MIME type font/woff (Chrome)

Chrome's console is throwing the following message:  Resource interpreted as Font but transferred with MIME type font/woff: "http://themes.googleusercontent.com/static/fonts/lato/v6/KT3KS9Aol4WfR6Vas8kNcg.woff".
Any idea how may I fix that?

Hi Omar,
Did you check the FAQ of fonts.com, it seems to be a known issue with fonts.com

  • Woff web font MIME type

    Hi guys,
    It seems that the Adobe service isn't set up to properly serve the Woff font MIME type. In Chrome, a console error is given but it loads.
    In Firefox,  the font fails to load because of this issue.
    Could support add this feature please?
    Thanks,
    Rikki

  • MIME type issue in version 4.1/4.2 Compatibility Mode

    Problem: when displaying a PDF file, it displays OK as PDF if APEX 'Compatability Mode' = 'Pre 4.1', but displays as HTML when in either '4.1' or '4.2' mode.
    Apex: 4.2.2.00.11
    DB: 11gr2
    Web server: Apache on Linux
    More detailed description... this seems to be a MIME type issue related to APEX (or maybe DB) versioning.  The following code works as expected when run in 'Pre 4.1' mode - ie. it displays an appropriate PDF document in the appropriate Acrobat/other plugin in several browsers (Firefox/Opera/Chrome/IE).  But just by changing 'Compatability Mode' to '4.2' (or even '4.1'), it then downloads the file but displays it as a bunch of random characters, and the web page header MIME type is 'text/HTML'.
    Note: this also happens with other file types such as xls/doc/etc, but I expect fixing PDF should also fix these.
    I'm at a bit of a loss as to where this is happening, it seems there is a difference in the 'Compatibility Modes' between either the creating of the HTML header using 'OWA_UTIL.mime_header' or the component path it traverses before reaching apache.
    The only other thing I could think of is that we do a bit of redirection to display the PDF, though this seems like it might be a red herring.  Basically we use page 560 as a container, and then display the PDF with page 561 within a frame embeded within page 560.  So, on the page 560, which is the one we reference throughout the application, we have  a region with a source of '&lt;iframe src=?p=&APP_ID.:561:&SESSION.height="500" width="700"&gt&lt;/iframe&gt</pre>'.  Then on page 561, in a 'On Load - Before Header' process, we make the call to the code 'DOWNLOAD_APPLICANT_PDF' (below).
    Note: I did try calling 'apex_application.stop_apex_engine' after 'DOWNLOAD_APPLICANT_PDF', as suggested in a couple threads, but it didn't fix the problem, and caused a couple low-level system errors.
    Code:
    <pre>
      CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE DOWNLOAD_APPLICANT_PDF ( p_doc_id IN   NUMBER
       AS
          v_length      NUMBER;
          lob_loc       BLOB;
          l_display_inline   CHAR := '1';
       BEGIN
          SELECT pdf_data, DBMS_LOB.getlength (pdf_data)
            INTO lob_loc, v_length
            FROM pdf_dest
           WHERE pdf_dest_id = p_doc_id;
          OWA_UTIL.mime_header ('application/pdf', FALSE);
          HTP.p ('Content-length: ' || v_length);
          HTP.p ('Content-Disposition:inline;filename="mydoc.pdf"');
          OWA_UTIL.http_header_close;
          WPG_DOCLOAD.download_file (lob_loc);
    END;
    </pre>

    Hi,
    for some background information about the above changed behavior, have a look at 4.2 Before Header Processes and Browser Security HTTP Headers of the APEX 4.1. release notes.

  • Mime type note set for css with wwv_flow_file_mgr.get_file

    Hello,
    We have an apex application over here that has problems with the mime type of a theme (css) file. The css file works correctly in IE but not in FF or Chrome (because IE check the file extension, but FF seems not do not ..).
    This is the call that is failing
    <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="wwv_flow_file_mgr.get_file?p_security_group_id=33490830277084435&p_fname=theme_3_1.css" />
    in the FF error console it complains about the file being of application/octet-stream instead of text/css and therefore it will not load it.
    I have created a simple local .htm file with
    <html>
    <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="http://xxx.xxx.xx/pls/htmldb/wwv_flow_file_mgr.get_file?p_security_group_id=33490830277084435&p_fname=theme_3_1.css" />
    </html>
    And it loads the file (even though it says it is still application/octet-stream) in FF, but it will not do the same if called from Apex.
    I'm kind of lost here, so any ideas where to look for an explanation/fix ? (Yes, we have the AddType text/css .css in the httpd.conf)
    regards.

    Hi UserXY,
    what connectivity module do you use (Oracle HTTP Server, Embedded PL/SQL Gateway, APEX Listener)?
    Which Browser did you use to upload the css-File?
    I don't know why this happend in your case, but you could try a different browser to upload the file again.
    brgds,
    Peter

  • The content type for office excel 2007 in jsp page and the mime-type in  we

    Hi,
    In my system MS Office 2007 is installed. I am trying to generating excel sheets from JSP page by setting the content type "application/vnd.ms-excel" in jsp page and as well as in web.xml file. I am getting the below message
    The file you are trying to open, 'xxxxxxxx.xls', is in a different format than specified by the file extension. Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file. Do you want to open the file now?
    Then finally the excel file is opening and displaying properly. If in my system MS Office 2003 is installed , then the above message is not coming.
    I have changed the content type according to Excel 2007 <%@ page contentType= "application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.spreadsheetml.sheet" %> and in web.xml file the mime type to
    <mime-mapping>
    <extension>xlsx</extension>
    <mime-type>application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.spreadsheetml.sheet</mime-type>
    </mime-mapping>
    even the content type is changed according to office excel 2007 , i am getting the same above message.
    My client is asking not to display the above message. So how to prevent that message ?
    It's very great if any body reply me as soon as possible.

  • IIS and Inherited/Local MIME Types

    Alright guys I've spent a good 3 hours this morning finding out why images/css wouldn't work in a proof of concept environment with Server 2012/SQL 2014. My application has been far from easy to get working. I have 3 environments that have MIME type .woff set to local and my new one is using inherited. (I had to remove the entry in the web.config for this to pull properly via browser.) I was wondering how I can get this one set to local as well but it's currently only working with inherited without the web.config entry of: Just trying to make all environments consistent so when I do deploy new builds I avoid any unneeded complications. Thanks in advance for the assistance!

  • How can I use one Add-on prior to another for specific MIME-types?

    I'm using Shockwave Flash plugin to watch some videos on YouTube, StreamCloud, etc. It also handles .mkv and .mp4 files/streams. After installing VLC Web plugin to handle MIME-types like mp3/4, mkv additionally and prior to the Flash plugin, Firefox keeps using Flash to handle those types insted. I cannot find options to set the desired priorities. Only disabling the Flash plugin solves my problem, but also keeps me from watching Flash contents, which Is not acceptable.
    Did I miss something or is this Firefox's fault?

    If you type or paste '''about:plugins''' in the address bar and press Enter, you can see which plugins are associated which various content types.
    I do not know how to prioritize one over the other for the same content type if the plugin settings (plugins often have an interface outside of Firefox to adjust their settings) do not allow that.
    As for MP4, I don't think Flash normally would be selected. I suspect the website is specifying a Flash media player and streaming the MP4 through that. If you want to hide the Flash plugin from a particular website, you can use the Permissions tab of the Page Info dialog.
    Click the padlock or globe icon in the address bar, then More Information, then Permissions. The top section of the Permissions panel should be "Activate Plugins". Here you can select Block for Flash for the current site. After reloading the page, does the media play using a different plugin?

  • Open type font "Myriad Pro" support in Java AWT

    Hi
    I have installed open type font "Myriad Pro" on my machine.
    When I use the following AWT APIs on jre 1.6, I dont get the open type font "Myriad Pro" in the font list.
    Code snippet
    java.awt.GraphicsEnvironment     ge = GraphicsEnvironment.getLocalGraphicsEnvironment();
    if (ge != null) {
         java.awt.Font[] fontList = ge.getAllFonts();
    The fontList variable doesnt have "Myriad Pro" font.
    My question is
    1) Is the open type font "Myriad Pro" supported by java AWT?
    2) Is there a workaround to get that particular font?
    Thanks
    Vikas

    When I print out the list of all the fonts java recognizes on my machine, all the otf fonts (about 70 of them) are missing including Myriad Pro. All the true type fonts show up. You might need to convert the Myriad Pro into a true type font to get it recognized in java.

  • Unable to launch application from my machine:Bad MIME Type

    Hi,
    The following error message was printed when I tried to access the SwingSet2 demo from the Java Web Start site.
    An error occurred while launching/running the application.
    Title: SwingSet2
    Vendor: Sun Microsystems, Inc.
    Category: Download Error
    Bad MIME type returned from server when accessing resource: http://java.sun.com/products/javawebstart/apps/SwingSet2.jnlp - text/html
    Can you please suggest what is to be done to rectufy this problem?
    Regards,
    Satish

    Bad MIME type returned from server when accessing
    resource:
    http://java.sun.com/products/javawebstart/apps/SwingSet
    .jnlp - text/htmlit should return application/x-java-jnlp-file.
    My guess is that you use proxy which messes up headers.
    Otherwise try to reinstall Web Start, then enable the console and log output in Web Start's advanced preferences to get more clues what's going on.

  • How to change default application associated with some mime types?

    When we install some new program, for example GIMP, I assume the newly installed program is added to some mime type database, and the /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache file is automatically generated.
    Using my example, GIMP will be the default application for all its registered mime types, even application/pdf. I surely don't want this to happen, and I surely don't want to create all kinds of files that GIMP registered and right click on them and choose Properties and then change it in the Open with... tab. I want to systematically de-prioritize GIMP so that it will not override my previously assigned default applications.
    I wrote a script to modify the mimeinfo.cache file, and it seems to work great. However, after a reboot or upgrade or something I didn't notice, the default application of application/pdf is reconfigured to GIMP. I think the cache suffix of the file indicates that it is just a cache and may be changed by system unnoticed. So I am looking for a new way to change the default applications.
    As far as I know or guess from the phenomena, there should be some system utility that generates the mimeinfo.cache file, it seems to parse all the *.desktop files under /usr/share/applications and register them to certain mime types accordingly. The sequence of the *.desktop files get parsed seems to be related to the time the application is installed, and the newly installed applications seems to be parsed later and inserted in the front of the application list or be parsed earlier and appended to the application list. Is there some place I can change the sequence of the parsing? Or is there some place I can change the behavior of the system utility?
    I know that I can populate my ~/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list to override the system wide defaults, however, I want a more elegant way to this.
    Any opinion on this is welcomed.

    Ah, right. Don't know what DE you are on, but in Gnome:  right-click a (e.g. pdf) file -> Preferences -> Open with.
    All Applications listed there will be available from the right click menu, the marked one will be used on double-click.
    errgrh...

    I guess what I am trying to propose is this: "de-prioritize" GIMP in its .dekstop file for the types you dont want it to be associated with, and manually add it back in through "Open With" for the file types you want it to be an option. Not sure if this is solving anything for you though

  • File/Open Dialog Box / Setting MIME type

    In my application, I am calling a web service that returns text that I need to download into an EDI application. I am simply looking to have an open/file dialog box open when the text is returned. I was using the following code in a PL/SQL process:
    begin
    -- Set the MIME type
    owa_util.mime_header( 'application/octet', FALSE );
    -- Set the name of the file
    htp.p('Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="EDIOuput.edi"');
    -- Close the HTTP Header
    owa_util.http_header_close;
    end;
    The problem is the HTML code that comes along with the text that is returned. Is there a way to simple call the procedure on a page that only containes the raw data?
    Thank you.

    HTML doesn't provide you the possibility to select multiple files or select folders at a single browse. Thus JSF can't do any much for you. Best what you can do is to write a signed applet or web start application which does the task. The Mojarra Scales component library has a ready-to-use component which embeds an applet which does that task. Check [https://scales.dev.java.net/multiFileUpload.html].

  • My Publisher plugin Open Type Fonts DON'T PRINT iPhoto 6.0.5 (316)

    I want to post this problem in the hopes it will save some other people the 7 months of frustration I have gone through with My Publisher.
    Apparently, My Publisher is unable to print Open Type fonts. After 7 months of editing and re-editing photos, scanning and re-scanning photos, and placing 13 different orders, someone at My Publisher finally called me to help with the problem. The phone call came after I had emailed Walt Mossberg of the WJS about their total lack of customer service!
    After every order I placed, for the same book, was cancelled, I received the exact same form email, which said I have a corrupt photo file/.jpg and I should fix it. I kept telling them that the Mac and iPhoto don't send them any .jpgs, only a PDF file. No matter what I told them, I got the same email in reply—I have a corrupt .jpg.
    Once they decided to help me (after almost 7 months), we were able to narrow down the problem within a week. They had me produce the same book on a PC, which I was unable to do because they only have about 4 templates and 6 fonts to choose from and are nothing like iPhoto. I made a book and just randomly inserted all the photos, no text. The book printed fine, proving to My Publisher that there was nothing wrong with any of my .jpgs.
    I questioned My Publisher as to why the PC was limited to 6 fonts and were they installed with their BookMaker software and they said "Yes." This led me to believe my problem was with the fonts and they agreed. After talking to them further about fonts, they said they had trouble printing Post Script fonts, but they had printed several books for me that used Post Script fonts. The culprit turned out to be an Open Type font. Once I changed the Open Type font to the True Type version, the book printed perfectly. I don't know if this problem was limited to only this particular font or all Open Type fonts.
    I have asked My Publisher to pursue this problem and post information about it on their website so other people don't have to go through all this frustration.
    Other than this problem, I have been very happy with all the books I have received from My Publisher. The quality has been excellent. The color is a bit off in a few photos some of the time, but for the most part, the color is quite accurately reproduced, at least to my eye. Hot pinkish/purple colors seem to pose a problem.

    Thanks again.

  • How To Get FileType and MIME Type from a File

    Hi,
    I am using following ways to get FileType and MIME Type.
    I am able to get file type, but I am getting MIME Type as */*
    Can any one please let me know how to get MIME Type, but it should not be time consuming process.
    For File Type I am using following Code:
    private String getFileData(InputStream inStream) {
    fileName = C:\temp\temp.tiff
    String filePath = Util.createTempFile(fileName);
    RandomAccessFile raf = new RandomAccessFile(filePath, "rw");
    while (inStream.available() > 0) {
         byte[] buf = new byte[inStream.available()];
         inStream.read(buf);
         raf.write(buf);
    inStream.close();
    raf.close();
    File file = new File(filePath);
    JFileChooser chooser = new JFileChooser();
    String fileType = chooser.getTypeDescription(file);
    file.delete();
    //MIME Type I am getting from
    DataHandler data = new DataHandler(new DocumentSource(inStream));
    data.getContentType();
    data.getContentType() is not working well in all cases.
    Can any one help me on this.
    Thanks in advance,

  • How to print true type font in smartform with ECC6

    hi,expert:
    I want to use true type font "Comic Sans MS.ttf".
    I upload this font file by SE73 named ZTT2I.
    In SE73.. select the Radio button "Font Families" And click on the "True type Font Installation" button. click the font attribute ITALIC。
    Our print device is LP01 and driver is CNSAPWIN
    when I create a new style in smartform using the font ZTT, in preview window the font still like other font.
    Our system is IDES ECC6, SAP_BASIS SAPKB70014
    Now when I create smartfrom in language EN adn logon with language EN,it can print correct style of that font.
    But if the smartform is base on language ZH or logon with language ZH, the output is not correct.
    why? How to solve it?
    how can I solve this problem?
    thaks a lot

    Hi,
    Is the problem that uploaded true type font ZTT is not used when language is ZH? Did you update the chinese version of the style associated with the smartform? There is a separate style for each language version. So you need to log on in Chinese language and update the style with new paragraph, character formats. Then you need to activate the style and smartform for ZH langauge also.
