Monitoring more than 3000 targets experience wanted?

we are considering combine monitoring Production, Development and Test environment from the the same box (have multiple OMSs and one repository at the same box).
Even they are three different environment (different firewalls and ports open, but no firewall between the environments - moreover thay are on the same subnet)
Did anybody have a similar experience as far as what are the pros and cons are conserned?

Since by definition a single EM agent must reside on a single database host, then, no, you can't monitor multiple hosts.
Unless you mean that you want to monitor multiple virtual hosts from a single physical host ... but in that case, you'd still need one host per database host.
That's just the way EM works. Always has, probably always will.

I think there is no bad joining. b'se when the querry is executed in sql, it is working properly(means returns only one record) . This problem is not for a particular report. Any report using the "form layout", the same problem occurs.
Why this problem occurs. How can we solve it.

Defining more than one Target transport system

Is it possible to have more than one Target Transport systems defined for a single source System in SLD at one time?

On a similar note with a 3 tier XI landscape (DEV, QAS, PRD) which of the following two scenarios is preferable?
1. In the SLD define each DEV Business System with a target of the corresponding QAS Business System and define each QAS Business System with a target of the corresponding PRD Business System.
DEV ---> QAS ---> PRD
This means that we export ID objects from DEV and then import them into QAS. The objects then need to be exported from QAS for import into PRD
2. In the SLD define the DEV Business Systems with 2 target systems relating to corresponding QAS and PRD Business Systems.
DEV --> QAS
DEV --> PRD
This means that the same export from DEV can be used for import to both QAS and PRD.
Currently we have scenario 1 implemented but I am thinking of changing this to scenario 2 which I believe is a better solution as only one export is required and it is guaranteed that the same objects are being imported into QAS and PRD.
Any Comments?

Welcome to the Apple community.
You can't link your Apple IDs, all you need to do is use the same ID on all devices and your contacts etc will sync.

COPA derivation rule :more than 6 target fields

Hi ,
As per client's requirement I need to include 10 target fields in a COPA derivation rule . Now after entering 6 , I can see rest of the rows are greyed out ; it looks like SAP does not allow more than 6 as target .
I tried to find out if such limitation is mentioned anywhere in SAP documentation but I could not find ; if anyone has any reference doc on that please let me know .
Secondly , how to meet the requirement ? I can break the same into 2 separate derivation , say 6 target & related rule value in the first and in just next step another 4 targets & rule value ; the source remains same in both the step .
OR any COPA user exit / enhancement will help me accommodate all 10 targets in a single step of derivation ? as far as my knowledge goes SAP provided COPA user exits (1 to 5) will not be helpful here .

As per my knowledge it is not possible to mention more than 6 source and target fields for a derivation rule.
Because for that program, SAP defines that (1+5) fields for that screen.
That is the reason you are getting the gray color after 6 entries
Yes we can increase that limit but for that we need the access key.
If you have access key authorization, you can increase the limit
Reasons in detail:
Screen filed what you are looking for is:
DYNP5400-SRC-NAME-FIELDNAME
There you can enter (1+5) entries only. enhancement for that field is difficult.
So you can opt for 2nd option as you said.

control-click on the group in Address Book and select "edit distribution list". it will let you select the addresses to be used for contacts with multiple emails.

30GB Classic only holds a little more than 3000 songs

My 30 GB iPOD is showing almost full (1.79 GB free) with only 3068 songs on it, when it says it should hold 7500.
I checked a bunch of songs and most are all listed as a bit rate of 128 kbps. and in AAC format. But there are some saved in a much higher format.
What's the advantage to the higher size format?

If you care about sound quality, yes.
For me, fully uncompressed songs (such as WAV files) are not suitable for the iPod as it's a waste of space.
Apple Lossless will give excellent sound quality, but at a file size that is much larger than mp3 or aac (but far smaller then say WAV), so the trade off here is not as many songs will fit on your iPod.
You should probably start by encoding a piece of music you are familiar with, in either mp3 or aac at something like 192kbps, listen to it, then try again at different bit rates, both lower and higher, to see if you can hear a difference in sound quality.
 If you can’t hear the difference in sound quality between various bitrates, then the lower one will suffice, and you can store more songs on your iPod. Try this in both encoding formats. You could encode the same song several times in iTunes under a slightly different name (just edit the song in iTunes and add the bitrate after the song title), transfer these songs to your iPod and do some comparative listening. Then you can make an informed decision about which format/bitrate is best for you.
Yes it’s time consuming, but much better to rip your cds at decent sound quality now, rather than decide much later that you are not satisfied, and have to rip them again.
And incidentally, a song of the same length, encoded at the same bitrate, gives an almost identical file size whether it be encoded in aac or mp3.
Where the space saving issue comes in is because many people say that if you encode a song at 128kbps in aac format, then the sound quality is as good as the same song encoded at 160 or 192kbps in mp3 format, therefor with aac you can lower the bitrate, get the same (or better ) quality, and store more songs on your iPod.
 It's very subjective and you shouldn't let anyone tell you what to use.
Let your ears be your guide.

I have an interactive report in which I have made one of the column as a editable dropdown list item using the APEX API ITEM APEX_ITEM.SELECT_LIST_FROM_QUERY_XL, I am getting an error saying that
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small
I think the drop down list is not able to hold that many values. The number of values can grow in the future.
Can anyone suggest me any other approach to resolve this issue.

Yes I have tried but the popup lov is not returning a value to my report when i click a value on the POPUP lov.
So I did it in another way, the same problem exists again its not returning the value.
Like I have a interactive report, in which I have have made one of column as an editale text item and concatenated it with an image when clicked on the image

Scalling in SA - More than target qty

I am maintaining price scaling in Sch Agt. The steps I have followed.
1. Created Sch Agt for Mat-vendor. Entered Target quantity say 1000
2. Entered Net Price- ex-10USD. selected line and went to Item-> conditions. displayed PB00.
3. double clicked for scaling. entered
From 1 10 USD , From 5000 9USD, From 10000 8 USD
4. I have maintained the schedule-ME38 for qty say 8000.
5. I do GR using MIGO for the 8000 qty.
6. When I display accounting doc in MIGO I see the amount as 80000. However, it should be 8000*9=72000.
I understand that " The system only look at the target quantity to determine if the ordered quantity is in excess of this level for scaled price determination".
But in this case the qty is more than the target qty and should pickup the 9USD.
Please help.

Our application contains customised retail webcenter portal on which retail application is hosted.This portal application is not able to scale up more than 10 users.I had created portal application without the customised framework and then for a similar usecase it is able to scale upto more than 50 users but once it hits 100 VU mark it starts giving errors.If it were an issue with client tokens or login,I would have been able to have more than 1 user at a time.It seems to be an issue with custom framework developed on top of webcenter portal.I have faced a similar issue while testing for this app with jmeter also.I was able to test for the webcenter portal app without any customisation for more than 100 concurrent users. But I was not able to test for more than 1 user for customised retail webcenter portal

Using more than one computer...

I've been trying to wrap my head around syncing using more than one computer and want to see if I have it right.
Obviously the easiest arrangement is to have one computer and one iphone (and if you want, one mobileme acct) and keep them in sync in all departments.
Most people have more complicated lives.
When there is more than one computer involved the basic idea is that all media and apps can only come from one computer. That is the computer/itunes program associated with the iphone.
When it comes to a second computer, one can still sync contacts, calendars, (notes? bookmarks?) but no media/apps.
That is to say, you can't download a podcast or song on the second computer and get it onto your iphone without erasing your iphone media library.
Is that the basic idea? A distinction between media/software and data?
One grey area: Can voice memos be moved from an iphone onto a second computer without losing media?

If you sync to a computer without media, it will wipe all media off the phone. It's easier to stick to one computer. If you want to sync other things, calendars etc it's better to do it via WiFi or Data.

Trigger firing more than once

Can any one help me i am having the problem with trigger . The trigger fires more than once. I want the trigger to be fired for every COMMIT and not for each row.
