Missing Entry in Security Zones

Hi all,
Im trying to build a User how "only" has access to the PAR-Uploader in the Portal (System Administration --> Support --> Support Desk --> ("Portal Anywhere" Admin Tools" -->) Administration Console.
My idea for a solution was to create a role with a delta-linked iView to the source iView (Portal Content --> Content provided by SAP --> Admin Interfaces --> Admin iView Templates --> Support Desk). After asigning the new role to my new User and logging in to the Portal, i can see the "overview" mask (System Administration --> Support --> Support Desk), but by calling the "Portal Runtime" (to upload the PAR) I will get an Execption.
In the NWA I found two:

With this exeptions I'd take a look to the security zone and -as not expected- the entry "com.sap.portal.system/security/sap.com/NetWeaver.Portal/high_safety/com.sap.portal.support.desk" is missing".
And Ideas to solve my problem (allow a User to access the PAR-Uploader) or to solve the missing security zone entry?

thanks for your reply, but the situation is that there is NO entry for the support desk.
My suggest path is (at permissions) exactly as yours:

As descriped: there is no entry like suggested - also nothing similar (for the fact, the title is not equal to the ID).

I am in the process of installing EP7 on SLES9 and MaxDB 7.6 on a clustered HA environment where the SCS, DB and JC components are installed under and referenced by their virtual hostname (eg. sapinst SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME <virt name>).

The same problem occurs if I try to deploy this package or any other package using SDM in standalone or integrated mode.
configtool -> Secure Store -> admin/host/<SID> is the virtual hostname of the JC instance.
I've tried the following to no avail:
- Changed configtool -> Secure Store -> admin/host/<SID> to be the physical hostname of the box.
- Changed configtool -> Server -> Dispatcher -> Service -> P4 -> bindhost (from 0.0.0.0 to JC virt IP).
- Changed the <Host> entry in sdmrepository.sdc from <phys hostname> to <jc virt hostname>.
The SAPLOCALHOST, SAPGLOBALHOST all seem to be set correctly in the SAP profiles.
Has anyone had this issue? If so, what do I need to check/change? Any ideas?
Notice the message does not reference the <SID> in "admin/host", could this be related to the issue? If so, what can cause this?

Just an update, I was able to get around my problems by patching the 2004s media from sp6 to sp8, uninstalling my scs, and database and re-installing from the patched media.

Secure Zone Re-entry Link

Hi everyone,
I am working on a client site at the moment, which has over 40 secure zones. Each secure zone has special product and prices. Each secure zone will be accessed by multiple people. However, people in one secure zone will not be able to access another secure zone. This is all easy to figure out.
Customers, while logged in to their secure zone may browse around their own secure zone, they may want to also shop on the regular site, then go back to their secure zone again - my question - how do I create a link that stays on a site template that has their Secure Zone landing page re-entry link? I am trying to avoid having customers have to "log-in" again.

Hi there,
If you use a web app submission to upload files those files are just stored into folders which can be read by search engines. BC does not make folders or files secure and thus any file uploaded can be accessed.
If you want a client to upload a file to you and keep it from search engines if you use a custom web form that file uploaded is stored in the case and only retrievable in the admin of the system.

Help with secure zone/ forum registration

Im having difficulty grasping the secure zone concept and ive spent days watching videos and reading online so I hope someone can help push me forward.
I built the site with Muse, and im using dreamweaver and the BC site (older view) to help edit. I have a creative cloud subscription.
First I want to create a registration page to collect custom information on users, for example: The site is about traveling, so I want users to be able to select which countries they have visited, upload a photo, and control their own profile.
I want this user information to control the forums, their own blog, and their own photo galleries.
I'm not afarid of doing the work it till take to get this done but I dont understand if I need to use webforms, or web app. The forums module has a default registration page that is very basic, can I use that for a template and just expand it?
Also I attempted to make webforms and use them, however when I publish my site live again in muse, it seems to delete any forms I made in BC, do I need finish using muse and stay away from it now that the basics are complete?

You can not do that in BC exactly. It is not designed for that sort of site.
You can not use the CRM to build that sort of thing.
You will need to build a blog with webb apps and allow them to submit their own and edit their own web app items. For the forums you have a login for the forums but you can not have their own indevidual forum.
Photo gallery - not using the BC module and will again have to be a web app and limited.
To pull that into a public profile you again can not use the CRM as showing their CRM information is ONLY when THEY are logged in. You would have to replicate their data in another web app. And pulling them together will be hard unless you know ajax etc and still complicated.
You probably better off using a different platform to achieve what your after. Coming from Muse and what that outputs as well your going to have a hard time of it. You can not use Muse to publish if you want more stuff like this because it will just do an all in one publish. If you do stick with BC you have to now Ditch Muse if you watn to do any of this right and more.

Single form for secure zone registration and web app submission?

Is it possible to setup a form where a user can simultaneously register for a secure zone and submit a web app entry? The knowledge base / tutorials describe a two step process (web form for secure zone registration and web app input form for web app submission), but I would like users to be able to do both with a single form

In order to have a customer create a web app item they must be logged into the secure zone already. I've seen some instructions on how to let users submit web app items outside a secure zone but that requires creating a dummy anonymous user and logging them into the secure zone via javascript. You could use this method and once it's submitted you'll have to manually attach the web app item to the correct user in the BC Admin. That might not work for you but you can read more about that at http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-1784
You can't use the above solution with the current user's username and password because those tags are only available when the user is logged into a secure zone already. If your signup form needs to be filled out first, the user isn't logged in.
Your best bet is to have the public signup form redirect the user after submission to an "Add item" form you have created. Maks sure that form is in a secure zone so when they add the item it is attached to their account.
If you don't want to redirect them to a secure zone and want it more seamless you could try to use some javascript/ajax to submit the form via javascript and after the form is submitted, use the javascript code in the above to log them in (be careful to use the https://yoursite.worldsecuresystems.com url if you are passing username and password info gathered from your form to log them in via javascript/ajax). Once they are logged in via the javascript you can use more ajax to fetch a page's HTML that resides in a secure zone. This HTML returned from the javascript can be your "add web app item" form and since they were logged in via javascript (securely, right?) this HTML should contain the right information. Insert this returned HTML into your form container that held the original signup form and they can continue to add a web app item without having to log in.
This is theory and might work but you'll have to start experimenting with it via javascript. I haven't actually tried to do this so hopefully some other community members who might have tried this can weigh in here as well.

WebApps (Liquid) Secure Zone Help

Hoping someone can help me with this... I am developing a Secured Team Portal for a client of mine. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to delve deep into Liquid yet, so, sort of looking for some help here : ). Here is what I want to achieve:
A customer is assigned to a particular secure zone (via my client, securing the customer to a secure zone that relates to them). This customer would only see the web app relates to them only. More than one customer may have access to the same web app item.
Assuming we assign these web app items to a Secure Zone, is there anyway to achieve this easily with Liquid? If so, any tips and tricks?

Hi Aaron,
Ownership in the system of a web app item is limited to 1 person, you can not add to that, change that in any form.
You could have a custom field for a list of peoples names and run a liquid check to see if that name was the same as the person logged in (setting this with javascript on the web app item submission) BUT this is open to issues....
1. If someone made an admin entry and forgot to add or did not put the correct names down.
2. Liquid has a scope limit of only 500 items. You can run if statements, your own collection etc but it effectively only works within that 500 item scope. This is a major issue for me and I am trying to get even feedback from BC on this but they avoiding it at the moment

WSIT Client - missing nodes in Security tab

Hello. Using NetBeans, I am trying to write a WSIT client against a non-WSIT web service that requires the request SOAP body to be signed.
I was looking in:
http://java.sun.com/webservices/interop/reference/tutorial/doc/Security2.html
However, when I select "Edit Web Service Attributes" on my web service reference and go to the Security tab, I only see the following nodes:
- Keystore Configuration
- Secure Token Service Configuration
- Advanced Configuration
I don't see the following (among others):
- Message Parts / Elements To Sign and Encrypt
- Client/Service WSS Requirements
which I believe are what I need.
How do I make them appear? Do they only appear for web services and not for clients? Or do they only appear if the web service I'm hitting is WSIT-based? I hope not. Otherwise, I would not know how to sign my requests.

Facebook Sign Up for Secure Zone

Hi,
Hope some one can help me out.
I have been trying to use facebook module to sign up for my website.
The idea is to use facebook to register, and forward them to their account page.
So, I have followed three tutorials, and I seem to miss something. ( Adobe Page , BC Gurus , and Kiyuco ).
I created the App, on Developers.Facebook.com, I got my APP ID/SEC KEY.
I have then gone to admin panel and in site settings -> Social Integration I have included the APP ID/SEC KEY and the url.. Curently. its : xxxxx.businesscatalyst.com
I have used that link for the APP of Facebook Devs too.
So then I have created the secure zone, I have managed to get myself sign up, so i thought that works.
Then when my friend tried to sign up, he got error saying that it haven't been configured right.
So, i have tried again, then I have even got the app submitted for review.
Still I can't get my friend sign up for my page with facebook.
Help would be appreciated .

You can use whatever WiFi networks are available to you, open or secure ones to which you hae a password. Having used a particular WiFi network in the past has no effect on any future choices.

Change Secure Zone Log In detaila

How do i change the log in and password to a secure zone?

The name in the Login Screen is the "Computer Name," and you should be able to change it in System Preferences>Sharing. Since you've already done a secure erase and install, this is not leftover information from your prior use - it presumably came from the registration form you filled out during SetUp Assistant on the first-boot of the new install. There also may also be an Address Book entry with your name and info, also created by SetUp Assistant.
But as mentioned, to comply with the EULA you would have to go back to the original OS, either on this computer or on the one you are keeping at home.

Restoring Default Permissions - security zones & applications

Hi - We're running EP 6, SP 15
I have stupidly clicked the "reset child permissions" button on three top node folders in the System Admin > Permissions editor. Meaning, of course, that the initial login screen was disabled. While I appreciate how stupid this was and that I shouldn't have done it, does anyone know a quick way of restoiring the Applications, Portal Content and Security Zones folders back to the delivered settings? These are the three folders I reset child permissions on while trying to fix something else.(Doh!)
Chosen method at present is to look at another, untouched portal system,(QAS) use the audit list editor to compare the settings on all objects within these three folders.
This sounds like a fairly big job! Any pointers gratefully received.

thankfully this lists the default settings on the zones. the fix i have applied is to give the Everyone group pemissions READ and END USER at the folder level - is this what most people do? As I understand it the only problem is that Applications are directly accessible through the URL - Are there other issues I am missing?

Secure Zone Customer Activity Tracking

I'm new to Business Catalyst, so this may be obvious to some of you, but I have a question about tracking customer activity on my Business Catalyst site. I can track logins into Secure Zones, but only whether/not the customer has logged into the site.
What I'd really like to do is track a customer's usage of the site - in other words, I'd like to see what a customer's activity looks like on the site. So if a customer goes from Home (secure zone login), to About, to whatever other page. I suppose how much time they spend is too granular, but if I could figure out how to track their site usage, it'd really help me with a client. The only way I can see how to do it on my own is to require users to log in to every single page, which compromises far too much usability.
So, how about it? Is there anyone that can provide a suggestion, either using the BC interface, or using some other type of tracking mechanism?

BC can't do that out of the box. You may want to use Google Analytics for that.

Why do I get these messages "logged in but not to a specific secure zone"

Could anyone please explain why this messge would appear on the dashboard
'username' logged in but not to a specific secure zone
instead of
'username' logged in to Member Only Area secure zone
On this website, customers can only log on to a secure zone, and there is only one secure zone.

Thank you for your response.
There are only two places users could log in, and none have ZoneID=-1
I tested both options with one of my own (non admin account) login, and none produced the above message.

both ZoneID's are the same
What is weird though, only one specific user account is generating that message.
At this stage the user has not complained about not being able to access his/her data yet.
My only concern was that this could be a possible security risk.

How to use single web form for multiple secure zone signup?

I have multiple secure zones in my website. I want to sell membership of secure zones to users of my website. I want, users signup for multiple secure zone of their choice and submit payment. Is it possible if can you please explain a bit or refer me to an doc about it.

I realize this isn't likely, but do you know of a way to allow the user to select the secure zone to be registered (e.g. from a list of multiple secure zones or entering ID of one sz into a text input) from within a single web form? I wonder if this can be passed in through a parameter in the action URL or through a special system field.

How to create a Payment Form for access to multiple secure zones

I'm trying to create a Payment Form that allows the user to select from a dropdown of videos, each of which represents a secure zone page with an embedded video.
What I can't figure out -- and tech chat can't help -- is how to redirect the user to the correct secure zone for the video they purchased.
Videos are are streaming, vimeo embeds, not downloads.
Anyone know how to do this? Can post link to test form if you need it.

This can be done for already available list. Have a look at the following steps:
Create an Empty SharePoint Project, then right click the project, add SharePoint “Layouts” Mapped Folder.
Right click the project name, add New item Application Page, then add the custom code there.
Under Features, add a feature, right click the added feature then add an event receiver, override the FeatureActivated method to set the new edit/new form as the default form.
How to set new form as default form:

To add a custom list form, the best way I think is using SharePoint Designer 2010, it’s very fast.

Can you determine which secure zone you are logged into?

Is there a tag that tells you which secure zones you are logged into and display it on the screen. Or even javascript.

I kind of worked out the you need to pull out the page id out of the URL and display it that way, but it fails if you have more than one page (you could check across all pages that are part of the secure zone I guess).
Any other ideas would be appreciated.
