Milestone Actual percentage capture

Hello Friends,
I have an typical scenario in milestone billing in my current project where our client are the alumunium extrusion industry and they manufacture the alumunium doors and windows as per the project they haven been awarded in bidding and the same as to be achieved in the given payment terms in the tenders policy. Here the material cost includes all the cost service and material Its as below
60% of the payment will be done when the materials (Alumunium doors, windows) will reach the project site
20% of the payment will be done for erection of these windows
10% of the payment on Glass fixing for windows and doors
5% on hardware fixing
5% on Handover of the project site
Here we are using the milestone billing thinking that this will meet our requirement where i have defined the 5 milestone as above for each activity and the problem is
When ever the material is not reached in full but partial then the percentage has to be based on the actual while confirming tat should be on the calculation on the milestone percentage if full it will be 60% or else we have to give the actual percentage where the invoice has to be done only on the basis of this actual one.
This is the same for all activity mentioned above
Now how to go with this how to capture the actual one in milestone on which the billing has to be raised and how to accommodate the remaining percentage for next billing in the same activity and can we go for project delivery
Kindly do the needful
Thanks and Regards,
Praveen B M

Hi  Praveen,
The same question has been asked by some other guy i think you guys are working on the same project.
You have two options and decide which one to use in your project.
1.Milestone Billing
2.Resource Related Billing
In case of milestone billing you will invoice your customer based on the % of the contract value and in case of RRB you will invoice your customer based on the Actual cost spent on the project.
So decide and implement the solution.

  • How can I enter actual percentage of completion in the WBS elements?

    Hi all !
I Can not enter Actual percentage of completion in WBS elements...!
I have followed these steps in Progress analysis:
1.- In the progress tab of WBS elements I have entered Measurement method ESTIMATION for
    progress analysis (Plan&Actual).
2.- In the WBS element I have estimated PLAN percentage of completion 100% in period 8
3.- In the progress tab of network activities, I used ESTIMATION method for Plan and WORK for actual
to calculate the percentage of completion.
4.- I have entered final network confirmations
    Actual Start date: 08.11.2014
    Actual Finish date: 08.15.2014
    Remaining work is cero.
5.- I run Project analysis to display measurement methods with transaction CNE1
and Progress analysis with transaction CNSE5
In Progress analysis the Processing % of work in Network activities is 100% but 0% in the WBS
    element
Adj.NAgg.Act. POC (Adjusted non-aggregated actual percentage of completion)is 100% in network activities
POC actual, non-agg.(Non-aggregated actual percentage of completion)is 100% in network activities.
    Does SAP calculates actual POC?
Should I manually enter Actual percentage of completion in the WBS elements?
I can not enter percent of completion (actual value) for WBS elements. The field is non editable !
    Please help !

    Hi Rafael,
I am facing the same problem.
I am using Plan method at activity : Time Proportional
Actual method at activity :  Work completion
At wbs level Plan and actual is Time proportional.
I am not identified how the "Adjusted non-aggregated actual percentage of completion" and
"Non-aggregated actual percentage of completion"  is calculated.
Please help me for the same.

    Pradeep

  • Auto release of Invoicing plan item when milestone actual date is entered

    Hi all,
I wonder if anyone can help me on this.  I have configured the system to automatically release an invoicing plan in a PO once the milestone attached to that invoicing plan is confirmed in the project by entering the actual date.  For some reason though, when trying to enter the invoice for this item in MIRO, the amount from the invoicing plan is not copied.  The amount only gets copied if you enter the PO in change mode after confirmation of milestone, display the invoice plan for each item then save before exitting.  It is only after this that the block on the item is removed.  Is this supposed to be so?  I would have thought immediately after confirmation of milestone by indication of actual date, the block on the invoicing plan will be immediately be removed so the invoice can immediately copy the amounts from the PO?  Any ideas how to achieve this?  (GR is not a part of the process).

    Hi,
Go through this link. Might be helpful.

  • Activity milestone actual date replacing schedule date

    Hi,
The last few years we have been using activity milestones. These milestones are offset from the early start date of the activity. We manually add the actual date and the schedule date would remain the same. We recently added some hot packs and now when the user puts in the actual date it also replaces the schedule date with the actual date. Reading throught some of the OSS notes it sounds like this is the way it works and the way it was working before the hot packs may have been wrong. I was just wondering if anyone really knows how the milestone schedule date and actual dates are suppose to work. We prefer that the schedule date remains the schedule date and not revert to the actual date. Any info would be appreciated.

SAP stated that once the actual date is input then the schedule date would change to the actual date. They said this is how it is suppose to work but if we wanted to leave the sched date alone then there was a note we could put in the system. We did this and it works like we want.

  • Capture process issue...archive log missing!!!!!

    Hi,
Oracle Streams capture process is alternating between INITIALIZING and DICTIONARY INITIALIZATION state and not proceeding after this state to capture updates made on table.
we have accidentally missing archivelogs and no backup archive logs.
Now I am going to recreate the capture process again.
How I can start the the capture process from new SCN ?
And Waht is the batter way to remove the archive log files from central server, because
    SCN used by capture processes?
    Thanks,
    Faziarain

Using dbms_Streams_Adm to add a capture, perform also a dbms_capture_adm.build. You will see in v$archived_log at the column dictionary_begin a 'yes', which means that the first_change# of this archivelog is first suitable SCN for starting capture.
'rman' is the prefered way in 10g+ to remove the archives as it is aware of streams constraints. If you can't use rman to purge the archives, then you need to check the min required SCN in your system by script and act accordingly.
Since 10g, I recommend to use rman, but nevertheless, here is the script I made in 9i in the old time were rman was eating the archives needed by Streams with appetite.
    #!/usr/bin/ksh
    # program : watch_arc.sh
    # purpose : check your archive directory and if actual percentage is > MAX_PERC

How to use this prg :
run this file from the crontab, say, each hour.
         example
         1) Delete archive that is sharing common arch disk, when you are at 85% of 2500 mega perform delete half of the files
whose extention is 'arc' using default affected file (default is -r 2)
         0,30 * * * * /usr/local/bin/watch_arc.sh -e arc -t /arc/POLDEV -s 2500 -p 85 -d -v /var/tmp/watch_arc.POLDEV.log
         2) Delete archive that is sharing common disk with oother DB in /archive, act when 90% of 140G, affect by deleting
a quater of all files (-r 4) whose extention is 'dbf' but connect before as sysdba in POLDEV db (-i) if they are
applied (-f is a dataguard option)
         watch_arc.sh -e dbf -t /archive/standby/CITSPRD -s 140000 -p 90 -d -f -i POLDEV -r 4 -v /tmp/watch_arc.POLDEV.log
         3) Delete archive of DB POLDEV when it reaches 75% affect 1/3 third of files, but connect in DB to check if
logminer do not need this archive (-z). this is usefull in 9iR2 when using Rman as rman do not support delete input
         in connection to Logminer.
         watch_arc.sh -e arc -t /archive/standby/CITSPRD  -p 75 -d -z -i POLDEV -r 3 -v /tmp/watch_arc.POLDEV.log

  • Milestones

    My Client Requires the follwoing:
    - Requires to plan Milestones on WBS elements. These Milestones are going to contain dates. Actuals must have already start being captured on this WBS, if not a message must notify the user that no actuals have been captured on this date as of yet.
How do I go about setting this up?

Create Z program which should check the basic dates and also the actual dates, and also send a mail to the applicant in the WBSE as you required.. Use applicant filed to maintain the person to whom the mail to be send.
also schedule this Z program in the back ground to run every day.

  • Not able to capture HD content from Sony HDR-HC3

I recently purchased Final Cut Express 4, after successfully using iMovie HD for the past year. I successfully captured some DV content (non-HD) from my Sony HDR-HC3 for a project. However, when trying to capture HD footage for a 2nd project, I'm not getting anything. Here's the info:
    * I made the change in "Easy Setup..." to set the format to HD using Apple Intermediate Codec 1080i60.
    * The footage was shot at 1080i on my HDR-HC3.
    * The camera is plugged in via FireWire.
    * When I choose "Capture", the the HDV Capture dialog comes up asking me for a file name. Once I give it a file name and click the Capture button, the tape starts playing and I get a black window with "Final Cut Express" in the middle (and the Apple logo). At the bottom, it says "CUEING TAPE (press 'esc' to stop)". When I press 'esc', the tape stops and the black capture window goes away.
    * I never see a preview in the capture window, but I see the footage fine in my camera's LCD screen.
    * A folder is created in the Capture Scratch folder, with the name I gave in the HDV Capture dialog, but nothing is ever written to this folder. It's empty.
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong...I just don't seem to be capturing any video...FCE is seeing my camera and is taking control (starting and stopping) but nothing is actually being captured.

Ok, I figured it out on my own. Operator error.
When I had captured non HD content using my camera, I had to set the iLink (FireWire) conversion to "On - HDV-->DV" in the camera in order for it to work. I forgot to set it back to "Off", so the camera was downconverting to DV when output through FireWire. Once I turned off the conversion, I was able to capture in HD.

When I set for batch capture by creating off-line clips using the "Log Clip" option the off-line clip shows audio as
32KHZ 16-bit  everyting else is correct as project settings.
Just prior to creating the off-line batch capture clip I had sucessfully captured from the same device using the same tape shot with the above settings including 48khz 16-bit audio by using standard " Capture" by setting in & out then clicking Capture>In/Out.
I've looked at capture settings etc...unable to determine to change audio settings etc or why the audio settings under batch capture do not conform to project settings...
    Any ideas?
    Tnx,
    mick

    Thanks for your reply, Harm....
Well now...having negated all the possibilities you listed, I decided to do a an actual batch capture with clips which I previously logged which reported audio at 32kHz instead of the project setting of 48kHz:
    1. two clips  were selected from the same device/tape ( both selected from the logging util which erroneously reported audio at 32kHz) for the batch
    2. both clips captured "flawlessly"
    3. both clips after the batch capture then reported audio as being 48kHz
Btw, I also did a batch capture from the same device/tape in Pr 6.x...and it reported and captured at 48khz...I must say, I must prefer the legacy version of Pr 6 for batch capture which creates a log .pbl file which can then be easily exported as a csv to and .xls etc..IMO, much more useful...and useable..
    Mi dos pesos(.002US)
So it would appear there is some kind of bug in the Pr cs4 batch capture util that is erroneously reporting audio settings?
Should this go to the devel as a possible bug?
    Tnx,
    mick

  • Sum of Total(LC) to be tally with Revenue captured in PLD

    Dear Expert,
Whenever we give Total Discount at AR Invoice Footer, the actual Revenue captured will be different as Total (LC), because the Total Discount will be deducted from each row equally.
How can we show the actual Unit Price and Total(LC) in AR Invoice PLD so that the sum of Total(LC) can be tally with the AR Invoice JE Revenue?
    Thanks.

  • Milestone Based Payment - Activation Steps

    Dear SAP PS Members
I am trying to execute a milestone based Payment process in SAP PS module for managing the Invoice to be paid in my company.
what I have understood up to now is it can be done using below steps  -
    1. Activity/Milestone Confirmation
    2. Milestones actual completion date to be adopted in Invoice plan in an external activity.
Somehow I am not able to copy the milestone dates in invoice date ....Can I Know Where I may be going wrong. are these milestones different from billing milestones , if yes what are options to do so , as from my basic research on this discussion i can see that people have done it.
Can anyone Guide me with Steps to do so - Whats the best way to go ahead with Milestones based payment in SAP PS ..as we look forward to go ahead with activity based confirmation to our contractors /vendors on Construction and engineering projects.
awaiting your responses and ideas ...
    Thanks Team ,
    Avinash Shelke

    Hi NAG,
I think the query is related to Milestone based Payments i.e. payments that will be done to the contractors or vendors based on Milestones (Purchase order involved here).
What you have mentioned speaks about Milestone Billing process related to Sales Orders.
@Avinash - Correct me if i am wrong.
I believe your requirement can be satisfied. Refer the link below,

  • Get first frame of video as a capture

Is there a way to get a single frame within a flash video and
save that image? This process needs to be automated as I will not
view every file that has been uploaded.
    Thanks

You can't get the actual video frame but you could try to
screen shot that frame and save the
image. It will require a server side portion to get it to
work, but its definitely possible using
    the BitmapData class.

  • Summarizing Formula Fields--Percentages

I have been losing my sanity trying to solve or find a work-around for a problem summarizing data in a cross tab report.
I have a report that consists of multiple crosstabs grouped by agency.  I have it worked out so that each agency has a one-page set of crosstabs that summarize three years of data from patient demographics to financial information...and it works beautifully.  Included in these crosstabs are summarized fields that are formulas to calculate percentages (for instance, the percentage of all patients who are uninsured). Since there is only one entry for each agency, by year, the "average" option works here and correctly displays the percentage.
However, in the report header of that same report, I am trying to reproduce the same one-page set of crosstabs FOR ALL AGENCIES.  Sort of a "Status of the Program."  The crosstabs work great for summarizing the basic fields and giving totals (sums) of all information.  The percentage forumulas, on the other hand, are a nightmare.  If I choose the "average" option in the summarized field, then I do get an average of all the programs percentages.  However, that average is NOT the average calculated if you take the total sums and divide them.  (For instance, taking the summary fields for total uninsured patients divided by the total patients DOES NOT give you the "average" calculated here).
Is there a solution for having both the summarized totals AND the actual percentages for the entire program displayed here on the report header.
Also, keep in mind that this needs to be easily updatable for each year once new data is available.
Suggestions?  Have I completely missed something here?

Okay, I tried that.  But now I get the same answer for all 3 years.
Also, the percentage is still not correct...not even close.
    An example:
This is what I had (in part...totals include partial 2008 data)
                                                               2006         2007          Total
    Total Uninsured                                   26,319      34,108        61,861
    Total All                                              70,844      79,951       155,468
    Average Percentage Uninsured              37.8%      39.8%          38.1%
    (sumamrized percent formula)
This is what this fix gave me:
                                                               2006         2007          Total
    Total Uninsured                                   26,319      34,108        61,861
    Total All                                              70,844      79,951       155,468
    Average Percentage Uninsured              71.9%      71.9%          38.1%
    (sumamrized percent formula)
