MM Rules options

Hi there,
A question on Rules Options apply on MM operations:
- Which options should we select to get rid of some char. (nameS.A or nameLtd or nameGmbh)
Case: Dedupe companies' list
Match-Merge1
Input attributs : org_id,org_name,country
Match bin : country
Match Rule
Type: Firm
Options: Strip noise words,Match on partial firm name
The new merged table has all non-duplicate records. The problem raised with the Partial Name option.
e.g: these 3 companies are considered a match:ITENET, ITE S.A , ITE
It's only true for ITE S.A and ITE.
Match-Merge2
Same as Match-Merge1 without Partial Name options.
The merged results has all 3 companies (ITE,ITE S.A,ITENET)
Question:
Which Rule option can help match ITE S.A to ITE ?
Thks

You should use the Match-Merge 2 criteria, but you will have to change the noise words definitions which, by default do not include the words S.A. and Gmbh. These words are hard-coded in a target schema the PL/SQL package OWB_MATCH_MERGE, so to do this, you will have to go to your target schema and modify this package. You will ahve to edit the package definition for this package (not the package body which is not visible to the user). What you have to change in the type firm_opt (a record type) and within this record, you will have to change the noise_words field definition by adding Gmbh and S.A. to the already existing words (such as The, And, Corp etc.).
If you don't have a PL/SQL editor such as TOAD or similar, you can do this as follows from SQL Plus:
set long 10000
spool c:\pkg_file
set pagesize 1000
set headings off
select text from user_source where name='OWB_MATCH_MERGE' and type='PACKAGE' order by line;
spool offThis should download the package body to the file pkg_file.lst . Modify the firm_opt type as mentioned - it's fearly obvious, when you see al the noise words in the same string, you will know. Add at the beginning of the package the words 'CREATE or REPLACE ' and add a semicolon at the end of the last word of this file. Add a new line with /. Then from SQLPlus execute this modified package body against the target schema:
@c:\pkg_file.lstRegards:

  • Mail rule options ...

    Hi,
In Mail, I have a rule for an intelligent mailbox that selects all email that are older than 365 days and that are in the Trash.
For this rule to work, why do I have to also check the option below the rule definition that ask to include messages that are in the Trash (see picture below) ? Since the rule specifies that the message have to be in the Trash, why do I have to also check that option ?
Can comeone help me with this one ?

    Yeah, that's what I figured.
Another option is writing an AppleScript and selecting the "Run AppleScript" rule option, but I'm a) not 100% it's even possible, and b) rusty on AppleScript.

  • OS X 10.3 Mail Rules option in preferences has disappeared

Apply Rules option does nothing. Rules option missing in preferences window. Where did they go? I have many rules that are still functioning properly, but I can make no more nu rules because I cannot access the option.

Sounds like you have the complete Preferences toolbar closed on another selection.
Go to Mail > Preferences and at the top right corner of the Preferences window is a clear pill shaped button.
Selecting this button opens/closes the complete Preferences toolbar and the same applies to any window that includes a toolbar that has this clear pill shaped button.

  • User mailboxes have more server-side rule options then shared mailboxes?

I was hoping to set up some server-side rules to keep a shared mailbox clean.  The goal was to have some rules to move incoming messages to specific folders based off words in the subject.  I opened the shared mailbox in OWA and found the action
of moving the message to a folder was not available.  At first I figured that's an action that's only available in a client-side rule.  However, I then found that in my user mailbox that action is available server-side.  It would appear there
are a number of other action that are available server side to user but not shared mailboxes.
Anybody else notice this?  Is this a bug?
Single Exchange 2013 SP1 server - nothing fancy.

    Hi,
I have a test in my environment using Exchange 2013. We can use two methods to create rules in OWA. When I open shared mailbox via OWA to create rules, only one way is possible. I recommend you use this way to create rules in OWA and check the result. Here
is the detailed steps for your reference.
Click Setting icon (on the right corner) -> Options -> organize email -> New
    Hope it helps.

  • SCCM 2012 RS QUERY RULE OPTIONS

How do i create a device collection query in SCCM2012 R2 wizard rule to find properties information for server object in Active Directory, such as query for description field?
    Example:

You must first enable the discovery of this field in "Active Directory System Discovery". See the "Active Directory Attributes" tab.
(Administration / Hierarchy Configuration / Discovery Methods)
Once enable, run a synchronization on this component by right clicking on it.
After the discovery you'll be able to query the "Description" field under "System Resources".
    Or use this WQL query
"select * from SMS_R_System where SMS_R_System.description = "Your Description Goes Here"

  • Does Keynote 6.5 have a ruler option for Pixels?

I started using Keynote for wireframes last year. Liked it way better than Ormigraffle  I upgraded a few weeks ago and there doesn't seem to be a way to change the rulers and measurements to pixels anymore. Am I missing something? I can't make wireframes without pixels.

I use Keynote to create wallpapers that align to the onscreen iOS elements and using points will get you what you want. However, unless you are at actual size (zoom = 100%) you can't click and drag and move items so that the end up aligned to pixels. And, unfortunately, the UI won't show you that for the two objects that state their x coordinate as 100 in the inspector, one is 100.023 and the other is 100.498. They will visually be in different locations on the screen, but both will show 100 in the UI.
That's one way that it doesn't work like the old Keynote, but once you're aware of that, just take it into account and you should be able to work around it.

  • Where is the option "create update rule" in BW 7.3?

    Hi, all.
We have updated our BI sandbox to BW 7.3. After installing cube 0PT_C01 from the BCT, I realized that infosource 0HR_PT_3 is not linked to the cube. So I was trying to manually create the update rule. But that "create update rule" option is nowhere to be found. Can you please advise?
    Thanks,
    Jonathan.

    Hi jonathan,
you are implementing time and labour 0PT_C01.
for that we have only 2 standard data sources
    1 is 0HR_PT_1
    2 is 0HR_PT_2
in addition to the above data sources we can also use 0HR_PT_3 data source for the info provider 0PT_C01.

  • How do you apply rules based on read status?

I migrated to Mail.app from PowerMail, and one of the powerful options available when creating a filter/rule in PowerMail was the ability to check the status of the message (message is/is not read) before applying the rest of the rule.
Is there a way to apply this same check within a rule in Mail.app?
This option is used to create rules that file mail ONLY AFTER it has been read.
Obviously, the user must apply the rule manually since rules are only fired off when mail comes in, or when one highlights one or more message(s) and then selects the "Apply Rules" option from the contextual menu or from the Message menu.
What makes this so powerful is that rather than having to manually file every message after you read it you can create rules that check status for read, if it is check to see if it matches other criteria, and if it does, put it in a folder with other like messages.
Like many people, I have a large number of folders and subfolders into which I file my messages. By creating such a rule, I only have to file a message that matches other criteria once, use that to set up the criteria for the rule, and on subsequent messages that match that criteria, I only have to apply the rule after I have read it.
I could just file all the messages directly into their appropriate folders, but then I have to keep watch on the subfolders for new mail, rather than just watching the inbox, reading the new mail, then using the Apply Rules item to have the read message checked and then filed based on the criteria that it matches.
The logic might look like this.
    Is Read status true
    AND
    The subject contains "Intranet"
    THEN
    Move message to /On My Mac/Work Mail/Current Projects/Intranet Project/ mail folder
    THEN
    Stop processing rules.
Without the ability to test the message's "read status" I have to select the message, right click to select "Move To>" from the contextual menu, then mouse through four sub panes to put the read message in the folder where I want to store it.
I also cannot select a number of read messages and use the Apply Rules option to allow my filing rules to move any number of read messages to their proper storage folders.
If anyone has a method for doing this, please let me know. It is the one thing I miss most about PowerMail.

I have been doing some of this, and while it does provide some of the functionality that is lost without the ability to apply rules only to read messages, it is not a complete solution. One of the biggest drawbacks is that it is not easy to selectively limit what new mail shows up the smart mailbox. One approach that works, sort of, is to limit the smart mailbox to only messages from people in my address book. However, not all relevant messages are from people already in my mailbox, so it requires constantly double checking to make sure that things are slipping through the cracks.
The best thing about being able to apply rules, after receiving them, based on the status of a message is that it puts the control in the users hands. It allows you to selectively apply rules, only when you want to apply them. Rather than always/never, you have the ability to apply rules "sometimes/as needed." It allows for fuzzy logic, rather than hard conditions.

  • Applying rules manually doesn't work for multiple messages

I've been using Mail for some time now and love rules. Love 'em. A few months ago I started having touble and have not been able to figure it out.
The rules get applied to new incoming messages properly, as they should. However, I used to be able to select all the messages in my inbox (Command + A) and then 'Apply Rules' (Option + Command + L). That command no longer works. It still works if I go and select a bunch of eBay-related e-mails, for example, and then Apply Rules. Those message are moved accordingly. But if I select all message and Apply Rules, those same 4 or 5 messages remain put in the inbox even though there's a perfectly functioning rule for them that should be applied.
NOTE: NONE of my rules work when I select all and Apply Rules.
    Any suggestions?

The reason there are messages in my inbox to which rules haven't been applied is because when I'm at work I check my mail via the web (I use FastMail.fm). At home, using Mail, I access my mail via IMAP. When I receive and read new messages via the web and then go home and open Mail, all the messages in my inbox are no longer new, incoming messages so Mail doesn't process them as such. But just because they're not new incoming messages doesn't mean they belong in my inbox.
    Does that make sense?
Most of the rules are to Move messages to folders based on categories (Shopping, Forums, Hosting, etc.).

  • How to diable the default option of report-based total (when applicable)

    Hi,
Anybody know how to diable the default option of report-based total (when applicable)?
By default this aggregation rule option is checked.
There should be some configuration tag in instanceconfig.xml or somewhere else, such as <ReportAggregateEnabled>true</ReportAggregateEnabled>?
    Regards,
    Tina

you can change this from admin tool,
    open admin tool,
    business model and mapping
find your column in the model
double click your column, click on aggregation, >> default rule >> none.
but if you do this, you cant make any sum operation.

  • 'register with shared services' option missing while configuring eas

I am facing some issues while configuring a new epm system:
While configuring eas 11.1.2.0, I am not getting the option' Register with Shared Services'. but otherwise, the configuration is successful. As a result, I don't see the Business Rules option in Shared Services/Application Groups. But we are able to use eas console and do see business rules node in eas console.
How do I get configurator to show this option?
I was able to configure and register all other Hyperion applications.

One way is to use the registry tool though make sure you backup the shared services database before running the utility.
    It is located in <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/user_projects/<instancename>/bin
to change the status for EAS for HSS then run the following
    epmsys_registry updateproperty BUSINESS_RULES_PRODUCT/system_tasks_configuration/@hubRegistration Pending
Now if you run the configurator again it should let you select just Essbase Administration Services, you dont need to select the child components.
It should then registry with Shared Services.

  • Rich Text Editor Option for Custom Metadata

    Hi,
We have created custom profiles for our clients. In one such profile which was created for news updates, client wants to have rich text editor in case of certain custom metadata fields such as description similar to comments.
As far i as i understand this can be achieved by creating region defintion which gives the option to create a web asset which can edited using site studio api. But is it possible to bring in rich text editor features for custom metadata fields in profiles ?
    Regards,
    Boopathy P

I'd suggest looking into the profile rule's "Use custom include" option.
You need to build the new control on your own, but you'll be able to plug it in via the "Use custom include" profile rule option. It's on the "Edit Rule Field" page.
You can also override the template, but I believe that's a lil' too hardcoded for best practices. This way, you can create a ckeditor textarea and apply it to any metadata you wish (of course, it's up to you to make sure the datatypes match).
Let us know if this helps!

  • Mail Rules Question

I have a lot of email on my Gmail account. A semi significant portion of them are status updates, such as Facebook, Pownce, Netflix, and other site updates. In the past when I used POP, it wasn't such a big deal to keep these emails because Gmail offers something like 4GB of space. However, now that I am switching to IMAP, it's taken me forever sync with all 14,000 emails on the Gmail server.
I don't want to have to do that again, especially not on my iPhone.
My question is this: Is it theoretically possible to setup a mail rule to have a specific folder delete all its contents after a specified amount of time? Looking in the default mail rule options, there is the ability to delete email as it comes in, but not necessarily after, say, 30 days. I'm looking for something along the lines of, "every 30 days, delete everything in this mail folder."
    Any ideas?

  • SAP GRC - Exporting rules from GRC - how to read the .txt file generated ?

    Hi there,
I am using GRC Compliance Calibrator and have downloaded the default Global rules defined in Compliance Calibrator using the Rule Architect -> Utilities->Export rules.
This gave me a massive txt file with a lot of tables and data. Reading through this forum, I did figure out that lines starting with M are the header rows for the tables and D rows are the data rows.
My question is, how do i figure out what each of the Virsa tables stand for (e.g. VIRSA_CC_FUNCACT, VIRSA_CC_FUNCPRM) ?
I tried SE11 and looking up these tables in the SAP environment associated with this CC install, however it says that the table was not found.
Could someone please point me to :
    A) A list of the common Virsa CC tables and their descriptions ?
    OR
    B) How can i find what these tables stand for online or in the SAP environment?
    Many thanks !

    Hi Santosh,
There is no option available to export only the customized rule sets to another system. The export rules option will give all the rules that are available in that system.
You can do in the below manner
    a) Extract the data from Export rules
    b) Open that text file in a spreadsheet and edit the spreadsheet [Remove the rule sets & the rules not required in production system]
    c) Save the spreadsheet in UTF-8 text file
    d) Upload them in the production.
The above procedure is bit complex and cumbersome -as changing the text file is risky. Even a space will not generate any rules in the RAR. I would suggest rename the new rule set in different naming convention and upload in your test environment before uploading the text files  in Production.
But, using the Export and Import option you cannot upload only the customized rule set as the extract happens for the entire rules sets available in the system.
    Thanks and Best Regards,
    Srihari.K
