Missing Packages for Redhat

OS=Redhat 5
Oracle 11.2.0.1
During the installation of Oracle, I ran into some issues with missing packages. As a result, I could not complete the installation. Does anyone know where I can dowlonad free redhat 5 packages? I tried looking online and the ones I've downloaded does not seem to work.
Jin

Some packages have a circular dependency. The solution would probably have been to install them together:
<pre>
rpm -Uvh elfutils-libelf-devel-0.137-3.el5.x86_64.rpm \
elfutils-libelf-devel-static-0.137-3.el5.x86_64.rpm
</pre>
or use yum instead of rpm which resolves dependencies automatically. the --nodeps is usually not a good idea because it installs software regardless of failing dependencies, which can break your system.

The CS3 I recently downloaded and installed seems to be
    missing a lot of packages.
    I don't have flash.media package, I don't have ascb.util. I'm
starting to notice there are a number of componenets that are
    missing from my FirstRun/Classes/FP9 folder.
Is there a place where I can officially obtain all those
(rather than finding out one at a time because my code doesn't
    work)?

    Looks interesting, photonX .
according to nvidia gc toolkit,  cg development stopped with version 3.1 from april feb 2012 .
Going forward, we recommend new development with GLSL, or HLSL for Windows applications, rather than Cg.
Maybe racer-nocg will in time become better then racer-cg ?

  • Personal Information iViews missing in Business Package for E.S.S.

    Hi all,
we have imported the business package for Employee Self-Service (ERP2005, Release 1.0 for nw2004s) in our portal. The iViews for the application 'Personal Information' (like 'Address', 'Bank Information',...) are language dependent and in the portal content all languages are visible -except Finland. According to the online documentation it should be there but it isn't.
Does anyone know why it is missing??
    Thanks in advance
    Karsten

    Ajendla,
The personal information Iview has Personal data, address, Familymemebers/dependents, and bank details serivces. So you have to configure the corresponding infotypes 0002, 0006, 0021, 0009 and their subtypes in the  IMG activity under "employee-selfservice. Sorry, I cannot give the exact path, coz I am not infront of the SAP system now.
Any way, hope this helps. If it does award points.
    Have a Merry christmas.

    I did a :
    pacman -Syu
    pacman -S staging/supertux
    supertux
Then it complains about missing libmikmod.so.2
I rebooted and retried. No success.
    The I did a
    pacman -S libmikmod
    and it worked !
Have other people experienced that issue ?
    When I do a
    ldd /usr/bin/supertux
    , the libmikmod is mentioned.
However, pacman did not install it with the package...
Did I find a missing dependency for that package or am I doing something wrong ?

It's a bug in sdl_mixer, I noticed this with another SDL game when I wanted to package it, it complained about no sound because of a non-working SDL_Mixer. Installing libmikmod resolved the problem.

  • "manage nuget packages for solution" is missing in the drop down for NuGet Package Manager

    Hi,
I have VS2013 Ultimate on windows 7 PC and that Nuget Option does show in the dropdown.  Today, I setup a vm in Azure, from image I select VS2013 Ultimate, just like the one on my PC.  However, when I click on the Tools, Nuget, there is only 2
drop down option, "package manager console" and "package manager settings" are the only 2 available.  How can I get the ""manage nuget packages for solution"?
I want to install the xamarin.forms extension and I need this.
    thank you
    Thank you

    Hi laJasmine,
Based on your issue, generally, I know that there have two ways to see the "manage nuget packages for solution" option after we install the VS2013 Ultimate.
One way is that it is default that we can see the "manage nuget packages for solution" option by right click this Solution->Manage NuGet Packages for Solution option like the following screen shot.
Another way is that we can see the "manage nuget packages for solution" option by clicking the Tools->Library Package Manager-> manage nuget packages for solution like the following screen shot.
So please check if you can get the "manage nuget packages for solution" option from this above two way again.
If you still could not the "manage nuget packages for solution" option in this VS2013 Ultimate, to check if this issue is related to the VS2013 Ultimate set up file. I suggest you could try to copy this setup file and then install it on other machine
and then check if you still get the issue.
If you have any updated message about this issue, please tell me.

  • [SOLVED] Missing package () function for PyTyle2

Hi, I was trying to install this tarball from the AUR: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=42541
But it prompts the following error:

I've read the PKGBUILD and have no idea why this is happening. I already installed the dependencies needed.

Read the pacman output, it refers to the package() function and makepkg doesn't find it in the PKGBUILD as said. Ask the maintainer to update or orphan it, if he doesn't respond file an AUR request.

    package openmotif21 is not installed
I would like to know the exact names of the packages that are needed and where can i get them.
    Thanking you in advance

    Step No. 1
First of all you have to install the default package selection while installing RHEL 5.4 x-86. Thereafter you need to install the following rpms manually
    1.      glibc-devel-2.5-24.i386.rpm
    2.      libaio-0.3.106-3.2.i386.rpm
    3.      sysstat-7.0.2-1.el5.i386.rpm
    4.      java-1.4.2-gcj-compat-src-1.4.2.0-40jpp.115.i386.rpm
    5.      compat-gcc-34-c++-3.4.6-4.i386.rpm
    6.     compat-gcc-34-3.4.6-4.i386.rpm
    7.      compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-61.i386.rpm
    8.      compat-libstdc++-295-2.95.3-85.i386.rpm
    Step No. 2
    Edit the "/etc/redhat-release" file
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.4 (Tikanga)
    to
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 4.4 (Tikanga)
    Step No. 3
While installing you may encounter the following error
Exception java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /tmp/OraInstall2009-10-01_09-18-29AM/jre/1.4.2/lib/i386/libawt.so: libXp.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory occurred..
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /tmp/OraInstall2009-10-01_09-18-29AM/jre/1.4.2/lib/i386/libawt.so: libXp.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
to overcome this error, you have to install the following packages
    libXpm-3.5.5-3
    libXp-1.0.0-8
    libXpm-devel-3.5.5-3
$ rpm -Uvh libXp-* --nodeps  (This option is given to avoid any dependency problem)

  • Missing packages in Software Update

    Hello,
I wanted to report a problem with software update. We have multiple different T540p models here at work, some are i7s and some are i5s. We do a fresh clean install of Windows to remove all of the bloatware, then run system update to fetch all of the drivers. The i7 models pickup all of the drivers fine, while the i5 models are missing some software packages. I believe system update works by associating your machine type/id with the backend. It will then give you a list of all of the drivers/software required for your system.
The only missing package I noticed is the Hotkeys Features Integration with 8.1 . I know this can be downloaded manually but wanted to pass this along.
    Product ID: 20BE004FUS
    Serial # isn't needed
    Thanks.

When you say "FN Key Manager", are you talking about Hotkeys Features Integration, or something else?
Are you deploying Win7 or Win8.1?

  • ULN oracle-validated, Note 761566.1 and database packages for OEL 5.5

I purchased the ULN to simiplify installing the packages for an Oracle E-Business installation. I'm assuming the oracle-validated is not for E-Business installation because there were several required packages from note 761566.1 that were not installed The note also has a list of 11.1.0.7 required packages. Not all of these were installed with the oracle-validated update either. Maybe i'm not doing it correctly?
If so, how do you use the oracle-validated to apply all the required packages. What channels do I subscribe to for the oracle-validated to work correctly.
    I am on OEL 5.5
I am subscribed to two channels the latest for 5.5 and 5.5 x64 per a previous thread.
Packages listed in note 761566.1 that I'm having trouble with:
There are 3 parts to the package installation section.
    1. You have to go to http://oss.oracle.com/projects/compat-oracle/files/Enterprise_Linux to get a couple packages not on the OEL installation disk. Are these also on the ULN update someplace?
    •openmotif21-2.1.30-11.EL5.i3861
    •xorg-x11-libs-compat-6.8.2-1.EL.33.0.1.i386
    2. A list of packages for release 5 and up
There were more than this not updated from oracle-validated from the ULN but these are the trouble ones:
This is on the list of required:
    •glibc-2.5-18.i686 (32-bit)
    •glibc-2.5-18.x86_64
    •glibc-common-2.5-18.x86_64
    •glibc-devel-2.5-18.i386 (32-bit)
    •glibc-devel-2.5-18.x86_64
This is what is on the server after ULN update
    glibc-2.5-49.el5_5.7 (i686)
    glibc-2.5-49.el5_5.7 (x86_64)
    glibc-common-2.5-49 (x86_64)
    glibc-devel-2.5-49.el5_5.7 (i386)
    glibc-headers-2.5-49.el5_5.7 (i386)
Is glibc-2.5-49.el5_5.7 (i686) a newer version of •glibc-2.5-18.i686 (32-bit) ? if so, then where do I get the same version that is synonymous with •glibc-devel-2.5-18.x86_64 ?
If i try to apply •glibc-devel-2.5-18.x86_64 I get stuck in a loop.
This is what is on the 5.5 linux disk:.
    glibc-2.5-49.i686.rpm
    glibc-devel-2.5-49.i386.rpm
    glibc-2.5-49.x86_64.rpm
    glibc-common-2.5-49.x86_64.rpm

    glibc-utils-2.5-49.x86_64.rpm
    glibc-headers-2.5-49.x86_64.rpm
    3. Additionally, the following RPMs are required for an 11gR1
I would have thought at least these packages would have installed from the oracle-validated update, but they weren't. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.
The following are listed in the note to be installed: I get stuck in a loop with this one too. What do I do about this?
    •elfutils-libelf-devel-0.125-3.el5.x86_64
    •elfutils-libelf-devel-static-0.125-3.el5.x86_64

Is glibc-2.5-49.el5_5.7 (i686) a newer version of •glibc-2.5-18.i686 (32-bit) ? if so, then where do I get the same version that is synonymous with •glibc-devel-2.5-18.x86_64 so I don't have to remove all the UNL updates and apply what is on the installation disk?

  • Missing package... it's been 2 months and still no "refund"

     Hi,
Sometime in late March/early April, I filed a missing package report for a pair of headphones I ordered online. Two weeks later, I called up Best Buy about the status of the order, and was told that UPS did an investigation and concluded that the package was lost.
Support told me they would credit me the amount back to my credit card in about 3-5 business days.
    It's been two months. I haven't gotten a refund.
I'm not sure whether I should post my reference number here, but it seems like you guys are just stalling me. This is ridiculous. My credit card billing statement is due really soon, and I have an outstanding balance for a pair of headphones I didn't even receive.
Can someone PLEASE fix this for me? You guys have a very unprofessional, roundabout way of doing things. One of the support members I called acted as if she didn't even know what a reference number was.

    Hello jbtb07,
Welcome to the forum! After almost two months of trying to sort out an order issue, I can understand why you would be fairly fed up with dealing with this issue. I am sorry to hear that you may not have ever received the headphones, and that you are still trying to find a resolution to this.
Using the email address you registered with your forum, I was able to locate the order. It appears that a resolution was provided to you, and so I am sending you a private message with further details.
