Mix digital out and out in one task
Hello,
is it possible to create a task that can be used for PWM output and setting of digitals outputs at the same time?
I have a NI-USB 6210 that provides two counters and additional digital outputs.
I have already implemented some code that generates PWM signals on both counters.
At all, I have created one task, containing both counters and I am able to set the duty cycle by using DAQmxWriteCtrFreq.
Now, I also want to write the digital outputs.
I first tried to create a second task that handles the outputs, but I got an error (sorry, forgot the error number) that says that the task can not be created because the digital output resource is already in use (by the PWM task).
Therefore, I think that I have to add the digital output channels to my PWM task, so that there is only one task that handles all my digital signals (counter and bits).
Am I right here or not?
Furthermore, if I am right, how can I set the digital outputs?
Maybe DAQmxWriteDigitalLines is the correct line but how can I tell this function, which channels should be set?

i think the error number was -200022, because the PFI lines for the two PWM counter look all your digital ports.
You can see this if you look on into the pinout for your device. You need an device with some additional digital ports.

Here is a recent post I assembled for a similar question:
Unfortunately you got caught up in the minor miracle of Rosetta. Originally licensed by Apple when it migrated from the PowerPC CPU platform that it had used from the mid-1990's until the Intel CPU platform in 2006, Rosetta allowed Mac users to continue to use their library of PPC software transparently in emulation.
However, Apple's license to continue to use this technology expired with new releases of OS X commencing with Lion (and now Mountain Lion). While educational efforts have been made over the last 6 years, the fact is that Rosetta was SO successful that many users were caught unaware UNTIL they upgraded to Lion or Mountain Lion.
Workarounds:
1. If your Mac will support it, restore OS X Snow Leopard;
2. If your Mac will support it, partition your hard drive or add an external hard drive and install Snow Leopard into it and use the "dual-boot" method to choose between your PowerPC software or Lion/Mt. Lion;
3. Upgrade your software to Intel compatible versions if they are available, or find alternative software that will open, modify and save your data files;
3. Install Snow Leopard (with Rosetta) into Parallels:

So I've been having an apple account before I got my first and only iphone. But I plugged in my friend's device first into my account and the account read it as the owner device of the ID. Two days later, I plugged in my device and read it as a second device in the accound and therefore, my device is just "borrowing" the ID and it set a time limit to use it. But it needs to be the other way around. The first device is not mine and I want it out, and I want the second device in as the owner of the apple account.
What do I do?

There is no such thing as "borrowing" the account. You can use your account from ANY device/computer that has itunes.
You seem to completely misunderstand the way it works.
There is no time limit. You are confucing your account with associated devices:
iTunes Store: Associating a device or computer to your Apple ID
If you want to buy music from your iphone, simply go to Settings and sign into your account.
The musci your friend bought using your account belongs to you and it is not legal from your friend to use.

Playstation 3 Digital out to Mac Pro 3,1 Digital in and out again through Konnekt 6
So I got a used Mac Pro 3,1 on craigslist and it's a beast. Only problem is that the superdrive was broken. No big deal really, but I've been thinking about how it'd be cool to be able to watch blu-ray movies on it. I Could just buy an 80 dollar drive, or I could use my Playstation. I've got optical outputs on the PS3 and inputs on the Mac, so my question is what the easiest way to route the sound would be. Just using audio/midi setup? Usually inputs need to be "armed" so that there isn't that constant stream of info and I imagine with digital it's the same? Would I have to open up Logic and do some kind of soundflower bed magic?

Is it possible to set 2 lines of the digital port on write (Output) and the other 6 on read (Input)? if yes, how do I have to config the DIO and which vi's do I have to use.

YvesLine direction is set by DIO Port Config.vi. It can be found at the Data Acquisition>Digital I/O>Advanced Digital I/O palette. There's an input called line direction map. A line is an output if it's bit is 1 and an input if it's bit is 0.

Import and Copy Opening – One Task & One Prompt Set
Hi Experts,
We want to create one data manager package that contains both import from BW with UI and copy opening. We ran into some issues. Maybe you can help:
We created a new process chain that contains both tasks, and created a new DM package that has both scripts. Users only want to enter parameters such as entity and time one time for both tasks...
When I commented out the Copy opening prompts, relying on the prompts from the Import from BW, I receive an error. The message:

Thanks, isn't %SELECTION% passed to the process chain? I see that the process chain RUN LOGIC contains a field SELECTION. If the value is passed, then I have to change that too?
2) If we change the value to SELECTION2, then how does this variable capture the parameters for the dimensions? I am commenting out the prompt of the copy opening script keeping the first prompt below from the import from BW in order to capture the parameters for both scripts.

Anyone know how to reach someone in customer service who will not out and out LIE to us?
Just so frustrated right now... in the near week since my husband's iPhone was stolen, we have spoken to four different reps and three so-called supervisors. Each one has either made the problem worse or actually lied to us. Does anyone know how to reach someone at Verizon who will help us? We have three iPhones with Verizon and are ready to leave for AT&T.
So far, this is what we've had:
1. As we were tracking the phone with the police to get it back, Verizon tech support advised us to wipe the phone because we'd still be able to track it. WRONG. Phone lost forever. Verizon clearly does not understand what "wipe" means on MobileMe. What they should have said is, "We don't know for sure, so don't wipe it."
2. Rep transferring my husband's phone number to a backup handset transferred MY number to that phone, deactivated MY iPhone and reported it as stolen. When they were trying to fix it, we were assured that our unlimited data plan would not be affected. WRONG. Reps are now refusing to give it back.
3. Next rep advised us to get insurance on the phones because if anything happens, they are replaced for free. WRONG. $199 deductible, which we found out from the next rep.
4. The supervisor we spoke to yesterday said she would pull the tapes from the call center, review them to make sure that IT gave us the wrong information, and then call us back the next day with a discounted rate on a new iPhone. She gave us her name and direct number... both of which were bogus. The number goes to a media specialist at some public school. Subsequent reps have told us that there is no way anyone at Verizon would say that.
5. We have been promised three times that a supervisor would call us within 24 hours... almost a week later, no calls from anyone.
So if anyone has any leads on how to speak to someone who will make this nightmare go away, please, please, let me know. Thank you.feochadan wrote:

Mixing DVCPRO HD and Animation in one Sequence...Thoughts?
I'm working on a project that was shot in DVCPRO HD 720p,
and I need to include a lot of clips that have been processed
to create alpha channels, so I'm using the Animation codec
(square pixels) to bring them in from Shake.
With all the layering I'm doing, now the only clip using DVCPRO HD
is the background. Playback is quite choppy, but it's all working
when it's rendered.
Just wondering, would it make sense to set the sequence to
Animation codec, with square pixels, and if so, should
I set Render preferences to RGB instead of YUV?
Or maybe I should convert the sequence to ProRes 422?
Or should I just keep it set to DVCPRO HD?
My final output could be either codec. I'll probably make
some DVDs, HD H.264s, and a Flash movie by the time I'm done.
If you can offer any advice or point me to a workflow
description that addresses extensive layering in FCP,
I've got some chocolate covered stars to give away.

I used my iphone through out summer, i connected it to my itune software and when i re inserted my sim it stooped workin and keeping sayn no sim or no service, what shall i do? x
I would call Apple tech support, which is excellent. Or take the phone to your local Apple store - not AT&T or Verizon, as the Apple techs specialize in Apple products and are somewhat fanatical about them.
Regarding the photos, they are probably still on the simm card in the phone and recoverable. Check with the Apple folks to get them back... sorry about your pet! -
Out and Out Sub Contracting scenario
the process is :
1) Create Standard PO for component material on Vendor A (in delivery address tab, entering Sub con vendor with tick)
2) Now doing GRN for the above PO, the material is received directly at vendor location.
3) Sub Con PO is created on the subcon vendor.
4) As the component material is already with sub contractor no transfer posting (541) is done .
5) Now we have to create sub contracting challan (J1IF01) which will go to subcontractor from the plant.
6) Now the issue is with what reference shall i create subcon challan in J1IF01.
System allows J1IF01 with ref to transfer posting doc only.
Please suggest.As material is directly going to subcontractor from vendor, you don't need to create 57F4 challan for the same.
Challan needs to be generated if material is going from your premises.
If you want to provide the challan to your subcontractor, then you have to take the raw material into your premises first(MIGO), then MB1b-541 & then J1IF01.

Combining Digital OUT and Digital IN with DAQmx on E-Series

I'm trying to combine Digital IN and OUT-function with the DAQmx-driver. I have set the first four channels of my E-Series to IN and the other four to OUT. How can I programm this? I encounter problems when changing an OUT-channel.
Earlier I did that with the traditional DAQ driver by setting the port to 240 (first four In, second four OUT)

The easy way i know, is by configure Global Channels at the NI-Max and then use the Linked VI i send.I know it's a elementary VI, but u can continue from this point.

How to use the Digital Audio in & out RCA jacks a6010n
On the lower right of the back of my Pavillion a6010n desktop, above the mouse and keboard connections and below the monitor connection are two RCA jacks labeled Digital Audio in and out. The top one has an orange insulator and is labeled "out", and the lower one has a black insulator and is labeled "in". I have been unable to find any information about these or how to use them. Can anyone please tell me or direct me to information about this? I have Vista Home Premium 32 bit and have added a Sound Blaster Audigy sound card which is cheap but has a better S/N ratio. In Control Panel --> Sound the digital output for the sound card is listed but there is nothing about the Digital Audio jacks I would like to be able to use. Thank you all.
Yes there is. I suggest trolling these boards for the 3rd party remote solutions that will free you to use the remote in ANY application like Winamp, Notepad, Windows Media Player, etc.

Could ONE task include channels of MULTIPLE sorts?
There are two sorts of singnels: current and temperature. I want to know that if I can collect them in a task. I am using CVI to programme. Can I use DAQmxCreateAICurrentChan() and DAQmxCreateAIThrmcplChan() in one task?
