More af tables, same viewobject, different whereclause

Hi.
JDeveloper 11.1.1.2, bc4j, jsff
Is it possible to have to pages (jsff) based on the same viewobject ie. persons where page1 shows men (where sex=male) and page2 shows women (where sex=female)?
How?
Best regards
Erik

1) Define 2 ViewCriterias in your VO definition - one for the condition <tt><column> = 'Male'</tt> and another for <tt><column> = 'Female'</tt>;
2) Add two VO instances in the data model of the ApplicationModule which are based on the same VO definition;
3) In the AM data model dialog box select the 1st VO instance, click the "Edit ..." button and apply the 1st VO criteria;
4) In the AM data model dialog box select the 2nd VO instance, click the "Edit ..." button and apply the 2nd VO criteria.
In this way you will have an AM with two VO instances that will be based on one and same VO definition but with different criterias applied. You will have it in a pure declarative manner.

  • JClient: Different tables with same ViewObject

I am using two tables the user can see at the same time as different JInternalFrames which show the data of the same ViewObject. I have two questions concerning this:
    1. When I have opened the first table and have done a executeQuery() for the ViewObject I would think that I don't need another executeQuery() to show the data in the second table. But without another execcuteQuery() the second table is empty. Any chance to avoid the second executeQuery()?
    2. The second table is smaller than the first, so less rows are displayed. So when I open the second table, in my first table also only these few rows are displayed and the remaining rows are blank. I tried setRangeSize() but it doesn't work. Any idea?
    Thanks a lot in advance,
    Matthias

I'd expect the results to be somewhat better than the results you seem to be getting.
Are you sure that the JInternalFrames are sharing the same panelBinding instance and not each creating their own?
    HTH
    Mike.

    Hi Nancy,
This screenshot was only for imagination. A part of the code (not all) is below.  In the code there are some background images but they are not seem in live mode.

I've just discovered that different typefaces seem to have different auto-leading in Pages. I am used to default leading being 120% of point size (or some consistent rule), but it seems this is not so any more. The same text in 10pt Times New Roman, which I would expect to line up with 10pt Palatino, for example, doesn't. I've tried using the inspector, at least to get both faces to behave the same for given settings, but I haven't been able to. How much control does Pages allow for this type of settings, and are there any hidden secrets as to how to do so? Many thanks

If you set the line spacing in the inspector to Exactly and 12 points for 10 point type, it will work the way you want.

  • Dynamic domain uses the same ViewObject for different parameters.

    Hi all.
    My version:
    JDeveloper 10.1.3.2
    JHeadstart 10.1.3.1
When I in the same group different fields use DynamicDomain,as below:
DynamicDomain with ViewObject(ex:CodeView and parameters set :1),Query Bind Parameters set "a001".
Then create another DynamicDomain with the same ViewObject, but Query Bind Parameters set "a002".
Result, all value of the field is Parameters set 'a002'.
    can give me any help?
    Thanks.
    Joy

    Joy,
The queried data collection is held at the level of the View Object usage. So, while you can reuse the same ViewObject, you need to create two separate View Object usages in the application module, one for each domain.

  • Table  V_T500P- define different country grouping to the same company code

    Hello Gurus,
When I try to update table  V_T500P with different country grouping to two personnel areas that have same company code I get the following message:
"The country grpg of company code xxx has been changed. This company code is used in other pers. areas. The country grouping will also be changed. Make changes?"
How can I define two different countries to the same company code in this table?
    For example-
Personnel Area DE09 (Germany), Company Code 0234 (KPG EAMER)- country grouping 01
Personnel Area DK05 (Denmark), Company Code 0234 (KPG EAMER)- country grouping 09
when I try to change the country grouping of one of the countries it changes them both with the massage I wrote above.
    Thanks for your help,
    Ronit.

    Thanks for your answer!
Actually, I know that there is a way because the initial definition in my system was: different country groupings to different company code (can I attach here a screen shot?)
But when I try to change one of the country grouping it chnages all the countries from the same company code.
    Example:
    In the begining it was:
Pers. Area SE01 Company code 0234, country grouping 06
Pers. Area IL03 Company code 0234, country grouping IL
Pers. Area DE03 Company code 0234, country grouping 01
Now if I'm trying to chage the country grouping of Pers. Area IL03 from IL to 05 (for example), it changes everything. I know there is a way to change it without changing them all. I just don't know what is the way...
I will appriciate if someone can help!
    Thanks,
    Ronit.

  • Moving Subpartitions to a duplicate table in a different schema.

+NOTE: I asked this question on the PL/SQL and SQL forum, but have moved it here as I think it's more appropriate to this forum. I've placed a pointer to this post on the original post.+
    Hello Ladies and Gentlemen.
We're currently involved in an exercise at my workplace where we are in the process of attempting to logically organise our data by global region. For information, our production database is currently at version 10.2.0.3 and will shortly be upgraded to 10.2.0.5.
At the moment, all our data 'lives' in the same schema. We are in the process of producing a proof of concept to migrate this data to identically structured (and named) tables in separate database schemas; each schema to represent a global region.
In our current schema, our data is range-partitioned on date, and then list-partitioned on a column named OFFICE. I want to move the OFFICE subpartitions from one schema into an identically named and structured table in a new schema. The tablespace will remain the same for both identically-named tables across both schemas.
Do any of you have an opinion on the best way to do this? Ideally in the new schema, I'd like to create each new table as an empty table with the appropriate range and list partitions defined. I have been doing some testing in our development environment with the EXCHANGE PARTITION statement, but this requires the destination table to be non-partitioned.
I just wondered if, for partition migration across schemas with the table name and tablespace remaining constant, there is an official "best practice" method of accomplishing such a subpartition move neatly, quickly and elegantly?
    Any helpful replies welcome.
    Cheers.
    James

You CAN exchange a subpartition into another table using a "temporary" (staging) table as an intermediary.

SQL>I have exchanged subpartition p_2_s_1 out of the table part_subpart into the table NEW_part_subpart -- even with a different name for the subpartition (n_p_2_s_1) if so desired.
NOTE : Since your source and target tables are in different schemas, you will have to move (or copy) the staging table STG_part_subpart from the first schema to the second schema after the first "exchange subpartition" is done. You will have to do this for every subpartition to be exchanged.

  • How can i import tables from a different schema into the existing relational model... to add these tables in the existing model? plss help

how can i import tables from a different schema into the existing relational model... to add these tables in the existing relational/logical model? plss help
note; I already have the relational/logical model ready from one schema... and I need to add few more tables to this relational/logical model
can I import the same way as I did previously??
but even if I do the same how can I add it in the model?? as the logical model has already been engineered..
    please help ...
    thanks

    Hi,
Before you start, you should probably take a backup copy of your design (the .dmd file and associated folder), in case the update does not work out as you had hoped.
You need to use Import > Data Dictionary again, to start the Data Dictionary Import Wizard.
In step 1 use a suitable database connection that can access the relevant table definitions.
In step 2 select the schema (or schemas) to import.  The "Import to" field in the lower left part of the main panel allows you to select which existing Relational Model to import into (or to specify that a new Relational Model is to be created).
In step 3 select the tables to import.  (Note that if there are an Foreign Key constraints between the new tables and any tables you had previously imported, you should also include the previous tables, otherwise the Foreign Key constraints will not be imported.)
After the import itself has completed, the "Compare Models" dialog is displayed.  This shows the differences between the model being imported and the previous state of the model, and allows you to select which changes are to be applied.
Just selecting the Merge button should apply all the additions and changes in the new import.
Having updated your Relational Model, you can then update your Logical Model.  To do this you repeat the "Engineer to Logical Model".  This displays the "Engineer to Logical Model" dialog, which shows the changes which will be applied to the Logical Model, and allows you to select which changes are to be applied.
Just selecting the Engineer button should apply all the additions and changes.
I hope this helps you achieve what you want.

  • JTable Blank Rows When INSERT/DELETE in other panel with same ViewObject

    Hi,
    Jdev 10.1.2
    JClient
2 panels based on same ViewObject in same AM
One panel with Grid UI => JTable
    Other panel with Form UI
When I insert or delete a record in the panel with Form UI and return to the panel with JTable blank rows are displayed.
The problem remains even after commiting before returning to JTable panel.
When I activate the execute button in the JTable panel, the display is OK but the currency is lost.
I suppose calling the refresh method when returning to the JTable panel should solve the problem.
Can you please suggest me a server-side/model workaround:
refresh (which option to use ??)
    Thanks
    Frederic
PS I tried the workaround of thread 10.1.2 JClient binding Error. but that doesn't help.

Same problem with default wizard generated Master-Detail Form.
When in the detail more then 10 rows exist, the scrollbar shows that not all rows are displayed.
If I use the scrollbar to view the last rows they are blank, in order to display them I must activate the next button one time for each additional row.
The workaround is to enter -1 in the range size of the iterator.
But what if the range size is 10.
Is the blank rows display a bug?
    OR
Must the scrolling area (size of JScrollPane) be defined according to the range size of the iterator?
    If the latter is true:
Can somebody give me some clues on which attributes of the JScrollPane must be set (PreferredSize, MinimumSize ??) and on how to calculate this area: total width & total height if the row height for the table is set to 20?
    Your help will be appreciated

  • Joining two tables in two different schema

    Hi All,
I have a requirement to join two tables in two different schema. How to join these two tables in view object.
    Many thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Kaushik Gopalakrishnan

    1) If these tables are in one and same database instance, then you can join them by specifying the fully-qualified table names (inlcuding the schema name), for example:
    SELECT ...
    FROM schema_A.table1 T1, schema_B.table2 T2
    WHERE T2.parent_code = T1.code
AND ...2) If the tables are in different database instances, then you can create a database link in one of the databases and access the table from the other database via the DB link, for example:
    SELECT ...
    FROM schema_A.table1 T1, schema_B.table2@mydblink T2
    WHERE T2.parent_code = T1.code
AND ...3) If the tables are in different database instances and there is no option for DB links, then you cannot join the tables in an ADF ViewObject.

  • One Key FIgure in more than one column with different restrictions

    Hi,
I am using a key figure in more than one column with different restrictions, but restriction in one column is affecting the result in other column. What shall i do to make it independent from one another??

    Hi Pravender Chauhan,
If you want in Single column different value for different Rows based on same Key Figure, you can create Structure where you can define different logic for each row but using same key figure.
If you want to use different Key figures then you should have to Restricted Key Figure and for any calculation you can use calculated Key figure.
    Assign points if Useful.

  • Query to compare 2 different tables from 2 different database

Is it possible to write a SQL query to compare 2 Tables from 2 different Oracle Database. Also I need a query to do the same when the database is same.
    Thanks in advance

OK, well "compare" can mean one of two things: Compare structure or compare contents. Here is a quick script to compare column structures of two tables on one database:
    (select COLUMN_NAME,
    DATA_TYPE,
    DATA_LENGTH,
    DATA_PRECISION,
    DATA_SCALE,
    NULLABLE
    from dba_Tab_columns
    where owner=:OWNR1
    and table_name = :tablename
    minus
    select COLUMN_NAME,
    DATA_TYPE,
    DATA_LENGTH,
    DATA_PRECISION,
    DATA_SCALE,
    NULLABLE
    from dba_Tab_columns
    where owner=:ownr2
    and table_name = :tablename)
    union all
    (select COLUMN_NAME,
    DATA_TYPE,
    DATA_LENGTH,
    DATA_PRECISION,
    DATA_SCALE,
    NULLABLE
    from dba_Tab_columns
    where owner=:ownr2
    and table_name = :tablename
    minus
    select COLUMN_NAME,
    DATA_TYPE,
    DATA_LENGTH,
    DATA_PRECISION,
    DATA_SCALE,
    NULLABLE
    from dba_Tab_columns
    where owner=:ownr1
    and table_name = :tablename)
If this query returns any rows, then these indicate that there are structural differences between the tables. We do a minus in both directions to ensure that an additional column in either schema will be returned in the query.
If you are going across dblinks to remote tables then you have to amend the "dba_tab_columns" to "sys.dba_tab_columns@yourdblink"
If you also want to compare indexes, triggers, etc then do the same sort of thing for the associated dba_ views for those objects.
And if you want to compare table contents, then often the fastest way is also to check minuses in both directions, if the tables are not too big:
    e.g.
    (select * from schema1.table@dblink1
    minus
    select * from schema2.table@dblink2)
    union all
    (select * from schema2.table@dblink2
    minus
    select * from schema1.table@dblink1)
local tables, of course, simply omit the "@dblink" issues.
There are tools to help in such things. TOAD, for example, has a pretty good schema comparison tool, and there are plenty of other options out there. But if you need to script this yourself then the logic I've shown is a good starting point.
    Cheers,
    Mike

  • Extracting information from a table based on different criteria

    Post Author: shineysideup
    CA Forum: Formula
    Hi Folks
I have a bit of a strange one here.
I need to extract information from a single table based on different critera.
Sounds simple enough but here's the tricky part.
This table is a table that contains the build of a product. All the parts that are used to make the product and also the sub-parts that are used to make the primary product parts.
    Example:
I have a part that is in the product and the part no is 1111. This part is actually part of another part that is part no 1112
What I need to do is display part no 1111 with all of its details but then also show that it is also part of part no 1112.
The way the table holds this information is as follows.
    Seq_No      Parent_Seq_No     Part_No
The seq_no is item no that is given to the part number. If the part is a member of another part then there is also a parent_seq_no.
Everything needs to tie back to the seq_no and the parent_seq no as the part itself can be used in a parent or it can be used on its own. This way you can actually have the same part appearing in the list several times but the seq_no will be different for each one. If the part can be used in two different sub-builds (with each part being used twice in each sub-build) and also on its own once then you would have 5 different seq_nos two parent_seq_nos.
What I need to do is to list all of the parts but then also when a part is part of a parent_seq_no I need to be able to display the parent seqno but also the part_no for that as the parent would also be listed as an individual item in the part list.
At the moment listing the part_no, seq_no and parent_seq_no is easy but when I try to list the part_no for the parent I jsut keep getting the original sub part again. I can do this with a sub-report but with what I need to do with the data after listing the parts a sub-report is not an option for me.
    This make sense?
    Thanks

As long as the chain only goes one link deep, you should be able to Alias the table and link it (left outer)  from the child part to the parent part.  Then build a Detail B (or Group Footer if that's where you're printing) and conditionally suppress is if there is no "Parent Part".

  • Create a new branch On same OR different Client

    Dear Experts,
Can anyone tell me the advantages and disadvantages of same vs different client, from FI & CO view, as we are having a new foreign branch in another country, should we use the same client or a different client?
    For e.g.:
    Client 100 Company A - present
    Client 100 Company B - new
    OR
    Client 100 Company A - present
    Client 200 Company B - new
    Regrads,

    Hi Mohammed,
It would be better to choose the first option ie, choosing the same client. Please refer the attachment which deals with this topic.
    Same or different client
two different organization on one system
    more than one company code
