Missing "Administrators" Group in the Netweaver portal??

Hi,
We have a lot of portals, but the "Administrators" group is missing in identity management???
We have this group in all other portals, but now the issue is who should set up this group so it can be found in identity management!
Upload the Group from backend, I guess is not good because this will not set uop the permissions that goes with this group.
It has Super admin and administrator roles in it but giving these two roles to my user don't fix it, so I need to know how to get this  group in the portal?
Any idea anyone??

Hi Jesper Andersen,
Try to search your group with the first letter in CAPS.  "Administrator"
If not, please found you user Administrator or J2EE_admin and tell us with groups you have assigned to this user?
Please remember to evaluate the replays, this incentive the SDN to keep growing,
regards,
Fabio

  • WebDynpro ABAP integrated into the NetWeaver Portal - One for Mr Jung :)

    Hi
    <h2>Introduction</h2>
I've developed a WebDynpro Component that uses 8 other components.
The initial component has 1 view with a PhaseIndicator element with 8 phases.
Selecting a phase pops up a window of the appropriate components used as usage components.
Also, depending on certain config tables some windows might popup as soon as the application runs.
I've created an application for the component with the PhaseIndicator.
    <h4>The application works perfectly !</h4>
    <h2>Problem</h2>
<h4>When I integrate the application into the NetWeaver Portal it also works perfectly, in Dev that is.</h4>
When moving the application and all it's components to QA it also works perfectly if run on it's own. But, when embedded in an iview in the Portal, strange things happen
All the components that are usage components in the 1st component is displayed in the first window but not as pop ups.
They are all listed below each other with plenty of white space between them, below each other in one huge scrollable window.
    <h2>My Investigations</h2>
I've run a trace in Dev and QA and discovered that just before the Windows are displayed different code is run in the two systems. In Dev, the system executes a method of the class CL_WDR_SSR_LS but in QA the system executes the contructor class of a local method lcl_repository in the include LWDR_RUNTIME_REPOSITORYF12.
    <h2>Things I've tried - but did not work</h2>
    1) Removed my custom theme.
    2) Re-transported everything.
    3) Bounced the QA Portal
    4) Transported everything to Prod - It works perfectly in and out of the Prod system and Portal. BTW The ECC system of QA was refreshed from Prod 2 weeks ago.
    <h2>Finally - My Question</h2>
What the bleep do I do now
    Thank you for reading.

    Hi Bala,
thank you. This solved my problem.
Could you explain what the caused the problem?
    Best regards,
    Olaf

  • Does the Netweaver Portal generates a W3C log file ?

    Hello,
Does the Netweaver Portal generates a W3C log file ?
Is there any way to configure it in netweaver?
Does anybody has Any documentation for the same ?
    Please Guide!
    Thanks,

    Hi Smita
Did you find an answer to your question, were you able to get W3C logs for portal. We have a similar requirement from our performance monitoring team, they want to collect the actual time taken in httpaccess logs for portal.
    Thanks

  • Integrating display templates with the Netweaver Portal

    Hi friends,
can you please help me how to the integrate SAP xMII display template with the Netweaer portal
    Thanks
    Srikanth

    Hi Srikanth
In case of integrating into NW Portal,
    1. U first need to create an IRPT page which contains the desired Display Templates is/are present.
    2. Then in the NW Portal <b>Content Administration</b>, create an iView with URL configured in this iView, where the URL should be that path name of target source where the IRPT page is stored such as URL : http://<servername>/<TargetFolder>/<YourIRPTPageName>.irpt
    3. Do the rest content objects like Page, WorkSet and Role after u hv successfully configured iView with that IRPT page (u may test this by clicking "Preview" button)

  • Can't create protection groups on the Azure Portal with on-premise hyper-v to Azure

I’m trying to setup Azure Site Recovery on-premise hyper-v to Azure. I have successfully configured the Hyper-V Sites and installed the provider with the registration key. Both servers

I had this error also yesterday and I tried to delete the sites, vault and create everything again. I used the unregister scripted

  • How do I check to see if a channel group exists in the data portal?

I have a list of channel groups in the data portal but sometimes some channel groups  are not created all the time.  How do I check using a script if a channel group exists or was created.

    Hello jreynolds!
With the command 'GroupIndexGet'. It returns 0 if the group does not exist.

  • Not a member of the Administrators group

My wife wants to use my iMac to do office work for her employer at home.
To do this, she has to install some employer software on my iMac.  But when she tries to install her employers Mac software, she get the message "Hardware installation cannot start with this user account.  Make sure that the user is a member of the Administrators group on the computer."
To make her a User/Admistrator, do I do the following:
    1)  Go into System Preferences and clicked on Users & Groups.
    2)  With the Current User as Admin checked, clicked on the padlock to unlock it and type in my password.
    3)  With the padlock unlocked, under Login Options, do I click on the + to establish a new user account for her?
    4)  Then, highlight the new account and click on the box "Allow user to administer this computer" and relock the padlock?
    5)  When the computer reboots, will it reboot with her as Administrator so she can load her employers software?
Once I have done this, in the future when she wants to use her new account, does she go into System Preferences - Users & Groups, unlock the padlock, click on her account to highlight it, relock the padlock and reboot the computer.
    Thanks,
    jzach52

    Yes to 1 thru 5
To access the account it is faster just to logout and login rather than rebooting.

  • Adding the Administrators group to a user token

I'm attempting to launch a process running with Administrator privileges from a service running on session 0. I'm using WTSQueryUserToken(WTSGetActiveConsoleSessionId(), ...) in my service (which runs as LOCAL SYSTEM) to get the user's token and then call
    CreateProcessAsUser() to launch the process.
However, I need to add the Administrators group to the user token, but I'm severely intimidated by all the security API functions and I'm afraid I'll be adding something with unintended side effects.
What's the best way to get the same elevated token that a UAC prompt converts an ordinary user token into?

The Elevated token is stored in the user's token.  The caller must have the SeTcbPrivilege and it must be enabled.  You can call GetTokenInformation + TokenLinkedToken which will return a TOKEN_LINKED_TOKEN structure which contains the handle
    to the Full token.

  • Getting URL parameter in Web Dynpro when using iViews in netweaver portal

    Hello Everybody,
    I'm having the following issue:
I created a WD-Application which would be accessed directly via URL with some parameters.
Getting these parameters works fine using the logic from the following link:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/45/2233b60c21072ce10000000a155369/frameset.htm
Now I want to implement my WD-Application into the netweaver portal.
My colleagues customized it that far, so that I can access the WD via a portal-link.
The only thing is, that the logic getting the URL parameters from above does not seem to work in this context any more.
Do I need different coding getting the parameters from the portal URL or is this a matter of missing "portal-customizing"?
Any ideas in this matter are kindly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance and regards,
    Marc

    Hi Marc,
I'm doing the same and it works fine.
    Here is my coding:
      DATA: lt_url_parameters TYPE tihttpnvp.
data: ls_url_parameters type line of tihttpnvp.
    * Read URL Parameters
      wdevent->get_data( EXPORTING name  = if_wd_application=>all_url_parameters
                         IMPORTING value  = lt_url_parameters ).
read table lt_url_parameters into ls_url_parameters with key name = 'MODE'.
      if sy-subrc = 0.
        case ls_url_parameters-value.
          when '1'.
          when '2'.
       endcase.
      endif.
    Check the following:
1.) are you using the event handler "HANDLEDEFAULT" of your WINDOW to get the url parameters?!
2.) in the portal iview with your wd application, the property "Application Parameters" has to be filled (in my example:  mode=1)
If you need the value in the init method of your first view, you can store the parameter in an attribute of your component controler and read it in your view.

  • Two groups with the same name in File and LDAP realms

    Hi,
I configured WLS 6.0 SP1 to use an LDAP caching realm
as default one. In the LDAP server (Netscape Directory)
I have a group called Administrators. There is a group
with the same name in WLS own File Realm. When I click
on the Groups menu item in the administration console
I only get the Administrators group from the File Realm
listed. Is that expected? What will happen if I protect
a resource ti the Administrators group? Which one will
prevail - the one from the LDAP or the one from File
Realm? Or maybe the two will be merged?

    Hi
First of all I want to know that where you created your class, In SE24 or in any programm.
if in SE24, then go to se24 open that class go to methods tab and check if that method name accurs at two places, if not, then
click on that method and check the code.
    or if in a program.
then you must have defined like
    class <class name> definition.
    public section
    method <method name>
    endclass.
    class <class name> implementation.
    method <method name>
      code for that method.
    endclass.
It might be possible you have set the implementation part twice for that particular method, So please check and delete one implementation for that method.
    Thanks

  • Questions about Netweaver portal

    Hi,
how is it possible to use the netweaver portal? Is it necessary to install something?
How can I activate it? How is the procedure to use the portal?
    We use SAP ECC 6.0.
    Thanks in advance.
    Michael

Short answer is yes, you have to install something.  You will need new hardware aside from your ECC box.  A basis person would install the Netweaver Application Server Java stack along with the NetWeaver Portal.  Once installed you have to connect it to your ECC system.  There are business packages, ie Manager Self-Service, Employee Self-Service, that add portal functionality to your users.  These packages run on the portal and would need installation also.
This is a brief answer.  For the in depth knowledge, you can research SDN.  There are plenty of resources on SDN.

  • Who can add users to the Term Store Administrators field in the termstoremanager.aspx

In the Term Store management tool (_layouts/15/termstoremanager.aspx) what permissions does a user need to have to be able to add/change/remove accounts and groups listed in the Term Store Administrators field.
I am guessing that they need to be Administrators of the Managed Metadata Service Application?
I ask because I have a user who is Admin of the MM Service App and is listed in the Term Store Admin field but cannot add or remove users in the Term Store Admins field in the Term Store management tool
    Thanks
    J

    Hi,
To be able to add users to the Term Store Administrators in SharePoint sites, the user needs to be
both a member of the Administrators group on the computer running the SharePoint Central Administration Web site, and a member of the Farm Administrators group.
