Minimum NWDI SP Level for MSS
Hi All,
I am currently getting 2 broken DCs in the CBS when creating a track for MSS. However, in my previous experiences everything worked fine. I do notice that the NWDI system is a few SP levels below the Portal J2EE SP Level. Thus, after failing to search up concrete causes of error, I am starting to wonder if the low NWDI SP level is the cause of my headaches. I remember that there is a minimum SP level for the portal J2EE, not sure if that applies to the NWDI system.
Is there a minimum NWDI SP Level requirement for MSS SCs? Perhaps there is a note that slipped through my research?
FYI, I am importing MSS 600 SP 12 into NWDI which is SP 12. CIM has been updated and SC Dependencies are synchronized with the SLD. All the required SCs are SP 16 because the portal is at SP16. PCUIGP is SP12 matching MSS.
Thanks very much for your time!
Robert

Robert,
This are my thoughts:
NWDI SP should not interfere with the CBS build.
New NWDI SP may be more stable or have a new feature, but it does not influence the result of the build.
Only versions of the SCs being built are involved.
Check the logs of the build.
You should be able to see exactly why component is marked as broken.

Upgradation Minimum sp level & kernel level for SAP 4.7 to ECC 6.0
Hi,
We recently created a test box , copy of devolopment.
We are running on SAP 4.7 with sap_basis and sap_abap with sp level 46.
SAP 4.7 with kernel release 640 and kernel patch version 155.
Oracle 9i.
What is minimum support pack level and kernel patch level required to upgrade from sap 4.7 to ecc 6.0.
As per threads it looks like kernel patch version should be 175.
Can any one guide me with sap note which provides the info of minimum sp level and kerenl patch level. The source system requires a certain support package level (that is described in the upgrade guides) because the tools that to the import require them.
So the easiest way is to check the upgrade guides and the mentioned notes which is the minimum support package level for the source system to start the upgrade.
The target level must be at least equivalent or higher.

Refer the below link

A. FEP stands for Front-End Patch. FEPs are the patches that SAP releases for the BW front-end components of the SAP GUI.
They can be downloaded from the SAP Service Marketplace (SMP login required), browsing to the following locations:
BW 3.5 Addon can be found at Downloads -> SAP Support Packages and Patches -> Entry by Application Group -> SAP Frontend Components -> BI ADDON FOR SAPGUI -> BW 3.5 ADDON FOR SAPGUI 7.10-> Win32.
BW 7.0 Addon can be found at Downloads -> SAP Support Packages and Patches -> Entry by Application Group -> SAP Frontend Components -> BI ADDON FOR SAPGUI -> BI 7.0 ADDON FOR SAPGUI 7.10-> Win32.

Report at Material level(for all the plants)?
Hi Experts,
We have simple query which gives following output.
&Plant&Material No&Creation Date&Issue date&QTY issued&
P1 M1 01/10/2004 01/01/2005 10
P2 M1 01/12/2004 15/12/2004 20
P3 M1 01/01/2005 15/01/2005 30
Actually I want to report at material level ( for all plants in one shot ) , additionaly I want to show the minimum creation date for that material and minimum issue date and sum of all 3 qty issued.
The output should look like
&Material No&Creation Date&Issue date&QTY issued
M1 01/10/2004 15/12/2004 60
Can any body suggest how do i get the date fields with the above condition
Thanks in advance.
Regs,
MahanteshHi Mahantesh ,
Try this:
Take two more KFs in the cube.
1) Creation Date as KF
Type: Date
Exception aggregation : First value
Aggregation reference : 0material.
2) Issue Date as KF
Type: Date
Exception aggregation : Last value
Aggregation reference : 0material.
In the query take 0material in rows and above 2 KF in the columns (May be , here , you need restriction also. 'Creation Date as Characterstic' > 01.01.1000 ,Issue Date as characterstic' < 31.12.9999 )

I have to upgrade my CRM 5.0 to CRM 2007. CRM is connected to ECC 6.0 and SCM 5.0. What are the minimum SP level for those component? Is there any link to documentations about mandatory SP for not CRM components?
Thanks a lot.Hello
In the CRM 2007 Master Guide which is available in the [SAP Service Marketplace|http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000704565&] I found that SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 3 is recomended and SAP R/3 4.6C SP 53 is the minimum version. No special version is mentioned for SCM 5.0.

Support Pack level for upgrade
Hi All,
We are upgrading from R/3 4.7 to ECC 6.0, can anybody provide me Support Pack level for SAP_ABA, SAP_BASIS etc. before starting upgrade.
I have gone through lot of OSS notes but not getting exact SP level.
Regards,
SachinI depends on
- what upgrade package you use (SR1, SR2, SR3)
- the SP level of the source system
The upgrade guide tells you the minimum SP level needed to do the upgrade.
If you use the new CD/DVD set, the system will be upgraded to SP 12 (BASIS, ABA, SAP_APPL).
If you backup your wage tables before the upgrade (as described in the installation guide) you can also go to the highes SP level for SAP_HR.

Custom FPM Application for MSS
Hi folks,
I am trying to create some custom portal pages for MSS that will contain the Employee Search and other iViews based on the Generic iView List and/or Generic iView Table templates.
The Business Package document for MSS (mySAP ERP) says that I have to create a new delta-linked FPM Application and assign the required views to the perspective, which I have done via the Self Service Administrator role.
The problem is, when I then try to create the new WebDynpro Java iViews, I can't see my FPM Application or views in the list.
I am aware that I can just add extra views to the standard FPM Applications for MSS, but I really don't want to risk having those overwritten by support packs later on.
Has anyone successfully done this before?
Regards,
Johnbtw, I was kidding about the creators of the old FPM sitting in the corner
When the new Java based ESS/MSS screens first came out they were so much better than the old IAC's, and we were very grateful for that. We used them extensively where they could just be deployed "out of the box".
Once we figured out how to integrate our own generic query iViews into the FPM framework for MSS we used lots of those too.
I guess in a way they were too successful, and as a result the business kept demanding more and more self service applications that often weren't delivered as standard.
Not being a Java shop (i.e. zero Java developers) we soon found that there was only so far we could go with the standard WDJ services. Even something relatively simple like adding another standard field to a standard ESS screen without going down the NWDI path proved to be a rather frustrating process (for us at least), so we just started buidling our own with WDA.
From a functional perspective, I don't really care if an application has been built in Java or Abap, as long as it does what I want, every time. I can't see us going back and changing the standard Java services that we still use over to Abap, but for future developments the reality for us and lots of other customers is WDA.
cheers.

We are trying to configure our server with MI2.5 and MAM3.0. Can anybody please tell us what are the levels of the service pack and PI basis levels must be there to work with MAM3.0.
Below are the details of the current service pack level and PI BASIS levels of our server.
SAP_BASIS 640 0020 SAPKB64020 SAP Basis Component
SAP_ABA 640 0020 SAPKA64020 Cross-Application Component
ST-PI 2005_1_640 0003 SAPKITLQH3 SAP Solution Tools Plug-In

<i><b>Note: our Middleware and Backend both are in the same server.</b></i>
Your help in this regard is highly appreciated and rewarded too.
Regards,
MurthyHi Murthy,
MAM 3.0 backend minimum requirements are:
R/3 4.6C (minimum SP53) with SAP R/3 Plug-in 2004.1 (Minimum SP13)
R/3 4.7 (Minimum SP 27) with SAP R/3 Plug-in 2004.1 (Minimum SP13)
ERP 2004 (Minimum SP11) with SAP R/3 Plug-in 2004.1 (Minimum SP14)
ERP 2005 (Minimum SP6), no Plug-in required
Please be aware that you will need to apply quite a few notes even if you are on the latest SP level for any of this backends.
MAM 3.0 central note references backend central notes for various supported backend. You should take care that appropriate note is analysed and all notes are implemented.

Logical level for logical fact table sources
it is clear that for fact aggregates, we should use the Content tab of the Logical Table Source dialog to assign the correct logical level to each dimension.
question is : is it mandatory to assign even for non-aggregates fact tables the logical level for each dimension (which normally should be set to the most detailed level of each dimension) ? is it any known issue if "logical levels"in content tab are not set ?
the reason I'm asking this is a strange bug I have (I'm not going to discuss it here) and then only workaround seems to be NOT setting the logical levels (on content tab) for logical fact table sources.
thank you !If levels are not set: By default levels are considered as lowest level
It should not matter if you set or not
Generally we set for facts explicitly when we are using Aggregate tables.
Your current issue might be a case by case; I would suggest to check implicit fact, any table mapped to the source to force a join etc
Mark if helps
Let me know how it helps

I am on Oracle 11.1.1.7 BPM suite on W8 64 bit. I can't launch the flow trace and get the error "Unable to get the composite instance for the invocation. This could be because instance has not yet been created or because the audit level for the SOA infra has been set to Off". I have set the audit level to development at the soa-infra>SOA Administration> Common Properties > Audit level set to development and Capture Composite Instance State is Checked.
Can somebody advice.
ThanksCan you please confirm me the following steps...
Log in to the EM console, Expand soa-infra (soa_server1) , go to the partition where your composite is been deployed, Click on your composite, On the right, click on the dropdown Settings and choose Composite Audit Level. you can choose to set the Audit Level for this composite. If you choose Inherit, it will take the settings to what the server is being set to. Otherwise, we can override it by choosing Off, Production, or Development.
Make sure your setting for that composite is not Off, keep inherit or production or development.
Thanks,
N
