Missing one song in purchased CD

I just purchased the moody blues 20th century collection and iTunes won't let me d/l the song called Voice. It keeps saying the file seems to be cprrupted and to redownload using Store ..check for purchases. But this just results in the same error message. Where should I go to get this resolved?

Contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of this web page and explain the problem to them.
Forum Tip: Since you're new here, you've probably not discovered the Search feature available on every Discussions page, but next time, it might save you time (and everyone else from having to answer the same question multiple times) if you search a couple of ways for a topic, both in the relevant forums, in the User Tips Library and in the Apple Knowledge Base before you post a question.

  • Purchased album, but missing one song

I recently bought an album, Gym Class Heroes - The Papercut Chronicles and it is missing one song. On iTunes, there is only 17 songs, but on the actual album, there is 18. I looked on their site and also my friend has the album. What can I do do get the full album? I tried emailing Apple but I'd like to see if somebody here could help me. Also has anybody else dealt with this situation before?
    Thanks.

I'd suggest you contact the iTunes Music Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of this web page and explain the problem to them. They should at least mark it as a partial album, and of course get the track titles sorted (they may have come that way from the record company).

  • Buy Album Does Not Recognize One Song Already Purchased

Many times an artist will release one or two tracks from an upcoming album. I will purchase that song from iTunes. Several weeks later the artist will release the entire album, which I then click on Buy Album. I am charged for the entire album, which includes the song I already purchased. So technically I'm paying for that one song twice.
Is there anyway to avoid this? I know I can click on Buy for each song, but then if there is a special album only version of a song, I would miss out on that.

You can see if the "Complete My Album" option appears for the album in question. That option will be under the Quick Links at the upper-right of the iTunes Store main page. If that option is not available for the album you want, then there's no way around the issue other than buying the tracks individually or buying the full album and accepting that you may get redundant tracks. The availability of the "Complete My Album" option is generally in the control of the record companies and some don't want to make that option available (just as back in the day when you bought a 45 with a popular single and then wanted the entire album you didn't get a credit for the single you'd already purchased).
    Regards.

  • Missing a song from purchase

I just DL'd a CD but there must have been a problem with one song and its now missing. The item has an "!" next to it in my library. When I click on the song, iTunes tells me it "can't be found would I like to search for it...?". I answered yes but it wasn't in my iTunes music folder. Is there a way I can get this music without having to pay for it ? If so, what would I need to contact iTunes support/Apple ? Thanks !

I'm having the same problem; but it's also affecting podcasts. 2 albums that I purchased in mid-May both now show up with next to them and can't be found on the hard drive anywhere. Same goes for several of the podcasts; but not just from mid-May.

  • Missing one song!

Hello. Last night as I was syncing my iTunes I noticed that I have 1873 songs under my music library and it shows that I have 1873 songs under the music tab when my iPod is plugged in as well. Sounds great right. Wrong. Once I turn on my iPod and look at the songs there is only 1872. I've gotten the songs with the exclamation point and I've located them before and all that good stuff but it is nothing like that. They are showing they are all there on the computer but there is still one song missing on my iPod. I know this probably sounds stupid but it drives me absolutely INSANE! Can anyone give me any insight to what the problem may be?

I aplogize, its a 30gb iPod classic. How can you tell if there is a song that is "skipped in shuffle"?
By trying my suggestion above in point 1.)
However, I don't think there was a 30GB Classic, so it's probably a 5th generation iPod, but I think the menu system is the same as the Classic though.
The other thing is - were you playing the iPod in Shuffle mode, because if you were not, then this is not the problem.
So go to Settings/General/About>songs and see how many songs it says. That's the _total songs on the iPod._
Now start a song playing in Shuffle mode. On the *Now Playing* screen, under the songs details, is there a 1 of X showing? (This is where I'm unfamiliar with the 5th Gen display.) If you can see the *1 of X,* what is the X number? X is the _total songs in the shuffle playlist,_ in other words, only the songs that will play in shuffle mode. In theory, it should be the same as the _total songs on the iPod._ If it's one less - there's your problem.
If that test shows that a song is set to *skip on shuffle,* that's why you saw a discrepancy in the total number of songs. How you fix it depends on how many songs you have in total and how much work you're prepared to do to find it.
Providing you use Sync to manage your ipod, the simplest method is to select every song in your iTunes Library and then choose *Get Info/Options.* (Answer yes to the multiple items question) and then look for the *Skip when shuffling* drop-down box. Even if it says No in the box, change it to yes and then back to No and click okay. Once you've done that, connect and Sync your iPod to make the changes on the iPod.
Then simply do that test again to check that the problem is fixed.
The alternative method is to go through the songs in your library and check them individually until you find the one that is causing the issue. (Could be a long job!)

  • Can one song be purchased without DRM?

Is it possible to purchase one song thru iTunes Plus without DRM.? I don't want to upgrade my library at this time, but would like to buy a song without DRM. It would be the same song I previously have and bought with DRM. I'd like to have 2 copies of the same song in my library (1 with, and 1 without DRM) for comparison.

If you want to keep the songs with DRM that are/have been deleted due to upgrading to iTunes Plus, then all you need to do is restore them from the recycle bin. They are put in a folder called 'Original iTunes Purchases' and will stay in that folder when restored, I think back to the iTunes folder...

  • One song on purchased cd not authorized.

Last night I completed an album on iTunes and bought the whole thing. Now it says on track 3 that I'm not authorized to play it. I check the info and it says that it was purchased by my account name, but yet when I try to play and authorize it, it just says that this computer is already authorized. It still won't let me play the track.

I had the same problem with Nessun Dorma performed by Jackie Evancho. I can only assume that something went wrong during the download. I deleted the song from the library. Entered the store and clicked on the button to purchase the single song from the album. I was then notified that I had already purchased the selection and prompted to redownload the selection for free.
I hope this works for you.

  • ITunes repeatedly prompts for computer authorization for only one song

I already tried apple recommended resolutions but unfortunately they were not my resolution. Only one song after purchasing lots of others cannot be played because it asks computer authorization. I'm using windows 7 and itunes is the most recent. Now no one in apple is replying to my email. Did anyone have the similar case like this and solved,, please suggest the solution!

I just solved by myself. I signed on to another computer's itunes and downloaded the song. It looks like no better solution out there. I hope anyone else who encountered the same problem - for the first time and frustrated badly like me - get help from this.

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then see if it shows under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunee. If it shows there but doesn't have the clpud symbol against it for redownloading then is that track listed in the Music part of your library i.e. where you would click on it to play it ? If it is then delete it from there and it should then get the cloud symbol against it in Purchased.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if it re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com . iTunes Support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours.
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

    Hey kbert73
I would do a transfer of purchases from the phone and not sync. If you sync then it will want to start over and sync music that is on the MacBook Pro. If you want to transfer the music, check out the article below that will give you multiple options on how to move. I have also provided on how to sync with multiple computers.

Ok. So my iTunes started acting up a few months ago. ALL of the songs I purchased from the iTunes store stop in the middle of the song and then go back to the begining (I keep it on repeat one song by the way). Please help!!! (Windows 7) I would really like to hear my songs all the way through, but I can't . I tried the "Convert Protected ACC files to Purchased ACC files fix" but it DIDN'T work. I don't know what to do. It does it when I transfer the music onto my Classic too.

What do you mean "doesn't recognize"?

  • I created a new i tunes account and I am trying to add music to my I pod touch but since I had an old account it will not let me add any new songs or let me transfer my existing songs to the new account.  I also purchased one song and it did not download

I just opened a new I tunes account.  The music that I purchased from an old account will not transfer to my new account & the old account email no longer exists it is (djbdeercreek613@com***t.net) and the password would not be accepted when we entered it. I also purchased one song "Country Must Be Country Wide" By Brentley Gilbert and it did not download to my i-pod. please let me know how I can get this problem taken care of.

Apple IDs do not go out of existence.  All purchases are PERMANENTLY associated with whatever ID was used for the purchase.  Go here to investigate.

  • I purchased an album on iTunes and all songs downloaded, but one song is not associated with my Apple ID (I can't play it).

I bought an album from iTunes. All of the songs play except one. When I double click on it, a message comes up saying this computer is not authorized to play it, asking me if I want to authorize the computer. Yet when I log in with my ID, the response is that the computer is already authorized.  Then it skips to the next song. I have updated iTunes through software update and am using 11.0.4 (4). I have tried to reboot the computer but the situation stays the same.
I also deleted the file from iTunes to try re-downloading it. The song appears in my list of purchased songs, but when I try to download it again, I get an error message that says "This computer is already associated with an Apple ID. If you download past purchases with your Apple ID, you cannot auto download or download past purchases with a different Apple ID for 90 days." My options at this point are a "Transfer" button or a "Cancel" button. Transfer what? What is it talking about?? I purchased and downloaded the complete album at once, obviously with the same Apple ID---the ONLY Apple ID I have ever had and the ONLY Apple ID ever used on this computer! How is one song mysteriously associated with a different account? What is the point of purchasing music legally if it doesn't work? Can anyone help me get this song to play in iTunes? The other strange thing is that it plays just fine in finder.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated!

If only one track on the album is throwing that message, that suggests the track is damaged.
If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.

  • My daughter accidentally dumped my iTouch into the tub.  It is ruined.  How can I receive my one time regrant on all the songs I've lost.  There were approximately 80 songs I purchased on iTunes.  They get me through the day!  Please help!

My daughter accidentally dumped my iTouch into the bath tub.  It is ruined.  How can I receive my one time regrant to get back the 80 plus songs I purchased and downloaded on iTunes?  I'm devastated....please help!  My husband bought me the new iPhone4 for my new Mother's Day gift.  I would like to download all the songs I lost.  Thank you so much!

You can redownload the songs as many times as you want, the "one time regrant" no longer exists. Make sure you are using the same apple id on both your dead itouch and your iphone 4. On your iphone 4 go to the itunes app > Purchased (may be under more based on your settings) at the top click not on this iphone, click all songs then click the little cloud next to each song you want to redownload. It will prompt you for your id and password and the begin your download
