Migrating my existing customization to new Version

We are upgrading plumtree from version 5.1 to version 5.2.I am in the process of migrating my existing customization code to the new version of plumtree.I am facing certain problems as listed below:The class LoginHelper.java in the package com.plumtree.uiinfrastructure.login which is present in the uiinfrastructure.jar provided by plumtree, has following changes compared to its previous version:The following methods which were public in the version 5.1 are now private in the version 5.2DoTasksBeforeLogin()DoTasksAfterLogin()DoTaskOnFailedLogin()That is why I cannot compile my existing code which uses the above methods.So can you suggest me some alternative.Also GetDefaultPageRedirect() method now returns ILInk instead of Redirect.Can I get some documentation for the changes made in the new version and what are the alternatives?Thanks,

Ok since this is a pretty broad question and also since I had people laughing at me on the Bind (DNS) mailing list with a separate but related question I will provide some figures if it helps:
basically I am getting about 500 hits/month from web server and quite a few queries on DNS primary and secondary/day although not quite sure how to measure that.
The main server which currently I'm using a 1GB memory 3.4GHz PIV machine is doing ok but since I plan to VPN multiple sites in I will most likely need something with more memory although unsure of to go for single or dual socket system.
I reckon for Scalix and Zimbra a quad core single socket will be ok with round 2-4GB of memory. But I'm still not sure if I would need to go for dual socket systems in my setup unless I virtualize??
If anyone can at least advise it would be helpful!! Many thanks!

There is no utility that will do that for you. Not from SAP. Perhaps some 3rd party (google Ken Hamady), etc. Or, you could create an application in VS .NET or java to do it though.
But depending on what you are migrating from and what you are migrating to, you may not need to do any updating at all...

Migration of existing users to new database

Hi,
I am using weblogic portal server 7.0. I have configured my domain database
to oracle 8.1.7. from pointbase (which is default).
It's configuration has been done successfully. That means if i create new
user now it goes to oracle. But what about my existing users in my point base
database which i have created previously.
Is there any way to migrate users, groups from point base to new oracle instance?

How to :Migration from existing 595 into new 595 in RAC?

This is the bit complicated task for me(i.e) first let me explain our environment
We are having 595 two instances (RAC) and 8300 is our storage due to the position we are not able to enhance the memory and CPU in this existing 595 Server.So what we are planning to make another 595 servers with some high configuration?
Since this is new area for me dont know any idea of how to migrate these into new 595 Servers.
fy.i storage will not get any change it will be as it is.
I need any docs or anyone pls share their ideas and steps how they did(suppose if anyone did this already)

If your objective is to replace the exiting 595's with new one's then follow the steps below :-
1. configure both the new servers (595) for RAC installation - follow the pre-install steps required for installing clusterware etc. e.g. storage, network, ssh etc..
2. add both the new servers as a "node3" and "node4" into the existing 2-node cluster - follow the "node add" procedure in the documentation
3. turn-off the first 2 nodes on old servers (node1 and node2)
4. test your application with only the nodes...
5. remove the old nodes using "node delete" procedure given in the documentation

Our req: Build New CRM system with all latest version of software & 64 bit hardware. Details mentioned below.
Old System:
CRM 4.0 ABAP System
win 2003
Oracle 9i
non-unicode
32 bit hardware
New System( which i want to build):
CRM 5.2 (rampup version) ABAP+JAVA
win 2003
Oracle 10g
Unicode
64 bit hardware
Above mentioned is an new requirement for us.
Our Plan:
1. Old system -Conversion from non-unicode to Unicode system
2. Old system - System copy export method for create exports
3. Build New system with new unicode version(5.2) with Old system exports
Questions to Sapguru's:
1. Our plan will work or not?
a. If Yes - give me the guidelines ,Notes ,documentation paths
b. If No - Please provide your opinions/advices
2. 32 bit exports will work on 64 bit hardware SAP system?

My oldsystem is non-unicode system. As you said i will do system copy export method on old system(non-unicode) then i will use that exports(non-unicode) to build new system.

Will that exports(non-unicode) work while installing new system with unicode? or Will it give any problem?

1. will old system with oracle 9i exports work on new system with oracle 10g?

It depends on how paranoid you are.
There is a theoretical risk that a site in another tab or window could read through the history of your banking session and extract information, but that probably is very rare.

What's new version for sapwlpfnrm structure

sapwlpfnrm(SAP Workoad: Stat.record: Main statistic record) is old version of SAP Workload Collector. Do any one know the new version of this structure which can replace of sapwlpfnrm?

I do really appreciate your help. Actually, the problem I met was we were using function module 'SWNC_GET_STATRECS_FRAME' to get workload statistics and save the data into 'SWNCGLMAINREC' structure, and then use move -corresponding instruction to copy data from 'SWNCGLMAINREC' structure to 'sapwlpfnrm' structure. But the components type between the two structure is a little different , for example, 'QUEUETI' in 'SWNCGLMAINREC' is defined with 'DEC 12' but in 'sapwlpfnrm' is 'DEC 10'. As the result, it may cause potential overflow ABAP dump if the value of 'QUEUETI' in 'SWNCGLMAINRE' is exceed the maximum of 'DEC 10' but not reach 'DEC 12'.
When I check the new version of 'sapwlpfnrm' you mentioned, the 'QUEUETI' is still with 'DEC 10', that's to say, the problem i met is still exist with the new version.
So what I really want is to avoid potential overflow ABAP dumps if a structure could replace 'sapwlpfnrm' structure and can copy data from 'SWNCGLMAINREC' to it.

Do you still have legacy FCP? If you not you need to find someone who will open the project in FCP6.0.6 or later. Export an XML file of the project. Use 7toX to convert it to an XML format that works with FCPX. Import the converted XML file to FCP.

How do I migrate books from an older version of ADE on an old computer to a newer version of ADE on a newer computer?

I have installed various versions of Adobe Digital Edition on a new computer. The program says it detects books from an older version (which is correct, I copied "my digital editions" from an older computer to a new computer), and asks if I wish to migrate them to the new version. I say yes, the program tells me the migration is successful, but I cannot see the old books in the library. How do I get them to show up in the library of the new version of ADE?

I had my itunes account on my laptop which has since crashed. I had to buy a new computer and iinstall the new version of itunes. It did not pull up any of my information with music library, etc. Does anyone know how to transfer existing music from my itunes account for my ipod to my iphone?

How do you replace an existing MUSE site with a completely new version?

I am working on a complete revamp of my MUSE website.
I do not want to take down the current one until the new version is ready...
Do I have to delete the current version and then relaunch the new one?
The site is being hosted by Business Catalyst.

Hello,
You can publish the new site as trial to business catalyst. Once the site is ready to be live, you can republish it to your existing URL via Muse itself.
This will overwrite the current live site.
In case you do not want to delete the current live site, you will have to remove domain from current site and add it to this newly published site.
The previous version will then be accessible by business catalyst URL.

No. Only those Apps that are not installed on the new will migrate over.

Unless you've tried to install an older version of iTunes that message likely indicates a corrupt library file. See Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash...
