Modify field description for IN9030/Subtype 04 (additional Details)

Hi,
The field description for IN9030/Subtype 04 (additional Details) need to be modified from "Role" to "Role Title".
Pls guide where the Field Text can be changed.

One doubt,
do you want to change the subtype text like for IT 0006 we have subtype 1 = Permanent address, 2 = office address etc
or do you want to change the description of the field that describes the subtype.
If it is the second case then you will either have to change the name at the structure level in PM01 or on the screen on your custom infotype using SE51.
Give your program name and screen number.
Go to layout
double click on the text field which you want to change
change the text and save and activate

Modify field selection for field "Reservation/Purc.req" RESBD-AUDISP

I have alredy modify field in network using OPUA (field selection network header) and set the field "Reservation/Purc.req" CAUFVD-AUDISP make it to only display. But I need to set also the field "Reservation/Purc.req" RESBD-AUDISP to make it display. How can I do that?

How to get field description for custom field just like orgeh in SQ01 Repor

Good Day Friends,
I want to share one of my issue with you.Hope you will resolve it easily .
I have enhaced standard infotype 0001 to maintain JOB CODE field, i also have maintained the
JOB CODE, JOB CODE DESCRIPTION in one custom table ( ZHR_JOBDISC ) .
I have given farigen key relation between this custom table ( ZHR_JOBDISC ) and PA0001. i also have created one search help and assigned to the Field JOB CODE.
But when i am trying to write the query in SQ01 . i am unable to fetch description.
if you observe the standard fields position (PLANS), Organisational Unit (ORGEH).while writing query if you right click on PLANS will show the description of position, similarly if you right click on ORGEH it will show the description org unit.
but i am unable to get the description of my custom field.
Please give clarification where i am doing wrong ?

This is well described in the documentation for the interface of IF_TEXT_IDENTIFIER.
Transaction SE24, enter IF_TEXT_IDENTIFIER, Display' function and check
the 'Interface documentation'. Please choose "HR Class" upon executing for Text Recognition.

Modifying field lenght for an external table via OWB

I am having a problem with flat files and external tables:
I can't specify the field length in the ORACLE_LOADER parameters via OWB, so the driver consider that all my fields are CHAR(255). Concerning the online documentation for Oracle Utilities Part. no. A96652-01 on page 12-21, it's write that the lack of specification about the datatype or length of a field, the driver will assume the fields name and order of the fields defined on the external table fields and they will be CHAR(255). My problem is that we need to use a field bigger than CHAR(255), so I made this external table for example about our problem:

When we put by hand the field length in this script, it works fine!
Is there a way to put the length of the fields in the FIELDS clause of the SQL*Loader control file using OWB?

Have you tried the following:
- Update the data types in the sampled flat file (i.e. go into the field definitions and edit the length).
- Go into the mapping and inbound reconcile the table (right-mouse click the file operator and select inbound reconcile).
- Regenerate, and review the result.

Which table could check 'field description' for one IDOC segment.

Let's take am example of IDOC segment E1EDL20. If i put 'E1EDL20' in T-code: SE11.
Then i could display its structure with full field list.
But you could find that there is 'Blank' in 'field short description'...
May i know which table could check the field short description???

Probaly the name is not maintained in your logon language. Nevertheless you can check the name of all the tables in the table DD02T.

Modifying field info for songs -

Several old disks and some more obscure disks that i've ripped to my iTunes don't contain some info that automatically uploads, such as the date, track numbers and titles. Many of these fields allow you to single click the field to modify the info but the 'year' and the 'track number' won't allow this. Does anyone know how to access these properties, maybe directly at the file within my Explore?

Finding field description is pretty easy. You just need to execute transaction SE11.
Enter the table name i.e. EKET
click on Display.
Check the field with name BESKZ.. In front of it you would find the field description.

Field description changes not showing on one client only

Hello!
I have a network with several clients all running SAP. I have modified lots of field descriptions (by pressing CTRL double click on the field).
This is great - except I have one PC where the field descriptions show the original text, rather than my updated descriptions. This happens even when other SAP users login to this PC.
Can you explain why one PC is not showing the modified field descriptions?

You can get all partners and their type in table EDPP1, depending of the partner type you need to go to specific table for address and other details, like for partner type KU(customer) goto KNA1,etc for partner type LI(vendor) goto LFA1 etc for partner type B(bank) goto BNKA etc ....

I would like to know whether it's possible to configure a different description for a depreciation area in AFAB?
For the moment, the description is " Ordinary deprec." for depreciation area 01. How can I modify it?
I know that the structure related to this configuration point is in "FIAA_SALVTAB_RAPOST" , field TXTL / 20 CHAR.

thanks for your answer. I had already checked this configuration point and I don't think that it's the good one.
This configuration point is dedicated for the modification of the depreciation area name. There is no relation with the program AGFAB - RAPOST.
My question is only related to the field "description" in AFAB and not another one.
I would like to know if this requirement is including a modification of the SAP standard?

If you don't want DFF, you can consider using the following fields during receipt.
Comments (free flowing text - no validation)
Reason code (is restricted to reason codes you have setup in Inventory)
There is a comments field on the Receipt Header as well.

You need to use LiveCycle (PC Only) to create a dynamic form like that.
The best you can do with Acrobat to view all of the text in a field is to set the field to multiline, and set the size to "Auto" (If you don't set the size to 'Auto', you can enter as much text as you wish, but the user will need to use the scrollbar to view all of the text.)
