Modal window with onmouseOver event

Hi Friends,
I am using modal dialog window , in order to come back to parent screen from where the modal window is invoked, can I use onMouseOver event or something similar so that when user clicks or moves out of the modal window area , the modal window should be closed.

WD doesn't support client side eventing / prgramming. Instead, you can simply store the window instance in a context attribute and destroy the window.

The logic what you follows is some what in the right direction but need to have some changes.
What I would say is, first consume the windowClose event. Then open the dialog box and close the parent accordingly.

Urgent:Using Tooltip with onmouseover event.

I have about 1000 dynamically generated hyperlinks in my web
page. And on the mouse over i am calling a tooltip constructor. But
here the problem is.. when i hover the mouse on the hyper link for
the first time it doesnt show the tooltip. From the second
mouseover onwards it shows on.
Something like this:

That is because when you hovered over the click here you only
initialized the tooltip. Than Spry Tooltip adds a onmouseover event
on your element. So you hover over it again and it shows the
tooltip.
I don't really understand why you would wanna do it that way,
could you explain what you are trying to do here?

Show details from a Report in some items with OnMouseOver-Event

Hi,
I am partially successful.
I have a report where I show LAST_NAME and FIRST_NAME. If I move with the mouse over the report I want so see some details (salary and job) in display-only-items under this report.
Take a look in this screenshot:

This is working if the mouse is over the word of a last name, as example "King" Then I see the details for King. But I want to see also the details, if I am not exactly over the word "King", this have to work also for the whole row. How can I do this? Is there a event "OnMouseOverRow" for tables or like this?

Rebuilding Site with Modal Windows in Muse

My portfolio site uses JavaScript to create a modal window with a width based on the size of the visitor's browser window. I'd like to recreate the site with Muse, but I'm not sure how to recreate this function. How do I incorporate the current JavaScript into a Muse website? Is there a Muse widget that replicates the function? Thanks.

For a separate window in browser you can use composition widgets within Muse , in case you want to use your own code you can use Insert >HTML option in Muse pages.

Flash movie in IE modal window freezes

Hi,
We have a Flash application, written in AS 2, that presents system simulation to learners. During the process we present "audio popups" using External Interface to call a JavaScript function that ultimately calls window.showModalDialog (It's for a corporate environment that requires IE). The page it opens contains a flash file. When one of these audio popups occurs on the first step of the simulation, the flash in the popup is frozen.
Is anyone aware of a scenario that could cause files in modal windows (or possibly just 2 Flash movies on the same page) to freeze up? The file loads, but doesn't play beyond frame 1 and is unresponsive if there is a button.
I can change the Flash file in the popup and the result is always the same, so it's not the file in the popup.
I've replaced the Flash file on the root page with a simple launch file that only calls the popup and it works fine.
Also replacing the modal window with a window.open seems to work as well, but right now we'd like to continue using the modal.
Possibly worth noting, if the modal window is open for too long, I get a "A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player 10 to run slowly...." notice when I close the popup. Not sure if it's related.

Is this Captivate 1 or 2? There are no issues to my knowledge
with either playing the movie in IE7. I use IE7 and see movies just
fine.
My question about version stems from the fact that there are
typically more files to distribute with Captivate 2 than there are
with Captivate 1. However, this can also depend on what you have
selected when you publish. For example, in Captivate 1, you would
have three files to ship if you used the .SWF output with the Full
Screen option. There would be two HTML files and a .SWF.
With Captivate 2, assuming you haven't deviated from the
defaults, you have four files. Two .SWFs, one .HTM and a JavaScript
file.
When you said you see a "black" screen, does this mean the
screen is really black? Or was that a typo and you meant to say it
was "blank" instead. If so, you need to be aware that there is an
additional file you need to include. If you fail to copy the
JavaScript file, the page is blank. I'm thinking this is a strong
possiblity here.

In a form (with table) I want to have bottom (Delete), which call modal window with 2 bottoms "Commit" and "Rollback".
For bottom "Delete" I set:

What I need to do yet.

I set navigation case with "dialog:" (only one: MainForm->ModalForm). In modal Form for 2 bottoms I set Action=<Empty>. But after press those bottoms, table is painted in ModalForm.

JRE 1.5.0_13 problem with Modal Window

We have stand alone browser based application built on HTML, Javascript, and Java (non-GUI applet). We were running the Sun JRE 1.4.2_06, but have recently upgarded to 1.5.0_13. As soon as we upgraded to 1.5, started experiencing the below problem -
The HTML screen displays a modal windows which makes a Java call to the MQClient software through Applet (via OBJECT Tag) to communicate with mainframe. The MQClient Java code seems to be blocked until the user clicks on any other area of the screen to shift the focus from our modal dialog to any other window (either clicking on the task bar, clicking on another window in the background, or hitting Alt/F10 key).
The same code runs fine with JRE 1.4.2_06.
Based on a further analysis+ it seems like there is an issue, when a modal html window makes a java call for creating a socket connection (other then localhost). In this scenario, socket is never created unless you drag a modal window or move a focus away from a modal window.
Above problem seems to be resolved with JRE 1.6.0_10.

.. All the Java class files are bundled in a zip file under different packages and Zip file path is provided at run time when Application starts. Problem with PSE9 - Receiving message window - CAHeadless Debuger Event.

In my last request for Technical support (Case # : 0181931685), I have 2 problems. One about inability to remove PSE9 and reinstalling was corrected by following instructions from Tech.Support. The second problem is still with me. The message window CAHeadless Debuger Event is poping up with the message ...\...\Src\DataManager.cpp-410. The window is having one button <Continue>. When I press the Continue button, everithing work and look OK until next time the windows pop-ups. The computer is new Dell Studio 8100 running OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64. Originaly I started using PSE9 on old Dell with Windows 7 Home premium 32 without any problem. Any advice how to stop this un-plessant message comming?

Modal window can't show window with viewset???

Hi all,
I use the following code to create a popup modal window. When i embed only one view, it works fine, but when i embed a viewset, and put multiple views into the viewset, it can only pop up a tiny little area with nothing in it.
is there a reason for this? what do i do to pop up a window with viewset?

Essential event viewer bugs with "Forwarded Events" log in Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7

To my general experience, Windows event viewer is one of the most problematic, faulty management tools in the case of extensive use of its more sophisticated capabilities. The sole description as well as reproduction of some entangled failures would require
remarkable effort.
With the "Forwarded Events" log however, the situation becomes particularly worse in that even simple functionality fails and workarounds are difficult to find. That’s what I’ll describe here in order to share my experience with interested users.
For precision: I’ve extensively used event viewer on a German Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 (Windows SBS 2011 Standard SP1). The bugs I found on that system, I could reproduce on a German Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit SP1, too.
Problem 1: Failure of even simple event filtering
To reproduce this problem, execute these steps on a test machine with any of the two OS mentioned above:
(i) To prepare log contents, do either of the following:
(a) populate some events to your local "Forwarded Events" log (most simply by subscribing events from other logs of the same machine; stop subscription if you have collected some events)
Or
(b) copy a non-empty log file "ForwardedEvents.evtx" from another machine (with any of the two OS mentioned above) to your test machine and open the file in event viewer.
(ii) Navigate to your "Forwarded Events" test log and open the filtering dialog. In the "Includes/Excludes Event IDs" field, type: 1-9000. Click OK.
(iii) Look at the results pane: Surprise, 0 Events! Do you really have no event IDs between 1 and 9000 in your test log?
(iv) Another example, if you have forwarded security events in your test log: Clear filter, if any previous filter is in place. Open the filtering dialog. In "Keywords" sub-dialog, choose "Audit Success". Click OK.
(v) Look at the results pane: Surprise, 0 Events! Do you really have no successful security monitoring events in your test log?
I’ll finish here. If you have a rich variety of events in your test log available, let your imagination run wild to test around. Finally include some simple manually created or modified XPath filters on the XML tab of the filtering dialog. I promise, you’ll
find a lot of additional strange results.
Problem 2: Cannot save manually selected events to .evtx file
Navigate to your "Forwarded Events" test log. In the results pane, select one or more events by highlighting them by mouse clicks. In context menu, choose "Save selected events". In the "save as" dialog, choose file type *.evtx
and save your file. Open the newly created file in event viewer. Result: Surprise, no events inside the new file!

In the meantime, I performed additional tests. I copied the "ForwardedEvents.evtx" test file from Server 2008 R2 resp. Windows 7 to
(i) German Windows 8 Pro 64-Bit RTM
(ii) German Windows 8.1 Pro 64-Bit, up-to-date
in order to view and filter the file there.
Results: Same event viewer problem on Windows 8 RTM, but correct behavior on Windows 8.1!

I am trying to create an animated group of buttons that open a Bootstrap 3 modal window when clicked. The animation (OAM file) is placed on the Bootstrap page.

Creation of blocking modal windows

Hi
I’m struggling, for sometime now, with the famous
a-synchronic behavior of flex.
I’m trying to develop a function that resembles the
famous VB “MsgBox ()” and opens a UI container (e.g.
like a Title window) in Modal mode while blocking the continuation
of the rest of the code until the UI closes.
I would like to be able to write something similar to the
following set of commands:
MsgBoxInFlex( …..); \\ blocks operation until UI closes
if (x=……)
Problem – as far as I know – is that such a call
to a function (i.e. MsgBoxInFlex) returns the control to the
calling code after the function has finished with no connection to
UI container status. This means that the if command will be running
as soon as the UI will be created and displayed.
Is there a way to both create and work with on the UI
container before the MsgBoxInFlex function returns?
Is there a way to return after a different event - such as
form closure?
Is there a way to capture and block the creation completed
event from being transmitted and decide on when to send it?
Any ideas will be welcomed.

The problem with using popup modal windows (such as Alert) is
that the calling program does not stop from executing while in VB
(or in other tools) the application waits for the Modal window
thread to return.

Non Modal Window Popup BSP View

Hi,
I have a requirement to launch a pop up window which will allow the user to access the original screen from which the pop up was launched (i.e. a non modal window). The pop up window contains a calculator with the intention being that the user would be able to view and copy data displayed on the original screen into the fields of the calculator.
I have created the calculator as a form view within a BSP component. All of the fields on the form view have been configured using the configuration tab. I have successfully created a modal pop up using the following on the buttons click event:
comp_controller->window_manager->create_popup( ).
However, this does not meet my requirement because the form view is displayed in a modal window. I have also attempted to load the pop up using javascript however the view does not initialise correctly when it is loaded which causes a null reference error.
Can anyone please provide any advice or assistance related to creating a non-modal window for a configured form view within a BSP component? Many of the examples I have found online are related to WebDynPro applications and html pages with flow logic rather than configured views with a controller class.

Hi,
I have a requirement to launch a pop up window which will allow the user to access the original screen from which the pop up was launched (i.e. a non modal window). The pop up window contains a calculator with the intention being that the user would be able to view and copy data displayed on the original screen into the fields of the calculator.
I have created the calculator as a form view within a BSP component. All of the fields on the form view have been configured using the configuration tab. I have successfully created a modal pop up using the following on the buttons click event:
comp_controller->window_manager->create_popup( ).
However, this does not meet my requirement because the form view is displayed in a modal window. I have also attempted to load the pop up using javascript however the view does not initialise correctly when it is loaded which causes a null reference error.
