Monitor standard out continously

I'm using Linux labview and need to continuously monitor another
program output to "standard out" while it is running.  The System
Exec.vi will only update the "standard out" when the program finishes.
Is there a direct way of doing this instead of redirect the standard
out to a file then read that file periodically?
thanks,
Anh

first grant
java.lang.Runtime Permission to the
user in whose schema ur going to execute code.
Then in ur code set the standard.out stream
to a file
e.g.
System.setOut(new PrintStream(
new FileOutputStream("log file name"))
this will send all system.out messages
to ur logfile
do the same for stderr as well.

  • Is it possible to monitor server standard out logs with WLDF

Does anyone know if there is a way to configuring a monitor to watch a managed server standard out log instead of the managed server's server log? I know you can redirect the standard out log to the server log, but it looks like you can't redirect debug or info level messages. Every once in a while the JVM crashes because of an app deployed to one of my servers. I want to alert someone to check on the server to see if its restarted by nodemanager, but the message appears as a [DEBUG] message in my standard out log which it doesn't look like can be redirected to the server log.

    Hi
Yes, you can generate list of server with registry key.you need to create a custom class bases of local application and create a registry filtered discovery to check reg key is present.

  • G5 HP Monitor blacks out, says No Input Signal

This happens when the computer warms up, goes away after sleep, but always comes back. Problem compounded by the computer telling me my GeForce FX 5200 graphic card status is "No display connected." What stupid thing have I done or not done. Computer's new, a dual 1.8, so I don't know my way around it; not that I'm at all tekkie. Any obvious help come to mind? Thanx.

I get the video back by either turning "Source" on the monitor off and then clicking it back on, or turning the monitor power off and then turning it back on. In either case, I'll usually get another five to eight minutes before the monitor blacks out again. If I repeat the process, the interval between blackouts gets shorter and shorter until I cave in, put the computer to sleep and come back in fifteen or twenty minutes, after which I get a pretty good run again, fifteen to twenty minutes. Because I do a lot of writing, it's a process of mental harrassment having my train of thought broken. I'm developing a flinch in anticipation, which sure don't make for limpid prose.
I've only had the computer for two months, so it has never occurred to me to vacuum it. You really think that might help?
Can't say how grateful I am to you experts for your attention and advice.

  • Monitor says "Out of Range"

    G3 Beige tower OS9 Monitor message"out of range"Then goes black.Battery changed.Hoping for a miracle,I use this setup for music,Studio vision Pro.

    Hi, George -
The 'out of range' message indicates that the resolution setting being read for the monitor is one the monitor can not handle. This can result from someone fiddling with the monitor resolution settings, or possibly from a damaged prefs file.
Have you tried booting to a CD?
If you're using OS 9 on that machine, try using an OS 9 Install CD as the boot volume. If it boots successfully using that, then try throwing away these two preference files -
Display Preferences (located loose in Preferences in System Folder)
Monitor Preferences (located in a folder by the same name in Preferences in System Folder)
    - and then do a restart, zapping the PRAM in the process.
If that works, it should reset the resolution to either 600x480 or 800x600. You can then reset the resolution to what you usually keep it at, followed by a shutdown (the shutdown is necessary to transfer the setting to PRAM).
Occasionally the problem can exist in the monitor - some of those, especially CRT types, can have their own PRAM, and it can get bollixed or retain the wrong info. If your monitor has separate power and video cables, you can try resetting the PRAM in the monitor itself. To do this, power everything down, disconnect the video cable from the Mac. Then turn the monitor on, wait 15 to 20 seconds, then turn it off; wait about 10 seconds, then repeat the cycle, 3 or 4 times. Then reconnect the video cable and boot back up.

  • Toshiba nb505 dual monitor & line out sound

Hi all, I've gotten a toshiba recently. Everything is working perfectly right out of the box--except the dual monitor setup (w/ a maxent moniter as the secondary).
The maxent works fine w/ other laptops, so that item is not the problem. It has to be the toshiba. When the toshiba starts up, the images like the toshiba logo and very initial windows splash will show up. But then it stops, and the maxent just goes back to its blue screen. In addition, the line out sound will only play right speaker sound (on the maxent and other devices) . . . but w/ headphones it is fine.
Please advise on any suggestions. Drivers are all up-to-date and windows updates are good, so I'm really lost.
This should be basic, so it's pretty disappointing this isn't working. Thank you!
    system info:
    toshiba nb505-508BL
OS Windows 7 Home Premium, 32 bit

    update:
sound line out: Apparently the speaker on that maxent monitor flat out just doesn't work anymore--no matter what input. And I suppose my hearing is such that it may well have been like that for a while, as it's unlikely the toshiba just happened to blow out that speaker these few recent times I hooked it up to the maxent (as there was no such indication, like a pop or the like).
dual monitor: Testing w/ other monitors successfully, this seems to be more a compatibility issue w/ the Maxent itself (though there may be other monitors it won't work w/, too). So I mostly wanted to put this out there still if wide compatibility w/ dual/external monitors is something that others are considering this sys. for, too. . . .
Otherwise, the netbook is working fine, and I have no other complaints--though I found this dual monitor issue rather disappointing (still I feel it's quite possible that a RAM upgrade may resolve this, since others have cited that upgrade as rather essential for getting the most out of this little sys., but I haven't tried that yet).

  • Portg Z30-A-1E1 - External monitor blacks out randomly

Very annoying problem - every now and then the monitor blacks out for 2 seconds and comes back.
Monitor is powered all the time.
HDMI cable changed twice and does not solve the problem.
Seems like a change of resolution or a reset - can the problem be in the graphic card? Otherwise maybe the HDMI port itself detecting strange stuff?
Please help I'm getting crazy as I work 90% of the time on external monitor.
    Thanks

  • Monitor wigging out; lines and weird layers; Software or Hardware?

Monitor wigging out; lines and weird layers jiggle and shake back and forth.
iMac will only run a few minutes before it happens.
I am ran Apple Hardware Test and everything checked out OK and my iMac ran flawlessly for hours after AHT, then I restarted it and BAM!! there it is again only worse.
    Could this a software issue?
    Any ideas??

same thing here....was fine one min, then i come back after the screen saver came on, and it wouldn't respond. It wasn't responding so I had no option but to force shutdown. Turned it back on and the screen went wacky on me. Now it'll start up, but won't make it to my desktop. I can access it via afp (file sharing) but not VNC (screen sharing). Somebody help please! this is my second Mac to go bad and I'm starting to get really disappointed.

  • Monitor blacks out when booting with KVM Switch in the middle

    Hi
I have attached my Xserve with an iMac G5 to a KVM Switch. When I boot up the Xserve the monitor blacks out after the apple logo.
I know that the Xserve tries to autodetect the monitor. Apparently it fails in its job when the KVM is in the middle. Everything works well when I remove the KVM and connect the monitor directly to Xserve.
Any ideas how do I disable the monitor autodetect feature - or something?
Xserve (intel) Mac OS X (10.4.1) dkvm-4u KVM switch

    Hi all
I did try that. No luck.. Strangely enough, I realized that when the server boots up, the login screen defaults to 85HZ refresh rate. I found a site that explains the plist file that you can change to force it to 60HZ. What is weird it if I boot the Mac connected to another LCD, then move the cable to the KVM, it works. It almost seems like when the mac is booting, it sends some sort of signal just before the login screen comes up, that screws up this KVM. Tried updating firmware, still in the process of speaking with the KVM support people...
    very strange..

  • MacBook Pro 9,1 External Monitor Blanks Out?

I have a 15-inch, Mid 2012 MacBook Pro with a 2.3 GHz i7 processor, which I purchased last December. For some reason my external monitors blank out about 1-3 times per day. As far as I can tell the symptons are not reproducable. It just seems to randomly happen.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what was the solution?
    Thanks!

Are you sure it is not a hardware problem? A bad cable or a poor connection?
I would try this after eliminating hardware causes.
Go to System Preferences / Displays. Verify the settings are correct, and correct or not change them arbitrarily - just move the settings back and forth - and then set them back where you want them.
    Now reset the PRAM:
    Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.

  • Macbook monitor went out. Driver issue?

About 8 months ago my macbook monitor went out. Since then I have been using an external monitor. This week I booted to a Linux live CD (Kubuntu) and the monitor worked just fine.
I would appreciate any suggestions or direction with this.
Seems to be a simple driver problem. I have checked the Intel and Apple websites to see if there was a driver and couldn't find anything.

Hi xenogy, and a warm welcome to the forums!
First try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
It also tries to load a "safe Video Driver".
    Get Pacifist...
    http://www.charlessoft.com/
then extract what you need from your Install Disk.
Or, a relatively painless Archive & Install, which gives you a new/old OS, but can preserve all your files, pics, music, settings, etc., as long as you have plenty of free disk space and no Disk corruption, and is relatively quick & painless...
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107120
Just be sure to select Preserve Users & Settings.

  • Vixia HF50 - "Monitor while Out" connection not established

I have the HF50, win 7 home edition laptop and linksys wrt54gs2 v1 and trying to connect with an iphone using the "monitor while out" function.
    - streaming from camera to iphone works fine, while in recording mode
    - when in play mode connecting to access point works, and I can find the camera in the networks of my laptop
    - When in streaming mode and trying to connect with "monitor while out", I get an error message that I have to change the port settings.
    - the port is set to 80, and I entered a password (into the camera)
    - I ran the checking tool that is supposed to check the system capability to use the "monitor while out" function.
    - 1st check says system is not properly configured, router does not support "UPnP. I checked, the router is in fact capable of UPnP and this function is enabled
    - Ran the tool again and not its saying router does not allow port mapping. I think it does, because I have some ports open for the xbox. Otherwise, I don't have much of a clue....
    - I opened port 80 entering the IP of my computer and the checking tool says nothing found that would prevent me from using .....
    - I opened port 80 to the IP address of the camera, however the camera won't connect allays the same error.
    - I played with the settings in the router, but no success.
    - running the checking tool seems to give random results between router does not provide UPnP, no port mapping and no issue found.
I suspect the issue is in the router, but I don't have any idea what to try out next.
    Any help is appreciated.

Yes, our psearch connections are indeed closed when an entry change triggers the DS server to write to those connections.
Now we just have to make sure there will be entry change to trigger connection clean up before our DS reaches nsslapd-maxpsearch.
    Thank you.

  • 2 Monitors went out

Can my Desktop computer make my Monitor go out When the first monitor went out the power light was on but the screen was black. My Brother tried it on his computer and it was doing the same thing. I had hooked up on mine my old Monitor I hooked it up. It worked fine at first. But buy the next morning it was out. The power light won't even come on.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The odds of a computer causing a monitor to die are slim, usually there are other factors that cause this.

  • Alternate way to print to Standard Out

    Hi,
I have been trying an alternate way to print on the standard out but i dont know where i am going wrong.
this is how I am doing it:
    BufferedWriter writer = new BufferedWriter(new
    OutputStreamWriter(System.out));
    writer.write("hello");
the code compiles well but there is no output. As far as I know, OutputStreamWriter converts char to bytes for the underlying byte stream(System.out) and BufferedWriter converts text into char. So everything should work. But it doesnt.
can someone help me? please also try to explain the process.
    Parvez.

can someone help me? please also try to explain the
process.I guess I forgot this part. The reason that you use a buffer is so you don't have to send every single byte out to the stream one by one. If you have a buffer you can delay the send until the buffer is full. So when the buffer gets full, its will automatcially flush those bytes out to the stream. However, if the buffer doesn't reach capacity you will have to forecably flush it yourself in order for those bytes to get on their merry way.
