Missing Push Notification Entitlement

Hello all,
I am trying to submit my app to the store, but everytime I finish submittint I get an email with a warning:
Missing Push Notification Entitlement
I'm using Xcode 5 and looks like all the documentation I found regarding this issue is irrelevant.
I'm looking in my App Id and do see the push service production and development checked.
I see no related capability in Xcode.
Anything I should enable within Xcode to resolve this?

Yup, i have the same issue here. AIR 3.5.something, Flash Builder 4.7 ... i received the damn mail today just seconds after successfully uploaded the app with Application Loader Version 2.8 (321). I didn't used any Push Notification services functionalities neither enabled it in the distribution provisoning profile. Like Alan_Haugen says the tone of the words make you believe that everything is fine, and that next time you upload stuff, take care to fix that. Don't know, will wait to see if the app will be approved.
Adobe please don't get angry now - but maybe is time to take problems that developers using your technology have - more seriously. You know, we are the last ones defending your frontiers in the AIR / FLASH frontlines and maybe we deserved more attention here ???? I mean the answer you placed here is the same if someone had mechanical car issues, and you suggest him to try to stop the car and start the car again then all troubles will be gone. Cmmon.
I mean there is only few calls to Apple needed and few hours of investigation to get there. And I think at least you can give us some credibility if you make us believe you are investigating the issue, and not redirect us off to stackoverflow - just like we are from Mars, and we didn't heard about it until today.
I'm really sorry for maybe a litlle harsh words, and really i would like to continue to use AIR / FLASH technologies but you must understand and i'm 100% sure that more or less all people springling around here are in enterprises. And in enterprises there are no answers like maybe, don't know, not sure, will see, etc. Because with such answers you're dead in less than needed to close one eye.

  • "Missing Push Notification Entitlement" when submitting Air app to IOS AppStore

    After submitting my Air app (and update to the existing app) to the App Store, I've received an automated message from itunesconnect stating that my app is ""Missing Push Notification Entitlement". The full message is as follows:
    Dear developer,
    We have discovered one or more issues with your recent delivery for "xxxx". Your delivery was successful, but you may wish to correct the following issues in your next delivery: Missing Push Notification Entitlement - Your app appears to register with the Apple Push Notification service, but the app signature's entitlements do not include the "aps-environment" entitlement. If your app uses the Apple Push Notification service, make sure your App ID is enabled for Push Notification in the Provisioning Portal, and resubmit after signing your app with a Distribution provisioning profile that includes the "aps-environment" entitlement.
    I've submitted multiple updates and never had this issue. Furthermore, I don't use push notifications, and as far as I can tell they are not enabled (nor where they ever configured or enabled) in the relevant app id on the developer portal nor in the application.xml. My Air app, as far as I can tell, isn't including any classes that are used to receive push notifications either.
    Any thoughts, ideas?

  • Push-notifications do not work when iPad connected to wifi

    Both my iPads (iPad 2 and The New iPad) successfully connected to home wireless network. Internet works in general: I can browse web-pages through Safari, check emails via Mail, games send data to Game center, etc. But number of Apple apps do not work, such as FaceTime, Messages and push-notifications. When I connect to my phone's 3G hot-spot, these apps work fine, and I get dozens of missed push-notifications. I think, problem in wi-fi router settings, but I can't find out what's wrong. I've tried to change  MTU value to 1400, change 802.11 mode to g-only and switch off router's firewall - nothing changes. How should I set up my router to make it work? Thank you!

  • APNS - push notification - missing close & view buttons!

    The Remote Notification PG states
    "Note: If you want the iPhone or iPod touch device to display the message text as-is in an alert that has both the Close and View buttons, then specify a string as the direct value of alert..."
    I am doing that but then I send a push notification I only get the 2 buttons in the alert when the springboard is showing. If my screen is locked (and dimmed) I get an alert with NO buttons!
    Unlocking then causes the app to run, there is no choice for the user.
    Am I missing something? Is it supposed to work this way?
    Thanks

    This is the way it is supposed to work.
    With the device locked, the following is the default behavior for Push notifications (as well as SMS and calendar alerts):
    • no buttons are shown
    • the "Slide to unlock" text in the slider changes to "Slide to view" (when the notification first arrives)
    • if the user at this point unlocks the device, the application will be presented (identical to clicking the "View" button when the notification appears on an unlocked device
    • if the user ignores the notification at this point and the device returns to its fully locked state (screen turns off again), the unlock screen will show "Slide to unlock" again - unlocking the device at this point will not open the application (i.e., identical to clicking "Close" on the notification if it arrives while the device is unlocked
    • in order to unlock the device yet ignore a notification, you can press the power button at the top of the device to blank out the screen and then immediately unlock the device

  • Yahoo and Gmail are missing push inbox option in iOS 6.1.4

    Dear all,
    I would really appreciate of someone comes with a solution for push notifications using yahoo and gmail on iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1.4.
    I am missing option for push notifications in bough email accounts (yahoo and gmail).
    I have read somewhere that it has been cut for the native companies. If this is the case then I am missing some of the most distinguished features on the iPhone because these are the email account I am regularly using.
    I have tried with yahoo and gmail apps but it seems it is ot working for me well. I would rather have integrated email in the mail app.
    Any comments, suggestions and informations will be very appreciated.
    Thank you in advance
    Victor

    Gmail does not support push email in the native iOS mail app. I can't comment on Yahoo as I dumped them years ago because their servers were so unreliable.
    If it makes you unhappy, contact Google and Yahoo. There's nothing anyone else can do about it.

  • Upon transferring from 4s to 5s, some push notifications stopped. How do I get them back?

    I transferred my data from my old iPhone 4s to my new iPhone 5s and some of my push notifications (like from AP Mobile, Dark Sky, Weather) stopped working. These notifications still arrive on my iPad 3, so that's how I know that there are notifications that I am missing.
    What I've tried: I've deleted, for example, the AP Mobile app, restarted the phone and then reinstalled the app from the cloud. I've repeatedly turned off its settings and turned them on in the Notification area of Settings. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Should I have done a sync with iTunes after I deleted the app?
    What still works: turning on an app's push notifications for the first time works as expected, and the push notifications from Apple's own iOS7 apps work fine.

  • Messy Push Notifications on iPhone 4 running iOS 6.0.1

    Well guys, I have an iPhone 4 running iOS 6.0.1. Initially push notifications for all apps worked fine. I never missed a notification on any of the apps especially Facebook. I even got every notification about friends and pages I have liked on facebook. Recently, I only started getting sound notifications (no banners no alerts) for pages or friends I had subscribed to. Other notifications worked fine like Timeline posts, messages, friend requests, events e.t.c But recently even those notifications stopped working and not only for facebook but a few of the other apps as well. One of the weirdest things was that I still seem to be getting some notifications when my device is an unlocked state. But when my device is locked I am hardly getting any notifications for apps like Facebook and Twitter. Any one here who has encountered the same problem? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    I might do that eventually but right now I have so much app data and  settings and configurations on it I cant risk changing the iOS because i  will lose most of it that way. Isn't there a way of resetting all the  Push notifications settings and preferences in order to get working  again from scratch?

  • Push Notifications keep disabling?

    I've noticed the last few days since I have updated to iOS7 and updated the facebook and twitter apps my push notifications for facebook and twitter seem to keep vanishing overnight. When I wake up in the morning I see I've had no notifications from either app overnight and they are gone from my notification center. I have to launch both apps when I wake up and I will get the pop up asking to authorize the app to send notifications and I click OK. Then I have to go into the notification center in the settings where they will now be back in the list where they always were and change back from banners to alerts.
    I go through the day fine and will then get alerts sent to me all day for everyone and everything I have set them up to send to me then overnight the next night I get none again and in the morning I have to go through this all over again. No notifications all night and I have to launch both apps and get the message asking to authorize push notifications which I will OK again then have to go into the notification center to change back to alerts from the banners. At first I thought it was something with the Twitter app but now facebook has started doing it as well so I don't think it's an issue with just the Twitter app. Maybe it's because I'm still on the iPhone 4 (thank you contract agreements & not being able to upgrade) and something is glitching with it? I don't know. It's played well with iOS7 otherwise. I depend on the alerts to catch up on what I miss during the day so I really don't want to have to remember to go into these apps every morning to re-authorize the push notifications then go to the notification center to reset them to "alerts" so I don't still miss smething because it then defaults to the useless banners again. Anybody else seeing this issue?

    It's not happening as frequently but it is still happening to me. I wouldn't care quite as much if Apple didn't decide to make "banners" the default. I have everything set for "alerts" so when they all go away I then have to go into every app and OK the push notifications again then go into the settings to change them back to "alerts" from the defaulted "banners". Come on Apple either fix this or at least give us the option to set "alerts" as our default notification setting. Not all of us like the banners!!! I hate them!!!
    Also as an unrelated annoyance I've also now had to turn off my Twitter's badge app icon because it will constantly show a "1" now. I've deleed the app, info, changed passwords, unlinked the account, linked it back, all multiple times and it stil continues to show the red circled "1" badge app. Since that has happened since the last Twitter update I'm sure it's an issue there with their app and nothing on Apple's end but it's just as annoying.

  • Push notifications not working

    Hi all,
    i have Facebook viber skype and i don't seem to get push notifications for these apps ie when there closed and im on the metro i don't receive calls or texts but when i open and on the app i then start to get calls text come through?
    why is this, can anyone help me out
    many thanks
    rob

    I've found that real time push notifications can be a bit hit and miss which means I generally miss quite a bit from friends and family. This in general only seems to affect instant messaging but not SMS so I haven't really been that concerned. However, I can appreciate how annoying this is to not get a live notification when one of your mates sends you a message or whatever.
    I've personally learned be a little bit **bleep** by checking all of my services on a regular basis just to be sure I don't miss anything. That being said, we shouldn't have to do that so here's hoping for an update to address this issue.

  • EWS Push Notification : Notification Service is not getting called from Exchange Server.

    I have written 2 web services 1) Subscribing to Exchange Server 2) Notification client
    I am able to create subscription to Exchange Server. But from Exchange server my notification client webservice is nt getting called. I am not sure how i am missing out any setting. below is my subscribe code and notification client code.
    Subscribe code :
    ExchangeService service = new ExchangeService(ExchangeVersion.Exchange2010_SP1);
                    service.UseDefaultCredentials = true;
                    service.Url = new Uri(exchangeServerurl);
                    FolderId parentId= FindFolderIdByDisplayName(service, "Order", WellKnownFolderName.PublicFoldersRoot);
                     pushSubscription = service.SubscribeToPushNotifications(
                                new FolderId[] {FindFolderIdfromRoot(service, "EmpCreatealert", parentId)},
                                new Uri(notificationService)         /* The endpoint of the listener. */,
                                1                              /* Get a status event every 5 minutes if no new events
    are available. */,
                                null                           /* watermark: null to start a new subscription. */,
                                EventType.NewMail);
    Notification client :
     public class Notification : NotificationServicePortType, INotification
            public SendNotificationResponse SendNotification(SendNotificationRequest request)
                log("Enter SendNotification");
                SendNotificationResponse snr = new SendNotificationResponse();
                snr.SendNotificationResult = new SendNotificationResultType();
                snr.SendNotificationResult.SubscriptionStatus = SubscriptionStatusType.OK;
                return snr;
    Can anyone suggest me what els i should do to get notification client to get called.

    How are you testing this ? Are you just creating posts in the Public Folder or is the folder mail enabled and your sending email to it ?
    Are you getting the heartbeat notifications ?
    Have you tested your endpoint is accessible from the Exchange Server ? are you getting any error logged see
    http://www.infinitec.de/post/2009/06/21/Troubleshooting-Push-notifications-failures.aspx
    Your only subscribing to the NewMail event on public folder I would suggest at least for testing you subscribe to the CreateItem, MoveItem, DeleteItem events as well to see if other event fires when you create and delete Items in the folder. You might also
    want to test something like

  • How to setup gmail push notification for my iphone 5?

    I'm using gmail. Prompt respond for mails is very urgent for me.
    How to setup gmail push notification for my iphone 5?

    I switched from a BB to an iPhone a few days ago and I knew I was going to miss the QWERTY keyboard but then I also discovered that my GMail doesn't 'push' to my iPhone. I was used to 'push' for all mail accounts on the BB. I also missed being able to personalize text, email, and phone tones for individuals.
    I tried the Gmail app for iOS and it does deliver Gmail to the iPhone app quickly but the text is tiny and when it is a web page it's almost impossible to read.
    So, I have worked out a kludge to get around these problems.
    I added my exisiting Gmail account to the iPhone.
    Hotmail does push to iOS 7 so I created a Outlook account (could be hotmail or Live) using the web browser.
    I added the hotmail account to the iPhone. I basically use this to give fast notification of important emails on my iPhone.
    On my macbook email client I created a rule that 'redirects' incoming mail to the hotmail account. The 'Redirect' is important since the email will show up in the hotmail account on the iPhone as coming from the original sender and you can then respond to the original sender from the iPhone, though the sender will see it as coming from the hotmail account.
    The other downside is that you will get a second copy of the email in the gmail inbox on the iPhone, probably 15 minutes later.
    If you don't want all of the mail being redirected you can create a 'redirect' group in the Address book and then adjust the rule in Apple mail to only redirect the mail to the hotmail account if the sender is in the redirect group. You can add and delete contacts from this group depending upon which ones you consider to be important. You will still get two copies of the email on the iPhone, one in the hotmail inbox and one in the gmail inbox.
    You can prevent this from happening temporarily by turning off, but not deleting, the gmail account on the iPhone. You could then edit the emails on the Apple email client before turning the gmail back on in the iPhone.
    And finally if you use the VIP feature in email on the iPhone you can create a list of VIP contacts and then assign a different notification sound for the VIP's. So in effect important contacts mail will be redirect to the iPhone for quick notification and very, very important contacts will have a different notification sound.
    I'm basically using the Hotmail account as a notification  tool and basically delete all the emails in it since the original copy will be in the gmail account.
    And best of all it's all free, except for the bandwidth.

  • Pushing notifications to android emulator behind a proxy

    Hi Guys
    I hope this is the correct place to ask this question - if not please direct me.
    I'm attempting to build an android app (in the emulator) that receives push notifications from Azure/gcm.
    I'm also using eclipse ADT in a windows 8.1 for the android dev' work.
    I have been attempting to apply the tutorial
    http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/notification-hubs-android-get-started/#connecting-app
    The registration process works correctly and I receive a registration ID from the Google CloudMessagingService which i then use to register a NotificationHub (from which I  receive a registration ID )
    Where I seem to be having problems is when i try and send an Android  (Random Broadcast) message from the Azure management Portal.
    {"data":{"message":"Notification Hub test notification"}}
    The message never arrives at my app (in the emulator) as
    @Override
    public void onReceive(Context context, Bundle bundle) {
    ctx = context;
    String nhMessage = bundle.getString("message");
    // sendNotification(nhMessage);
    mainActivity.DialogNotify("Received Notification",nhMessage);
    doesnt fire. (but does in the registration process)
    (Azure says the message was delivered)
    So I'm wondering if theres something i'm missing - perhaps surrounding the proxy server i'm behind? Or something else to do with the emulator?

  • Apple push notification not working in production(Ad Hoc Certificate)

    We are totally stucked, please help.
    I and my team made a iPhone application, and this is the first time we try on iOS.
    Everything is fine, until we submitted our app and became available on app-store -- the push notification service is not working. I searched around the web and tried double check on our app by people's advices, but I couldn't find what's wrong. so this question is posted here.
    These are what we did:
    We build the application, suppose it's named "AppMaster".
    We created AppId on iOS Provisioning Portal called: "pushtest". This ID enabled the Push Notification on both development and production.
    We created a Provisioning for development named "AppMasterPushTest" from the appId above. This provisioning is for inside test, everyone of the team installed it on their mac.
    Our server is implemented by Java and we used the java-apn package. during the test, We downloaded the certification file for development and write out the .p12 file, and pushed our message to the "sandbox" server by using the package's api -- withSandboxDestination() with that .p12 file. test goes fine, notifications are received.
    I thought we were ready, so we created another AppId called "AppMaster", and enable Push Notification only for production. This Id is written in the app's bundle identifier.
    We made another Provisioning for production named "appMaster" from AppId in step 5, with distribution method set as "App Store". downloaded it and rebuild app. This one was submitted to apple, and goes alive on app-stroe.
    Server side, We downloaded the certification for production and write out the .p12 file again. and made program to push message to production server by using the api -- withProductionDestination(), with the .p12 just been write out.
    We installed the app from App Store. sadly, the notification was never delivered.
    Is there something we missed? BTW, the id we created in step5 was looks like "XXX.com.company.appname", but in the app's bundle identifier, we just set "com.company.appname" part without prefix. is this could be the problem?
    any idea is welcomed.
    please be our saver. thanks.
