Monitoring Probes - glf error (Java error)

Hi,
We have recently enabled the execution of the monitoring probes provided by the CMC platform. They seems to run fine but after checking in the server log folder we are noticing that several error logs file (*.glf)  (that didn't appear before) containing error messages related with probes has began to appear (see a sample) below:
jobserver_BIENT1.AdaptiveJobServer_MON.ProbeJavaSchedulingService_CHILD1_trace.000001.glf

Any idea about what can be causing this issue? Has someone noticed this behaviour when using monitoring probes?

Hi Alfons,
If the probes are working fine but you are worried about the errors in the logs, you can safely ignore it.
I have seen these errors in a perfectly fine system.

    Hello Manisha,
The one of the possible reasons for this is due to lack of H/W.
Increase your RAM size to atleast 2GB and utilise the same while you are installing ECC in database parameters step..
If the issue is with H/W, then this should fix the issue.
    Hope it helps,
    Regards,

  • For IDOC monitoring, analysis and error handling in  ALE & idoc

Hello...experts..can u please tell me about idoc monitoring, analysis and error handling..and can u please tell as per interview  point of view in this area..if availble can u send material about this...

    Hi,
    Reprocessing IDocs with errors
    Outbound (BD88)
Once the error has been determined and corrected it is not necessary to resend the IDoc again. You simply resend the IDocs that have already been generated.
Using the IDoc overview screen you need to take note of the following for each IDoc that was not processed:
    Error number: 2, 4, 5, 25, 29
Error number: 30 (Execute Check IDoc dispatch to process)
    IDoc number
Using the Error number, the IDoc number and the transaction BD88 , with the required message type you can resend the IDoc. Match the error number with this transaction and execute the function for the IDocs incorrectly processed.

  • How to monitor the alerts(error handling) in seerburger adapter?

    hi,
is it like normal moniotoring for any scenario..i have to do the monitoring in seeburger adapter.
any other specific thing i have to take care to do monitoring the alerts (error handling) in seeburger adapter for AS2 and FTP adapters..
plz give other ways to monitor interfaces for seeburger adapter.
    Regards
    Raja

    Hi Raja,
All Seeburger adapters have option of some kind of acknowledgement to be sent to the sender or any  partner... u need to check the respective adapter documention....
for eg: FTP adapter can be configured for Message protocol - FTP-REPORTS
for sending various types of reports to any Business Partner,,,reports like dispatch report, transmission reports,,....etc
and for monitoring errors in XI... u can configure alerts as u normally do.....

  • Probe causes error

    Hi,
I have a while loop that reads data from hardware and sends it (via queue) to a processing loop. In parallel, but much slower, the processing loop averages and displays the data. Because I had some problems, I probed the error wire in the read loop. When adding a probe, I have read errors caused by data overflow, i.e. the read loop is not emptying the hardware buffers fast enough. How much does the probe slow down the read loop? If I can't use probes or highlights (as that slows down the loop even more, obviously) how can I debug this code?
    Thanks,
    Danielle

    Attached the snippet as requested.
All the initialize etc. happens before the loop. In the loop, I read untill there is data in the buffer (inner loop) send the data to the display loop (in the subvi) and read again until done (until the boolean is TRUE). I tried to probe the error in the inner loop.
To begin with, we had some hardware problems. In order to debug and correct, I used probes. However, today I noticed that when I use the probe, I get an error relatively quickly. Sometimes the code runs well for a long time with the probe and casues no errors at all.
    Now I'm mainly confused
    Thanks,
    Danielle

  • Business Objects Monitoring Probes

    Hallo All,
I have been reading "The BusinessObjects Enterprise XI Release 2 Monitoring Guide"  in which it mentions the monitoring probes for windows and unix operating systems. These are a set of war files and command line utilities for checking the health of a BO XI R2 Enterprise system as described in the guide. The unix version of this is contained in a file `monitoring.tar.gz` does anyone know where I can find this file  ??

is this what you are talking about... find the link below

  • J2EE adapter monitoring problem/no error description found

    Hi!!!
I have a problem with J2EE adapter monitoring.
When I use SOAP adapter (receiver, asynchronous mode)
and there is an error in Web Service (for example,
the structure of the message is incorrect) then in Workbench
(in an adapter monitoring) I can only find information that
there is "application error" and nothing more
(I searched also logs and I didn't find anything).
But when there is an error in Web Service then
there are details about this error in ACK message,
for example that required tag is omitted
(I can see this information in the TCPMonitor when
I configure it between SOAP adapter and Web Service).
In "old days" when I use plain Adapter Engine
I could find all information about errors
    in Integration Engine Monitoring (sxmb_moni):
    - error message (like "application error") was in the "error" node,
    - and details about this error (like "java.io.FileNotFound" (...), for example)
    were in the "trace" node.
I suppose there is something wrong with my eyes now that I can't see these details,
so please tell when can I find that.
    We have SP12.

    Andrzej

  • Component monitoring 403 fornidden error

    Hi ,
In the runtime workbench when i try to send a test message from component monitoring with my user account i get a 403 forbidden error . But when i use other user credentials it goes through and other users doesn't have this problem. So i suspect that its some issue with my privileges or something, How can i debug this issue.
    Thank you

    Hi Sudheer
error code 403 stands for  Forbidden
This code indicates that the resource cannot be accessed, regardless of any authentication credentials. For example, this happens if a directory or file is unreadable due to file permissions.
for more details on error code follow the link
    http://www.web-cache.com/Writings/http-status-codes.html
Check whether you have given the right credentials. If you are very sure that you have given right credentials then your problem will be solved by restarting J2EE engine
    steps to restart J2EE engine
    1) run transaction SMICM
    2) then in the tab administration => J2EE instance(local) =>send soft shutdown with restart
by this java engine will restart and will be up in 5-10 minutes and your problem will be solved

  • Query regarding handling and monitoring of OSB Errors in a specific manner

    Hi,
    I'm using
    - OSB 10gR3 (10.3.1)
    Context
To give some context, the setup I currently have a proprietory frontend client that is making XML/HTTP requests to OSB
which in turn is getting info from downstream systems.
I have no control over the behaviour/logic of the frontend client .. apart from knowing that it has a specific
    request/response format.
    So now to the issue..
The issue I'm facing is regarding handling of errors. Based on my knowledge of OSB, the error handling of the transaction has been
    built along these lines
(Within the stage) If an error scenario's occurred, error is being thrown
(Within the error handler stage) Logging the error (using the 'Log' function .. with severity 'Error')
(Within the error handler stage) The response payload is being built .. so that the error can be reported to the frontend client
(Within the error handler stage) I'm doing a 'Reply with Success'
Now this does give me the expected behavior from the frontend client's perspective (... i.e. it receives the payload and displays whatever error that's occurred)
However from OSB's perspective, because I have done a 'Reply with success', the OSB Service Health Page ... (screenshot below) does not
increment the 'Errors' count for the respective proxy service ....
[OSB Service Health Page|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/operations/monitoring.html#wp1107685] (Looking at Figure 3-8)
The only way I could achieve this was to set the error handler stage to 'Reply with Failure' (which would return HTTP 500) ...
The issue however is that, the proprietory frontend simply sees the incoming HTTP 500 code and doesn't read the return XML payload (containing the error details ..)
which beats the whole idea of being able to maintain some sort of traceability for the failed transactions.
So what I'm basically trying to find is .. that when an error occurs
    - Some 'call' to make the during the error handler stage so that it registers as an error in the OSB Service Health Page.. and I can clearly
see the error count, etc for each of the proxy services
    - After that being able to still use 'Reply with Success' ... so that the payload is being returned with HTTP 500 code...
so the frontend can read the payload ...
............. in essence, the idea being to register errors so that they can be monitored via the Service Health Dashboard ..but at the same time
being able to return the 'error details' payload successfully
With my limited (but growing) knowledge of OSB .. I've tried quite a few ways to achieve this with no success...
Would very much appreciate any help here ...
Lastly, if there is some way of achieving what I'm trying to get to above through different means, I'm open
    to trying out alternate stuff.
    Regards,
    Himanshu

    Hi Atheek,
Many thanks for the reply. Does appear to be a pretty neat way of doing it ..
One more clarification I'd like on this however ....
Given that I have a set up like this below
[External frontend client] <------> (1 Parent Service) <------> (2 Child Service)
(1 Parent Service) .... has error handler .. and all it does is 'Reply with success'
(2 Child Service) .... has error handler for particular stage
    so...
2 Child Service - is doing the actual work (has error handler where custom error msg is being populated in $body)
1 Parent Service - is the one that is getting called by the external client (has error handler .. and all it does is 'Reply with success')
What I currently have is ..once the error occurs, I'm populating $body ... with the custom error message within the error handler
Previously I had 'Reply with Success' in the 2 Child Service's error handler and the custom error message would get returned to the external client.
Now, with the error handler only creating the custom error msg.... and 1 Parent service doing the 'Reply with Success' .. it doesn't appear
to return the $body .. with the custom msg that I'd populated .. in 2 Child Service's error handler.
Are the $body contents populated in 2 Child Service's error handler lost ...once the error propagates up to 1 Parent service's error handler ?
If yes... is there way of getting around it ? I could see for instance that the $fault message context has a 'user populated' Details variable
but the documentation covering this is sparse.
    Regards,

  • Component monitoring - adapter engine error, but no channel in error actual

    Hi,
We have a problem in displaying a status of Adapter Engine in RWB. In component monitoring there's a red light and the status - "Are communication channels without errors?" says there's an communication channel in error. But when I click the Communication channel monitoring, everything's green there. Yes, there was an error before, but it's ok now. Why is the AE item in Component monitoring still red? How to make it to reflect the current status?
    Thank you,
    Olian

    Hi Olian,
i am saying to use the cache connectivity test button option from RWB -> compnent monitoring , so have you done cache test using this? if yes, click on refresh display to see the latest adapter engine status..............if it is green, then it is okay..............but if it is red here, it means some comm channel is erroring sometimes - i guess it can be a file adapter using ftp or some rfc adapter......................
if it is green here and compnent monitoring - adapter engine status is red because some comm channel errored in past.........then i think some cache is not getting refreshed - i do not know exactly how to rectify it...........but i can tell you some workaround for it..............the comm channel which was erroring just stop it from comm channel monitoring........then close RWB and again open it and see compnent monitoring - adapter engine status again in it - i think it should be green now.......or  try by changing any comm channel description data in ID and save and activate it.........then again check your compnent monitoring - adapter engine status..................but dont worry i think this is a temporary problem

  • Monitor communication channel error

    Hi Experts,
I am doing a proxy to file scenario.
In my scenario I have requirement that if there is a failure in placing the file in the target location then an alert has to be triggered.
For testing this I have given dummy host in receiver file adapter (FTP) and activated it.
When I triggered the interface, it still shows as successfully processed message in PI message monitoring, though the file is not placed in target location. I would expect that this should be shown as error. The error is shown only in the communication channel monitoring. So even the alert that I have configured do not work. Could you please provide some inputs on how to tackle this situation?
    Thanks and regards,
    Prasad

    Hi Prasad,
Gneral flow will be like this
Sender AdapterEngine --> Integration Engine -->Receiver Adapter Engine
As your message failed at third step i.e at receiver adapter engine ...it will not shown an error in integration engine(SXMB_MONI) as the message is successfully passed to adapter engine from integraiton engine...
By default if message fails at adapter engine it will retires 3 times after period of 5 minutes...automatically
And finally if all retries fails then message status will be set to failed and an alert will be triggered when the manual intervention is required to analyse the problem..
If you feels that the error is resolved and needs to resend the message again which can be done from MessagingSystem of the adapter*http://host:port/MessagingSystem/)
    Hope this clears you
    Rajesh
