  • Can't download apps to my Motorola Droid Maxx

Motorola Droid Maxx, Android version 4.4.
I've never been able to download apps to this phone. I go to the
Google Play Store and go through the process of downloading apps, and after
clicking Install, I get a message stating "Congratulations
<app_name> will be installed on your device soon." Then I click the
OK button, but the apps NEVER install. In fact, when I go to Settings ->
Apps and view the Downloaded tab, it displays this message: "No apps
downloaded yet." I've tried to download several apps in the 9 months that I've
owned this phone, and this is always what happens.
My Google account is setup on this phone, and I'm receiving gmail via the gmail app on this phone.
I've removed and reinstalled the SIM card, and cycled the power on the phone,
but nothing changes. What am I missing?
    Jeff

try to do it from a pc. go to the play store on a web browser and sign in with your google account. select an app and then choose install. if you're signed in there and your phone is signed in with the same google account, then it should bring up permissions and show you where you select which device to install it too. if it works, you'll at least know that the issue isn't with your google account and you'll have a temporary fix and way to get apps. if it doesn't work or your phone doesn't show up as a device to install to, then i suspect the issue is with your google account. if it works, it will show up on your phone immediately.

  • Droid Maxx not syncing with my FB Contacts - I tried it all

I love this phone. This is my 3rd Droid. BUT for some reason my FB Contacts is not syncing. I even called the Technical support but it didn't help.  I reinstalled the FB Apps few times and reset the whole system. I tried it all but it didn't fix the problem.  The only way I can sync my FB contacts if I download one to these apps like Haxsync, Ubersync or SyncMe. I shouldn't have to download any apps since my last two Motorola Droid it didn't have any issue syncing my FB contacts.

        Hi vmalicsi,
I am sorry to see that you are experiencing issues with some Facebook application features. First troubleshooting step is to delete application and reinstall. If issues continue, please contact application developer (Facebook) as this may be a compatibility issue (not all apps are fully compatible with all phones). Have a great day!

  • Droid incredible not receiving messages

In response to my incredible telling me I had not enough storage space (which I had plenty of space) I factory reseted my droid incredible 1. However, in doing so, I no longer receive text messages. I can send them but I can't receive them. Has anyone encountered this problem and know a solution?

I agree - This is the worst piece of crap update ever.  Verizon needs to seriously look at whats going on here.  My girlfriend and I both have INC's, and hers will no longer receive text messages since the Gingerbread update.   Her dialer storage keeps on growing and growing (it's now at 61.29 meg)  I'm assuming the incoming messages are getting stuck in there somehow, and not being relayed to the message app (we've always used handcent, but I've tried deleting that too and just tried to get the regular message app working, but to no avail.)  The dialer storage app no longer has an option to "clear data" since the update either.  I don't really want to reset her phone, because from what I've read, that doesn't even always work.  I have tried everything I can think of - short of smashing the thing.  It's not rooted, and has always been stock since we bought them.  Luckily for now we had WhatsApp installed, so at least we can message each other.
If anyone has ANY ideas - please advise!

  • Motorola Droid Maxx wont' turn on after update this morning

I received an update notice on my phone a couple of days ago.
I updated it this morning....it started the process. When I checked back later, the phone was off and won't turn back on. Please help!

    Hi there,
Thank you for replying. I followed your step. However, I got only till Step 3. There's no "Droid triage screen". Just a black screen with the following in white letters :
    AP Fastboot flash Mode (S)
    OA.77
    eMMC Info: Size 16G
To return to normal mode - first press power key to power down
Device is LOCKED, Status Code: 0
    Battery OK
    OK to Program
    Connect USB
    Data Cable
That's what I got. Everytime I tried Step 4, the phone turns off and I went back to Step 3 and the above shows up.
My Razr Maxx is old. It has a broken screen, and a very abused frame, but it works great. If there's still a replacement option, I'll be grateful.

  • Droid X2 not receiving all texts/ calls

I, along with my family have been a customer of Verizon for over 13 years now. In the past 4-5 months my Droid X2 has not been receiving all text messages and calls. There is no pattern that I have been able to track. I text people from across the nation so where I send from and/or to does not make a difference. This phone is a refurb because I used my insurance to replace the original to hopefully fi this same exact issue. I've done extensive research on how to fi this problem but have not come up with anything. The restarts, wipe cache, delete certain apps does not work. I do not want to be forced to become a customer of another company but I will do so if the issue can not be alleviated.

I understand how frustrating and inconvenient missing your calls and text messages can be and I'm here to help.
I also have the HTC Thunderbolt and have not had this problem. I've thoroughly researched this and did not find it has been reported as a known issue by other users.
You mentioned you updated your phone two weeks ago. Was it the Gingerbread SW update? If not, click here for instructions on how to update the SW.
If you already have Gingerbread I recommend performing a hard reset.
If you are still experiencing missed calls or text messages after the hard reset, please post back so I can further assist you.

  • Last 2 days I seem to not receive video messages...

I am told friends have sent me video mssgs but i cant see them on my wall. i signed in from my phone and my laptop still no sign of the videos. thanks

Try the following, in order, until (hopefully) resolved:
    1a. Delete Preferred Network(s)
System Preferences > Network > AirPort > Advanced > AirPort tab
Under "Preferred Networks," delete the network(s) you regularly use from the list.
    1b. Delete AirPort Keychain Entries
Launch the "Keychain Access" application located in Applications/Utilties.
Click on the "Kind" filter at the top, and look for any "AirPort network password" entries...and delete them.
    1c. Add Preferred Network(s)
System Preferences > Network > AirPort > Advanced > AirPort tab
Add the preferred network(s) using the "+" button.
Restart or log out then back in.
    2. Move System Configuration Files
(Note: You will have to reestablish your network connections settings.)
    Go to /Library/Preferences
Move the SystemConfiguration folder to the desktop.
Restart your Mac. (Note: OS X will rebuild the files that are now sitting on your desktop. If this doesn't resolve the issue, you can move the folder back to it's original location.)

  • Motorola Droid 4 not sending text messages after firmware update?

Ever since the most recent update I've been having major issues with my texts not going through. I have to completely reboot my device. Any ideas other than doing another factory reset?

        Hi CyJoi83,
I use my text messaging feature all day and I can understand how frustrating it must be to have issues with it. Are you using the native text messaging application? Are you using a different application (i.e. Handcent, Go SMS, etc.)? My son has a Droid 4 and he also had some post update issues but all issues were resolved by doing a http://vz.to/TZvgLF factory reset. I recommend doing a factory reset and then install your third party applications one at a time and test a few hours before the next install as you may also have an application conflict that is causing the issues. Keep us posted.

  • My 4th generation iPod touch with iOS 6.1.6 will not receive videos of photos via iMessage

I have an iPod touch 4th generation with the latest version of iOS available (6.1.6). And recently my iPod has become unable to receive photos and videos on iMessage from other iMessage users, it will receive text messages in iMessage however. I was wondering what has caused this problem only occuring recently.

Have you looked at the previous discussions listed on the right side of this page under the heading "More Like This"?

  • Motorola droid market not working

I just got this 1 week ago and the app store will not open or the google map thing doesnt work. Both say force close when opened. Any ideas why?

    Try this....
    Settings
    Applicaitons
    Manage applications
    Scroll and find market
Select market and press clear cache.  You can possibly even select "force stop"
    Next go to google mapts.
Clear data and cache.  Again you could possibly do the "force stop".

you might be beyond any type of trickery to get your phone back up.  the only option is to get your phone fixed. hopefully you purchased the asurion insurance to allow you to do this.  if not the price might be steep.
    good luck.

  • Droid Eris not receiving text msgs

For the last few weeks I have not been receving text messages from people.  Its frustrating when you have to send the messages multiple times and they ask "Arent you getting my messages?" What can I do??

    Never had that problem before.
I would start the troubleshooting by dialing *228 option 1 to reprogram your phone. No data will be lost, but it will reset how your phone connects to the cell network.

This Topic has been Moved for correct placement

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
That sounds really strange. I would suggest that you first of all try to boot your phone into safe mode to see if the problem may be related to any 3rd party app that you have installed in your phone:
