done.
    For parts which are not warehouse managed, the stock is managed in IM (i.e. at sloc level), for these the pick list which is printed at the time of order release will serve as a picking instruction for warehouse personnel & subsequently a GI is posted via MB1A / MIGO / CO27.
    Hope it clarifies.

  • Duplicate check for non inventory vendor invoices in Finance

    Hi,
    SAP provides duplicate check for non inventory vendor invoices posted through transactions F-43 and FB01 etc. The field values checked for duplicate invoice include Document date and Reference field.
    I want to know, is there any flexibility of removing Document date from checking criteria?
    This is to facilitate picking more invoices in duplicate check net.
    Regards,
    Vijay

    Dear Vijay
    Yes, you can control this via business transaction events. Please review the below explanation.
    In Rel 4.6, duplicate invoices are checked using function module
    FI_DUPLICATE_INVOICE_CHECK which is called when invoices are posted via trans FB60.  Duplicate invoice checking criteria can be customized using the open FI interface SAMPLE_PROCESS_00001110 (custom function module) starting from Rel 4.6.  Please verify if the open FI interface 00001110 is being used in your system and review duplicate invoice selection criteria via trans BERP. You may wish to omit the document date (BLDAT field from the duplicate invoice check criteria to trigger error msg F5117.  In addition, table BSIP (vendor duplicate documents) may need to be updated.  (see note 114563 for further info).
    Please also check note 537213, and note 31771 for your information.
    If this helps please reward with points.

  • Account assignment check for non-direct material in shopping cart creation

    Hello Guru's
    i'm very new to SRM please help me
    We require all non-direct material shopping carts to be ordered with a valid account assignment. Therefore we implemented BADi ZUB2MB_DP_PROD_CHK to suppress the u201COrder as Direct Materialu201D Button. This button allows any order to be placed without account assignment like a direct material.
    We started ordering direct materials in SRM at go-live with a cost center, but when they were received, SAP considered them consumed due to the account assignment and did not place them into QA Inspection or assign a batch. We immediately, switched back to SAP for direct materials.
    We need a solution that will require all non direct material shopping carts to have account assignments, while allowing direct materials to be ordered with or without account assignments. All while keeping the current checks in place regarding the mixing of account assignments, Z required for TBI catalogs, etc.
    please tell me how to write the logic in the DOC_CHEK_BADI  to check weather account assignment is made for non-direct material while creating a shopping cart.
    thanks in advance....

    Account Assignment notification, should be take care by standard SRM functionality itself..
    Your using SRM 7.0 or 5.0 ??
    Thanks!!

  • Check for non-numeric characters in textbox input

    I have a form with several textboxes, each of which can accept numeric input. I want to write a validation/ plsql block that checks for a non-numeric character in the input, so that my user sees a customized error message rather than a database error. Any tips on how I can achieve that? Is there any function like "isalpha" in C, which can directly do the job?
    Also, some of these numeric fields should allow commas, since people put commas in larger numbers.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Arie,
    i figured it out. turns out, i had some confusion in my mind. i modified Taneal's solution to use it in my already existing validations of type 'function returning error text' and it works fine.
    the problem before was that i was running 2 separate validations on the same field, and probably due to the sequence numbers, i was getting a numeric or value error. now, i've combined all validations into a single validation and it works fine.
    and honestly, i'm pretty bad with reg. ex. :D

  • EWA: error message in CRM check for SAP Solution Manager system

    In EWA report for SAP Solution Manager system I have seen error message: Many CSA* inbound queues in error status were detected in your system. As a result of this BDocs have not been delivered. And then table

    and others.
    I looked transaction smq2. There are 11300 queues in it. Is it actual error or it is a normal situation? And that must I do, to remove an error?
    Edited by: Mariya Kurbatova on Jul 2, 2009 6:27 AM

    Hi,
    Usually problems with hanaging CSA* queues are caused because too many
    indiviaual queues are created for the qRFC resources to handle. You can
    limit the number of queues as described in note 763680.
    Note 763680 would be useful if all of your qRFC resourcesa are in use
    when you have a great number of queues. With a large number of dialog
    WPs on the system it would probably make sense to reduce the amount
    as described in the note.
    the casue when you have this problem would be to check SMQR -> GOTO ->
    qRFC resources. You can also see if most of your dailog WPs are in use
    in SM50.
    Also refer to note 758677.
    Please schedule report RSQIWKEX (Inbound) to run as described in the
    note.
    And since your title has mentioned that the EWA is on your CRM satellite system; this maybe a further good reference too
    When you replicate lots of data from CRM to R/3, there could be a qRFC
    resource problem. In this case, the numebr of queues created can be
    reduced by implementing the attached note 356228, particularly solution
    2.
    For CSA* queues is slightly different from the one decribed in note;
    this is because the CSA queues exchange data within the CRM system.
    The steps described should be followed, except that table SMOFQFIND
    must be used instead of CRMQNAMES. In this table, fields TR_SNAEMS and
    SEGM_FLD are equivalent to the CRMQNAMES fieds BAPISTRUCT and BAPIFLD
    respectively. It should be possible to follow the solution 2 in the
    note as long as you use SMOFQFIND instead of CRMQNAMES.
    Hope this helps
    Cheers,
    SH

  • Recurring Inspection is required for non batch managed material

    Hi Gurus,
    My scenerio is I want recurring inspection of material  but my material is not batch managed. is there any way around to cater this requirement?
    Regards

    Without Batch management the reccuring inspection is not possible because if you receive 100 quantity of material A on date X and consume 50 and again you purchase 50 on daye Y and comsume 30 out of it .. Then how the system will know about when to trigger this inspection and for how much quantity..Even you use development the system canot identify the materials got consumed .. If it is serialized material then you can do it by creating the development table and maintaining the receipt date for each serial no and the inspection date...

  • PO Release Strategy - Only for Non MRP generated materials

    Hello,
    I have a requirement in which any material which was generated via MRP (via PR) should not go through a release strategy at the PO level, but a non MRP generated PR should...
    Is this possible at all? I know its possible at the PR level, but not sure at the PO...   Would this be a case where we would need to added a field to the CEKKO structure thats for MRP generated PRs ?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    By business any PO created, should follow release procedure as PO a committed document which will further send to vendor.
    If you are sure about your requirement, PO created from MRP PR should not follow release strategy, then no need to go for any User Exit.
    Just create separate document type for PR (ZMNB) , create separate document type MRP PO( ZMNB) and  link MRP PO document type ( ZMNB) with MRP PR document type( ZMNB) in flowing path:
    SPRO>MM>Purchasing>Purchase Order>Define Document Types
    Now select your ZMNB B Purchase Order Document type and click link purchase requisition document type in Dialog Structure, enter ZMNB Purchase Requisition Document type with a new entry & save.
    As you created release characteristics of document type (CEKKO with BSART), then do not keep Value u201CMRP PO document type (ZMNB) u201Cin the release characteristics of document type and design your release strategies.
    Now create your PO with MRP PO document type (ZMNB) and see no release strategy triggered.

  • MIGO_GR Authorization check for PO Document type

    Hi Friends,
    We would like restrict users processing GR's against certain PO document types. In brief, <b>X</b> group of users are allowed to process GR's against PO document type <b>'NB'</b>  only. This validation should take place soon after they enter the PO number or at the check level in MIGO_GR.
    Unfortunately, MIGO does not provide relevant standard authorization object... or EXITS to achieve this.
    Appreciate, if you share your expertice in this regard . Points will be awarded...

  • Authorization check for Easy Document Management

    Hello,
    I'm using ECC6 without cProjects or any other implementations regarding the authorization concept in Easy DMS. I'm trying to use authorization control inside the Easy DMS GUI but these settings won't work. I need document based authorization and it seems like ACL's are used for this. The problem is, I do not know which route to follow. I have viewed note 798504, but I could not make sure it will do the work for ECC6 also. My DMS is integrated to a Windows 2000 Content Server 6.3 and I have done its settings accordingly.
    Could anyone please kindly show me which way this is done, using only a ECC6 SAP system and Easy DMS without any need of SAP internal roles and authorizations?
    What I need is a step-by-step instructions, as I'm quite new to SAP.

  • Block ActiveSync for non Intune managed devices

    Hi!
    is it possible to block Active Sync for devices, wich are not managed by Intune? (Active Sync Quarataine, wich will auto-allow MDM devices?). It would be great to take a Hand over the byod devices...
    Bye
    André

    Thanks. Unfortunately 2 EAS policies will not work for me, because EAS policies are set on users/mailboxes. This would result in devices not secured by neither Intune nor EAS.
    I believe this is a shortcoming in Exchange/SCCM/Intune. There should be an option where an administrator can define whether EAS or Intune policy is leading.
    Do you know some place to write feedback to the Intune / SCCM development team?

  • Thunderbird spell-checking for non en_US broken

    Hi there,
    Is someone else experiencing issues with spell-checking support for languages other than en_US?
    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Go to write and compose a new message
    2. Click on the "Spelling" button in the top toolbar to select the dictionary.
    In that selection I used to see all my installed dictionaries. Now I only see English (US).
    Installed dictionaries:
    hunspell 1.3.3-1
    hunspell-de-de 20131206-1
    hunspell-en-gb 7.1-2
    hunspell-nl-nl 2.10g-1
    hunspell-pl 20120911-2
    Tested with the following versions of Thunderbird:
    thunderbird 31.1.1-1
    thunderbird-beta-bin 33.0b1-1
    It does not seem to be an add-on issue since I also tried it with all add-ons being disabled.
    Other programs still properly use the installed dictionaries.

    With these (latest) versions of official x86_64 packages:
    $ pacman -Qs hunspell
    local/hunspell 1.3.3-1
    Spell checker and morphological analyzer library and program
    local/hunspell-en 7.1-3
    English hunspell dictionaries
    $ pacman -Q thunderbird
    local/thunderbird 31.1.1-1
    Standalone Mail/News reader
    Works okay for me too.

  • String index out of bounds... issue regarding checking for non-integers

    okay. i have been racking my brain about this for the last couple of days. i looks like everything is alright, but i keep getting string index out of bounds exception: string index out of range 1.
    heres the code.
                   for(int x=0; x<size; ++x)
                        count=x+1;
                        System.out.println("Please enter value #"+count+(":"));
                        numnum=console.nextLine();
                        if(Character.isDigit(numnum.charAt(x)))
                             goodInput=true;
                        if(!goodInput)
                             System.out.print("Please Enter Only Integers!");
                        else
                             values[x]=Integer.parseInt(numnum);
    its probably something really stupid, but if someone can figure this out, id be most grateful.
    -thanks

    Be sure values contains data.
    Then make sure that size = values.length
    Either you don't have any data to iterate through, or the size variable is too big. So it's trying to search in parts of the array that don't exist.

  • Physical Inventory & Cycle Couting for Batch Managed Materials

    Hi Friends, pls help me on this scenario
    Physical Inventory
    For a Batch Managed Materials we have hundreds materials and thousands of batches (each batch is equally imp)
    So the first step would be
    Create the documents with MI31 Batch Input session
    Post the count with MI34 Batch Input Session
    See the difference in MI37
    MIDO we get to c the physical inventory overview.
    correct me if i am wrong
    Cycle Count
    This is a seasonal Business and ABC analysis based on requirements n Consumption doesn't work for this process. Is there any way that we can configure the system in SAP which has the ability to fulfill the following scenario.
    They shud be able to select a % of materials from the storage for every month and that way they shud finish counting all of them at the end of their season. Not based on any criteria, just a part of materials ...
    hope i am clear on the requirement..please suggest me something
    thanks

    No,  it will not match, it will create its own document in background.
    Why do you have one created if you dont want to do a selection ?
    You cannot create a document for 1000 materials and then only count 30.
    You either create a document for 30 and count 30 and enter it with MI04, or you dont create a document with SAP, count based on any other paperwork and enter the count as I said with MI09.
