Missing node in Message Mapping when test mapping??

Experts,
I have the following Mapping Structures:
Sender:
<Recordset> 1-1
   <Records> 1:unbounded
        <field1>1:1
        <field2>1:1
Receiver:
<Recordset> 1-1
    <Header> 1-1
     <Records> 0-unbounded
           <field1>
           < field2>
     <Trailer> 1-1
Mapping is completed for  all fields here.But one thing I notice is on Receiver side : all nodes are Green exept Records - it is Gray with some red smal dot in the gray..
1.Question: What this means?Shouldn't all nodes turn green after mapping is done??
2.When click on TEST on Message MApping I dont even see the Receiver Records node appearing on right(receiver side) But I was able to see Header and Trailer...Why the Records is missing??
On the other hand the result from the test is successfull which is even more confusing ,How come it can be succesful since Records is not there...
I can provide screenshots if needed for more clarity ..Any help is appreciated asap..Thanks much to all!
J...

Hi John,
   It is very simple and there is no complexity with this problem.
  <b> 1.Question: What this means?Shouldn't all nodes turn green after mapping is done??</b>
        If you mapped the source field to the correspoding target field..all the target fields get turn to green color. If you didn't mapp any target field that filed should appear with gray color..comming to the small circle in the recordset field...it is indicates that ..that field is "Unbounded".
   For resolving the above issue...do the mapping like this.
   <Recordset>---><Recordset>
   <Records>-------><Records>
   <field1>----><field1>
   <field2>-----> <field2>1
Keep the empty constant value for the target field Header...
   empty constatnt---->Header.
So once you done this check the mappping it will execute fine and even you able to see the recods node in the target structure.
  Please let me know if you have any queries...!
Thanks and Regards,
Chandu.

  • JAVA Error Messages Thrown When Deploying Map Viewer

    Hello,
    Thank you for taking the time to assist with this problem.
    I am fairly new to java, and so I have little understanding of what certain error messages mean after I deploy Map Viewer through oc4j.
    I have poked around on the Web enough to have a feeling that the application is searching for certain necessary classes, and that it can't fully deploy without these classes. If this is true, where are these classes located and/or how do I point to them so that the application can find them?
    There are one group of errors thrown when attempting to deploy Map Viewer, and then another set when attempting to create a "dynamic data source" from the Map Viewer admin page.

    Do I need to modify a file somewhere to tell Map Viewer where to look for these classes?

    For future reference,
    The problem was finally solved. Someone suggested to me to make sure I was running jdk 1.5.0 by typing "java -version" It turns out I thought I was running 1.5.0, but in actuality I was running 1.4.2.
    The reason this was confusing was because I was pointing to the newer version when exporting the JAVA_HOME env. variable, by typing "export JAVA_HOME=[full path to jdk folder].
    But the trick was to append the full paths for jdk/bin and jdk/jre/bin to the front of the PATH variable. At first I appened the paths to the end of the PATH variable, and nothing happened.
    Basically, the mapviewer installation needs to look at the bin folders for the 1.5.0 version of the jdk.
    You can always test this by typing "java -version." If your PATH variable is correct, then you'll see information on the most recent jdk installation instead of an older version.

  • Long running mapping when using Mapping Transformations

    Hi,
    I have a source table with 8,000 records which I would like to merge using the update/insert operator into my target table. This simple operation takes 15 sec which I am very happy with. The problem I have is when I try to call a series of Functions using Mapping Transformations - when I do this the performance of the mapping is dire - it now takes longer than 40min!!!
    The strange thing is that when I generate the intermediate result and run the code (not including the Merge in to my Target table) in TOAD, the results come back quickly? So I am not sure if there is a problem with the fact that I am using Mapping Transformations or if I am using a Merge on the Target Table...
    I have taken off Parrallel hints on the target table and applied the relevant indexes.
    I am really lost and any help would be most appreciated.
    Regards
    Mitesh

    If you could let us know what kind of functions you are using? I had experienced the same problem while calling a function using a Mapping Transformation. The functions used a cursor and for every source record these function were getting called and the cursor was opened and closed, which caused a performance bottleneck.
    Better write the functions with direct SQLs and no cursors, if possible or use a temporary table, joiner operator or look up operator to achieve the task.
    This should reduce the execution time considerably.

    Unlock the user you are using in the RFC channel and provide the correct password in the channel configuration. Once the channel error is resolved you would be able to test the Mapping sucessfully...
    >>why it is triggering communication channel?
    You would be using RFC lookup in the mapping....

  • Message Mapping vs Interface Mapping test tabs giving different results.

    Hi all,
    I am developing an interface that always requires an output file to be created (even if there is no data).  I have found a way to change my select statement in the JDBC sender to initiate the message even if there isn't any data (using UNION select -1 ID, '' col1, '' col2, etc.) and that seems to work fine.  I then put logic in the message mapping to suppress the row that contains the -1 ID value, which would result in an empty file when there is no other data, and should result in a file containing only the correct data when there is data.
    So, my problem: I am always getting empty files with this logic.  I tested the logic in the message mapping test tab and it worked perfectly, however when I test it using the interface mapping test tab it results in what becomes an empty file!
    My source and destination structures are fairly simple:
    Root
    --row
    ID
    col1
    col2
    The logic I use to suppress the ID = -1 row is:
    =removeContexts([]ifWithoutElse([keepss=true]Not([]equalsS([]ID, Constant([value=-1]))), SplitByValue([type=Each value]row)))
    Obviously, I'm stumped - any help would be appreciated!

  • Message Mapping via Test tab

    Hi All
    I am trying to send a message via the Test tab of the integration server.I have entered all the details like sender and receiver service and sender interface and namespace. The scenario is JDBC to file. I am using EO as qualilty of effort .The scenario is asynchronous .Once i test the payload in message mapping it gives me the correct output values. But when the same payload I paste it and send via the test tab it does not go thru. I mean sometimes I get the same message at both sender and receiver.And other times it goes into error "Split mapping created no messages " .Can anyone please help me on this as to what might be the problem.
    We have used enhanced interface determination in this.Is it due to this????
    The payload appears like this.

    Joe,
    most likely your XSLT is outputting a not well-formed XML message.
    Remove message mapping from the mapping list and execute it again, to check output.
    Also, for mapping debugging in java enhanced function inside XSLT mappings, use the following:
    1st, you need to pass the "inputparam" parameter from the XSLT runtime to the Java function (it needs to be one of the input parameters for the executed java function).
    In the Java code itself, implement the following code:
    AbstractTrace trace = (AbstractTrace) param.get(StreamTransformationConstants.MAPPING_TRACE);
    trace.addInfo("Log your message here!");
    where <i>param</i> is the input parameter refering to the <i>inputparam</i> from XSLT.
    The AbstractTrace and StreamTransformationConstants classes can be found in the aii_map_api.jar file (used in Java mappings).
    Regards,
    Henrique.

    I have a c# code in which I am calling a web service, and c# code returns a string value.

    but when I do test map I get the above above error...Can some one please answer...i m working on BTS2006R2 and i have also tried to test the c# code from a test windows applciation and where does return the values as expected..

    Hi,
    "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation" is a very generic exception. you need the inner exception to see the actual error. You can also try to test the map in the MapTester tool. It also shows also
    the inner exception. It's designed for BizTalk 2010 but with the .exe file you maybe also can test BizTalk 2006 maps,.

    I'm mapping my testing, when manually enter values in the window of my test test is OK, when you import a file, the nodes are shown in red and does not work (the values are placed correctly), I do not understand because it can be,
    very thanks,

    Hi Silvia,
    This can be due to the error with namespace of the message.
    Try saving the XML of the message when you enter the values in Test tab and compare it with the XML that you have got.
    There are bound to be some differences in them.

    You can't convert a null value
    to a meaningful value through Convert.
    Your best option is to check for null first

  • Problem while using Parameters in Message Mapping in Multi Mapping Scenario

    Hi,
    I am working on a scenario in PI 7.1, in which I need to pass output of Message Mapping as an input to ABAP Mapping.
    In Message Mapping, I have used standard RFC Lookup function to call a Function Module from ERP system. For using RFC Lookup function, I have created a Import Parameter of Category "Adapter", and Type "RFC" in the Signature Tab of Message Mapping.
    In Operation Mapping, I have specified both the mappings (that is., Message Mapping and ABAP Mapping).
    In Interface Determination, I have also assigned a value to the Importing Parameter.
    But whenever I trigger a message, it fails and gives message "The input-parameter Rec_RFC_ERP does not exist." (Rec_RFC_ERP is my Input Parameter name).
    When I am using only Message Mapping in Operation Mapping; it's working absolutely fine that means something needs to be done with ABAP Mapping.
    Any help will be highly appreciated.

    Rec_RFC_ERP is this the name of your RFC lookup adapter?? Did you test your mapping in Design time using the RFCAdapter dropdown???

  • Multi Mapping issue - *Split mapping created no messages*

    Hi,
    The scenario I am trying to test is a multi mapping scenario where I am trying to split one source message and create two target messages by using two different inbound service interfaces, one for each message type.
    I am on PI 7.1 and when I test message mapping and operation mapping using the payload from SXMB_MONI, it is successful. Whereas when I test the scenario end to end I am getting the following error messages:
    Runtime error
    *Split mapping created no messages*

    Could someone please help
    Cheers,
    S

    Hi,
    (1)First change the occurrence of target message to 0..unbounded.
    (2) Do the mapping and test it under test tab of mapping whether your mapping is working fine creating target records.
    (3) Copy the source code from mapping and remove the unwanted tags "as Mark said " those were created due to multimapping.
    Then test that file and that will work.
    You can follow this link .

  • File to R3: Unable to test mapping

    Hi,
    I am working on File to R/3 scenario. I plan to use File adapter and IDoc adapter. And I did my message mapping from file fields to "Cremas..01". To my knowledge, I mapped all the required fields. But when I test my mapping by entering the input values, I get the below error:
    23:26:26 Start of test
        Mapping object File_to_R/3 incomplete. Unable to continue execution
      23:26:26 End of test
    Any help or pointers with this error would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Giri

    Hi,
    I think you are not giving mandatory fields in the IDOC. For example BEGIN should give a constant value as "1".
    If you give all the mandatory fields then it will work. Try to give all the values and check F7. still if you found any error it will tell you and you can fix them.
    Thanks,
    krishna chaitanya.

  • Leaf Node with minOccurs 0 and without mapping

    I am developing some new mapping in XI. The above is the message I am getting in XI test. Is this because it is ecpecting all subordinate (idoc)segments to be mapped before testing?
    Thank-You.

    Hi,
    Please check in target message , there may be in red color mandatory field to be mapped. So please map it with actual values/source field or map wit empty constant and you can test.
    And also if the parent node is having the occurences>0 like 0.. unbound or 0.. 999 so , map the source parent node which is having the more no of occur or map with the empty constant.
