Minimum Freight Commitment - ECC 6.0 Transportation

Dear all,
We are implementing ECC 6.0 Transportation for one of our clients and are facing the following problems. Requesting you for any suggestions to handle these. :
1) Our customer gives minimum commitments to its transporters in terms of the freight they would be paid per truck. E.G. A truck can carry 20 Ton. Minimum Commitment is 15 To. Freight rate is 100 Rs / Ton. Even if a truck is deployed for less than 15 tons the transporter would be liable for 1500 INR.  If it is given more than 15 Tons, the freight payable would be weight*rate. How can this be implemented in SAP. I tried using condition exclusion but am unable to use it for a reason that is too elaborative for me to specify on this forum. Is there anything else I can do ?
2) Is there a standard provision\ feature for calculating the penalties like transit delay (transporter takes more time then agreed to delivery the goods), Transit loss etc.
3) I saw there are lists available for check in (VT16)and shipment completion statuses in Transportation. Can such lists be made for other statuses too ?
Thanks in anticipation

HI,
BASIS should be able to help you on this, but recommended is to keep your ECC system and BW system at same patch level.
And individually keep BW patch level at one less then the most recent released by SAP.

Akshay

    Dear Friends,
Kindly tell me how the System Calculate  the Statistics-relevant delivery date and Committed date in Stock Transport Order.

    Hi Jürgen,
in the Include MM06EFET_ETT_FUELLEN there is following coding:
    IF NOT im_sd_scheduling IS INITIAL.
            PERFORM ett_sd_scheduling USING 'X' 'X' eket *eket
                                      CHANGING eketdata_sd.
    In the FORM ETT_SD_SCHEDULING
    there is the following coding:
Datum oder Uhrzeit geändert --> Versandterminierungsdaten zurücksetzen
      CLEAR c_eketdata_sd.
    Lieferdatum und Uhrzeit setzen
      c_eketdata_sd-eindt = i_eketn-eindt.
      c_eketdata_sd-uzeit = i_eketn-uzeit.
So the internal table c_eketdata_sd is cleared and only the delivery date and time are updated, but not the statistc relevant date.
It seems to me like standard behaviour of SAP.
    Best regards

  • Commitment Item in Stock Transport Order

    Hi,
We are planning to carry out a intercompany sales using a stock transport PO.
My problem is when a STO is created Account assignment tab in the item overview is not visible because of which i am not able to enter the commitment item for the material.
I have tried activating the BADI : ME_COMMITMENT_STO_CH.
I have used the sample coding given in the method.
But still i face the same problem.
How do we get this commitment item field in STO of is there some other way by which this issue can be handled.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi Arokianathan,
I understand you are trying to put account assignment category like 'K' in transaction ME21N for creation of an intercompany STO.
You have two choices 1) Use transaction ME21 (old) and not ME21N
    2) In transaction ME21N , use type of order as Return PO , this will remove the greying in the account assignment category field, you can now put in your value like K etc ... Afterwards  you have to goto tothe top and again select document type as Intercompany STO.
Ones you fill in the material number and other details the account assignment tab page would automatically appear in the sub item level.
    Hope this helps..

  • ECC 6.04 transport objects to ECC 6.05

    Hi Experts,
My apology in advance if I posted it in the wrong category.
I'd like to know if its possible to transport objects from ECC 6.0 eh4 to ECC 6.0 ehp5?
    Cheers,
    R-jay

    Dear R-Jay,
I'll try to explain things with some examples.
SAP objects may not be transported between different releases (e.g. a table in an old release could have less fields than in the newer release and thus such a transport might delete data or if an abap calls a function module and both have in the new release one parameter more, then you get syntax errors if you transport only one of them from
a system with the old release, ...).
So data loss and severe inconsistencies can happen if you transport SAP objects between different releases, or between systems with same release but different support package level or between systems with different addons or different add-on versions...
For pure customer objects (e.g. Z-tables, Z-programs, Y-tables, Y-programs or objects in customer namespace) it might be ok to transport them. But if, for example, your Z-table uses an SAP data element which has maybe been changed in the new release or does maybe no longer exist, you can also get problems during transport of your Z-table.
Therefore, if you decide to transport objects between your SAP ECC 6.0 ehp4 and the ehp5 you must be really carefull because several inconsistences may arise. Anyhow, from a technical point of view this transports should be handled as normal transports.
I hope above information would help.

  • ECC 60 Stock Transport Order delivery schedules

Before going on a very extensive development effort in 470 , we are looking for confirmation that in ECC 60 , SAP provides for multiple schedule line commitments to a stock transport purchase order. This implies a change to atp with stos and possibly a change to the EKET table of schedule lines. We would like to know if anyone using mySAPERP 2005 has experience with this new function.

Found the functionality within the upgraded system. Seems to not apply to the md04 display so difficult to use.

  • Minimum supported NW/ECC release (SNC)

    Hi SAP PM,
i have a customer who likes to setup SAP SSO for his older SAP landscape. Can you please let me know, if the following ECC versions are supported by the SAP CommonCryptoLib/SecureLoginLibrary:
    ECC 6.00 (ERP)
    ECC 6.03 (ERP)
    ECC 6.06 (HCM)
    ECC 6.17 (ERP)
The SAP SSO PAM says 4.6c, 6.20, 6.40 and 7.x+. Just want to make sure, if this was ever tested or is anyhow supported by SAP.
    Thanks for your answer.
    Regards,
    Carsten

    Hello Carsten,
Actually ECC versions are different from SAP ABAP Applications Server Versions and I mixed by mistake the SAP ABAP Applications Server Versions mentioned in PAM (SAP SSO 2.0 SP03) with ECC.
    SAP ERP 6.0 (including ECC) runs on NW 7.01, 7.02, 7.03, 7.3, 7.31, 7.4
Secure Login Library supports these NW versions, so the ECC versions mentioned by you are also supported because they run on these NW versions.
    Sorry for this misunderstanding!

  • How to Add Freight to a stock transport order?

We have 2 plants on opposite coasts.
When we transfer goods from one plant to the other, we would like to add the cost of the freight to the inventory valuation in the new plant.
    How can we do this?

    > 1) U have to use Stock transport purchase orders.
    We are currently doing this.
    > 2) include the freight conditions in the stock transport pricing procedure .
I see in SPRO --> Materials Management --> Purchasing --> Purchase Order --> Set up Stock Transport Order --> Assign Delivery Type and Checking Rule, that we are using delivery type ZNL for PO Type UB.
I also see in SPRO --> Logistics Execution --> Shipping --> Basic Shipping Functions --> Pricing --> Define Pricing Procedures for Delivery, that delivery type ZNL has no pricing procedure assigned to it.
Am I looking in the right place?
    > 3) assign the pricing procedure to the schemas...
    > 4) in the stock transport purchase order maintain the
    > freight values against the freight condition
    > 5) during goods receipt the freight cost is posted to
    > the inventory in the receiving plant.

  • How to Save/Transport Crystal Reports 2013 reports in ECC (not BW)

    Hi,
we are using Crystal Report 2013 and have reports which are based on ALV´s and SAP Tables directly.
I want to know if it´s possible to save the reports directly in the ECC system, with transport connection etc. and maybe the possibility to translate the reports later in another language.
I know the way when we have reports based on a BW system, there it is really easy and integrated.
But in this case we are on a normal ECC System, not a BW Enviroment.
At the moment we have the report rpt files locally.
Has someone already done this and or knows a tutorial what steps are to do? (connection, package, roles)
    Kindly regards

  • Automatic Freight price on Sales Order with minimum total freight for order

    Hi,
I am stuck trying to solve a freight pricing scenario on sales orders and I was hoping that someone might have seen this problem before. There are a number of basic requirements:
    1. The freight should be calculated automatically.
    2. The freight should be based on weight and shipping condition.
    3. The total freight of the order should be minimum X Euro.
The problem we have is to try combining these three requirements since access sequences and condition records are not used on header conditions. The first 2 should be possibe to solve using a copy of standard item freight condition KF00 and creating a new access sequence including shipping condition. However, when including the last requirement we must see to the freight price of the complete Sales order and the system must automatically if the total reaches the minimum level.
For example, say that we have a sales order with 2 items and the minimum freight for a total order should be 10 Euro. Based on weight and shipping condition the system automatically finds condition records giving item 1 a freight price of 2 Euro and item 2, 3 Euro -> giving us a total freight of 5 Euro.
The system should see that the total freight of the 2 items does not reach the minimum freight price and automatically use the minimum price instead.
I have been looking at the possibility to use 2 separate condition types (since the minimum should be a fixed price), or maybe it is possible to solve this through a user exit somehow? Has anyone seen this type of problem before?
Any input and thoughts would be highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    /Dan

    Hi Dan
For the 1st  query , maintain access sequence and assign it to the condition type and maintain condition record for that freight condition type
For your 2nd query , in V/06 change the calculation type of the freight condition type to gross weight /Net weight
But as  issue is concerned   in VK12 maintain minimum & maximum values. So if the Minimum value reaches then only the condition type triggers
So in your pricing procedure say you have a 2 freight condition types of  ZXXX & YXXX . So assign minimum & maximum order values in VK12 for ZXXX condition type . And if its maximum value exceeds then YXXX condition type should trigger.

  • STO with freight--to beloaded on material at GR--Critical

    Hi,
    Scenario:Cross company stock transport
Goods are transfered from plants A to B.
PO in B with freight condition FRB1 is to be created.
    Goods issued against this PO.
Goods are received in th B plant.
B comes to know the EXACT freight costs ( clearing charges, customs transportation etc) only after goods reach to B, so he wants to enter/modify the EXACT cost at the time of GR ie to load this cost on material.
But once GI is done, system does not allow to change/add the conditions in PO.
How this can be handled so to have delivery costs loaded on material at the time of GR in plant B?
This question has been raised by me earlier also but yet to find out any conclusive suggestion. This is very critical for me.
PLEASE suggest how this type of requirement is mapped.I am sure this is a very commonly followed process in any industry and in SAP must be mapped.
    Thanks in Advance
    Regards,
    manOO

    Hi Sairam,
    Thanks for the feedback.
In my case the exact delivery costs are only known when the goods reach the destination.
I can put some prefixed value as the delivery cost. But once I issue the goods vide delivery created, I can not alter the freight costs.
In most of the cases, it will be very difficult to put the exact costs in PO and that is the problem.
How this can be handled then ?
Is there any way by means of which we can have conditions in Inbound delivery by means of which I can create a Inbound delivery and put the exact conditions there ..
    Please suggest a another approach.
    Thanks in advance

  • Freight contract

We capture Freight as a pricing condition in PO where we can specify the transporter also separately along with the supplier of goods.
My client have contracts with the transport company to bring goods from the vendors and ports.
Though We are able to capture the freight cost by specifying the transporter in the PO, the issue is client want to have the freight contract mainatined in the system. And system should updates the freight contracts as it do in the case of material contracts  when the Po is made.
I made a freight contract by using item category D.
I specified this transport vendor no in the condition type. I did MIGO and MIRO, but system didnot updated this freight contract.
Is there any link that we can establish between PO freight and the freight contract?
There are so many contracts with transport companies that the client want to track them in system.

    hi,
    workaround
    prerequisite:
    1)create Frieght as a service through AC03 t-code
    Scenario :
u can do it by creating a service order by item category as D (blancket PO)and lumpsome qty and value.
Now whenever u recieve goods u have to goto ML81N and create a service entry sheet.that will be updated in ur PO.
    Or else
explore the transportation module in SAP

  • Scenario on Purchasing Process - Freight Charges to Different Vendor

    Hi Experts,
We have a business scenario here that we want to implement on the MM - Purchasing Process.
My Client's industry is on Selling Mixed Concrete. Every time they make Contract with Scheduling Agreements, for Raw Materials like Cement 20MM or DUST, on each available Plant from a partner company on a different location. Some of the Location are not inside the country as well.
When we do Scheduling Agreement, we do a blank quantity for example, 30,000 for 20MM on Plant A and 10,000 for 20MM on Plant B. During the creation of Schedule Lines, we key in differect schedules of delivery (incl PGR). Then by the end of the Period, we create a Vendor Invoice.
However on some delivery item, we have a scenario where from a specific Vendor A, we have a Vendor B that delivers our Materials to our Plant (Transporter Vendor). So we have to create another Invoice for them. We have to have 1 Invoice for the Supplier and 1 Invoice for the Transporter Vendor.
I understand that SAP can do 2 Vendor assignment on PO, 1 for Material Goods and 1 for Freight Charge. The Amount will sum up per Ordered Item and during PGI, the Material Cost will be based on this amount. I'm okay with the first statement but the summed amount is not okay with some scenarios.
The problem with some scenarios is that we should not base the Freight Charge on the schedule quantity. We agreed that the Quantity to be considered for Freight Charge is based on their Shipment Tonnage Agreement (which is weighed on the Vendor 2's side). Then for the Schedule Line Qty, we have to take the Average Weight from our side and from their side, and that should be the Schedule Line Qty. The Amount to be posted in PGR line item should be the amount from the Schedule Line Qty and the Freight Charge based on the Shipment Tonnage Agreement and the Material Cost will be valuated with the sum of these values. At the end of the Month, we create an Invoice for the 2 Vendors at the same time: one with Freight Charge the other on is the Stock Amount.
So for this requirement, is there a way we can add another Quantity, based on the Shipment Tonnage Agreement to calculate the Freight Charge inside, And the Transporter Vendor, in the Schedule Line Conditions to be included in the PGR?
Please suggest me configurations to do this also.
Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

    Hi Cruz,
If your requirement is to bill on the monthly average basis for the freight vendor, you can create new condition type for freight based on quantity. Use the calculation type 'M' - Quantity monthly price, in conjunction with the scales and use the scale basis 'C' if the freight cost is fixed based on your shipment agreement.
If your agreement is based on no.of shipments use the scale basis 'S' - no. of shipping units.
Even if these two are not suiting use the scal basis 'G' - formula and define the calculation based on your requirement.
Once this is configured for the condition type. Then maintain the conditiona values accordingly.
    Hope this is helpful.
    Thansk,
    Satya

  • Freight Charges Distribution

    Dear All,
I have a scenario for Freight Charges in Purchase Order.
The Purchase order has two freight vendors, both will be transporting the material on qty basis.
How to handle this situation?. If i maintain the freight condition two times, both the values are getting loaded.
    Gross Price: 100$
    Qty: 100 MT
    Freight: 0.5$/MT ( 1st Vendor)
    Freight: 0.5$/MT (2nd Vendor)
Kindly advice me on this regard
    Thanks & regard
    Panneer

    Hi,
If you have two transport vendors who are involved in each receipt, you can maintain freight conditions twice and you can maintain two different vendors for each condition. But in this case both the values will get loaded to material cost which should be obvious.
if you have a case where any one of the vendor may supply the material and the vendor is known only at the time of GR or the partial deliveries of a PO are delivered  by 2 different vendors, then you can maintain the exact freight vendor at the time of GR in freight tab in itemddetails in MIGO. For this however, the fright condition needs to have a setting in control data. Go to SPRO- > MM -> Purchasing -> conditions - > define condition types . here for field Vendor at Gr tou mantain appropriate setting.
