Missing step 5 in form

Hi,
I'm trying to build a form based on a table but every time i try to it doesn't give me the option to change the layout(the html area), it skips step 5 completly.
If i carry on and finish building the form and then try to edit it afterwards the tab to go to that area is missing.
Has anyone else had this problem? Or know a way around it?

You can change the html area only in case of custom forms. Have you created a custom form? The html section will appear
only in such case.

Upgrade from 8.2 to 9.0 - buttons missing to submit form

Hello everyone,
We have upgraded to LiveCycle ES2 from LiveCycle ES.
When we open the tasks via Workspace ES2, the buttons are missing to submit form. Buttons which should be there because "User must select a route to complete this task" option is selected; and it was working fine in version 8.2. There is only a submit button which appears on the form.
Could you advice about the case please?

Fields missing in Interactive forms in SFP

Hi All,
I am using interactive forms (transaction SFP) for Prsonnel change request in MSS.When i go to this form ISR_FORM_SPEG thru SFP, i realised that come standard fileds like PERNR,ENAME etc are missing ( Generic ISR Table Type) are missing from the context folder of ISR_FORM_SPEG.Any idea how i can bring them back into place??

Hi Aditi,
Go to transaction QISRSCENARIO. check if these fields are there in the characteristics of the corresponding scenario (here SPEG). If they are there, click on the change button next to the form name in the Basic data of the scenario. A pop up message asking you to change the context fields as per the characteristics fields. This gets you to the ALCDesigner. Once the proper bindings are done for the form, exit and lets you go back to the qisrscenario transaction. save the data and also activate the form. <provided you are viewing the standard scenario in the change mode>.

copy this scenario and make the adjustments you need.
if there are some fields in the form that are not part of the characteristics, click on the import form fields button next to the form name. and save it.

Installing a Jumpstart server x86 missing steps

Hello Sun experts
I am trying to setup Solaris 9 x86 Jumpstart server. My network has DHCP enabled and my Jumpstart server has a static IP address of 192.168.0.81. I am quite new to Solaris but I think I have done the basic.
1) Captain # mkdir -p /export/install/x86_9
Captain# cd /CD_mount_point/Solaris_9/Tools
Captain # ./setup_install_server /export/install/x86_9
2) ./add_to_install_server /export/install/x86_9
When I insert the Solaris Software 2 of 2 x86 (which I download from sun) in the CD-ROM drive
I get an error telling me there is not enough disk space to install image file
Captain # mkdir /jumpstartCaptain
# cp -r /export/install/sparc_9/Solaris_9/Misc/jumpstart_sample /jumpstart
I start the NFS server and run this command
share -F nfs -o ro,anon=0 /jumpstart
then I run
Captain # shareall
this is my profile for the clients_prof
install_type initial_install1
system_type standalone2
partitioning default3
cluster SUNWCuser4
package SUNWaudio5
I insterted this into my rules file
network 255.255.255.0 - clients_prof ��
Then run the check commad
Captain # cd /jumpstart
Captain # ./check
The check command tells me that the rules are ok.
On the client side I just inserted Solaris 9 disk 1 and chose the number 2 (The Jumpstart option) and it dose nothing, it just loads from the cd rom.
Can anyone please help me I am lost.
I know I am missing some steps.

No, the -d option specifies the container, not the package. For directory-style packages that are found on installation media, you should be giving the parent directory.
So if you can see SUNWwsr2 in 'ls', its parent would be the current directory.
pkgadd -d . SUNWwsr2 or
pkgadd -d . (and find the package in the list of packages)

Text missing from returned form

I created a PDF form in InDesign CS6 on a Macbook Pro. The form is quite complicated with many form fields, radio boxes, check boxes, a few required fields and an email submit button. It is used by our sales reps to fill out their customer information for each sale. They hit the email submit button and return the email to our business office, which receives the PDF form in whole (not just the data), and uses it to enter the information into a database. This has been going very smoothly for over a year.
Rather suddenly a few weeks ago, the business office noticed that form fields in returned forms were acting strangely. Text was invisible until the field containing the text was clicked on. Then the text became visible.
The business office was only aware that the text was missing because it was unusual for those particular form fields to be left empty, so they called the sales reps to question the empty fields and were told they had been filled in...once they knew the fields should have been filled, they clicked and voila!...they weren't really empty.
The method used to create the tickets has not been changed in the past few weeks and no updates have been made to the computers that have been creating the tickets, so we believe we have eliminated errors there (but we're open to suggestions there, of course!)
The PDFs are being filled out mostly on computers running Windows XP or above (none running Windows 8) and using Acrobat Reader 10 or 11. They are being opened in the business office on computers running Windows XP. The business office computers are running Acrobat Reader 11.
If you have any thoughts or suggestions on what might be causing the issue of the disappearing text, I'd love to hear them!

This is happening because your user filled the PDF form using MAC Preview. Ask them to fill and submit the form using Adobe Reader and Acrobat only then everything should work fine.

Missing information on form

We have an issue with some of our adobe forms in which data has been entered by the user but is not populating when the form is brought up or printed. Has anyone run into this before and if so how did you resolve this issue. This is affecting numerous users with different Internet Explorer ersions and operating systems so it is not isolated to a specific configuration. Thank you for your time

We have a form that users input the data. When they try to pull the form back up or print it, the data they filled out is missing. This does not happen to all people just some.
We have been following the below process in an effort to resolve the issue which sometimes works but not always. Allot of times we will get a person up and running and then all the sudden they are back to square one after they do an adobe update or a Microsoft update. We have been dealing with this issue for too long and looking for a permanent fix or something simpler.
Fully Clear Temporary Internet Files
Reset Internet Explorer
Configure Adobe settings
Reinstall Adobe Reader
Perform Registry Fix
Configure Adobe Settings
Open Adobe Reader from the Start menu.
Start > All Programs > Adobe Reader X
Click Edit and Preferences
Select Security (Enhanced)
Click “Add Host”
Insert https://XXXXXXX and select “Secure Connections.” Click OK.
Go to Trust Manager
Select “Change Settings.” Insert https://XXXXX into the box and click Allow.
Click Ok at the next menu and then OK again to close the preferences. Click Yes if prompted to confirm changes.

Some Activities are missing Resource assignments form an imported v7.0 file

What could cause missing resources from an activity after importing a v7.0 project?
I received an imported v7.0 file which is found to be missing some resources. The schedule owner provided the exported file along with a Activity Cost-Loading Report. The ACR lists each resource's activity associations. I created the same report only to find missing resources (materials, money, etc.)
Digging into the schedule do not provide any resolution.
Interestingly, 2 resources are being assigned 3 times to the same activity and only one is showing up on the imported file. Again, the schedule owner's program does include.
The file is exported from a server based and imported into a standalone. The schedule owner is not a superuser/admin unlike the standalone.

"XER with duplicate Roles/Resources on an activity is not importing all the roles/resources [ID 905700.1]
If the same resource is assigned to an activity multiple times, one of the following fields must be unique for the additional resource assignments to be
imported. The fields are:
- Activity ID
- Project ID
- Cost Account ID
- Resource ID
- Role ID
- Price / Unit
This is by design.
Workaround for importing XER:
Within the Import wizard, on the Update Project Options dialog, select the Modify button. Set the Action for Activity Resource Assignments to Insert
New as shown below.
Please Note: This will only work if you are NOT using timesheets. If using timesheets do not try this or risk losing timesheet data."
Works but be aware that actuals are not updated. Had to provide a unique identifier as stated above in order for actuals to be reported.

When i opened this VISITOR interactive form in a browser, right clicking and checked form PROPERTIES, then i saw the "PDF Version: 1.6 (Acrobat 7.x)"

POST Data is missing when submitting form to server

Hi Guys,
I have situation here as below
My web application using SSO ( using VSJ ) implement as a filter
Using weblogic 10 as app server
Scenario 1
1. user log on from trusted domain
2. user log on successfully and submit some form ( just to make illustration easier )
3. all data ( GET and POST ) parameter is submitted succcessfully
Scenario 2
1. user log on from untrusted domain
2. SSO throw 403 and my apps will redirect user to login page
3. user key in some creddentials and log on successfully
4. user trying to submit some form
5. only GET parameter is submitted
6. ALL POST parameter is never gets passed to the server.
Any idea why on scenario 3 all my POST parameter is missing/empty ?

Missing steps in Job History

Hi,
I am having this strange issue where in the job some steps are missing. There are 20 steps out of which in the job history the first 4 steps are not showing up. The packages being called in these 4 steps are running successfully.
Also, in job history, I can see only the history for current run. All the previous entries are missing.
Any information would be very helpful.

By default is set to 100, you change it by going to
Object Explorer -> SQL Server Agent –> Right click -> Properties -> History - > check Maximum

I’m facing problems while trying to perform a test including data rules and its errors management. I have designed a simple mapping with a source and a target table, and the steps I did are the following:
Create the data rule (a not_null data rule in this case).
Sett the error table name for the target table.
Set the conditional to NO CONSTRAINTS.
Set “match column when deleting row” option (inside loading properties) to YES for all columns of the table (excluding those ones inside ERR_GROUP).

Did you create the runtime access user using the runtime assistant? Did you select the correct runtime repository (if you have more) to associate your runtime access user with?
Note that there are 4 database roles being created when you create a runtime repository owner:
- OWB_A_<runtime repository owner>
- OWB_D_<runtime repository owner>
- OWB_R_<runtime repository owner>
- OWB_U_<runtime repository owner>
If you would grant those roles to a user, then that user becomes an access user for the user with username <runtime repository owner>.
Note that you can also use the runtime repository credentials to connect to the runtime repository for deployment purposes, but you may not want that because of security concerns.

Icons Missing From All Forms

Good day,
I have three environments for my forms (development (Dev), testing (Test), and production (Prod)). In my development environment, all the icons are missing. I've been working with my local admin to try and rectify the issue, but everything we have tried has failed. This isn't a problem in our other two environments. We have tried to take the image jar file from Test and override the image jar file in Dev (didn't work), and we have tried to force the dev environment to point directly at the image directory. What other areas should I be looking into, to fix this issue?

Where is the icons ? and what is it's path ?
If yes what is the configuration ?

One of my forms and it's responses are missing from "My Forms"

Two days ago I was working with the responses from one of our forms. I went to continue to work on the data last night and the form and all it's responses are missing. Is there any way to restore the form and/or it's responses from a backup?
Also, I have a pdf copy of the form, but when I go to import it I get an error basically saying I cannot import the form because it has already been distributed. Is there any kind of workaround to this so I don't have to recreate the form from scratch?

Max,
FormsCentral currently does not import the pdf copy back. Sorry for that. If you want to have a backup copy of a FormsCentral form, a better way is export the form design. You could do that in the Form Design, File – Export Design File…, to export the form design and save it locally. You could then import the form design back to your account in a later time. Note, export the form design would not include the responses data.

Two-Photo Effect...Missing Step(s)?

I am attempting to follow a "Finishing Touches" tutorial by Dave Cross (from Layers Magazine, Jan/Feb 2007, pgs. 34-38) and seem to be missing a step (or more?) to achieve the desired result. Basically it is a variation on a two-photo effect, where the smaller "focal" image has a stroke applied and then the "sprayed strokes filter" applied to that. I cannot get the filter to have ANY effect on the stroke!
Here is the variation, according to the tutorial:
VARIATION 2: Here I made a selection based on the smaller photo by Command-clicking (PC: Ctrl-clicking) on its thumbnail in the Layers palette, then added a layer on which I created a stroke (using Edit>Stroke). Then, I applied the Sprayed Strokes filter (Filter>Brush Strokes>Sprayed Strokes) to the stroke layer.
Now, I can get the sprayed strokes filter to apply to the entire image...not the desire result. OR, I click on the filter, but nothing appears in the filter preview window and nothing happens to the stroke when I apply it.
Apparently, there are a couple of "clicks" that I am missing, but I can't figure out what they are for the life of me!
I am using PS CS4 v 11.0.2 on a Wn XP sp3 OS.

miss_marple...THANKS! Adding the white fill to the layer worked. I still can't seem to get the brush stroke to extend beyond the outside edge of the stroke (which his example shows) but I'm hoping that I can achieve that with a bit more experimentation.
Noel, I had thought about the deselection idea and had tried any number of combinations of what was selected and what wasn't. That's how I came up with the multiple issues from the OP. But thanks for thinking of that. I know that many times those "little steps" get overlooked when documenting the exact process because they are either intuitive, repetitive, or simply missed in the bigger picture!

I want to open a graphic file in Illustrator, then display a Photoshop-linked version of the same graphic file side by side, so that the original is displayed on the right and the linked Photoshop version with the Live Trace already applied is displayed on the left so that when I click Live Trace, the view on the right displays the Live Trace action applied to the original (on the right). Then when I switch to the linked version (displayed on the left in Illustrator) in Photoshop and make changes, then switch back to illustrator, I will get a warning that "Some of the files are missing or modified in the Links panel. Would you like to update them now?", so when I click "Yes", the Live Trace of the Photoshop-linked version displayed on the left in Illustrator will update to reflect its results of the changes that I made in Photoshop, so that I can compare them to the Live Trace that I applied to the original, displayed on the right.
The first view, shown above, displays the original on right, Photoshop-linked, Live Traced version on the left. The following screen shot shows the linked improved version on the left after editing in Photoshop, and the original image on the right after only Live Trace was applied. I'm not trying to figure out how to edit the image in Photoshop to get the desired results (the video explains that), I'm just trying to figure out how to manage the live updating and two-up display of the different image sources in Illustrator. Suppress missing blocks on form with attributes

I built form on WS 9.3.1 which shows employee on rows.
Each employee has an attribute.
However, when I enable “suppress missing blocks” bottom. For some reason I can’t see the attribute attach to employee.
When I disable the option, it works well.
does someone encounter this issue? how can It be resolove?
