Missing AW Maintenance Details When Submitting to Oracle Job Queue

Is there a way to know the number of added/deleted members or the processed/ rejected records of a dimension/cube maintenance that was submitted to the Oracle Job Queue?
The following is the log of my recent maintenance task that was submitted to the Oracle Job Queue:
18:59:03 Attached AW OLAP_TEST.AW_TEST in RW Mode.
18:58:27 Completed Build(Refresh) of OLAP_TEST.AW_TEST Analytic Workspace.
18:58:27 Finished Parallel Processing.
18:58:21 Running Jobs: AWXML$_2534_1. Waiting for Tasks to Finish...
18:58:21 Started 1 Finished 0 out of 1 Tasks.
18:58:21 Running Jobs: AWXML$_2534_1.          Usually, there would be a line in the XML_LOAD_LOG table where the added/deleted members or processed/rejected records can be found. In this case, there is none.

Usually the entries you want are before these lines (time-wise). The parallel processing only handles aggregating fact partitions in parallel, not loading the base level data.

  • Error when attempting to maintain cube by submitting task to Job Queue

    Hi,
I've been working with Cubes/Dimensions on AWM 10.2.0.3 for the last little while and have been maintaining cubes by selecting the Run maintenance task immediately in this session. This has been working reasonable well for me.
I am now looking at how this can be put into production and trying to use the Submit the task to the Job Queue selection. When I choose this option and select the Run immediately radio item I have no problems. However when I choose to run this in the future I receive the following error:

    Any ideas??
    Thanks in advance,
    LM

    Hi LM,
I have not seen this specific issue before but there are a few things you can check:
    1) Did you exit AWM before the scheduled job started? You must exit AWM before the jobs starts as the job will try to attach the AW in read-write mode which is the default mode used by AWM. Therefore, if you are still in AWM when the job starts the job will fail. Usually you will get a more helpful error message that says something like "unable to attach AW".
    2) Try scheduling the job one hour in the future. Then start Enterprise Manager and look at the job queue. You should find a job with the prefix AW$ which will be your job. Look at the details for the job and make sure the program to be executed looks correct, ie it actually contains a program and a name of a cube/dimension. I created a job once, that for some reason did not contain a PL/SQL command block. No idea why.
    3) If the PL/SQL block is present try running it from the command line and see what happens, login in to SQLPlus as the same user as you use for AWM.
    Hope this helps

And metalink note 1100253.1 states that this issue (java.lang.StackOverflowError) might be caused by a too large set of data to be sorted in the layout file. Recommendation is to removed the sort from the layout file and instead sort the data already in the data definition.

  • "Missing Push Notification Entitlement" when submitting Air app to IOS AppStore

After submitting my Air app (and update to the existing app) to the App Store, I've received an automated message from itunesconnect stating that my app is ""Missing Push Notification Entitlement". The full message is as follows:
    Dear developer,
We have discovered one or more issues with your recent delivery for "xxxx". Your delivery was successful, but you may wish to correct the following issues in your next delivery: Missing Push Notification Entitlement - Your app appears to register with the Apple Push Notification service, but the app signature's entitlements do not include the "aps-environment" entitlement. If your app uses the Apple Push Notification service, make sure your App ID is enabled for Push Notification in the Provisioning Portal, and resubmit after signing your app with a Distribution provisioning profile that includes the "aps-environment" entitlement.
I've submitted multiple updates and never had this issue. Furthermore, I don't use push notifications, and as far as I can tell they are not enabled (nor where they ever configured or enabled) in the relevant app id on the developer portal nor in the application.xml. My Air app, as far as I can tell, isn't including any classes that are used to receive push notifications either.
    Any thoughts, ideas?

Yup, i have the same issue here. AIR 3.5.something, Flash Builder 4.7 ... i received the damn mail today just seconds after successfully uploaded the app with Application Loader Version 2.8 (321). I didn't used any Push Notification services functionalities neither enabled it in the distribution provisoning profile. Like Alan_Haugen says the tone of the words make you believe that everything is fine, and that next time you upload stuff, take care to fix that. Don't know, will wait to see if the app will be approved.
Adobe please don't get angry now - but maybe is time to take problems that developers using your technology have - more seriously. You know, we are the last ones defending your frontiers in the AIR / FLASH frontlines and maybe we deserved more attention here ???? I mean the answer you placed here is the same if someone had mechanical car issues, and you suggest him to try to stop the car and start the car again then all troubles will be gone. Cmmon.
I mean there is only few calls to Apple needed and few hours of investigation to get there. And I think at least you can give us some credibility if you make us believe you are investigating the issue, and not redirect us off to stackoverflow - just like we are from Mars, and we didn't heard about it until today.
I'm really sorry for maybe a litlle harsh words, and really i would like to continue to use AIR / FLASH technologies but you must understand and i'm 100% sure that more or less all people springling around here are in enterprises. And in enterprises there are no answers like maybe, don't know, not sure, will see, etc. Because with such answers you're dead in less than needed to close one eye.

  • DYNPRO_SEND_IN_BACKGROUND when submitting a background job, when creating a

    Hi.
We create sales orders via EDI.   When certain sales orders are created, we execute user exists on the Sales Order save.  During the User Exit, we submit/create (job_open_adk function, the submit command, and the job_close_adk function) a background job.
The background, is created and executed successfully, but we get 2
    short dumps everytime.
    The short dump is:
    DYNPRO_SEND_IN_BACKGROUND
    The description is:
Screen output without connection to user.
The short dump is for the user WF-BATCH.
I've used DEBUG and the shortdump occurs on the submit command.
    submit zsd
    to sap-spool
    destination 'null'
    immediately ''
    keep in spool 'X'
    without spool dynpro
    and return
    user l_user via job tbtcjob-jobname
    number tbtcjob-jobcount
    with p_vbeln = l_order
    with p_ebeln = l_po
    with p_uname = l_user.
Nothing should be displayed on the screen.
I used 'without spool dynpro' to prevent the 'Print Screen List' window
    from appearing.
I've put this code into a TEST program. I ran the test program
myself. (under my ID) The program run perfectly. No
    shortdump.
Similar code is used in other programs and it works perfectly - no shortdumps.
The short dump occurs when we use ALE/EDI to create a sales order.
The short dump has the ID WF-BATCH on it.
I'm guessing the problem is with the WF-BATCH ID. Are printer setting
missing on a Work Flow ID?
Any ideas why the 'without spool dynpro' parameter doesn't work for the
    WF-BATCH ID?
I've tried searching OSS and I looked at the on-line help/documentation
on Submit. I saw a recommentation to use the
fuction 'GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS' to set all of the print parameters. I
tried this, but still got the short dumps.
Any suggestion on how I can run the Submit command and not get a short dump?
    thanks,
    Michelle

  • Error when submitting GRC request

    Hello IDM Gurus, <br>
We were running into an issue when trying to set up our IDM - GRC integration; when submitting a request to GRC via the AC Validation task the "Submit AC Request" task always encounters an error, but in spite of which the request still gets created on the GRC end; weirdly enough, 2 requests get created each time:<br>

  • Dynamically selecting template when submitting conc program in XML Reports

    Hi Experts,
I am working on XML Publisher reports with EBS-R12 and database-10g.
I have two RTFs,(one for USA country and another for Japan) for my report. I created one data defintion, and two templates for same data defintion in XML Publisher responsibility.
When i submit the concurrent program, i can manually select the template from the available list. My requiremet is, based on input parameter(ORG ID), the template should be selected automatically.
Is there anyway template can be automatically selected based on condition when submitting concurrent program?
    Waiting for your responses.
    Thanks.

  • Error when submitting job to Qmaster cluster

    Hi all,
I'm new to working with the Qmaster cluster but I created a cluster (at least I think I did it right) using the distributed processing apple document from the help menu. Everything looks right...I have an active cluster with two machines. What is a little weird is that the Cluster that I can choose in Compressor when submitting a job has a format like "ThisComputer.RScomputer.local:50411" instead of the name of the cluster I made (I called it Zeus Cluster).
So, I choose this long cluster name and submit the job but I get this error:
Error: An internal error occurred: NSException raised by 'NSPortTimeoutException', reason = '[NSPortCoder sendBeforeTime:sendReplyPort:] timed out'.
Has anyone seen this error. What could I be doing wrong? Apple Qadministrator has the Cluster active and both machines are sharing fine.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Have you looked in the /Library/Logs/Qmaster for any specific detail? (use /applications/utilities/console.app )
there's usually some detail in there that will give you an insight. If you see smething in there of significance, by all means post it here so w can examine and suggest to you.
I have had his before, and in my case is related to the cluster setup I had.

  • Problems with in/out points when submitting jobs via Terminal/command-line

I've writting a GUI based script which allows a user to select a source Quicktime file, and will encode that file to multiple formats, and trims each destination based on specific timecode in/out points. However, I'm having problems getting the Compressor command-line interface to honor the in/out timecodes that I've explicitly set for multiple jobs within a single commandline.
In other words, if I want to encode a source Quicktime between 01:00:00:00 and 01:00:29:23 with just ONE setting/destination, then the following commandline works:
    /Applications/Final\ Cut\ Studio/Compressor.app/Contents/MacOS/Compressor -clustername MHM -batchname CLI_BATCH -jobpath /Volumes/mel/temp/20120329/TEST_SRC.mov  -settingpath /Volumes/common/settings/compressor/M9_Slave/_Local_/OTWC.setting -destinationpath /Volumes/mel/temp/20120329/TEST1234_Testing30_OTWC.mov -in 01000000 -out 01002923
But if I try to append multiple settings/destinations to the commandline, Compressor will only honor the -in/-out arguments which appear in the LAST -jobpath instance in the commandline.
For example, the following commandline will properly encode the file to multiple destination files, using the appropriate .settings file, but it ignores the -in/-out points that were set for any -jobpath instance that appears before the last -jobpath instance (in other words, every file is output using 00:59:57:00/01:00:30:01 as the in/out points, instead of having the "*_OTWC.mov" file output using 01:00:00:00 as the in point)
    /Applications/Final\ Cut\ Studio/Compressor.app/Contents/MacOS/Compressor -clustername MHM -batchname CLI_BATCH -jobpath /Volumes/mel/temp/20120329/TEST_SRC.mov  -settingpath /Volumes/common/settings/compressor/M9_Slave/_Local_/OTWC.setting -destinationpath /Volumes/mel/temp/20120329/TEST1234_Testing30_OTWC.mov -in 01000000 -out 01002923 -jobpath /Volumes/mel/temp/20120329/TEST_SRC.mov -settingpath /Volumes/common/settings/compressor/M9_Slave/_Local_/HNN-HD.setting -destinationpath /Volumes/mel/temp/20120329/TEST1234_Testing30_HNN-HD.mov -in 00595700 -out 01003001
It's wierd that everything else about this command-line syntax works as expected (and as explicitly stated in the Compressor -help output, which says "when submitting individual source files. (The) Following parameters are repeated to enter multiple job targets in a batch"), except for the -in/-out points.
I've even tried quoting the -in/-out arguments using colons (e.g., -in "01:00:00;00") , but this doesnt appear to change the behavior.
Is this a bug, or am I missing something here?

  • Error when submitting GRC request from IDM

    Hello GRC gurus,
We were running into an issue when trying to set up our IDM - GRC integration; when submitting a request to GRC via the AC Validation task the "Submit AC Request" task always encounters an error, but in spite of which the request still gets created on the GRC end; weirdly enough, 2 requests get created each time:<br>
    putNextEntry failed storingcn=TESTUSER,ou=submitrequest,o=grc
Exception from Add operation:javax.naming.CommunicationException: [LDAP: error code 2 - (GRC Submit Request:2:oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver)]; remaining name 'cn=TESTUSER,ou=submitrequest,o=grc'
    <br>
On the GRC end we noticed that we are getting the following error:<br>

    Hi Diego,
Thanks a lot for your quick response! Sorry for the delay in responding; I was travelling.
Uploading the new files from the Note you mentioned allowed us to view what the actual errors were; but we've started running into new errors now; when looking at the operation logs for VDS, I see that the webservice actually returns an operation result of SUCCESS also quoting that "Finished add operation"; which is why the request does in fact get created in CUP but a couple of log entries later after the webservice returns the request number I encounter the following error within VDS:
Exception in GRC WS API call:oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
Here's the error found in sequence within a set of other operational log messages within VDS:

  • Implementing Security For ADF Pages when integrated with Oracle APPS

    Hi,
Can anyone please let me know the solution to the below problem ?
I have an ADF application that is deployed on a weblogic server. An URL is generated to access the ADF Pages.
I have created one more simple jsp (Launch.jsp) which redirects to this URL on page load.
I am using Oracle APPS where:
->I registered a form function referring to Launch.jsp
->I am referring form function in a responsibility , attaching that to a menu
->When the valid oracle user logs in, I am sending all oracle apps environment variables (User id , Responsibility id, application id ) for that session
    What my issue is :
->The URL along with the parameters that I am sending from the Launch.jsp to the ADF Page is visible to the user. So, even if the Oracle APPS user has not logged in, anybody who knows the URL can access the ADF Pages.
->So, Is there any way to implement the security so as, even if anyone knows the URL of the ADF Page cannot access the ADF Pages without the valid user being logged-in through the Oracle APPS.
    I am using Jdeveloper 11g.
Please let me know if you need anymore details.
    Thanks in advance,
    Kavitha

Please help me out if anyone has a solution to this problem.
    Thanks,
    Kavitha
