Missing .dcref/ topleveldcs in consolidation build space

Hi NWDI experts
We are trying to migrate our track from one NWDI to another.
But, today we found that in the workspace comparision that , the topleveldcs in the dtr's dev/active missing in the consolidation/active folder.
/ws/folder/mytrackname/cons/active
vs
/ws/folder/mytrackname/dev/active
Because these are missing, in the new NWDI, when we import the SCA file, all the ToplevelDCs are missing.
Please suggest me how to restore and make the dev and cons build spaces sync?

Yes, CBS caches sources to minimize data transfer between CBS and DTR. You can maybe find something locally in <CBS tempdir>\<buildspace id>\.CACHE\<dc id>\..., e.g. F:\cbstemp\94\.CACHE\1234\DCs\...
CBS should notice if the cache is not up-to-date but there was one bug with DTR where this failed, especially if there were integration conflicts. As ultimate weapon "init compartment" resolves the issue.

Broken DC in CBS Consollidation Build space

Hi All
When i assembled the activity in CMS server assembling of components got failed.Reason was Broken DC exist in CBS Consollidation build space.
I have compared the CBS Development build space and CBS consollidation build space one difference i found that in CBS Consollidation build space under the column Total DC is that number of DC is Zero for the SC Name BI_UDI,SAP-JEE,SAP_BUILDT,SAP_JTECHS.
Can any body help me how to solve Broken DC problem in the CBS Consollidation Build space?

Hi Snehal,
I have checked the Consolidation and i found that the build dependcies which is showing import finished is the old date that is jan 2007.
Actually one month back Assemble tab was disappeared in CMS server.After that Basis team re import the SC into the track.After reimporting the SC only we are getting build dependency error in CBS Development and Consolidation build space.On 2nd july 2008 they have reimported the required dependecy till Production.after this we are not getting any broken DC in CBS development build space, however still the problem exist (Build dependency error) in consollisation build space of CBSspace.
I have checked the history of consollidation i am not getting any dependency which was imported on 2nd july.The build dependency which is present in consollidation history page is the much oldest one (Jan 2007).I think basis team did some mistake.
Could you please tell the procedure so that we can inform the basis team (HP 3rd party) what they need to do?

Getting broken by itself dc in cbs consollidation build space

Hi All
Assembling of components failed in CMS under Assemble tab.Reason was brken DC in CBS consollidation build space.
I compared both CBS Development and Consolllidation build space and i found some build error in CBS Consollidation build space only.Even i have created a new activity in CBS Development build space and checked in that activity and relesae it to Consollidation of CMS but still the DC state in CBS Consollidation Build Space is showing as breken by it self only.
Can anybody tell me how i will solve broken by itself DC in CBS Consollidation Build space?

NWDI: Unable to instantiate a Build Space administrator

In CBS I see that there are a number of requests are permanently on the status PROCESSING. I've restarted the NWDI server, but this did not solve the issue. The most disturbing error message in the Default Trace is the following:

Consolidation build code doesn't match dtr?

I'm getting this error during a build in the consolidation compartment:

If I use the WebDAV interface to browse the dtr, the line mentioned above does not match the line in the code. In fact, the line that caused the error was fixed weeks ago. I also checked out the active DC just to verify - the code is correct ie. does not have the above error.
Why is the build picking up the old code, when in fact the DTR shows that the correct code is in place? All activities have been checked in and activated; all transports have been released. Is there something I'm missing?
I have had this error in the past with the development compartment as well; the problem seemed to right itself after a day or so. It's almost as if some data files are cached somewhere in the build sub-system, so the current changes are not being picked up.
BTW, in case anyone is asking, SP16 (latest patches) on both the NWDI and NWDS.

Yes, CBS caches sources to minimize data transfer between CBS and DTR. You can maybe find something locally in <CBS tempdir>\<buildspace id>\.CACHE\<dc id>\..., e.g. F:\cbstemp\94\.CACHE\1234\DCs\...
CBS should notice if the cache is not up-to-date but there was one bug with DTR where this failed, especially if there were integration conflicts. As ultimate weapon "init compartment" resolves the issue.

Missing Large Chunk of Hard Drive Space - Pavilion Dv4t

Hi All,
I purchased a Pavillion Dv4t about a month ago with a 320 gb hard drive. Upon first inspection, I noticed that the drive partitions, when added together, fell way short of 320gb. The C drive plus Recovery drive = 298 gb! I initially wondered if the missing space was a hidden partition containing vista, and that when I custom installed windows 7, I would be able to formatt that part of the drive to install 7. This does not appear to be the case as the install upgrade only showed the 2 partitions totaling 298gigs.
Does anyone know what that missing space is and how to recover it? Or is it something important that I shouldent mess with?
Has anyone else had this problem or noticed that they are missing this much hard drive space?
Also, I've run a hdd diagnodtic test wich showed no drive issues.

Capacity measurements
A disassembled and labeled 1997 hard drive. All major components were placed on a mirror, which created the symmetrical reflections.
Raw unformatted capacity of a hard disk drive is usually quoted with SI prefixes (metric system prefixes), incrementing by powers of 1000; today that usually means gigabytes (GB) and terabytes (TB). This is conventional for data speeds and memory sizes which are not inherently manufactured in power of two sizes, as RAM and Flash memory are. Hard disks by contrast have no inherent binary size as capacity is determined by number of heads, tracks and sectors.
This can cause some confusion because some operating systems may report the formatted capacity of a hard drive using binary prefix units which increment by powers of 1024.
A one terabyte (1 TB) disk drive would be expected to hold around 1 trillion bytes (1,000,000,000,000) or 1000 GB; and indeed most 1 TB hard drives will contain slightly more than this number. However some operating system utilities would report this as around 931 GB or 953,674 MB, whereas the correct units would be 931 GiB or 953,674 MiB. (The actual number for a formatted capacity will be somewhat smaller still, depending on the file system). Following are the correct ways of reporting one Terabyte.

Microsoft Windows reports disk capacity both in a decimal integer to 12 or more digits and in binary prefix units to three significant digits.
The capacity of an HDD can be calculated by multiplying the number of cylinders by the number of heads by the number of sectors by the number of bytes/sector (most commonly 512). Drives with the ATA interface and a capacity of eight gigabytes or more behave as if they were structured into 16383 cylinders, 16 heads, and 63 sectors, for compatibility with older operating systems. Unlike in the 1980s, the cylinder, head, sector (C/H/S) counts reported to the CPU by a modern ATA drive are no longer actual physical parameters since the reported numbers are constrained by historic operating-system interfaces and with zone bit recording the actual number of sectors varies by zone. Disks with SCSI interface address each sector with a unique integer number; the operating system remains ignorant of their head or cylinder count.
The old C/H/S scheme has been replaced by logical block addressing. In some cases, to try to "force-fit" the C/H/S scheme to large-capacity drives, the number of heads was given as 64, although no modern drive has anywhere near 32 platters.

For a formatted drive, the operating system's file system internal usage is another, although minor, reason why a computer hard drive or storage device's capacity may show its capacity as different from its theoretical capacity. This would include storage for, as examples, a file allocation table (FAT) or inodes, as well as other other operating system data structures. This file system overhead is usually less than 1% on drives larger than 100 MB. For RAID drives, data integrity and fault-tolerance requirements also reduce the realized capacity. For example, a RAID1 drive will be about half the total capacity as a result of data mirroring. For RAID5 drives with x drives you would lose 1/x of your space to parity. RAID drives are multiple drives that appear to be one drive to the user, but provides some fault-tolerance.
A general rule of thumb to quickly convert the manufacturer's hard disk capacity to the standard Microsoft Windows formatted capacity is 0.93*capacity of HDD from manufacturer for HDDs less than a terabyte and 0.91*capacity of HDD from manufacturer for HDDs equal to or greater than 1 terabyte.

Missing Menu Options in Flash Builder

I encountered a mystery surrounding several missing menu options in one of my Flash Builder workspaces recently. I wanted to create a new skin for a List control so I right-clicked on my skins folder and looked for the New MXML Skin option. And I looked. And I looked some more. But it wasn't there.
I happened to have another copy of Flash Builder open in another workspace so I gave it a try in that project. Sure enough, the New MXML Skin option was there along with a couple of other options that were missing in the first workspace. Here's a list of the menu options missing from the File --> New menu in this workspace:

MXML Skin
I'm not sure why those menu options went missing but I was able to work around it by recreating the workspace. I simply created a new workspace, copied all of the projects into the new workspace folder and then imported all of my projects into the new folder. I then had a full set of menu items.
I poked around a bit trying to figure out what went wrong but wasn't able to find a conclusive answer. My best guess is that it has something to do with the fact that I was previously running the Flex 4 beta and that's when I created the workspace with the problem. I compared the workspace .metadata folder and, curiously, there were 25 folders inside the .plugins folder for the problem workspace but only 12 for the newly created one.

This is an eclipse thingy, menus get cached in the workspace' metadata. If you try using a newer build of Flash Builder with a workspace from the previous version, you may notice this behavior.
The workaround is to create a new workspace and import all projects there.

Missing "Time zone" tab - Webaccess build #100937

We have installed the new build for GroupWise - build #100937.
When using Webaccess , under "Options" the "Time zone" tab is missing.
The "Time zone" tab was present before upgrading to build #100937.
Any Suggestions to solve this?

Yeah, that's correct. The problem is if you use ANYTHING to do single sign on (formfill in NAM, or some other web technology), it doesn't pass the java codes correctly, so it actually strips off the timezone code, so you get times that are off by 4 hours.
But the bug is actually in WebAccess, not NAM.
I'm supposedly getting a build to test to see if it's resolved.

MaxDB UpdAllStats - missing optimizer statistics for one name space

Hi experts,
every weekend the job UpdAllStats runs in the SAP systems hosted by us (weekdays just PrepUpdStats+UpdStats). Now we're facing the issue that in one system there are no optimizier statistics for all tables in one special name space - let's call it /XYZ/TABLE1 etc.
We randomly checked tables in that name space via DB20/DB50 and no optimizer statistics could be found. So we randomly checked other tables like MARA, VBAK etc. - all optimizer statistics up to date for those tables.
We even started the statistics refresh via DB20 manually for one of the tables - still no optimizer statistics appearing for this table.
I mean it's an update over all optimizer statistics - I rechecked note 927882 - FAQ: SAP MaxDB UPDATE STATISTICS and some others but couldn't find any reason for these tables being exluded. Especially I don't understand why the manual statistics refresh wouldn't work...
Does anybody have an idea why this could happen?

We figured out that in MaxDB Database Studio you can see the optimizier statistics but not in the SAP system itself.

I created a company hierarchy in -Master Data/Consolidation Units/Company- UCWB
Then I go to Monitor UCMON and I cannot see the hierarchy.
I configurated in 2005 period 012 Version 100
I am trying to see the hierarchy in UCMON and I am usint the same time and the same version.
How can I do to see the hierarchy in the monitor....
This is a big problem because I did a task and I cannot execute it because there are not companies in the monitor.

Missing Buttons in Blueprint Application Builder

Hi,
I am using Blueprint Application Builder to customize the iViews for SAP CRM Business Package.
When BAB is launched, I can only see Application and View dropdown list and the Load Application button. That is all, no other buttons for me to save or launch Designer. What could be wrong?? I have already activated service CRM_BSP_BAB_DSS and CRM_BSP_BAB_DIS.
After selecting a Application and iVew, I click on the Load Application. The preview of the iView appears but no other buttons can be seen on the left panel except Load Application.
Any clue??

Missing over 600 gb of HD space.

I have a late 2013 iMac, running on OS X Yosemite 10.10.1, with a 1TB HD, and in "About This Mac", it says I have over 600 GB of "Movies" in my storage. There is absolutely no way. I have gone into almost every folder, and used the "Get Info", and there is absolutely no folders with that much space used. I have deleted everything I don't use, and am in the process of moving all my pictures to my iCloud. I don't know how to figure out where this HD space went! Can someone please help!!??

I had a similar issue in that my HDD was nearly full, but going into finder and adding up the folder sizes left 300Gb unaccounted for. The main difference with you is that my unnacounted-for storage showed up in the 'others' section rather than under 'movies'. After much screwing around, I discovered that 'versions' was the cause of my issue – these file snapshots are stored locally, not on your Time Machine drive.
Here's the full thread for you to trawl through - Hard Drive nearly full, but can't see why.
Long story short – I downloaded OnyX and deleted the versions and claimed back over 300Gb of space. In my case, the versions all came from iBook Author, as that is the only app I use that supports versioning.

"Missing" 4GB+ of previous iPad storage space

A couple of us have noticed that after restoring our "New" iPads from iPad 2 backups about 4GB+ of previously storage space has disappeared. Anybody else seeing this? If so, does anyone know what happened to it? New app requirements, perhaps? Just curious.

The apps that have been enhanced for the retina display are signifcantly larger.

Can't Get Missing Album Artwork 7 Consolidating "orphaned" songs into one a

Hi, I have two problems with artwork and managing albums:
1. itunes does not find the artwork. The vast majority of the albums are by the most popular rock bands, but itunes can not find the artwork and says that it does not exist.
Any ideas? Could it be an issue of formatting the songs? I recently transferred all of my songs over from and XP machine to a Vista machine.
2. When I import CDs, itunes often splits or orphans a few songs as separate, so they show up as their own album. This seems to happen when the main artist is singing a duet, or when the CD is a compilation of many artists. Any ideas of how to "merge" them into one album?

Hey there,
Regarding your album artwork, you need to make sure the artist name and the album name are entered in your iTunes libary exactly as they appear in the iTunes store. iTunes compares your library to the store collection to find matches and download album art for you, but it doesn't read the information the same as you or I would. The characters have to match one for one, including no spaces at the end of the artist or album name. The easiest way to circumvent character mismatches is to highlight all of the tracks of an album (control clicks or shift clicks) and click File > Get Info. You can then enter this information once and it will apply to each track.
Regarding the album splits, what you'd want to do is highlight all the tracks of the album and click File > Get Info. Enter the artist's name under both the Artist and the Album Artist fields, and enter the album name in the Album field.

SpryAutoSuggest missing in DW version 11 build 4964

I cannot download and install the SpryAutoSuggest which is included in the Spry Prerelease 1.6.1 (http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=labs_spry) for Dreamweaver version 11 build 4964. I get an incompatible error when using DW's Extension Manager.
The instructions provided at http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/articles/spry_primer/index.html and http://livedocs.adobe.com/en_US/Spry/SDG/help.html?content=WSC3C2FB9C-28EA-4a27-BBF4-96840 DBDF941.html are less than usefull when it comes to installing and/or locating the widget.
Any help would be appreciated.

You already have Spry pre-installed in DW CS5 (aka ver 11)
SpryAutoSuggest is not part of the installation and must be hand coded by simply adding the JS file to your document, creating a constructor and functions.
