Modifying alarm setpoints dynamically

How can I modify the alarm settings for my database points through a control in a Lookout application? For example I have a numeric value being monitored, and H and HH alarm points configured, but I want the operator to be able to modify these through a manual entry (pot, etc.) if necessary.

You cannot change the alarm configured for the object dynamically. However, you can achieve the similar results using a separate Alarm object.
In the Alarm object, the 'Signal' datamember would be your original object you want the alarm on. And for the HIHI, HI, etc., you can specify either contant values or other object like Pots and expressions that evaluate to a numeric value.

ISE Alarm (WARNING): Dynamic Authorization Failed for Device

Hi all,
I am posting this discussion as previous posts that I have found in this forum have never been resolved or the resolution is not applicable to me.
I am using ISE 1.1.1.268 and WLC 7.2.111.3 and NAC agent version 4.9.1.6 on Windows 7 Client machines.
About once a day i get the error "ISE Alarm (WARNING): Dynamic Authorization Failed for Device".
The device it is reffering to is my NAD, a WLC 5508 running 7.2.111.3
I have looked at the logs and I cannot see anything in the logs which correcponds to this message so that I can troubleshoot further. Maybe I can if I am enabling the correct logging level on the correct ISE component.
Can someone suggest the components and the logging level that I should set to get some more detail about this error?
At the moment, I have only set debug logging on Active Directory. I have TRACE logging set on Posture, Runtime AAA & prrt-JNI.
I do not want to enable too much debug logs, so I was wondering whether anyone can help with a specific element that I should be debugging.
I thought debugging the posture element would be enough but when I look at the logs there is nothing there that relates to this message.
Can anyone help?

Firstly, I wouldn't run a production deployment of ISE on 1.1.1.... 1.1.3 Patch 1 or 1.1.4 is the way to go.
Secondly, this error happen a lot, especially with Wireless, and it's not worth worrying about. I've had a couple of TAC cases opened for this and some similar errors, generally they're caused by a Client going to sleep, leaving the coverage area or otherwise leaving the WLC while ISE is trying to do something with it.
Only worry if you actually have a Client-impacting problem, which by the sounds of it, you don't.

But DynamicStream.as is part of the code base and the does get executed.   Jody, which version of DynamicStream.as is more current?   The one that ships with FMS 3.5 or the one in tools?
Can anyone answer my original question (I think) which is: should I be able to switch source = http://dynamicStream1.smil -> source = http://dynamicStream2.smil and back and forth etc. It seems to work.    Are there any caveats? I am not switching back and forth between flv-s and smil-s
It turns out that there are a couple of lines of code in NCManger.as::bitrateMatch() which is concatenating the streamName and this results in 404 on the FMS side.   I'm not sure what this is supposed to do or if this is just a bug, but the upshot was that I could not specify source = http://dynamicStream.smil on a remote server. The uncanny part of this issue is if I serve the same smil locally, referencing remote remote smil and media, it works. Maybe this has something to do with the bit rate.    Bottom line is that this cost me 3 days, becuase I was under the incorrect impression that you could not reference *.smil directly and I blindly followed the handrail provided by the the FMS videoPlayer sample. Shame on me for trying to leverage working code shipped with a production version.

Je viens de désinstaller Photoshop CC et Illustrator CC pour installer les version CC 2014 à la place.
Quand dans Photoshop je fais "importer et lier" sur un fichier AI, il s'importe bien mais je ne peux pas le modifier, j'ai le message "impossible de modifier l'objet dynamique d'origine car l'application avec laquelle l'objet dynamique a été créé n'a pas pu être lancée."
J'avais déjà ce problème avec les objets dynamiques en passant de CS6 à CC et je n'avais pas trouvé de solution. C'est quand même assez handicapant.
Suis-je obligé de maintenir les vieilles versions des logiciels pour que cela fonctionne normalement ou existe-t-il une astuce ? Je n'ai pas beaucoup d'espace sur mon SSD système, je ne pourrai pas cumuler x versions de Photoshop et Illustrator...

C:\Users\Votre nom\AppData\Local\Temp
vous trouvez vos objets dynamiques en .ai et .psb
- Il vous suffit de réassigner la bonne version d'illustrator aux fichiers .ai en cochant bien "toujours utiliser ce programme pourr ouvrir ce type de fichier"
Et voilà ça remarche !!!

How to modify POF config dynamically?

we have a application framework developed in C# .NET which includes 5 applications renning under that.
my application is running under this framework. I am rading my POF Config entry from app.config of main applicacation(framework)
I can not add seperate app.config my my application. Also i can not modify the main coherence-pof-config.xml.
Now the problem is, for my application i want to add new user type in my pof-config file dynamically. how to add that?

you can specify the <serializer> in the distributed-scheme or other similar scheme elements in the cache configuration file, and it can take an init param specifying the locator of the file name.

Modify unload option dynamically

Hi,
I want to change the way of how a SequenceCall step is unloaded during execution.
Here is the situation, you can find a template of the sequence content :
CallerSequence :
For i=0 to N calls
        SequenceCall()
The SequenceCall module is defined during execution so it is always loaded dynamically and changed at each iteration. All the SequenceCall steps call sequences which are never in the same SequenceFile.
The problem is that I need to modify the ModuleUnloadOption of the SequenceCall step at each iteration. To do it, I performed 2 things :
- I unticked the "Optimize Reentrant Call to this Sequence" option for each sequence called. Because the sequence called can be unloaded (depending on unload option) at the end of the CallerSequence. The execution is not over after.
- I wrote, in the CallBack ProcessModel "ProcessModelPreStep", instructions to change the flag "ModuleUnloadOption" => After Step Executes (=2) or Sequence File unloaded (=4)
Observations :
During execution, it seems that the flag "ModuleUnloadOption" is correctly modified before each SequenceCall (I checked it with breakpoints). but it seems that is not applied. It seems that the Unload Option setting before starting execution remains the same even if the flag "ModuleUnloadOption" is modified.
Any ideas of what is wrong with this method ?

Modifying value of dynamic field-symbol

I have a requirement in which i need to access columns of a dynamic internal table , manipulate and update back to the dynamic internal table
Names of the columns are also not fixed. This i am determing at the runtime.
Following is the code used :

lv_field = p_fields " This is the field i am taking from the selection screen which needds to be manipulated.

How to modify rendered HTML dynamically

Hi, I'm looking for a method to modify rendered HTML appearance at runtime. I.e. enabling/disabling a button according to some other condition. I can do it within the same page, by means of a valueChangeListener, then searching for the componennt id to enable/disable. But I cannot when coming from another page, since the involved lifecycle refers to this one. The target page is rendered at the end, and I would like to modify its button then. I guess I should influence the render response phase to enable/disable that button, but how ?

You can use EL in the rendered or disabled attributes:

How to modify page item dynamically

I have a DB table called attribute in that i am having set of attributes namely att1,att2,att3....... And in application builder i had created a page called service request. When i run the page it have att1,att2,att3 and their corresponding page items. For example ATT1 has text field,ATT2 has a text field,ATT3 has select list. Now the user want to edit the page items(while the page running) ATT1 to select list and ATT2 to Select list and ATT3 to Text field after the changes it should reflect in the application page.

Has anyone tried modifying SOAP URL dynamically using UDF in the mapping?. I searched Forum and couldn't get right answer. Does it work with Adapter Specific settings and variable transport binding? How to add cell editor to cell variant dynamically?

because the data structure only can be determined at runtime. And the table column should have two
cell variants. I don't know the exact cell variant class which should be used. I only find an abstract class about cell variant CL_WD_ABSTR_TABLE_CELL_VAR , but I can't find any method in this class which
can add cell editor under this cell variant.

I am able to add Column with CommandImageLink.And onclick of that link i am able to display another popup.
Now another problem which i am facing is when i select one row from popup and click "Ok" i have to modify some columns from Dyanamic table which is displayed on main page.
For this.
1)First i took the selected row from dyanamic table to update that perticular row depending upon the row which i select from popup.
if you see the code above i am refaring the list as collection for data.So i am updating that collection but again it is refreshing to it's original value.
because number of times getList() method of bean get's called equal to number of columns. which brings the values from database.
Here On click of popup's Ok button I don't want to save the data for table i just want to show there in some column's .and After click on SAVE button from table i have to save it.
Let me help how can i modify the Dynamic table's data.

Alarm/Alert Threshold Configuration

Is there currently a way to modify alarms related to interferences on a per interference level? I have looked all over and I can only find enabling or disabling them but not adjust them as granular as we would like. We have APs located all over the country in locations that house a good amount of Guest traffic and BYOD. We get slammed with DECT Like phone, WiFi Invalid Channels, Inverted Channels all the time. We don't want to just stop alarming or alerting on them, but rather adjust the sensitivity to account for this specific environment.

There are some settings you can change on the WLC relating to alert / alarm levels in areas like client density, interference, etc.
You can find those under Wireless > 802.11a/n/ac or 802.11b/g/n > RRM > Coverage or General depending on the setting.

Can't write anything with javascript in a new window create dynamically with "window.open"

I develop a website and an application in html/css/javascript and i have a problem.
I need to open a new window with "window.open", and then change and modify the content dynamically with javascript in it. It works perfectly in Firefox 3.6 and lower but not in Firefox 4.
In Firefox 4, the window is created, but it stay white with "about blank" as name.
Do you have an idea of what I can do? Can I detect if the browser is Firefox 4, and if it is true, instead of "window.open", create a new tab? Can I change the content dynamically in it, and how?
