since MM is in saturation stage. please provide me some important new technologies in SAP MM that we need to concenterate.

Since you mentioned as SAP Support Consultant, this usually refer to Level 2 support activities in organizations.
Usually in general, all Corporate level organizations used to have at least one support consultant. This may be a single person who can have a brief knowledge of areas, or many for each FI, MM etc.
The main aim of client to keep a support consultant is to minimize the dependancy on main consultancy service provider often. In the end, on typical upgradations and maintenance the client has to call help of these people to perfom activities to solve their problems.
The requirements are:
Provide 2nd level support and resolved all assigned issues and communicate resolution to businessu2019 1st Line Support.
Responsible to manage and track problem calls in Service Center and track resolution.
Work with the development team to test change requests and provide knowledge transfer of changes to team members;
Ensure all upgrade related issues are solved within the specified time.
As per my opinion the knowledge of MDM is must since you are covering MM. Regarding ALE, ABAP its not required 100% knowledge, but clients prefer candidates who can have basic knowledge in these.

  • Unable to create new topics in RH 9 Word

    Since the switch from RH 5X to RH 9, new topics are not publishing.  Typically the title would always be preceded by charachters, ex. "* # $ K > @ Pacer Contacts," however, now when new topics are created the title formats differently, ex. "*loc_cnt #Test $Test +CONTACTS:0 KTest @Status|0|||0||Testing 123|||| Test."  Also, when I look at the properties of the new page, the Topic Title & the Topic ID are blank.

    No, unfortunately not.  I’m in the process of converting the projects to html and I can create new topics there.  I never really figured out why it suddenly stopped.  I hope you have better luck that I had.

    I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
    When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
    At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
    I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.

  • How do I make a new topic have the same formatting as other topics in a project?

    Hi,
    I am using RH 8 for HTML.  I am updating a preexisting project and am new to RH.  When I create a new topic, how do I get the formatting (fonts, shading, etc.) from another topic?  The old topics are formatted in a certain way.  When I create a new topic, or even paste existing content from an old topic into it, it has different fonts and shading.  Is this something I must do manually, or is there an automatic way?  Either way, I could use some pointers.
    I would past a screen capture here, but when I tried to do that, the formatting went away.

    Probably it's just a matter of associating the correct CSS file.
    Open both topics in RoboHelp.
    Edit a topic where things look correct.
    Click the CSS icon as shown below:
    Click the image below for larger view
    Now edit the errant topic.
    Click the same icon and choose the CSS file you saw earlier.

  • How can I see only new topics from selected spaces on one page?

    Just wondering how can I do the subj.
    For instance, Im interested only in Database space, and only in several sub-spaces like high availability, upgrade, general.
    So, I would like to see new topics only from these areas on single page. how can I do this?
    Currently, in order to check for new questions, I need every time to go to every space, then select sub-space, go back,  select another subspace. This is very inconvenient, slow and takes server resources as well.

    You have to select Track in Communications under Actions in the Overview view of the appropriate forum space you are interested in. You should then receive notifications under Communications and can filter by "unread". If you don't want email notifications, you need to set it OFF in your user preferences.   • Need help with New Topic in RoboHelp 7

    I'm trying to pick up where someone else left off and am a little lost.  I have a WebHelp project on a Sharepoint site.  I have added a new topic which I can see in my file structure, but when I generate the project the new topic file does not show up.  It must be something small I'm missing.  Help!!

  • Errors on creating new Topic in RH9 (9.02 Patch)

    Have found that when creating a new topic in RH9 project that on building the project errors 3018 and 3111 are being presented.
    Appears that the error is being caused by the placement of the Page Break in the word document at the commencement of the topic.  Prior versions of RH would insert a new topic as such :-  (Note correct placement of Page Break and 'Keep with next' paragraph mark).
    When adding a new topic now it appears as such :-
    Note the placement of the 'Keep with next' paragrah mark is now at the start of the topic line rather than at the start of the page break.
    On building then project with a topic in this format causes 2 additional error messages to be presented in error wizard :-
    1.  HC3018: Warning: In the project file, an #include statement is specified without a filename,  and
    2.  HC3111: Warning: This topic contains keywords but no title
    The second warning (HC3111) is returned despite the topic properties containing a title, and keyword sections correctly filled out.
    I have found that the work around to fix this is to correct error HC3018 first by :-
    Place Cursor at start of the topic line immediately prior to the # symbol.
    Back space to remove the 'Keep with next' paragra[ph mark to a point where the mark is removed, the heading properties are removed from the topic title and the Page break indication now extends across the entire page.
    With Cursor placed at the commencement of the topic line again immediately prior to the # symbol, re-apply the 'Keep with next' paragrah command.  This applies the command on the 'Page break' line.
    Re-apply Heading style to the topic line.  It now looks line this :-
    Re-build project. Error messages 3018 and 3111 now both gone.
    Yet another bug in this version now doubt.

    Thanks.  Tried that and no the problem does not present in a new project.  Oddly enough this started occurring in a new project that had these documents imported from  a previous project (word 2003 format into Word 2010 format).
    So it doesn't occur by default in a new project, but does in an older project migrated from 2003 word format into 2010 format.  Go figure.

    Thanks to you for your suggestion.  Worked fine.  Not sure why all of a sudden I have to do this and why the same issue does not occur in new project by default,  Maybe a word 2003 to word 2010 save / convert issue ?
    Nonetheless your suggestion and fix works well and far less painful than my clumsy solution.

    Well If what you did is you transfered the Pictures from one folder to another using your phone, the Root folder is the main folder so lets say you transfered it to the memory card the root folder is the memory card.

  • New topic not appearing in merged index

    I have used @Peter Grainge’s “Merging Help” document for a few years now (at least since RoboHelp 8)
    Now using RoboHelp 10. Internet Explorer 9.
    I created the topic. Created a Map ID for the topic
    Added to the index.
    Saved the project.
    Generated the parent (parent already had the child project in its TOC from years back). Content setting for Index is: “Default Index”. Navigation setting for Preferred Format is: “DHTML”.
    Generated the child. Content setting for Index is: “Default Index”. Navigation setting for Preferred Format is: “DHTML”.
    Copied the parent and child  whdata, whgdata, whxdata folders to folders outside the project along with the generated results for the parent and child.
    TOC is synchronized, Index appears, but the new topic does not.
    Did I miss a step?
    I did not add the topic to the browse sequence.

    That narrows things down a lot. Close the project and save a copy of the index file somewhere. Open the project index file in a text editor. Can you see the index keyword in there? Does the entry look correct compared with other entries? If not correct it.
    If still no result, try adding another keyword.

  • Why can't I post a new topic in the Leopard discussions.

    The option is available in other Apple discussions, but for some reason it's not an option for me in the Leopard area.
    I just want to ask a simple question about why Firefox is now launching every time I restart my computer, but don't want to do so in a discussion about Final Cut or iLife or any of the other forums where posting a new topic is an option because that would be bad etiquette. At the same time, I'm not given much of an option.

    If you have a Technical question about Apple Hardware, Programs, Services, Technology, Software, Applications, Products, etc, from this page Discussions - Forum Home, select an appropriate Category from one of the sixteen divisions.
    For example, under Mac OS X Related Software, choose the Category Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard.
    On the page that opens, select a Forum, such as Installation & Setup, or Using Mac OS X Leopard.
    Most Category pages, have numerous Forums within them.
    But some may have only one, two, or three.
    For example, the Safari Category page, has three choices listed under Forum / Category:
    Safari For Windows
    Safari for Mac Support forum
    Safari 4 (Beta).
    And the Apple Remote Desktop Category, has only one Apple Remote Desktop Forum.
    From a Category page, select an appropriate Forum to post in.

  • New topics are compiled in but don't display when help button is pressed

    Folks,
    I'm using RoboHelp HTML Build 6. I am the only writer who uses RH and have been using this build for 2 years or so.
    I recently got a new map file from the developer containing 2 new map IDs. I used the same steps to import the map file, create the new topics, and map them to the new map IDs that I have been using for years. But when I compiled RH and pasted the chm into the application folder, those 2 new topics don't display when the help button is clicked on the dialog box to which they are mapped.
    When I generate the chm I can look at the output at the bottom of RH project view and see that that the 2 new htm files are being compiled into the RH project. I can also see them if I open the generated chm and go into the TOC and click on a link to them.
    Does anyone have any ideas? I have tried redoing the usual procedure (see below) for the importing and mapping from scratch several times. I have also tried BugHunter (see below).
    Procedure for Importing and Mapping (this time the help for all the older dialog boxes works but not for the 2 new ones)
    1. Open the new map (.hm) file from the developer and add #define followed by a space to each entry beginnng with the string HID in the new map file (I don't know why but nothing works unless I do this.)
    2. Delete the old map file from the RH project.
    3. In Windows Explorer, copy the new .hm file into the RH project folder.
    4.In Project Manager view, open Context-Sensitive Help. Right-click on Map Files. Select Import. Browse and select the new map file.
    6. Map the new topics using File, Edit Map IDs.
    7. Generate the .chm and pasted it into the application where it always goes.
    BugHunter Procedures and Results
    I first tried the Test HTML Help API dialog.
    I specified the .CHM file I compiled and tested both options:
    --HH_DISPLAY_TOPIC: I put in the name of the new help (htm) file and its relative path and clicked Help. Nothing happened.
    --HH_HELP_CONTEXT: I put in the Map Number for the new dialog box and clicked Help. The new help topic I had created displayed.
    I also used the Tools tab in BugHunter to do a CSH (context sensitive help) Test. I identified the chm file and opened it and put in a new map number, then clicked Show Help. Nothing happened.

    On the surface it sounds like you have done everything correctly so it should just be a case of going back and double checking that you have the correct CHM, that the mapid is exactly the same as in the app and that the app has been updated.

  • Can you set live bookmarks to show topic replies rather than new topics (or is that a setting of the site/forum)?

    I have live bookmarks for some forums, blogs, and news pages on my bookmarks toolbar and only one site shows topic replies rather than new topics in the dropdown bar. Can I configure the forum ones to show topic replies or is that a setting configured by the website itself?

    Nope. This is a common request, for some form of preview, typically as Outlook does it. Almost equally common are requests to have absolutely no preview whatsoever in case something nasty happens.
    Many of us think the Message Pane below the thread list is perfectly adequate for a quick scan of message content.

    Feedback about issues is rare. Usually this means that no major issues occured and that the information given (e.g. in the documentation of DB and UI changes + potential compatibility issues) is OK as well.

    Well it doesn't work! Note that I'm able to add manually an invoice with expenses, and if I create a quotation (type 24), an order (type 17) or a delivery (type 15) everything works fine.
    I'm using the SBODemo_IT database
    The error message (-10) claims something like 'Tax code is required for freight costs'

  • Can't add Window setting to new topic

    I am working on a WinHelp project created long ago (in version 6 or earlier--the first time through the numbers), and I'm now using version 8 (in the newer numbers) on Windows 7.
    I created a new topic and on the Advanced tab, I selected a Window (the project has different windows for procedures, field descriptions, etc.). When I generated the help file, the topic does not have the window colors, but the content is there.
    I also tried manually creating the > footnote by copying and pasting from another topic (the old topics display the colors, even those without a Window selected on the tab).
    I will greatly appreciate any help with this.

    Hi Gregory,
    Looks like the site is still in trial (e-mail accounts/domains are not available in trial mode). You need to take 2 steps:
    - Upgrade the site (from admin, top left corner, go to your partner portal, access the clients section, select your site, then access "Upgrade site" from the details panel on the right side of the page) by  choosing a plan and entering your billing information
    - Purchase a domain (be sure to link it to our own DNS: ns1.worldsecuresystems.com (192.150.2.143) - primary DNS server & ns2.worldsecuresystems.com (192.150.8.143) - secondary DNS server) then go to Admin > Site Settings > Site Domains > and add that domain.
    You'll now be able to go to Site Settings > E-mail Accounts and set them up
