Min amt to be set for creation of asset

Dear SAP Experts,
We have a requirment (for creation of asset minimum amount of 1000/- is required if the asset is having useful life if more than 1 year). That is the starting point of 1000/ to be set if the asset useful life is more that 1 year...Can this be possible in standard SAP ???
Eg: If any amt less than 1000 say 800 is posted to that asset then system should throw error....for all asset whose useful life is more that 1 year

Franky speaking this is process control... Your business should have a policy where in the request to create an asset is reviewed by Finance and approved only if the Value/usful life is as you mentioned
Though you can use Validation exit to check A useful life life of less than 1 yr not being entered in the Asset Master while creation, I would not recommend this.... The best way is "Discipline" for such things
For Amount also you can set up a validation in OB28 that If Doc Type = AA, the amount (DMBTR) should not be less than 1000

Hello,
I have created a ECATT for master data uploading. This created a request number. Now when I am trying to create a BC set using tcode SCPR3 and attaching the above created request it is giving me the following error:-
Message Number: S_CUS_IMG_ACTIVITY230
Diagnosis
Logical object ECAT is a lockable (TADIR-mandatory) object.
System Response
Lockable objects cannot be included in BC sets because, during the activation process, an entry would have to be written in the catalog of repository objects (table TADIR). However, this is not possible with BC sets.
Procedure
The object cannot be used in BC sets.
Kindly guide me as to how do i resolve this error and attach my Ecatt request in the BC set.

Procedure
Aassign existing preconfiguration, transactions or rReports
1.      Go to the structure element to which you want to assign preconfiguration, in the project structure.
2.      Choose BC Set, CATT, eCATT Test Configuration, Transaction, Program or Add-On Transport Request, in the Type column.
3.      If it is not a process step, enter a component from the possible entries help in the Component field.
4.      Make an entry in the Object column, or choose from the possible entries help for the Object field.
5.      Save your entries.
Assign IMG objects
1.      Go to the structure element in the reference structure to which you want to assign an IMG object.
2.      Choose IMG Object in the Type field.
3.      If it is not a process step, enter a component from the possible entries help in the Component field.
4.      Call the possible entries help for the Object field. You go to the Implementation Guide (IMG) of the selected component system.
5.      Choose one or more IMG object nodes and choose Select.
6.      Choose Copy Selected Nodes.
You have now assigned an IMG object to a structure element.The system goes back to the Configuration tab and fills in the Object and Description columns.
Create and assign preconfiguration
1.      Go to the structure element to which you want to assign preconfiguration, in the project structure.
2.      Choose a Type.
3.      To create a new BC Set, CATT or eCATT test configuration from the Configuration tab, enter a name in the Object field and choose Create.
4.      You go to one of the following transactions, depending on the object type:
     BC Set: BC Set Maintenance
     eCATT Test Configuration: Test Configuration (eCATT tool)
     CATT: Change test case.
5.      Enter the data required to create a new BC Set, eCATT test configuration or CATT.

Standard New button for creation of bp is not appeared in ic agent bp role's main page.

I have checked in.htm page of ICCMP_BP_MUL_S/BuPaSearchB2B which is getting called in web.
in line no. 45 of .htm page there is condition to check whether new button should be displayed or not, when this condition is true no_bp_create is initial then only new button appears in ic agent.
I have debugged so many times but unable to find out from where no_bp_create flag is populated and in conclusion new button is not appeared .
I think there is some authorization which should be assigned to user for creation of bp so that above said flag (no_bp_create) is not getting populated.
if i am on right track so please let me know which authorization is to be assigned to user so that user can see new button in ic_agent.

The parameter no_bp_create is being set in the do_init_context method of the view controller class of same view but the value is being fetched using a badi.
The authorization to create BP can be enabled by implementing the BADI BADI_CRM_BP_UIU_AUTHORITY (or enhancement spot CRM_UIU_BP_ENHANCEMENT).
Users can be authorized to create/edit data for different UI components using this badi.
In this badi put the condition for the application name may be as (based on your scenario or explore more) cl_crm_ic_bp_constants=>gc_bp_create OR OR cl_crm_ic_bp_constants=>gc_bp_edit and set the value of parameter cv_not_allowed = abap_false. Then you should be able to see the New button.

Procedure of creation of DSO in BI7 :
1.Select the InfoArea to which the new DSO object is to be assigned, or create a new InfoArea. Choose Modeling--> InfoProvider --> Create InfoArea.
2.Choose Create DSO Object in the context menu for the InfoArea.
3.Specify a name and a description for the DSO object, and choose Create.
If you want to create a copy of an existing DSO object, specify the DSO object that you want to use as a template.
You get to the DSO object maintenance screen.
4. Transferring InfoObjects:
On the left side of the screen, there are various templates to choose from, which allow you to get a better overview in relation to a particular task. For performance reasons, the default setting here is an empty template. Using the pushbuttons, select an InfoSource (only the InfoObjects for the communication structure of the InfoSource are displayed), an InfoCube, an DSO object, or an InfoObject catalog.
On the right side of the screen you define the DSO object. Using the Drag&Drop function, assign the InfoObjects in the key fields and in the data fields. It is possible to select several InfoObjects at once. The system assigns navigation attributes automatically. These navigation attributes can be switched on for reporting in BEx.

Restricting for creation or PO for material with other purchase group

We have one requirement we want to restrict the user for creation of purchase order for the materials which is not in there purchasing group
on ME21N in order data we enter the Pur. Group e,g 101 and if user enter the material XYZ for which the purchasing group is 102 system should issue the error message for this, so what setting can be done for this

the purchasing group in material master is just a default for requisitions that are created via MRP.
user can enter whatever purchasing group they want in a requisition if they create one manually.
the buyer usually looks in his worklist e.g. in ME57 by selection all requisitions that are assigned to him.
However, if the buyer 101 is the holiday replacement to 102, then the general concept allows that buyer 101 can pull the requisitions of buyer 102 and change the purchasing group to 101 in the PO.
If you dont want that, then restrict authorization based on object M_BANF_EKG (purchasing group in requisition)

Creating a NetInstall Set for '10 MacBook

I am attempting to create a NetInstall set for a brand new Intel MacBook running 10.6. I have used Bombich's NetRestore Helper in the past for set creations but the last version (3.4.6) hangs and will never complete the set creation. Is there any other way to create a set for a 10.6 machine? I've looked into Deploy Studio but I don't have anything set up yet and I'd like to continue with my current setup for the time being. I'm running 10.5.8 server and all other machine types boot fine for NetInstall purposes. Just the newest machines have trouble. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Last I heard, Bombich's tool didn't work in SnowLeopard. You can use Apple's System Image Utility, but you'll have to download the 10.6.3 Server Admin Tools and install in on a Snow Leopard client system.

Recovery Disc Creator does not list any discs for creation

Brand new NB200-10G (this a UK model). When I run TOSHIBA Recovery Disc Creator it does not show any discs for creation and the CREATE option is greyed out so I cannot create the discs. Now... when I first got it I did not have a USB DVD writer with me but I ran RDC out of curiosity to see the devices it might offer. At that time it DID list discs to be created but I cancelled out. I get the impression the program thinks it has created the discs and I believe I read somewhere that it will not create the discs more than once. I think it must have set a switch in the registry or .ini files somewhere to indicate that the discs have been created. If so does anyone know how to "undo" this? Drive D (data) and hidden partition *appear* to be intact.
If this is not possible then I guess I could try the "press key 0 at power up" method to restore to original install setting and this might then enable me to create the discs but I'm concerned that if the restore fails in a destructive way that I might be left without a working PC. TIA Ken

OK all fixed!
Restore using key 0 at power up worked fine and cured the ToRDC problem. It then let me produce 2 copies of the restore DVD. Don't know what caused the problem... issue CLOSED.

Multi Monitor - different Screeen Saver for different monitor - Setting for notebook computers...

I have a question about the multi monitor, screen saver setting for Windows 7. I'd like to know 2 questions.
1.) if I can set different screen saver settings on different monitors
2.) If I can do it, can I work on the external (or non-primay) monitor, when I have the primary monitor with "blank" screen saver?
Basically, I put my notebook computer at the docking station at work, and the docking station is connected to a 22" monitor, desktop keyboard and mouse. So, at work, the 22" monitor and K/B would be my primary use. However, I still "flip"
open the notebook monitor for dual monitor use.
I'd like to "save" the notebook monitor when I don't use it for 30 min. or so... I'd like to "power" it off or set it so that it would only turn on if I move my mouse to that screen.
Is there a way to do it?

There isn't any way to do what you are describing.
The reason is that both monitors have the same source for the video. You can extend the video to the second monitor, but this just gives you more screen space.
The screen saver will only display on the monitor that is set as the default and when the screen saver starts, the other monitor will be blank.

BOM validity for creation of PO

hello guys,
have a question because there is a situation in our plant that there is a production order was started at around 19:52:02 on 01.04.2008, but there where a user change the material BoM of the metreial used in that PO at around 12:23:52 on 01.04.2008, the changes made was the material BOM was set for deletion and ing status inactive. Could this PO was not valid because the material that was used was deleted/inactive already prior to its creation?

So those material component of the finished goods material will be deleted and will not be include in any goods movement? But a PO would still be made for the Finished product/parent material?
