Block ActiveSync for non Intune managed devices

Hi!
is it possible to block Active Sync for devices, wich are not managed by Intune? (Active Sync Quarataine, wich will auto-allow MDM devices?). It would be great to take a Hand over the byod devices...
Bye
André

Thanks. Unfortunately 2 EAS policies will not work for me, because EAS policies are set on users/mailboxes. This would result in devices not secured by neither Intune nor EAS.
I believe this is a shortcoming in Exchange/SCCM/Intune. There should be an option where an administrator can define whether EAS or Intune policy is leading.
Do you know some place to write feedback to the Intune / SCCM development team?

  • IPodTouch SDK for non apple bluetooth device

I need to know if I can programmatically connect my iPod Touch (OS 3.0) to a non apple blue tooth device using the Apple iPod SDK.
I know that I can connect my iPod Touch (OS 3.0) to other iPods using GameKit API, But can I connect to other non apple Bluetooth devices?

But can I connect to other non apple Bluetooth devices?
An iPhone or touch will connect to non-Apple branded devices via Bluetooth now, such as Motorola headphones or Jensen car stereos for audio playback and phone calls.
You need to specify what you want to do exactly if your plan is outside those types of connectivity. Other uses can include proximity and remote speaker applications.
You might want to look over the External Accessory framework, released with 3.0.
...keep in mind, however, that the only way to communicate with other BT devices via the EAF is if they are in the 'Made for iPod' accessory program. http://developer.apple.com/iphone/program/accessories/
However again.... Even though they communicate through standard BT connections, accessories need special hardware in order to process the data stream coming from the iPhone / iPod touch. Unfortunately, this may mean that any idea of communicating with generic BT devices won't work on iPhone OS 3.x.
If the devices you want to talk to are Bonjour-discoverable via WiFi, they don't need to be part of the MfI program. Does that sound like your case?
Also you may want to keep in mind that 3rd. party devs in the future may release dongles that connect via the 30-pin dock port, providing access to existing BT devices. If said devs opened their communication protocols, that might enable the goal of communicating with said devices.

  • Exchange ActiveSync for a BlackBerry Smartphone device.

I work for a LARGE software company in Redmond, WA that is not terribly BlackBerry friendly.  I would like to purchase a Pearl 8120 and have it sync with my work email (Exchange server).
Is there a way to configure a BlackBerry device to use Exchange ActiveSync so I can use it for corporate email?
The only support doc I can find that mentions EAS is as follows (near the bottom of the doc)
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB04156&sliceId=SAL_Pub...
It discusses a conflict with using a BES wireless signal (which I don't want) and an EAS signal (which I do want).
Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

  • Block plannng for non-configurable products

    Hi ALL,
I wish to create blocks on a production rsource as follows,
    class- chemistry
    characteristics- chem1, chem2, chem3,chem4
when PPDS plans for products with chemistry chem1, the planned orders should be created in the block chem1 and so on, so that similar chemistry products are planned together in the time axis
I wish to know if this type of planning is possible. I welcome everones inputs.
    Thanks

    Hi Vardev,
The planning in PPDS happens as per the demand qty and date.
The demand checks the product characteristics and starts
assign in the capacity blocks that you have defined in the block
basis definition and assign for the material class.
Say for eg, for a daily bucket of 100, let us say there is demand of
    25 in chem1, chem2, chem3 and chem4 for the material class
chemistry,  each 25 will get occupied in their blocks at a
    stretch.
Say another eg, for a daily bucket of 100, if there is demand for
    10 for chem1, 15 for chem2, 0 for chem3, 15 for chem4, then
each block will get assigned with the capacity demand accordingly
and since there is no demand for chem3 characterisitcs, chem4
will get pushed to the previous buckets
Hope it is clear now.  Please confirm

  • Recurring Inspection is required for non batch managed material

    Hi Gurus,
My scenerio is I want recurring inspection of material  but my material is not batch managed. is there any way around to cater this requirement?
    Regards

Without Batch management the reccuring inspection is not possible because if you receive 100 quantity of material A on date X and consume 50 and again you purchase 50 on daye Y and comsume 30 out of it .. Then how the system will know about when to trigger this inspection and for how much quantity..Even you use development the system canot identify the materials got consumed .. If it is serialized material then you can do it by creating the development table and maintaining the receipt date for each serial no and the inspection date...

  • MIGO_GR SLED check for non-SLED managed materials

I found out, quite accidentally that our ECC6 system setup permits the entry of data into the SLED field in MIGO_GR even if the material I am receiving has Min Shelf Life = 0.  Conversely, there is an error check in place if I try to post a GR and didn't enter SLED into the GR screen for material where Min Shelf Life >0.
Is there a way via IMG configuration (or any other way) to set a check in system so that I can't enter SLED for material with Min Shelf Life =0?
    Thanks,
    Marc

Thanks Satpal.  I will do that.  General question though, if I turn off this functionality it appears that there will be no SLED check at all, including a check for materials that are SLED controlled.  Is this an appropriate understanding on my part?  I'd like to have the system perform check when material has min shelf life >0, forcing a hard stop and require a SLED entry as well as perform check when material has min shelf life =0 and system not permit user to enter SLED.

  • ACS not authorising Security Manager devices

    Hi I have a setup ACS 4.1 CS-Manager 3.2.2
I have intergrated the CS-Manager into ACS with no problems.
However when I try to add devices into the CS-Manager I get the message "The Device is not in the Cisco Secure ACS"
I have one wildcard entry encompassing all devices and the CS-Manager (TACACS+ (cisco IOS))
I am wondering if CS-Manager is not liking the wildcards.
Unfortunatley as we have 500 or so production devices already using this entry I am not in a position to remove it to test my theory at present.
Any one know if Wildcards are supported for authorising CS-Manager devices?
    Regards
    Colin

    Colin
Assumption: you have CSM's common services integrated correctly into ACS, first with a admin account in acs with full rights and second with the system identity user and pass in the ACS server with full rights as a user (not admin portal) and during the setup of AAA in CS you used the [tick box] to push out the authorization categories from CS into ACS.
Assumption: you have a super admin group in ACS setup that has full rights to CSM authorization categories that was pushed into ACS from Common Services when you first setup AAA in CS. And you have setup a user that is part of that the ACS super admin group.
    Three things to check.
    1. Under ACS, click the 'Share Profile Components' buttom, check that Common services has pushed out the Authorization categories into ACS, you should see CSM and auto update modules. Drill down into the CSM and check to see which authorization category gives the most access, should be 'System Administrator', make sure that all the tick boxes in this profile is all ticked with no gray or shaded boxes.
    2. The user account your logging into CSM is part of the ACS super user group that you created. Check the ACS super user group is correctly matching the CS-manager authorization categories. i.e make sure that you have matched the group that you checked in my previous point, 'System Administrator' or what ever group you created that gave full rights.
    3. Finally, you must have the device listed in your network device groups in ACS. Remembering that CSM will check against the ACS's NDG lists and WILL also matches against a FQDN, so if you added domain information into a device in CSM then the device listed in ACS will need to be the FQDN, if its not, then remove the domain name info from CSM and test. (EDIT: This might have been fixed in 3.2.2 not 100% sure but it broke my network in 3.1). I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark and say that the wild card might be failing you because it doesnt match between CSM host name and domain name sections to the ACS host name.
    Dale
Oh one final test you can try, log into the end device manually using telnet or ssh using the system identity user and pass. Just double check that the account gets access to the device via tacacs and that you can perform enable access type functions using this account.

  • Changing SLED date on non Batch Managed Materials

Is it possible to change the SLED date on QUANTS for Materials that are not batch managed?  This date is originally recorded in the Goods Receipt (MIGO).
The SLED is displayed in the LS24 Bins Stock per Material Report.
Where this is incorrect on Batch Managed Materials the SLED date can be changed on the Batch in MSC2N, however for non Batch Managed Materials it does seem possible to change it.

The SLED field only exists in the quant when shelf life management is active in Materials Management (MM). This happens when the material master is maintained accordingly.
During a stock placement in MM you can enter either the production date or the shelf life expiration date. This depends upon whether the field Remaining shelf life has been maintained in the material master record. For example, if 10 days have been entered into this field, the system assumes that when goods are received, the production date was entered and calculates the shelf life automatically. If you leave this field empty in the material master, the system makes it possible for you to directly enter the shelf life expiration date.
This date that is entered or calculated during the goods receipt is then noted in the quant that is created in the storage bin. If you add stock to an existing quant in a storage bin, the shelf life expiration date of the new quantity that is added is lost.

  • Auto-copy putaway quantity in Inbound for Non-WMS storage location

    Dear All SAP Gurus,
I need to create an inbound delivery document for non-WM managed storage location and "copy" the quantity into the "putaway quantity" field automatically. Is there any setting to do this automatic assignment? As far as I know, if the storage location is non-WM managed, we usually need to manually enter the putaway quantity as part of the verification process during the PGR (goods receipt).
    Please help.
Thank you and appreciated for your efforts.

  • TQM Total Quality Management for Non Planned Defective Material Containment

    HI SAP Experts,
My overall goal with this posting is to try and get a better understanding of some of the SAP best practices that have been implemented at other companies for defect containment in a global company (we have operations in China, Japan, USA, EU, Korea etc).
We are in the project charter phase to re-define how we identify and contain our non-planned defective materials / processes.   Historically we have used external custom applications written in ASP Visual Basic Intradev 6.0 to manage many of our processes including Defective Material Containment.   We have found that these processes are not scalable and not sustainable and looking to SAP applications to help provide solutions.
Our current process flow is basically as follows  --> Request Notification (with approval) --> Purge (Identify stock locations globally material exists in and pull inventory into a consolidated location where it can be controlled - Inspection, Materials, Customer Service etc) and Finally disposition - these processes are doing in SAP with QM notifications for materials.   You can see my disparate issues - no integrated reporting, responsiblity nor follow through.
The process is quite cumbersome (multiple data entry points, duplication of data) and not scalable. The only integration we have with this custom ASP application is that is used to provide the current inventory levels (in stock) at the time of the Containment was approved and the use of material status to lock parts so movements can not be performed during this initiative.
My basic thoughts on the process in SAP is as follows:
    1.  QM-QN Quality Notification (identify compliant, related tasks and approval to proceed with containment).
    2.  QM-MM Identify and Contain Parts globally using MM  (Task - separate notification completion driven as follow-on activity and notification record linked to primary notification)-->
    3.  QM -  inspection lot for Quality to identify inspection criteria for non planned defect and generate defective Notifications  for each defect found to ensure data integrity and historical tracking of problems.
    4. QM - Completion and disposition of Inspection lot.  Related notifications may still be open or not depending the owners disposition.
    5. QM  That same owner also has the decision to tighten or loosen inspection requirements for that material and vendor.
Basically I'm curious if I am even close in this process of going the right direction or not.   And is why I hope others might be able to share the process that they have implemented that identify (non planned) defects and containment processing.
I'm interested in any ideas you have on the basic high level concepts to ensure I am choosing the right modules and / or processes.
R/3 or SAP ECC6.0 is a little cumbersome to manage all these processes so we are also looking to see if any SAP customers have used Portal for such a processes.
If you do have a process map / flow with some screen shot's to share that would also be a great asset to us as we begin planning this project.
    Thanks and Regards,

    Ed,
I think you fitted your entire process in this single thread. I am not clear whether your containment stock across all these countries are releated to vendor complaints or is its also a mix of your in process rejections too.
    Suggestion 1,
If this containment across plants are related to vendor related defetcs, use Q2 notification for vendor rejection. through this notification defects can be captured, task can be assigned to vendor for completion. Status of thsi task can be monitored and captured through notification both at a line item level and header level. 8D, CAPA and all will be incorporated in this notification. This forms a closed loop for vendor defect analysis.
    Suggestion 2,
Consolidating containment stock from different plants across countries can be done through action box facility- Transfer stock posting.
Transfer post from unrestricted to block or Transfer post from Unrestricted to Quality or Transfer post from Blocked to Quality.
Its better you can create a seperate storage location and go ahead with this consolidation.
Now you can decide, this consolidation happen across plant level or towards one corporate plant level, anyway plant is mandatory when you deal with inventory.
I hope this thread will throw some light towards your requirements.
Concluding QM-QN is having a best practise closed loop, if it is mapped well as I have worked with this functionality very well. Workflow is another activity which you can think of, if you need a control on this plantwise.
Vendor wise inspection controls can be activated through Dynamic Modification Rule T Code: QDR1and Quality Level controls T Code: QDL1.

    Hi,
Have you defined and added corresponding logical systems for the respective satellite systems?
Here is the sequence of steps you've to do:
    in SMSY:
    1) Define server, DB, Systems
    2) Generate READ, TMW, TRUSTED RFCs to the satellite systems
    3) define logical systems and assign the satellite system to it
    in Solution_Manager:
    1) define new solution
    2) add the logical system into the solution
If these steps are successful, you should be able to see the satellite system in SYSTEM MONITORING in Solution_Manager.
Have you already done these steps?
    After performing these steps:
    Solution_Manager>choose relevant solution>operations setup>Solution Monitoring>System monitoring>Activate monitoring> choose the system and activate monitoring.
    Your system will then appear.
    Does this help any way?
