More connections in application...

Hi! I need to create more connections in my app. So I have 2 users in DB. I created two connections under Application Resources in my project. How can I say that for first AppModule I want to use one connection, but for second AppModule I want to use another connection?
Best regards, Debuger

Dear, John! Thanks for fast reply. So At Design time in Model project I always need to change connection properties when I need to create new EO. And I need to set each AM conn. to necessary for this AM. Hope I am right so far.
1) What conn. I need to set to Model project when I run my app.?
2) I need to change something on ViewController also?
3) Maybe it is better to create main DB user and under it create two different users with own object each. So then I can use main user in my application? Can I do that way? And what You suggest me in my problem case?
Best regards, Debuger!

  • Cannot allocate any more connections after  10.2.0.3 to 10.2.0.5 upgrade

Recently upgraded Oracle from 10.2.0.3 to 10.2.0.5 and Glassfish from v3.0 to v3.1. We have not experienced errors of this kind previous to that change.
We performed the operation on our test server first and experienced no issues save some 'expect behaviour' changes as listed elsewhere.
Since upgrading on our live server we have a few times come across issues where Glassfish has used up all the connections in it's connection pool. Looking at Oracle statistics for the times where this occured showed no such matching surge in connections on the Oracle side. Usage statistics show no abnormally high number of users or log-ins at the times when this problem occurs, and the usage numbers are an order of magnitude under the maximum supported volumes that we have tested/prepared for.
This problem may be at the Oracle or Glassfish end, but we are running out of ideas so are appealing for help and suggestions from a number of forums in order to get this pinned down.
In the meantime, we are giving our larger web applications their own connection pools incase there is a code-side problem, though the spread of errors suggests this isn't going to be the case.
If there is any extra logging that can be done to pin down the source of the problem, I'd be eager to hear about it.

  • How to use more than one application server during initial load?

    Hi,
we plan to use more than one application server in CRM during initial download in order to increase the number of parallel requests and to decrease the time for the initial load. Is there a way to allocate requests to more than one server? Is is possible via multiple rfc connections for consumer CRM in CRMRFCPAR?
    Thanks.

    Hi Naresh,
thanks for your answer. It has solved my problem. SMLG is the transaction that I was looking for.
Two more OSS notes that helped me to guide our basis into the right direction:

  • Plugin w/IIS and 'No more connections in the pool' msg in logs

I am using the proxy plugin with IIS 5.0. Its fronts 2 weblogic instances that require sticky as there is session information that is not replicated (too large to be replicated).
I am seeing occasions when the request is suddently sent to the wrong server, which of course causes application failure, since the session does not exist there. Whenever this occurs I see the following message in the proxy plugin log (with DEBUG on and set to ALL).
Note: This request occurs less than one second after previous requests from the same client so there should not be timeout related issues.
I would really appreciate if any knows why the 2 logs entries below exist, what they mean, and what could be the cause:
    <p>
    <i>
Wed Aug 31 16:09:02 2005 getPooledConn: No more connections in the pool for Host[sasuprdcce03.cce.hp.com] Port[12302] SecurePort[12302]
    <br>
    Wed Aug 31 16:09:02 2005 Connection refused, error = 10022</i>
    <p>
The server was in fact up and processing requests and was not backlogged, and the proxy did actually immediately reconnect for the same request:
    <p><i>Wed Aug 31 16:09:02 2005 general list: created a new connection to 'sasuprdcce03.cce.hp.com'/12302 for '/impressions_wtp/images/menu_tabs/tab_top_right.gif', Local port: 4427</i>
    <p>
However, when the new connection above occurs the Cookie has changed.
    Thank you,
    Darryl

Perhaps you could help the process along by being a little more specific. Is this an in-house application. Will it ever leave your local network? Or does it need to run over the internet? Regardless, the best option will likely be some type of REST web service that any client can use.

  • "Your Mac OS X Startup Disk Has No More Space For Application Memory"

I've been having a problem in the last few days with my Mac. I would be surfing the net, or doing whatever, and an error message would randomly pop up on my screen. It would say: "_Your Mac OS X Startup Disk Has No More Space For Application Memory_". Then the dialog box would give me the option to PAUSE or *Force Quit* applications. But instead of letting me click these buttons, my Mac would just automatically freeze after the dialog box popped up!
The odd thing is, is that I truly was NOT using that much memory...much less than I usually do. Plus I have 4 GB of RAM, and I know I wasn't maxing it out.
Does anyone know why this error message would be popping up like this (especially since there was no way that I was using all my Application Memory)? And does anyone know why my Mac just freezes instantly when the error message pops up?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! It's quite hard use my Mac right now, since I never know when it's gonna freeze up on me!
    Thanks!

I assume that means no backups? That's a problem you need to fix next.
You might be able to start your Mac in "Target Disk Mode" while connected to the other Mac. You do this by holding down the "T" key while booting. And I was wrong: you must use Firewire, not USB.
The other Mac will see your HD as an external F/W drive. You may have to "mount" it via Disk Utility, if it doesn't show up on the desktop and/or Finder sidebar.
You probably need to do a lot of examining what's not needed, and perhaps some maintenance, but you don't want to do that under pressure.
To get it running and buy just a bit of time, your best bet is to copy some big stuff (like video) either to the other Mac's hard drive or to one or more DVDs, then delete it from your HD.
Once you get several GB free, you should be able to boot it. Then get started cleaning it up. There are many threads in this forum with links and suggestions for how to do this. Just search for +Disk Full.+
Did this happen all of a sudden? If so, it's possible you had some sort of runaway or continually failing process, filling up some logs and/or caches. If you don't do routine maintenance, either by clearing your browser cache, etc., manually, or via an app like OnyX, that's another thing you might want to investigate.

  • Can I download more than one application, with the free trial?

    Jacob Bugge wrote:
It is quite possible, but you may wish to start by downloading the trial the of the first application and start using it before you download the next one, because that will give you more total tryout time than if you download both simultaneously.
I thought the trial period of 30 days starts from the day you use, not from the day you download/install.

With extended desktop, it appears that I can only have one application presenting at a time. Sort of defeats the purpose of having multiple displays.
I am using the HDMI and the mini HDMI connectors.

  • XCode won't load more than one application at a time on my iTouch?

I got the latest SDK, installed the latest firmware, re-generated the provisioning profile. Really, everything works exactly as expected, and xCode installs my application normally, but if I, say, try to install two different sample projects, HelloWorld and TheElements, when I "Build and Go" the second application, it deletes the previous application as part of the installation procedure. That is, TheElements will be installed, and HelloWorld will be deleted.
This only happens on the device, not in the emulator, and happens with any application, not just these two. I just can't install more than one app on the device.
According to iTunes, there is plenty of room on the actual iTouch. Also, in Organizer, rather than a checkbox next to the Application, there is an "arrow". When I click the application, I see "Application Data".
What the ****? Is this normal for iTouch? Are only iPhone developers allowed to develop more than one application at a time?

you must create an application ID
(use program portal - App ID) and in provisioning make a profile with the new App ID, and use the
same profile in your 2 applications
In Xcode for your project , (2*click target) section properties, use different names as Identifier, and you can have
more than one of your applications installed on the phone. I use identifieres as
    dk.mochasoft.abc
    and
    dk.mochasoft.xyz
I think when you release the applications to App Store, you will need different Profiles for the applications. The Apple documentation is a little weak on this subject.

For the past 60 days I've experienced Main Menu freeze when running more than one application at a time.  iPhoto, Preview, Text Edit, Epson Scan, Firefox and Thunderbird are the apps I use almost daily.  No matter what I do, when more than one is running they will freeze the Main Menu (top of the screen).  I've tried booting is Safe Mode and I don't seem to have a problem.  I've tried several suggestions from repairing permission (DiskUtility) to eliminating specifis login items.  Nothing works. I've posted this issue on the Apple forum several times and no one else has experienced this problem.  I hesitate to take my iMac to the Apple Store or a private Apple repair service until I've exhausted all of my options.  Do I have any more options?

Question:  Everytime an app crashes I have the option to report it to Apple - which I usually do.  But I've NEVER reported a Main Menu freeze because it never asks me to
There's really no need to submit to Apple, it's just a round file cabinet on the other end, especially with 10.6 or earlier.
This sure sounds like a resource problem...
See if the Disk is issuing any S.M.A.R.T errors in Disk Utility...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH7029
Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities, select All Processes & sort on CPU%, any indications there?
How much RAM & free space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
In the Memory tab, are there a lot of Pageouts?

    Hi Guys,
I need urgent help regards to our school File server which is having "No more connection to this remote computer error"
on SMB Shares where I usually authenticate with a domain username it used to work fine since till 3 weeks ago.
Now I can browse the SMB shares with only IP... Netbios gets straight away this error message from non-domain joined pc's where the computer needs to connect to the SCCM distribution point on this file server.
Strangely, Domain joined pc's does not have this problem at all they can use Netbios or IP no problem at all. But someone from a standalone laptop or desktop who needs to access shares through netbios gets this message.
    Can someone help me please?
I did check DNS yet there is no problem on DNS I checked PTR record for the server to make sure it is not turned in to multihome accidently but nothing at all.
I also did a NETMON where I captured the data from server and the client I get these errors:

    Solution has been found,
After doing bit of a backtrack, site DC's were out of sync with PDC with time.
Also Time service was shutdown on PDC which has been enabled and pointed to the Australian pool ntp IP address.
Everything is back on track now.

  • WebLogic proxy plugin: getPooledConn: No more connections in the pool

    Hi,
We have weblogic proxy plugin installed in Sun One web server. but frequently we are getting following errors in proxy log:
    <1670612410085901> attempt #0 out of a max of 5
    <1670612410085901> Trying a pooled connection for '<IP>/<port>/<port>'
<1670612410085901> getPooledConn: No more connections in the pool for Host [<IP>] Port[<port>] SecurePort[<port>]
Can anybody please tell how this proxy plugin manages connection pools? I don't find any minimum / maximum number of conection to mention anywhere or how exactly it works?

Try increasing the "AcceptBackLog" settings on the weblogic server and then verify for any changed behavior.
Raise the Accept Backlog value from the default by 25 percent. Continue increasing the value by 25 percent until the messages cease to appear.
