MII proxy configuration not working

Hello, there!
We have an application that runs as an HTTP proxy. It should intercept messages sent from MII to another system (running on the same machine) via Web Services.
I have configured MII ProxyHost and ProxyPort for MII, but it seems to be ignoring it. Even when I enter an invalid proxy configuration, MII manages to send the messages correctly, when it should raise a Connection Refused type of error.
I have already tried to restart MII application.
Does anybody have an idea on what could be happening?

Check the NetWeaver Logs and post here the error mesages if any.
White spaces are needed between public Id and system Id, check [Here|http://mobiforge.com/testing/story/fixit-valid-markup]

N9 automatic proxy configuration not working

Hi all
While configuring a network connection (wifi or 3G), N9 allows to put a proxy in "automatic mode". I guess this is for use with a PAC file, maybe with WPAD mechanism also.
I tried several ways to use it, through wifi mainly:
- putting "auto mode" without filling up the "address" field : no luck
- filled up the address field with the PAC file http address : no luck
i captured trafic on the DNS servers and next hope router and it is clear that the N9 never make use of any of the parameters. no dns request on wpad.mydomain, no tcp connection to pac server

I'm very disappointed because this feature seems to work but actually doesn't. It would be really helpful in corporate usage. Even IOS does the job.

1. In SMICM when I changed to port to 50100 (J2EE) then alert configuration
working, But My scenarios not working throwing error : System Error.

If Error: 404 Not Found
Description: The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address. This status code is commonly used when the server does not wish to reveal exactly why the request has been refused, or when no other response is applicable.
Possible Tips:- for HTTP_RESP_STATUS_CODE_NOT_OK 404
404 is an HTTP response code that indicates that the resource in question couldn't be found. Usually this is due to an incorrect URL, so it is better to cross check all URLs.
Check pipeline URL in the SLD in the business system of the Integration Server For this go to SLD->Business System-><yourIntegrtaion Server>->Pipeline URL: It should be like this http://<host>:<port>/sap/xi/engine?type=entry Where host is the host name of the Integration Server and port is the HTTP(8xxx) port. To verify this in Integration Server you can do like this. Go to SXMB_ADM->Integration Engine Configuration->Choose Edit from Menu -> Change Global Configuration Data to switch to change mode. Then select System Landscape - Load Configuration. (This is not required always)
Check that the port really is the ICM HTTP Port and not the J2EE port i.e SMICM then menu GOTO --> SERVICES and check the port number for HTTP. It should be HTTP port
If the error is Page cannot be displayed, cannot find server in https configurations Check and correct the SSL configuration for the ABAP and the J2EE side of the system
If the error is because of integration server when using Proxy communications then check these. i.e SXMB_ADM->Integration Engine Configuration->Corresponding Integration Server enrty should be dest://<Http Integration server-Destination> Where < Http Integration server -Destination > is the RFC destination (SM59) of type HTTP connection (type H) to the Integration Server. In this case, host name, port, and path prefix are saved in the RFC destination

Server proxy is not working

Hi Experts,
I have a scenario from jdbc to SAP.I have made serverproxy.The proxy was not working.I have test the proxy backend it is working fine,but i am staring jdbc channel the data was not insert in to the database table in sap.I have checked in sxmb_moni in sap r/3 system is showing scuessfully,but data was not sent to proxy.I have put one break point in the code for debugging the proxy.But data was not comming to breakpoint.Kindly help me.

Hi,
Make sure that you have not done any changes in your XI structure recently otherwise regenerate the proxy and then try agin.
Secondly if you have not done any changes then it's ok. Just one thing, have you used Commit Work just after modifying/inseting the value into database table. If not use this and then try again.
It seems that smoethig went wrong at R3 side because you said data is successful in R3 MONI, so data is reaching to R3 but not going into proxy.
When you kept the break point then were you able to see the debugger screen in R3?

Windows - Use system proxy settings not working as expected

Hi everyone,
I have a bit of an issue that I could use some help with. We currently have remote users that utilize an SSTP VPN connection to access our internal network. Once connected, those users are required to use an internal proxy server to connect to the Internet. The proxy server is Microsoft's TMG and utilized domain authentication.
On our remote Windows clients we have their Internet Options configured to utilize a proxy as follows:
Internet Options -> Connections -> LAN Settings -> No proxy configured at all
Internet Options -> Connections -> Highlight SSTP Connection -> Settings
Use a proxy server for this connection -> IP/Port of Proxy Server
Firefox and Chrome are both configured to use system proxy settings.
Here is my process to demonstrate the issues:
Remote client workstation is rebooted.
With the above configuration just after a reboot, a remote user that is not connected to the VPN can browse the Internet with Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Firefox. None of the browsers prompt for credentials.
A remote VPN connection is then established.
FF is opened and HTTP connections utilize the proxy server. However, HTTPS connections do not use the proxy server, but instead attempt to use the default gateway. FF does not prompt for credentials. FF is closed.
Chrome is opened and can access both HTTP and HTTPS sites without issue. No credential prompt. Chrome is closed.
IE is opened and can access both HTTP and HTTPS sites without issue. No credential prompt. IE is closed.
Here's where it gets weirder...
FF is then reopened. The VPN connection is still up. FF will prompt for credentials. Domain credentials are supplied and FF can now utilize the proxy for both HTTP and HTTPS connections. FF is closed.
VPN is disconnected.
FF is opened and cannot access the Internet as it is still trying to use the proxy server. FF is closed.
IE is opened and can access the Internet. IE is closed.
Chrome is opened and can access the Internet. Chrome is closed.
FF is reopened and can now access the Internet. FF is closed.
In summary, in the above scenario FF acts in an unexpected manner with regards to proxy usage when "use system proxy settings" is applied. However, Firefox begins acting as expected after IE is opened and closed. For example, connect to VPN, open IE, close IE, open FF, and everything works accordingly. Disconnect the VPN, open IE, close IE, open FF and everything works as expected.
Any insight you can provide would be appreciated as it is affecting our FF users and the sooner we can achieve resolution the better. As a note, we've also worked through this issue with WPAD and proxy auto-detect. I've intentionally removed these from the equation to simplify troubleshooting.

ABAP proxy Connection not working in ECC60

Hi All,
We have created the proxies in SPROXY and using it in the report..
All the proxy related configuration are done in LPCONFIG, since SOAMANAGER is not available in this version.
My issue is when I try to establish a connection with a non-sap application through this report, I get HTTP 503, Service unavailable....
When I debugged the report, I see this exception from the proxy "no extended message(SOAP_ESERVER)"....
The report in higher versions works, but the connection is intermittent, which means if I try to execute report first time. I get HTTP 200 OK response.
In this system, I have made the configuration in SOAMANAGER. If I try to execute the same report second time, I get service unavailable, and this is weird. I have
checked with the non-sap application and its up and running. The non-sap application is a Java application. I have imported the SSL certificates, created the Logical port
for the consumer proxy created with the necessary transport settings..
I have done all the configurations in both the systems(lower and higher). Is there anything that I am missing here?
Could anyone suggest me why the connection is intermittent and why its not working in lower version?

R/3 Proxy is not working

Hi XI Gurus,
Scenario:
The overview of the scenario is as follows.
1.legacy system will send file to XI which will send it to SAP via a ABAP Proxy.
2.The data is then validated in a control program(r/3) as per the various validation rules.
3.The validated data is then send back to XI via ABAP Proxy.
4.XI creates and posts the IDocs in SAP using the validated data.
Problem:
The file is coming successfully to ABAP proxy.
But, it is not returning back to XI(step 3).
This whole configuration was working successfully earlier.
Suddenly , now it is not working.
Even we are not able to Debug these XML Messages.
Any help in this matter will be very usefull.

Hi Santosh,
1. Pls do check whether your o/b proxy to XI is holding all the settings for sending the data in source system(R/3).
2. Have you provided the explicit 'Commit Work' statement after the outbound proxy?
3. Check in the debugging of the outbound proxy triggering program to see there is enough data to get into the place where the proxy is triggered.
4. Also check whether the queues for the outbound proxy is registered.
5. Check in the SXMB_MONI of your R/3 system which acts as a sender to see whats happening to your messages if step 3 mentioned was successful.
6. Check whether your RFC destination to the XI system is not changed recently like the service/CPIC user and its password.

"Use system proxy settings" Not working on Mac OS X Snow Leopard

When I change the network location or when I select "Use system proxy settings" on the connetion configuration dialog.
Firefox is not using the proxy defined on the loction set on Mac OS X Snow Leopard.
I usualy change from work to home, at work I've a proxy and at home I don't, and it's a bit annoying to have to change the proxy twice a day. So I tryed this feature, but It's not working for me.
I've tryed also with Firefox 3.6 (I think) and didn't work either.

I run it from eclipse, and on debug mode i checked the value of
java.library.path, and it was ok.
Any way, how can i do what you suggested on mac?It's just a command line argument, but there's no reason to add it if your
java.library.path is ok. One of its componenents must be a directory where
your shared lib is stored, that's all. BTW, the Mac is unix based isn't it?
Shouldn't it be an .so file then? (just a wild guess)

Cisco 871 NAT configuration not working

The problem is that NAT is not working for the "internal" network.
If i own the ip 10.0.0.15 for example and i try to reach x.x.x.x:65009 i will not work.
what's the problem?

No, the ranges are not the same. That is, they share the same B-class stats, but no C-class.
Incidentally, the extendable parameter is present in this ios version. When I change the parameter interface dialer0 to the ip address associated with the interface, extendable is addedd automatically. No joy however.
Today I'm going to try and downgrade the ios, another router with 12.4(4)T1 does have functional port mappings....

Dynamic configuration not working in Java mapping

I have a scenario where i am using java mapping. In this i am doing following
1)Read file name from input message header
2)set file name in output message Header
3) set Directory name in output message Header
i have used following code .. but iit is not working... when i test end to end... in reciver communication channel it is failing stating " message failed as "Directory is not set in Header. Also i checked in SXMB_MONI "dynamic configuration".It is not showing Directory.

You can simply remove declaring Map Para line... The eclipse gives warning because you dont assign values for it and you are trying to use...
For using the same input file name in output side, you dont need coding ... you need only for the directory...
Enable ASMA attributes in the channel.

Dynamic Configuration not working with Integrated Configuration

Dynamic Configuration works fine in PI 7.3 when Classical Configuration is used. However the same does not work using Integrated Configuration.
Scenario :
SOAP -->SOAP Synchronous scenario in PI 7.3 (Dual Stack).
Trying to save a value from Request mapping using dynamic configuration and use the same in response mapping.
UDF Code :
Request Mapping :

Java webstart proxy bypass not working

java webstart does not work through proxy as the jar files is not getting downloaded. most simple solution would of course be to bypass the proxy for the target server (by entering the server in the system network preference panel). however, that does not work. apparently this bypass is not taken into account by java webstart.
if i remember correctly there once was a possibility to set such things (proxy etc.) in java webstart preferences. this is not existing any more.
how can i solve the problem?

I have already checked SAP Note 1142580 - "Java Proxy is not processing messages in parallel" where they ask to modify the ejb-jar.xml. However, on performing the change in ejb-jar.xml and while building the EAR, I get the following error:
Error! The state of the source cache is INCONSISTENT for at least one of the request DCs. The build might produce incorrect results.
Then, on going through the SAP Note 1142580 again, I realised that the SAP Note 1230721 also should be looked onto which will be needed for generating the Java proxy from Message Interfaces in IR for parallel processing.
Kindly help me if any of you have worked on such a scenario.

Java Proxy Generation not working - Support for Parallel Processing

Hi Everyone,
As per SAP Note 1230721 - Java Proxy Generation - Support for Parallel Processing, when we generate a java proxy from an interface we are supposed to get 2 archives (one for serial processing and another suffixed with "PARALLEL" for parallel processing of jaav proxies in JPR).

We are on the correct patch level as per the Note, however when we generate java proxy from the IR for an outbound interface, it genrates only 1 zip archive (whose name we ourselves provide in the craete new archive section). This does not enable the parallel processsing of the messages in JPR.
Could you please help me in this issue, and guide as to how archives can be generated for parallel processing.

Local client copy profile SAP_CUSV: Configuration not working

Dear Experts,
My configuration client is 350 and my new client is 100 in same DEV system. Client 100 is copied from client 000 with profile SAP_ALL. Then I created a local copy from 350 using profile SAP_CUSV into same client 100. After that I am facing issues under HCM module. All the HCM configuration that works well in 350 does not work in client 100 even the standard header configuration of PA30 does not work. All the customizing entries are however present in HCM configuration tables but system seems not to read anything from HCM configuration. Apart from screen headers, the configuration done by consultant also has conflicts and system shows an error to maintain entries in tables which are already maintained and visible in configuration tables in 100. An example of error in which system gives error of maintaining Payscale Type and Payscale Area in table T510 is attached where as the entries are maintained in given table.
