Mir7 and duplicates credit memo invoices

HI
It is possible to block (show alert message) when I make credit memo in MIR7 with the same reference number and purchase number?
In standard invoice this transaction show me message if in system exists already the same number reference. In this type duplicate is checking but in credit memo type not.

Hi Marcin...
I am not clear with the question u wrote?? In the sense if i am going to do a duplicate  Credit Memo with same  number in the referenece field, it showz a alert msg, saying XXXX document has the same reference number u mean ????
If that is the case and u have ans for it it wud be great.....

  • AP Invoice and AP Credit Memo Reconciliation

    HI Expert,
I just want to ask if there's a way to automate reconciliation of AP Invoice and AP Credit Memo related to each other?
What I did was just open the AP invoice and i copied to AP Credit Memo. I assumed that this was automatically reconciled but when I check the GL affected, it remains unreconciled.
    Thanks,
    Arlmi2000

    Hi Arlmi,
Weird... Are you sure? Which version and PL you used? Try this query as well
    SELECT T1.TransId,T1.LineMemo,T1.MthDate FROM JDT1 T1
INNER JOIN OJDT T0 ON T1.TransId=T0.TransId
    WHERE((T0.TransType=18 AND T0.BaseRef=@param1)OR(T0.TransType=19 AND T0.BaseRef=@param2))AND ShortName='@VendorCode'
Replace @param1 with your A/P Invoice document number.
Replace @param2 with your A/P Credit Memo document number
Replace @VendorCode with your vendor code
Run the query, the result should be 2 rows. What is the value of MthDate column?

  • Invoice and a credit memo at the same time

    Hello everybody,
I have a question about the MIRO transaction; there is a provider that give us a monthly invoice where he put all the articles we have ordered, but ALSO those that we have returned the month before with a negative amount, instead of doing a credit memo, which is what the rest of providers do.
I would want to know if it's possible to do an invoice and a credit memo at the same time, or at least do it separately but using the same barcode.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
    Try the folowing,
Enter the first PO, then click on the "more allocation criteria" icon to the right of the PO number field.
Enter the remianing PO numbers that are to be invoiced AND the ones to be credited and leave the flags for  "deliveries" and "returns" both set on.
This may work, and if you click on the help for one of these flags you will see that it does seem to do what you want.
I haven't tried it (I don't have the data set up) but it is worth you spending a couple of minutes with some examples in your "play" client, just to see if it does what you want.

  • Standard Invoice and a Credit Memo with the same amount

    Hi,
I have a AP standard invoice with an amount of 100 € and the credit memo with -100 €.
The standard invoice and the credit memo have the same Supplier and distribution, and the status are Validated and Accounted is Yes.
How I can match this credit memo to that invoice?
If I try to create a payment with this invoice and credit memo, I get an error because I can not make a payment to zero.
I do with a suspense account? How I can do it?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi.
Enter a zero amount payment and select both documents.

  • Duplicate CREDIT MEMO

    Hi everybody,
When it comes to the Invoice (in MIRO) the default system settings check for the Company Code, Vendor Number, Reference Field (at the invoice header) and Invoice Date to validate if the invoice is a duplicate one.
BUT that is only for INVOICE.
The same does not happen when you choose the CREDIT MEMO option in MIRO. So, i can post MULTIPLE credit memos with the same Invoice Date, same Amount and same Reference Text.
Is this standard behaviour? If no, am i doing something wrong.
Any suggestions how to avoid a duplicate CREDIT Memo.
    Please help.
    Maars.

    Hi,
Everything is working as expected when i choose option 1 in the dropdown in MIRO (ie., for INVOICE). SAP successfully stops me from creating a duplicate invoice.
But when i choose option 2 in MIRO (ie., CREDIT MEMO) the system does not stop me when i create TWO credit memos with the SAME
    a) Document Date
    b) Reference Text
    c) Amount
The vendor has already been enabled to prevent double invoice posting (in case of duplicates).
    Please help.

  • F-41 vs MIRO - duplicate credit memo not checked in MIRO

    Hi,
We used to do F-41 for credit memos to our suppliers. We recently decided to use MIRO instead. We realized that the system does not warn the user anymore when he tries to enter a duplicate credit memo.
In F-41, when we enter 2 credit memos with the same information:
    -Vendor
    -Currency
    -Company code
    -Gross amount of the invoice
    -Reference document number
    -Invoice document date
This error message appears: check whether document has already been entered under number ADM XXXXXXXXX XXXX.
Using MIRO, we don't get this error message anymore. We would like this message to appear also in MIRO.
    Is it a functional issue?
I checked the master data of the supplier, and the check box Chk double inv. is checked.
    Is it a configuration issue?
I checked t-code OMRDC and the 3 check box are marked with a check (check co. code, check reference, check inv. date).
I looked at SAP help and it says: When you enter credit memos or subsequent adjustments, the system does not check for duplicate invoices. I'm not so sure what this statement means....
    Many thanks for your help.

  • Tables : AR RESERVE and AR CREDIT MEMOS

    Hello experts,
My client has entered AR Reserve invoice and AR Credit memos- I need to find the accounting documents of these transactions.
I am not able to find the difference between them in my table. I am using BSEG.
    What am I doing wrong?
PS:  I am trying to create a Business Intelliigence cube from the table, and my AR Invoices dont balance with the SAP Report by the credid memos value.
    THanks a lot

    Hi,
Please note that AR Invoices and AR Credit Notes can also be traced in BSEG based on number range series and even document types. Normally, AR invoices have 9xxxxxx series, AR Credit Notes have 8xxxxxx series and Reversals/ Returns have 7xxxxxx.

but when we checked the return credit invoice the price has taken as 112. which is the basic price.
Please help me , you can see the document flow of the above.

  • F110: how to pay an invoice with Withholding Tax and a credit memo?

    Hi All,
in my SAP I've defined a Withholding Tax type for Payment Posting.
I've posted a vendor invoice with with Withholding Tax.
Later I've posted a credit memo with Withholding Tax which must compensate the prevuois invoice.
When I launch t.code F110, SAP, in the right manner,  proposes to pay the invoice less the amount of the credit memo.
But the calculation of the Withholding Tax (that it should post al the payment time) is wrong: SAP proposes to post the amount of the Withholding Tax recorded in the table WITH_ITEM at the moment of the posting of the invoice. Instead, from it, SAP should detract the amount of the Withholding Tax recorded in the table WITH_ITEM at the moment of the posting of the credit memo.
Why does SAP doesn't consider the amount of the Withholding Tax of the credit memo?
    Could anyone help me?
    Thanks

    Dear Rossi,
if You defined the WT TYPE at the payment time this means that the WT amount will be calculated at posted during the F110 run as per the invoice as per the credit memo.
If they are the same amounts and refer to the same wt type and code, when You run F110, they should match even for the WT calculation. It is clear that if You inserted manually the WT base amount or the WT amount into the invoice, the system will not do any automatic calculation but it will use these amounts that can be different from the one auto matically calculated by the system for the credit memo.
I hope this can help You.

  • Credit Memo - Invoice VAT and Credit Memo VAT differs

I have a scenario where the invoice generated had 16% VAT.  In July, VAT was changed to 18%.  When generating a crdit memo request for an old invoice... the header and item conditions tab showed 16% VAT.  When credit memo request is released and save, and it transferred to biling, i get VAT at 18%.
I tried to change the billing date and bill doc creation date in Credit memo request...to June.. prior ot VAT increase date.   but i am still getting current 18% VAT.
Does anyone know where i can maintain or have the effective date maintained for the correct VAT?  I am using CRM billing.

    Hi PP,
thankyou.  My Credit memo request has the previous date.  Date of Confirmation and service rendered.
When billing, i am not able to change settings.. as the fields were greyed out.
I am not too familiar with CRM billing .. but in ECC .. we use the Date Service Rendered.  this date would take the correct VAT effective date.
When i go to the item overview, all the fields have been greyed out.   and i am not able to change any fields.  is there somewhere in the settings that i could make the Pricing date and Date Serv. Rendered   editable in the credit memo
    thank you

  • AR Invoice and AR Credit Memo

Hi, What link between base document and target document (AR Invoice to Ar Credit memo) table/fields?
    Please advise
    Thanks,
    Ben

    Hi Ben,
    A/R Invoice :
For A/R Invoice --> OINV is the Table name and INV1 is the Invoice - Rows Table Name.
In OINV Table --> DocNum is the A/R Invoice Document Number.
In INV1 table --> DocEntry is the one which refers to the A/R Invoice Document Number. Target TYpe is the one which refers the A/R Credit Memo's Object Type and Target Entry refers the A/R Credit Memo Document Number.
    A/R Credit Memo :
For A/R Credit Memo --> ORIN is the Table Name and RIN1 is the Credit memo - Rows Table name.
In ORIN table --> DocNum is the A/R Credit Memo's Document Number.
In RIN1 table --> DocEntry is the one which refers the A/R Credit memo's Document Entry/ Document Number. BaseRef is the one which refers the Base Document number, Base Type Refers the Base Document Type and BaseEntry refers the Base Document's Document Entry Number.
I hope this would help you to solve the problem.

  • Check for Duplicate Credie Memos

    Hi ,
We have set up the Duplicate invoice check for our company code.
Also, in the vendor master we have the " Chk. duplicate invoice " activated. This should check both the invoices and credit memos for duplicate entries.
However, the same is not working in the case of credit memos and all the parameters such as company code , reference and the invoice date are same for both the credit memos ( even the amount and other parameters ). In the documentation, it is mentioned that this would work for both the invoices and credit memos.
Still the system does not issue a warning message for the same.
    Can anyone suggest .
    Thanks,
    Srikanth.

  • Goods Return and MIRO Credit Memo

    Hello Friends,
Please give your suggestions for the queries below :
    1. Is there any way we can create Credit Memo (MIRO) with reference to MIGO 122 Movement document (Rejected material returned)
    2. Is there a report that shows the list of MIRO Credit Memos. (My document type is the same for both Invoice and Credit Memo)
    3. Is there a standard report of MIGO 122 Movement document linking with MIRO Credit Memo and possibly PO.
    4. If 161 movement solves my problem,  what is the document that I can print out and send alongwith the rejected material to Vendor.
The question from my customer that how do confirm whether credit memo have been entered for all that is moved out of their premises as rejected material.
    Regards

    Hi,
    1.  If you are using ERS, then running MRRL transaction will automatically generate credit memo for your return delivery with movement type 122.
    2.  MIR5 is the one you should look into.
    3.  Take a look into ME80FN report.  Yet, this report does not indicate specifically for movement type 122.  If it is required that this movement type shall be chosen as part of selection parameters, then you should develop your own report.
    4.  There is not any particular difference if you are using movement type 161.  The only difference is that in case of using 161, you will have to raise a new return PO and make necessary GR and IR posting.  However, the disadvantage is that you will lose the track of your original PO (and PO history).
    Cheers,

  • Oracle Apps 11i AP Credit Memo & Invoice Link in tables

    Hello,
How do we link the credit memo to an invoice from the tables. For example if i know the credit memo number how do i find that credit memo is linked to which invoice.(I believe the table is AP_Invoices_All but not sure which column)
    Thank you
    Ashok

    Hi.
A Credit Memo can be considered the opposite of a Standard Invoice. It can be due to severeal reasons like, for example, when you claim to your supllier that the price for a certain good or service was higher than the agreed he can send you a Credit Memo in the amount of the price difference. You have recorded the Invoice (let's say $100) for the wrong price and now you will record the CM (let's say $10) for a negative amount being that the sum of the two documents correspond to the correct purchase you have done.
This way, the table AP_INVOICE_PAYMENTS_ALL records the CM with a negative amount allowing you to pay the two documents (the positive invoice and the negative CM) for the net amount.
    About the journals entries:
    Invoice
    DR Cost $100
    CR Liabilty $100
    CM
    DR Liability $10
    CR Cost $10
    Payment
    DR Liability $90
    CR Bank $90
    Hope this helps,
    Octavio
