Modifying DSP resource Allocation on the AS5300

It seems I may have some faulty DSP banks on an AS5300 but aren't sure how to 'juggle' the resources around to identify where the faulty channels lie. Could anyone point me in the right direction??
Many thanks

Many thanks for that.
I'm unsure whether it is a DSP problem...basically whats happening is that the DTMF tones are going astray when the AS5300 is busy, I'm unsure how to edit the DTMF settings on the box. So there's two things, firstly how would I be able to tell if it's a DSP resource that is faulty?? And also, where in the config can I manipulate the DTMF transport methods??
Many thanks again

  • Axis resource allocation and the MID-7654

    Hello All,
    I am currently transferring my application over to use the MID-7654 instead of third party drives.  Below is the start up process I am using to allocate the axis resources:
      //kill and disable all axes
      flex_stop_motion(boardID,0,NIMC_KILL_STOP,0x000F);
      flex_enable_axes(boardID,0,3,0x00);
      //unmap all axis resources
      flex_config_axis(boardID,NIMC_AXIS1,0,0,0,0);
      flex_config_axis(boardID,NIMC_AXIS2,0,0,0,0);
      flex_config_axis(boardID,NIMC_AXIS3,0,0,0,0);
      flex_config_axis(boardID,NIMC_AXIS4,0,0,0,0);
      //map encoder resources to axes 1 and 2
      flex_config_axis(boardID,NIMC_AXIS1,NIMC_ENCODER1,0,0,0);
      flex_config_axis(boardID,NIMC_AXIS2,NIMC_ENCODER2,0,0,0);
      //enable axes 1 and 2
      u8 mask = MASK1|MASK2;
      status = flex_enable_axes(boardID,0,3,mask);
    Basically, I want to use the encoder resources for each axis for position/velocity monitoring and control the analog outputs directly to change the torque of the motors.  Since my impedance control software is closing the position and velocity loops, I do not want to use the PID controller onboard the PCI-7344.
    The above code worked fine with the third party drive.  However, after starting up my application with the MID drive, all of the orange inhibit LEDs turn on and remain that way (I assume it is to do with killing and disabling all of the axes and not mapping output resources to them).  Since I wasn't previously using the inhibit output from the motion controller, my application worked fine with the third party drive (I was still able to read the encoder feedback information).
    Also, when I was using the MAX '1-D interactive' interface to verify my encoder feedback, if I move either encoder immediately after initialization the 'Motor off' and 'Following error' lights turn red.  I assume this is due to the encoder moving without a command sent from the motor).
    Can anyone see any problems with the above code segment or suggest an initialization procedure that would solve my problems.  Or if all else fails, is it possible to control the inhibit signals directly to enable/disable the axes on my own?
    Wow... I certainly rambled on a bit there....  If you need clarification on any points let me know.  Also, I am on a bit of a time crunch, so a prompt reply would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Chad

    Chad,
    I'm a bit astonished that you don't want to use the PID controller on the board. Onboard PID control is one of the main reasons why you would like to use a motion control board instead of a simple multifunction I/O device. The onboard PID loop of the 7344 can run with up to 16 kHz with very low jitter whilst using the DACs directly from your host application will result in a control loop with less than 200 Hz and a high amount of jitter - even if you were using a real-time OS. This will result in poor control behavior.
    This is caused by the architecture of the board. The DACs can be controlled directly by the DSP on the board with high rates in a determenistic way but the host can access them only through the board's µController that runs the host communication in 5 ms cycles that can't be synchronized with the application on the host PC. So for this usecase a combination of e. g. a PCI-6229 (multifunction DAQ board with 4 analog outputs) and a PCI-6601 (4 counters with direct quadrature encoder connectivity) would do a much better job at even a lower price.
    With this said I really can't reccomend the usage of a PCI-7344 as a pure I/O-board. Please provide some information why you want/need to choose this approach. There are a lot of options to build customized motion control systems. Please follow this link for some further information.
    A key feature of every control system is deterministic behavior so you will need to run your application on a real-time OS. Otherwise you won't be able to get a reliable control behavior.
    I can give you some more specific advice if you post some background information about your application.

  • Field for resource allocation in project online

    Hi,
    I'm running Project Pro for Office 365. I'm trying to build some Business Intelligence reports. I would like to make a PivotChart in excel where the X-Axis is the time and the Y-axis is the allocation percentage. I would have a filter to select the resources
    i want to show the bar chart for. That way i can see over the next few weeks/months who is going to be too busy once they go over 100%. How/where do I get the field for a resource allocation in the OData? What is the name for it, is there a list somewhere
    of all the fields one can include into a custom OData?
    Thank you for your help.

    Jim,
    No, using the GUI. Resource Rates are per resource, and will have to be populated when creating the resource.
    However, you can bulk edit the resources in project pro and set the standard rate in one go.

  • Resource allocation issue

    Hi,
    I have configured 2 resource classes in ACE as follows:
    resource-class BE-Nonprod
    limit-resource all minimum 20.00 maximum unlimited
    limit-resource sticky minimum 20.00 maximum equal-to-min
    resource-class FE-Nonprod
    limit-resource all minimum 20.00 maximum unlimited
    limit-resource sticky minimum 20.00 maximum equal-to-min
    I have applied it to the respective contexts. When i execute "show resource allocation" on the admin context, I see that the minimum bandwidth is 17.77% instead of 20%(see the attachment)Is this a bug or am i doing something wrong. Please advice.

    Hi
    send me the output for,
    show running-config resource-class
    You can also use
    limit-resource rate banddwidth minimum 20% maximum unlimited.
    It will override the
    limit-resource all minimum 20.00 maximum unlimited
    command.
    This command shows the resource allocation but does not show the actual resources being used.
    You can display the resource usage for each context from the Admin context by using the show resource usage command in Exec mode. The syntax of this command is as follows:
    show resource usage [all | ] [counter [all | current | denied | peak [count_threshold]]]
    The keywords, arguments, and options are as follows:
    •all-(Optional) Displays the resource usage for each context individually. This is the default setting.
    •context name-(Optional) Displays the resource usage for the specified context. The name argument is case sensitive.
    •summary-(Optional) Displays the total resource usage for all contexts. For example, the denied column shows the items that have been denied for each context limit.
    •top number-(Optional) Displays the greatest n users of a single resource arranged from the highest to the lowest percentage of resources used. You must specify a single resource type. You cannot use the resource all keywords with this option.
    •resource-(Optional) Displays statistics for one of the following specified resources:
    -acc-connections-Displays the number of application acceleration connections.
    -acl-memory-Displays the ACL memory usage.
    -all-Displays the resource usage for all resources used by the specified context or contexts.
    -conc-connections-Displays the resource usage for the number of simultaneous connections.
    -mgmt-connections-Displays the resource usage for the number of management connections.
    -probes-Displays the resource usage for the probes.
    -proxy-connections-Displays the resource usage for the proxy connections.
    -rate-Displays the rate per second for the specified connections or syslog messages.
    Kindly send me the output also for
    #show resource usage all

  • OIM: Hide provisioned roles/responsibilities in the modify provisioned resource request dataset

    Hi,
    We are provisioning Oracle E-Business Suite R12 through EBS UM connector. Is there a way where we can either hide the already provisioned EBS roles/responsibilities in the available list of roles/responsibilities or move these under Selected Responsibilities and make them non-editable ? I couldn't find a way to do that in the Modify Provisioned Resource E-Business Suite Request Dataset. Please advise
    Thanking in Advance
    Abir

    1. End user raising the request is able to view the process form, I need to restrict few attributes i.e. position and responsiblity should not be visible to end userEnd user will see Application Instance Form and you can customize the UI to hide attributes
    2. Position and Responsibility should be provided by approver (this is specified in request data set of provision resource)
    Make your Java Code/Beans/Expression to show/hide attributes conditionally.
    3. As per Oracle document there is no request data set for PROVISION and MODIFY resource. What is the replacement for this?Application Instance Form
    4. After Request is raised it has been assgined to xelsysadm, how do i control the approval ?Approval Policies

  • Resource Management of Shared Resource Pool at the Project Level

    I am having difficulty figuring out how to implement our resource management process. Currently we have one "Resource Pool" project that has all the shared resources. It is connected to both a "master portfolio" plan that has some task
    detail in it and other individual project plans that have their own WBS (for larger projects).
    The difficulty arises because we want to do resource allocation at a project level, but the resource usage view shows the WBS/task level detail.  I've tried grouping the resources assignments by resource and then project, but since everything is
    in the "Resource Pool" project, they all group under that project.  I've tried adding the "Project" field and it does show as the source project, but it doesn't group on that field, but rather the "Resource Pool" project
    only.
    How can I see resource allocation/usage at just the project level so our managers can do planning, negotiation, and re-allocation on a periodic basis with one simple view?
    My best current idea is to disconnect all the sub-tasks from the sharer, eliminate the WBS below the project level in the master plan and attach resources at that single line project in that master plan.  Then, we would have to manually alter the "Max"
    available time in the individual sub-plans as we altered allocations.  That essentially disconnects individual plans from both the master plan and the shared resource pool.
    Is there a better way?

    Mark,
    Yeah, I think there is a better way. Having a linked structure the contains both a pool file and a dynamic master is tenuous enough (i.e. prone to corruption), but if you start disconnecting from the pool and and messing with the master, you will most certainly
    invite trouble.
    But here is an approach that might work. I tested it on a sample pool file with two sharer files and I think it might give you what you want.
    1. First, either manually copy or use VBA to copy the contents of the Project field to a custom text field in each sharer file
    2. In the pool file display the Resource Usage view
    3. Create a group that first groups on the Resource Name and then on the Text1 field, and select "group assignments, not resource"
    4. Change the Text1 group field to be "assignment"
    Does that give you what you want?
    To help visualize, here is a screenshot of my test file. After grouping I applied a filter to Text1 with the option to also show summary tasks:

  • OIM 11g R1 - Modifying a Resource Erases Custom Process Task ???

    I've created a Generic Resource in OIM that uses the Database Applications Table connector 9.1.0.5.0.
    Then I add my own process tasks through Design Console under "Process Management -> Process Definitions". On each custom process task I've attached my own custom adapters, which I created through "Development Tools -> Adapter Factory" in Design Console. These custom adapters use methods from my Java code. My Java jar file is located in "Oracle_IDM1/server/JavaTasks".
    Now here is the issue:
    Whenever I modify this resource in OIM under "Configuration -> Manage Generic Connector" (E.g Changing reconciliation type from Full to Incremental), all my custom process tasks get deleted.
    What is the reason for this? Is there a solution for this problem?

    This is indeed a major flaw for GTC. Below I found this issue in a Oracle doc.
    Doc Link: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e14309/aptrouble.htm
    Below is a description of this issue from the Oracle documentation
    Summary:
    Customization work done on objects of a generic technology connector would be overwritten if you perform a Manage Generic Technology Connector operation.
    Description:
    You can use the Design Console to customize connector objects that are automatically created during generic technology connector creation. However, after you customize connector objects, if you perform a Manage Generic Technology Connector operation, then all the customization done on the connector objects would be overwritten. Therefore, Oracle recommends that you to apply one of the following guidelines:
    Do not use the Design Console to modify generic technology connector objects.
    The exception to this guideline is the IT resource. You can modify the parameters of the IT resource by using the Design Console. However, if you have enabled the cache for the GenericConnector and GenericConnectorProviders categories, then you must purge the cache either before or after you modify IT resource parameters. See "Purging the Cache" in the Oracle Fusion Middleware System Administrator's Guide for Oracle Identity Manager for information about running the PurgeCache utility.
    If you use the Design Console to modify generic technology connector objects, then do not use the Manage Generic Technology Connector feature to modify the generic technology connector.
    Connector objects that are automatically created are not deleted even if the generic technology connector creation process fails.

  • Taking Resources Allocation memory reservations into account with CIQ 1.5

    Hello all,
    I am trying to use CapacityIQ (1.5.2) to estimate how many more VMs can fit in our environment.  Unfortunately Capacity IQ appears to be estimating a _much_ larger number of available VMs (CIQ says space for 49 more VMs; Resource Allocation tab suggests room for ~1 more VM).
    With the goal of having our VMs run optimally (many of them run java), we tend to use full memory reservations on our VMs, as suggested by VMware (http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1008480).  This post (http://communities.vmware.com/message/1601230#1601230) suggests that CIQ does not take memory reservations into account when calculating capacity.  This would be a glaring oversight by VMware; please tell me it's not correct and that there is a setting that can be changed so I _can use_ (aka continue purchasing) CapacityIQ.

    More or less you can use the following:
    resultGetObjects = userOperationsIntf.getObjects(plUserKey);
                int countResultGetObjects = resultGetObjects.getRowCount();
                logger.debug("CommonProvisioning.updateProcessForm Object Count = " + countResultGetObjects);
                for (int j = countResultGetObjects; --j >= 0;) {
                    resultGetObjects.goToRow(j);
                    String objName = resultGetObjects.getStringValue("Objects.Name");
                    String status = resultGetObjects .getStringValue("Objects.Object Status.Status");
                    if (resourceObjName.equalsIgnoreCase(objName) && "Provisioned".equalsIgnoreCase(status)) {
                        prntPrvsndPrsInsKey = resultGetObjects .getLongValue("Process Instance.Key");
                         break;

  • How can i modify exe resource in java?

    How can i modify exe resource in java?
    No jni
    thx.

    if it is .NET code decompilation is possible if, and only if the code is not Packed by protections!
    but if the EXE file is native and created by VB 6.0,C/C++,Delphi,... it is not possible to obtain source code from it, not as far as i know.
    (some program does it , but the returned source code is as useful as its assembly code in debugger).
    if decompilation was that easy then Reverse Engineering was no longer needed!
    What program it is so that can put two exe file into each other ?
    the program you seen might put second exe file into its DATA section then when it executes ,
    it jumps to data section of itself!
    otherwise it is not possible.
    Good luck.

    Does anyone have any experience of using HRMS to assist in resource allocation etc? (storing skills data and matching it against role profiles etc)

    HRMS enables a competence profile to be stored against each person. Competences can also be stored against Jobs and so the matching of Job to Candidates can take place.

  • Proper amount of DSP resources in router?

    Let's say we have a small site with 25 IP phones, 4 analog devices using a FXS module in the router and an ISDN PRI circuit using a T1 module in the router.  I assume a PVDM3 module with 64 DSPs would be more than enough to handle that site?  Does the FXS module have its own DSP resources and we don't need to figure those in?  I figure the ISDN PRI would use up to 23 DSP resources and then what's left out of the 64 on that PVDM3 could be used for conferencing, media termination point and so on.  Am I thinking about this correctly?   Sound reasonable (64 DSPs for a site like that)?

    I didn't know there was one....but I just found it.  Thanks
