Minimum order level

Hi,
The stock level of all materials in stores are checked everyday. If the stock level falls below the minimum level, a direct purchase order should be  placed for procurement of the material. The order quantity is should be to fill the storage to the maximum level. What master settings i have to make for this automatic PO generation for materials if stock level is less than minimum level?
regards
B Shar

hi
First of all you need to maintain
Required Stock Level
Minimum Stock Level
Maximum Stock Level
In the Material Master data
You can use "Reorder point planning"
In reorder point planning, procurement is triggered when the sum of plant stock and firmed receipts falls below the reorder point.
The reorder point should cover the average material requirements expected during the replenishment lead time.
The safety stock exists to cover both excess material consumption within the replenishment lead time and any additional requirements that may occur due to delivery delays. Therefore, the safety stock is included in the reorder level.
The following values are important for defining the reorder point:
Safety stock
Average consumption
Replenishment lead time
The following values are important for defining the safety stock:
Past consumption values (historical data) or future requirements
Vendor/production delivery timelines
Service level to be achieved
Forecast error, that is, the deviation from the expected requirements
Manual Reorder Point Planning
In manual reorder point planning, you define both the reorder level and the safety stock level manually in the appropriate material master.
Automatic Reorder Point Planning
In automatic reorder point planning, both the reorder level and the safety stock level are determined by the integrated forecasting program.
The system uses past consumption data (historical data) to forecast future requirements. The system then uses these forecast values to calculate the reorder level and the safety stock level, taking the service level, which is specified by the MRP controller, and the material's replenishment lead time into account, and transfers them to the material master.
Since the forecast is carried out at regular intervals, the reorder level and the safety stock level are continually adapted to the current consumption and delivery situation. This means that a contribution is made towards keeping stock levels low.

  • Setting minimum order level in BC?

Is there an easy way to set a minimum total order level in BC and enforce it by not allowing Check Out at lower $ amounts?
I've tried setting all of my shipping options to a $150 minimum level and then setting the shipping validation in the buy button to "true".
The shipping options don't appear unless the cart has $150 in it but the user can still proceed to the Registration Buy page at any dollar level with zero shipping by hitting Checkout.
I think the system must be recognizing $0.00 as a "valid" shipping amount.
    Please help.

    Hey techstoryteller,
At this stage it is only possible to set a minimum and maximum quantity of a particular product via eCommerce > [select a product].
For setting a minimum for an order, it would be possible through JavaScript to implement a script that could check the value of the {tag_invoicetotal} tag and if less than 150, will hide the checkout button using CSS. I don't have any JavaScript samples available, however I will leave this discussion open in order for possible suggestions from our community.
    Cheers.

  • Minimum order value for Purchase orders

    Hello,
    This is my requirement: -
A condition type needs to be created for Minimum Oder Value for PO. If the PO value is say, 450 and the condition record in 500, the PO value must be adjusted to 500. If PO value is 550, then it remains 550.
       1. Condition records must be maintained.
       2. Must be calculated on whole PO (all items) and then redistributed among items in a suitable ratio.
This is what I have already tried:-
      1. Vendor master - No use maintain minimum order value as PO price must be adjusted through condition types.
      2. Tried replicating PMIN condition type and it works but only at item level - this calculation must take place at header level. Also it works only for calculation type "Quantity".
Please suggest how this can be implemented, hopefully through configuration only.

  • Error Message in Delivery : Quantity falls below minimum inventory level

    Version : SBO 2005 A SP01 PL22
Description of Issue:  When trying to Add a Delivery you get Error Message: Quantity falls below minimum inventory level [Delivery - Rows - Warehouse Code] [line: 0]  [Message 131-14].  You are then unable to Post the Delivery and Print the corresponding Packing List.
Testing Findings:  Upon detailed testing of this issue and work with SAP Support it has been determined that the issue is that the Delivery Row Ordered Qty is looking at the OITM In Stock Qty when determining if the full Row Qty can ship instead of the OITW In Stock Qty.  This is an issue because due to other "bugs" this Client has encountered their OITW Qtys in other Whses are negative, even though they have the Block Negative Inventory and the Manage Inventory by Warehouse Flags Checked On.  This then reduces the OITM Qty below the level of the Delivery Row and you get the above error message.
Example:  A Sales Order Row has an Order Qty of 15 for Whse 01 for a particular Item.  The OITW In Stock Qty for Whse 01 = 17.  The OITW In Stock Qty for Whse 03 = -7.  The Block Negative Inventory and Manage Inventory by Whse Flags are both Checked On.  The 'Net' OITM In Stock = 10.  When you try to Copy the Sales Order to a Delivery and Add the Delivery, you get the above Error Message and it will not allow you to Post the Delivery and Print the Packing List.
Current Workaround:  Client is performing Inventory Goods Receipts to bring the In Stock Qtys in the affected Whses to greater than or equal to zero.
Proposed Solution:  SAP Development to add logic to SAP Business One to validate the Delivery Row Qtys to Ship against the OITW In Stock Qtys instead of OITM when the Manage Inventory by Whse Flag is checked on.
Supporting Documentation: This DRQ Request relates to Support Message # 864405 2007.  All above referenced testing details including example SO#'s, Item #'s, etc. and an entire copy of the Client's database are available and linked to this Message #.

    Hi Ramu,
also you can  make sure you are choosing the right WH in ctrlshiftS windows if You do, then chek on Inventory -> Inventory report -> inventory status if you have enought and available quantities for the delivery, if you dont then you gonna have to make the PO and the AP Invoice to add more quantity to that item

  • MRP and Minimum Order Recom. Batch Sizes

I would like Purchase Order recommendations to be generated (MRP) based on minimum stock levels. If the stock is below the minimum Qty, then a PO is generated, but the minimum order Qty is ignored:
    Scenario:
    ItemCode: ABC
    Minimum Stock in WH: 40
    Current Stock in WH: 22.984
    Minimum Order Qty : 10
MRP Generated Recomended QTY : 17.016
As this item is purchased in lenghts of 6m's, ordering 0.016 will not be possible. We also need to order a minimum of 10.
As you can see the minimum Order Qty is ignored. The recomendation is suppose to be in batches of 10, so for this item it should have been 20.
    SAP : B1 2007 A SP: 0 PL:47
Any help will be apreciated greatly

    Hi,
Welcome you post on the forum.
Minimum Order in B1 only define the lowest order qty. It doesn't imply this is a minimum order unit. Try Order Multiple to get what you want.

  • Quantity Falls Below Minimum Inventory Level

Hi!, I have an item that we manage  by warehouse, we've set the minimum inventory level to 5000 pieces.
So the MRP has procured me 5000 pieces through a purchase order. I received my item through Goods Receipt PO and now that I want to transfer it to another warehouse I get a message "Quantity Falls Below Minimum Inventory Level".
I though the purpuse of the minimun inventory level was to procure more, not to lock transactions on the item. Is there a setting that I can tweek so I can use my 5000 pieces?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
That message is a warning only.  If you have enough authorization, you could still get all necessary transactions done without problem.  The message is not avoidable.
    Thanks,

  • MRP order multiple and minimum order qty

    Hello
I am running MRP for one item with minimum stock level 20, in house qty 1, order multiple 12 and minimum order qty 20
the MRP return the figure 19 to order, when it should be 24 taking into account order multiple and minimum order qty...
    Could you explain me why
    we run SBO B1 2007 SP00 PL49

    Hi,
This is the definition of your questions:
Order Multiple u2013 you can set a multiplication factor for ordering the item e.g. in
case you define 5 in this field and14 items are required, the MRP will recommend to
order 15 items (3X5=15). If 18 items are required, the recommendation will be to
    order 20 items (4X5).
Minimum Order Qty u2013 you can type a minimum quantity for ordering items by the MRP.
The planning data is apply when there is a requirement (sales order, forecast, production orders (for the child item) and reserve invoice.

  • Minimum stock level

    Hi all,
My scenario comes like this ...i have two service center"A" and "B"where i ll maintain some minimum stock level of spare parts.
each service center will get service arder individually for spare parts.service center's issue spare parts against order from minimum stock level.  so i maintained make to stock scenario where order is full filled with minimum stock level.so planning has to cover minimum stock level.so i mapped in safety stock.
But the safety stock level varies with some period.so i need an upload program of safety stock in period oriented manner.
then fullfillment of service order also based on priority wise  .becas spar parts for that sevice center are obtained from some other plant ...which should maintain a plan which determaine priority to give spare parts to "A" and "B" in percentage of priority
so i require  1.how to go for upload of safety stock with periodically?
2.How the priority can be given for allocation to verious service center.?\
    Regards

    Hi,
For upload the safety stock you can use BDC or LSMW.
for periodic upload try through background program with the help of ABAPer.

  • Minimum SP Level For BW 3.1 To Perform Upgrade To NW04s

    Colleagues,
My customer is preparing for an upgrade to NetWeaver 2004s, and is trying to find out if there is a minimum Support Package Level for BW 3.1, in order to perform the upgrade.  Does anybody know if there is a minimum SP Level they must be on (in BW 3.1) in order to be able to perform the upgrade?

  • Minimum order value

    Hi All,
We are trying to use the standard condition type AMIW and AMIZ to achieve the minimum sales order processing, but for some reason this does not seem to work.
Per OSS Note 999587,18173 we have the necessary condition type maintained as well as they have been included in the pricing procedure as mentioned in the note.
The issue is although the minimum value is not reached, the corresponding surcharge condition has a value of 0. subtotal has been assigned value 'D' for AMIW however WORKD has a value of 0.
    Settings in pricing procedure
    Condition type AMIW
    Field Value
    Statistical X
    Subtotal D
    Account key Blank
    Condition type AMIZ
    Field Value
    Alt.calc.type 13
    Account key ERS
We have also setup the condition record, with a fixed value of 200USD for AMIW. I was hoping by using this function the system would determine a minimum order surcharge value if the net value of the order was below 200USD.
Has anyone been able to use  the minimum sales order value function? We are currently on ECC6.0 and our patch level for SAP_AP is at 0020 release 700.
Any help or insight is much appreciated.
    Thanks

  • In order level no duplication of material code

    Hai Guru's
Client requirement: In order level he is entering minimum 100 line items per order.Any duplication of material code came in same order on that time system has to taken to  that line iteam and changed the quantity .
    01    x      100 quantity
    02     y       50   quantity
    03     z       80  quantity
when ever the  X  material come next time in same order i dont want one more line item. If I enter X material code in same order automatically  01 line item has to come .here i will change the quantity as a 150
    01    x      150  quantity.
why because  its very difficult to find X material in 100 line items.Client strictly telling he dont want second line item as same material X.
This is Standard SAP not possible if anybody face this type of situation before give me the solution how to face it . If any Development requires please tell me the logic.
    Thank u
    Regards
    Sree Sree

    Dear Sree
My suggestion is specific to your comments
when ever the X material come next time in same order i dont want one more line item.
If I enter X material code in same order automatically 01 line item has to come .
here i will change the quantity as a 150"
whereby, if you follow the first suggestion, definitely it will work.  The end user has just to input the material code and execute.  System will automatically go to first line item of that material code.
For example, you have maintained a material ABC in line items 50, 70 & 100 and in VA02, if you follow the suggestion what I have proposed, system will by default, go to line item 50 only, where you can make changes as per your requirement.
On the second suggestion, as you said a sale order contains some 100 line items in which the material ABC is flowing in line item 20, 60 & 90.  What the end user have to do as a one time job is that based on material code, they have to sort the data in excel format so that in the excel sheet, you can see for material code with preceding tabs line items 20, 60 & 90 continuously.
Your job is to develop a BDC with just three fields of course, the input data has to be sale order reference.  The format can be
    Line Item:::::Item Code::::::Quantity
If the end user would like to change the quantity of ABC for line item 60 instead of 20, in the BDC template, they have to maintain the line item as 60, material code ABC and quantity xxx.
Why dont you make a try with the option cited first ??
    thanks

  • Minimum order quantity ignored when past due

    SAP Business One 8.81 PL09
When running MRP for an item, the Minimum Order Quantity is ignored if an item is past due, meaning, the lead time makes it impossible to meet current requirements on time. From what I read, this appears to be by design in SAP Business One.
    Example:
    On hand: 0
    Minimum: 10
    Minimum Order Quantity: 20
    Lead Time: 5
MRP produces a recommended PO for a quantity of 10 in this case
    Example 2:
    On hand: 0
    Minimum: 10
    Minimum Order Quantity: 20
    Lead Time: 0
MRP produces a recommended PO for a quantity of 20 in this case
Can anyone explain the logic for recommending only the quantity to get to the mimimum rather than the minimum order quantity when a lead time is present? Clients don't believe this is sound MRP.
    Alan

    Hi Guys,
I am having the same problem in 8.81 Patch 7. Here is the way i have setup the items in my item master data.
    Example :
    Min Inventory 10
    Max inventory 50
    Min order QTY 40.
    Lead Time 1 day.
When running the MRP id doesn't suggest the min order qty. Instead it suggests the difference from my in stock level to my min level.
When removing the Lead time it suggests the min order qty of 40 units.
My question is why is it doing it and what can we do to fix it?????

  • Safety/Min/Re-order level

    Dear Gurus....
Can anybody let me know about
    Safety Stock
    Minimum stock
    re-order level
    MRP
    and all related to above...
    how it assign?
is there any formula to maintain the same or it just imagination?

    Hi,
There are three level of the stock in the material Planning
    1) Reorder Level : Level of stock at which procurement order is released.
    2) Minimum Stock : This level is just below the reorder level. this much stock should always be maintained to cater the production requirement
    3) Safety stock: This is below the Minimum stock level, if stock goes below this level means alarming situation arise and emergency planning for the stock has to be done to procure the material.
MRP: Material requirement planning is very wide topic and can not be covered over here. This is Planning tool in SAP

  • Free Goods not getting Determined at the Order Level

    Dear All,
I have activated free goods settings and also maintained free goods master record for exclusive free goods. However when I am entering the main line item the second line item in the sales order which should contain the free qty is not coming, please advice what needs to be done.
    Kind Regards
    Atul

    Hi Jelena,
Thanks for your post with this I could find out what was happening. The following is the analysis once I switched on the free goods determination at the order level and below was the system response.
    Diagnosis
There are certain business transactions where it is not possible to
determine free goods in the SAP standard system: reason 3
         Explanation of reasons
1      Document category is not from sales order category (VBTYP <> 'C'
         2      Lower-level item
         3      Bill of material
         4      Product selection
         5      Configurable item
         6      Scheduling agreement/forecast delivery schedule
7      Item with active ingredient management
         8      Item without schedule lines
I had found that in my item category the structure scope was marked as A where it was exploding the single level bill of material.Once this configuration was turned blank which is no explosion the free goods were getting determined.
