Missing V2 records using Unserialized V3 deltas in Logistics

We have been experiencing missing Deltas in our Material Movement transactions feeding BW. This always occurs between 5:30AM and 6:00AM. When we examine the intermediate queues we notice the Deltas are not present in the V2 queue. I have read several articles describing the process by which SAP moves Deltas through its arthitecture in order to get Deltas from ECC all the way to the Delta Queue in BW using the Unserialized V3 update method of extraction. All the articles state very clearly that if the V2 update fails, then the transactions are not going to make it through to the Delta queue - that makes sense.
What none of the articles explain, and what doesn't make sense, is why the V2 updates would fail in the 1st place. So...that is my question - Under what circumstances would the system not complete a V2 update? As a result of messing around with this problem for a couple of weeks and not getting anywhere, we have abandoned the Unserialized V3 Delta process in favor of using the Direct Delta technique. The up side is we will be getting all the Deltas into BW. The down side is that we have not solved our problem - we've only circumvented it, and the next time we attempt to implement the Unserialized V3 update technique, we most likely will go through a similar period of frustration.
I'm NOT looking for info on "where to look". I'm looking for "concepts" - whiy would a V2 udpate fail? If I know the answer to that question, then the answer to "where to look" should be obvious.
Thanks in advance for someone's help.

Hello,
Here are some useful tips (in my opinion) to this problem:
- Refer to transaction SM13 to view the 'V2' requests which aren't made into 'V3' Queue. Choose the status option 'V2 Executed', user as '*"  and select the appropriate time. This transaction would provide all the V2 requests which wern't updated. It's also possible to re-post the failed updates using the "Repeat update" option
- Normally there will be a dump recorded to respective failed update and this can be check using the transaction ST22. If you analyze the problem then you might be able to find the root cause of this failure.
We are using the 'Queued' delta method for application '03' and this method is working fine and never missed any documents. May be it's worth checking this update method.
Hope the above tips will help you.

  • What is a missing thread record (id = 3339624) and what can I do about it?

I was trying to updat my IMac to snow leopard and got an error during the process. I restarted my computer on the HD that I was trying to update and I get the boot screen and then it turns off. I then got it to boot on the SL disk and it got me to the repair prompt and the DU. When I verify the HD I get missing thread record (id = 3339624) and It grays out the HD. After restarting and getting back to the DU I can see it again and all my files on it. I no longer care about updating I just want to be back to normal. I don't have any time machean backups and I am very worried. It makes it even worse being able to see my files but not be able to get to them.

That error message means that Disk Utility can't reconcile the catalog entry for a file and it's location on the hard drive. That could mean a problem with the file or a problem with the catalog.
Verifying the hard drive doesn't fix anything, it just reports it's status. You need to boot to either your Leopard or Snow Leopard DVD, bring up Disk Utility, and repair the hard drive. If Disk Utility gives a failure on exit message or tells you it can't repair the hard drive, then you'll need to use a program like Disk Warrior or TechTool Pro, with Disk Warrior being the program most people use. That should be able to fix the problem. Disk Warrior is available from http://www.alsoft.com/diskwarrior/
If you started a major operating system upgrade without having a backup, you're setting yourself up for failure should a problem arise, but you probably know that by now.

  • Disk Utility and fsck report 'missing thread records' and can't repair.

    Hello,
What first made me realise there was a problem with my iMac was that when I tried to update a application it failed. I then manually download the .dmg of the update and tried replaced the app (Transmission 1.82 being that app in question). This failed, OS X claiming that it could not replace the older version (1.81). I then tried copying the file to the desktop where OS X claimed that there was already a copy of the application and so left a corrupted file on my desktop. This also happened when i attempted to move and copy a couple of pages documents and movie files around. I decided the best thing to do at this point was to reboot my computer; OS X decided it needed to install a couple of security updates at this point. This installation failed.
My iMac booted up, but only after a progress bar has appeared under the Apple logo and spinner and has done its thing (From what I've read this means that OS X is trying its best to resolve some sort of errors). This happens upon every boot.
This made me think that something must be going on with the file system of my Mac so I ran all the tests in Disk Utility. Permissions repair ran fine and fixed a few issues, but when I verified the disk this is what it reported:
    "Verifying volume “Macintosh HD”
    Performing live verification.
    Checking Journaled HFS Plus volume.
    Checking extents overflow file.
    Checking catalog file.
Missing thread record (id = 2045563)
Missing thread record (id = 2096282)
    Keys out of order
The volume Macintosh HD was found corrupt and needs to be repaired.
Error: This disk needs to be repaired. Start up your computer with another disk (such as your Mac OS X installation disc), and then use Disk Utility to repair this disk."
I booted up from the DVD and tried to repair; this failed. Next I tried using fsck in single user mode; this also failed. Upon rebooting again and waiting for the progress bar to fill I was able to move files around and update Transmission without issue. Disk Utility still reports the same error.
If I boot into Windows Vista everything works perfectly; as of yet I haven't got around to installing the new Boot Camp update for Windows 7 support incase that changes anything. When running the diagnostic tool on the Windows Vista DVD it reports that everything is fine for Windows.
I really am at a loss for what to do next. All my data is backed up by Time Machine onto a Time Capsule as well as manually onto a FW external. I also made a clone of the Windows partition using the free app Winclone. Does anyone know anything I can do to fix this problem?
    Thanks so much,
    Sam.

I have been experiencing exactly the same problem here with my MacPro. Apple replaced the hard disk because it was reporting bad sectors. However even with the replacement hard disk I'm experiencing the "missing thread" issue again. I'm guessing its either a software issue that keeps recurring or a fundamental hardware issue. Is the disk controller part of the hard disk or the motherboard? I've never had hard disk problems like this before.

  • Some fields are missing while recording through shdb

    Dear Abapers,
I am doing bdc for F-27 t.code.Some fields,cobl-gsber(business area),cobl-kostl(Cost center) are missing while recording through SHDB.But when do it manualy the fields are displaying. Also i have ddded those fields manualy in the program, stll the fields are not getting captured.May anyone pls help me,why this problem is happening? What is the solution for this.
    Thanks in Advance.

    hi
i can tell u that few transactions wont suffice us with BDC,so for such transactions we do bdc with similar kind of transactions.
ie., The transactions FB60 and f-63 both are meant for Parking.
But we cant do bdc for FB60 Parking. So we do bdc for f-63.
similarly when we do bdc for vendor few fields wont appear...in that case, we use bapi for it....
So try to find an appropriate bapi or similar tcode which will suffice ur need
    hope its clear.

  • Why we use unserialized specially for inventory

    Hi
Lo extraction mostly we use queue delta, only inventory purpose we use unserialized v3 we use , what is specific reason use this
    regards
    suneel.

    Hi ,
Unserialized V3 is used only when you dont require the document serialization, for example in inventory extraction i.e., if you are loading data into 0IC_C03, u can use unserialized V3 update.
    Pls check this blog,

  • New PC - Missing Pairing Record

I have a new PC and copied all the MY Music from the old to the new PC.  When connecting my iPhone I get a missing pairing record message.

    Hi wwolfe01,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
To resolve the error you're seeing, I'd start with reinstalling iTunes on your new PC:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923
You may also want to check for software conflicts using this article:
    iTunes: Troubleshooting security software issues
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3125
If the error persists, try step 7 in this article:
iOS: Troubleshooting backup issues in iTunes
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2529
    7. Reset the Lockdown folder
Resetting the Lockdown folder can resolve issues with starting the backup session or saving the backup. If you can back up in a new user, do not reset the Lockdown folder. Issues with the Lockdown folder occur across all users; they are not user-specific. Follow these steps to reset the Lockdown folder:
    Windows Vista or Windows 7
Disconnect all iOS devices from your computer and quit iTunes.
Open Computer from the Start menu.
Choose Organize > Folder and search options in the file browser window, then click the View tab and change the "Hidden files and folders" option to "Show hidden files and folders."
    Click OK.
Navigate to the following folder on your computer:
    C:\ProgramData\Apple
Move the Lockdown folder to the Recycle bin.
Reconnect your iOS device and open iTunes.
    Regards,
    Jeremy

  • Inserting record using form does not work. Please Help

I am trying to insert a record using INSERT INTO command in a form followed by commit.
I put the command in when-button-press trigger( I use a button to initiate insert into table command).
But it does insert the record into the table.
Then I try to ignore the INSERT INTO command and only use COMMIT, and it works.
But when I use control block, I can not use commit only to insert into table.
Is there anything that I have missed ?
PLease help. I had tried to solve this fora week.
Thank you, I really appreciate any response.

Setting your block as a datablock with source as a specified table and a number of items connected to specified columns gives you direct access to your table. Thus your commit alone will work. The second you change this to a control block, you cut your connection to the table. Thus you must use an insert into statement followed by a commit. By the way, when you use a commit statement, it processes exactly like a commit_form inbuilt function.
    Hope this helps,
    Dave

  • Error: Missing SRV record at DNS server - [Error details: 9003 (Type: Win32 - Description: DNS name does not exist.)]

in an attempt to transfer FSMO roles to the 2012r2 DC the first thing I ran was dcdiag /e /c /v and after correcting some minor errors, I came upon this one in the DNS portion where a SRV record is missing and I have no idea how to fix/remove this. there's
only two DCs, 200.5 and 200.6 where the former is a Hyper-V VM running 2012r2 and the latter is a physical 2003r2 machine. I was able to successfully raise the levels to 2003 and join the 2012r2 DC. this missing SRV record does not look fatal and only warrants
a warning from dcdiag, however I would like to fix this so there's no trouble down the road. I've tried ipconfig /registerdns, but no dice. here is the message I'm concerned about:

Hi Ace Fekay, thank you for your help. I hope you're still with me despite my lack of responding. I needed time to move the VPN server from the DC to a separate VM and then following your instructions to disable WINS Proxy and IP routing. Some of the delay
was when I had to restart the 2003r2 server after disabling those two items since that cause DNS queries to the Internet to go unresolved with only the 2012r2 server. That's been corrected, but running dcdiag /c /e /v still gives some DNS problems. Here's

  • Missing leading zeros using debug

How we will find the particular record containing the missing leading zero and how we will add the missing leading zeroes using debug

    Hi,
I would suggest to check out the psa. By sorting the data by different criteria you will see duplicates. Additionally you can filter the records based on different restrictions on each field and might be able to find the records containing or not containing fields with leading zeroes.....
But anyway, some manual work has to be done.
    regards

I was trying to make a new screen recording using quicktimeplay, but when I watched the video after recording it all I could hear was me talking while the video was showing on the screen. How do I turn off that recording and turn the right one on? thanks

    Hi j2399123,
It sounds like your screen recording is doing what it was designed to do, capture what is happening on your screen, with optional voice over with the microphone.
Screen recording is for recording what you see on the screen, it is not a "video capture" option, like for capturing a movie with sound that is playing on your screen.
For the QuickTime recording options, check out "Recording with QuickTime Player" in
Mac Basics: QuickTime Player creates, plays, edits, and shares video and audio files

And for screen recording specifically, there's

    Edited by: user10373980 on Sep 29, 2008 6:11 AM

    Hi,
Am facing the same issue stated above that I couldnt get all the records in the table that am querying in the Proxyservice.
    For example:
fn-bea:execute-sql('EsbDataSource', 'student', 'select Name from StudentList' ) is the query that am using to fetch the records from the table called StudentList which contains more than one records like
    Id Name
    01 XXX
    02 YYY
    03 ZZZ
I tried to assign the result of the above query in a variable and while trying to log the variable, I can see the below
    <student>
    <Name>XXX</Name>
    </student>
I want to have all the records from my table in xml format but it's not coming up. I get the value only from the first row of my table.
    Please suggest.
    regards,
    Venkat
