Mouse move and waking up

This option for wake up seems nice, but in real it is the problem. I need to disable handling mouse movement when system is suspend - but how can I do?
Thank you!

You can try xinput, and hook it to systemd's sleep.target or use xss-lock. If that doesn't work try modprobe or BIOS as suggested (find modules with lsmod).
I'll leave you to investigate the details.
edit: above methods disable the mouse completely; I doubt you can have it both ways.

When I select a clip of video and move to a different place in my time line, Premiere Elements 13, will not release the clip from the mouse.
The clip follows my mouse movements and goes to other places in my time line.
I try to delete these extra insertions, but the mouse will not release the clip.
Action I’ve taken: I’ve re-installed Premiere Elements 13. Problem remains.
This issue has consumed too much of my time and does not go away.  It ruins my video.
    Help please.
    Thanks

I tried using the Guest Account on my Mac. In the Guest Account, Illustrator works perfect!
Then I started wondering what processes (tools/tweaks) I run by default on my account. Turned out the problem was called by a little background tool called RightZoom. RightZoom let's the green 'zoom' button always maximize your current window.
    So thanks! Problem solved!

  • Capture border, mouse movements and screen area showing incorrectly

I'm using Captivate4 on Win7 Pro 32bit to record a web demonstration on IE8. Setting the capture area only records a portion of the selected area, and portions outside (and including) the red boundary line. Mouse movements and clicks are also off. I've disabled hardware acceleration and tried a few different screen resolutions.
This occurs in every recording mode and in every capture arrangement - application, predefined, or custom size. Full screen recording captures the correct area, but the slides are very large and cursor actions are still off. The border disappears when Hide is checked, but the area captured is still completely different from the area selected.
I've included screenshots of both the capture area selected and the actual area recorded.
If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it - thanks in advance!
    Area selected for recording:
Area captured during recording - cursor out of place, overlap on the left, missing area on right and bottom:

Change your computer screen resolution to match what you set in Captivate, and you will capture everything.
I had to change mine from 1920x1080 (on a 13" laptop) to 1280x720 which is the maximum in Captivate. As soon as I did that, the entire screen was captured as intended.

Thanks for both of these answers. I am finding that I do not
like the totally manual method all that much (but it does work).
Using the PrintScreen-before-and-after-each-action method seems a
little better for me. Either method requires way too much editing
for a simple "let me show you" movie. I have moved on to version 3
since it seems to behave a little better.
I think it is odd how sometimes Captivate puts an action
(like a mouse click) on a background from *two* slides previous.
Why would it ever go backward - especially skipping over the
previous slide to get an even older screen. If I have forced a
screen capture, you would think it would stay with that.
I realize that I am not using Captivate where its strengths
seem to be (eLearning) but there must be a lot of people capturing
demos of web-based material. Does everyone have this
    problem?

  • Mouse Down and Mouse Move  and scroll ?

    Hi,
Here is what I want to do:
Whenever a user presses the mouse down and the moves the mouse, I want to synchronize the scrollbar thumb and the mouse. How is it possible?
    thanks.

    hi,
there are 2 ways to do this depending on what you need from the mouse move
    1. To get the difference from when the mouse is pressed
on the mousedown event your store the mouse coordinates -
myX=   stageX   or LocalX    myY=  stageY  or LocalY
on the mousemove event you subtract the current co-ordinates from the saved cordinates
    myXDif = myX-currentX
    myYDif = myY-currentY
the difference will be negative or positive you can use that figure to calculate the percentage of range and then set the scrollposition
    2. Just track the mouse
on the mouse move calculate the percentage position of the mouse to set the scrollbars
HorizontalScrollPostion= the Max horizontal value * (LocalX /Width)
    VerticalScrollPosition= the max vertical value * (LocalY/Height)

  • Need example vi for simulating mouse movements and clicks

I need an example vi that allows me to set the cursor position and simulate mouse left and right clicks, including double clicks. The examples in the development library work up to LabVIEW version 6, but not for version 7, because no block diagrams were included. Thanks.

    Hello
Take a look at this example program at NI Developer Zone. It will allow you set the position of the mouse cursor.
    Hope this helps!

The mouse cursor wanders around the screen, folders open and close by themselves, dashboard opens and closes, etc. Either a bit of malware or a hardware problem?

  • Automator Help With Mouse Movement and Click

Hi all, thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
I'm trying to use Automator to go into my Volume Purchasing Program purchase history (in Chrome) and download each redemption code spreadsheet. I will need the automator script to scroll to the bottom of the page and click 'More Purchases', wait for the page to load, and repeat that many many times. (I have a lot of purchases on my account.) Then I would like to write a second script that I will run after all of the purchases are shown that will click 'Download Codes' for each line. I've done this by hand for over 2 hours now and still have a long ways to go. Figured Automator could help me out.
Any tips on how to accomplish this? I've tried recording my actions but when I play it back, it won't even switch to Chrome.

I have not found automator to be very good at doing this kind of thing.
It is theoretically possible to have applescripts imbedded in Automator that will choose from a dropdown menu, but I have also not found that to be too reliable.
I have had much better luck with Startly - QuicKeys 4 for Mac OS X

  • How to record mouse movements?

    Hello,
I have the most updated version of Mac OS on my 2014 Macbook Air. Is there a program I can use to record my mouse strokes and clicks? I am doing a repetitive task and would like for the mouse to move on its own and make the same exact movements and clicks. Is this possible on automator and if so how? And if not, what free program is available which can achieve this?
    Thanks for the input!

When Automator is started, it normally asks for the kind of document that you want to create. Select "work flow". Then near to the upper right corner of the automator window there will be a red button labeled "record". from that point on all the mouse movements and clicks will be stored in the workflow until you click on the stop recording button that shows on a special floating window that automator displays while your mouse actions are recorded.

  • Event Precedence - Mouse Move or Cursor Move on Graph?

Since LabVIEW 8+ introduced cursor events (grab, move, release), is there a conflict that would occur between a mouse move event and cursor move event since a cursor move involves a mouse move?  Or, since the cursor move requires the left mouse button to be down, does that allow LabVIEW to differentiate which event is occurring?  I have some code I am writing to draw a box on an intensity graph (using the new plot.images property for graphs) so as to extract a region of interest.  At first, I want a cursor to follow the mouse as it moves over the graph.  Then, I want to draw the box region when I grab the cursor (with left mouse key down) and drag it.  Differentiation of these two event types will allow me to unambiguously accomplish this task.
    Thanks,
    Don

Moving a cursor will interleave mouse move and cursor move events.
However, you can easily keep state of mouse up/down to distinguish what to do in this particular case. See attached draft (8.20).

I tried (unsuccessfully) to find a mouse move and click solution in Applescript.

  • Bluetooth Mouse movement on Mac Mini Core Duo

Bluetooth mouse movement and tracking is a bit strange. The pointer overshoots the target and 'hugs' the edge of the screen. It's not a problem with one particular mouse - two different manufacturers behave in exactly the same way. Both mice work fine on my PPC machines. Any ideas or solutions?

I use a Logitech MX900 Bluetooth mouse with my PowerBook and for the most part it works fine. There are times when it just loses the plot and behaves like yours. I don't think it is a case of insufficient bandwith as Michael suspects but more a problem with intereference. I do notice that when there is a high use of my Airport connection the erratic behaviour is more prevalent.
If you use both Airprt ans Bluetooth concurrently you might want to switch off Airport off to see if your mouse goes any better.
Either way though you will find that a wireless USB mouse to perform better under most, if not all, situations.

  • Trackpad-mouse moves-doesn't select

    Hey all,
My friend's trackpad has an issue. She was working, closed her laptop, came back an hour later only to find that she couldn't select anything. The mouse moves and there is still a clicking noise when pushing down on the trackpad. I enabled the tap selection option so she could still work on it but the actual selection by clicking on trackpad is a no go.
She has the 10.5.8 Processor: 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro -- if models have different trackpad versions...
I understand this most likely will need to be replaced, however, I'm looking for an explanation to why it would just stop like that and if there is a manual solution that won't cost much money (besides buying a mouse)... if this has happened to you, how much did you pay to have it fixed?
Polite suggestions and information is needed! Thank you!

This sounds like it could be a software issue. Does she have her information backed up? If so I would try to re install the operating system. If it still doesn't work after that then I would recommend calling Apple.

  • Frozen PB After 3 Restars - Mouse Moves Everything Else Fozen- HELP!

    Hello Everyone,
My Powerbook in non-responsive, even after 3 restarts.
I was working in a word doc, when everything just froze. Word, finder, I couldn't click on any folder or buttons. This has never ever happened before in the last 4 years i've had macs.
I restarted the PB by holding the power button as nothing else would work.
It restarted and automatically logged into the account. The mouse moves and that's it. Everything else is frozen.
I can't click on anything to open it, when i got down to (any application) the name appears, but when I click it nothing happens. I've restarted the Powerbook three time, and its still the same.
I'm starting to panic, as I have two major assingments on it, which are due in on Monday and i don't have backups (just started them yesterday).
    Thanks for any information.
    PS.
I'm using my neighbours WinXP computer to send this. I'll go back home and check what the PB is doing. I should have brought it with me.

First thing to try is to restart from the original installer disc and use the "Repair Disk" function in Disk Utility to check for any problems. Another thing to try is the Apple Hardware Test. If you have a copy of DiskWarrior then this will be a good time to run it.
As you do not have a backup of your data, there is a chance that you might lose everything if it turns out that the problem is a failing (or failed) hard drive. Therefore you might want to consider using FireWire Target Disk Mode to see if your PowerBook's hard drive can be accessed from another FW-equipped Mac. If it can be accessed, then use the opportunity to backup your data immediately.

  • Mouse movement always added

I have unchecked the box that says record mouse movement, and
yet Captivate is always adding the mouse into my newly recorded
slides, forcing me to delete them.
Is there any way to change this behavior?

    Hi RedScare
Are you talking about generically opening Captivate and
recording an entirely new project? Or are you instead talking about
adding additional slides to an existing project?
Either way, I would think Captivate should respect any
settings in place and give you what you want. So it's possible you
may be seeing a new issue that needs to be reported to the
    development team.
As a workaround, if it's giving you mouse movement and you
really don't want it, you may easily turn the mouse off for a group
of slides by selecting all the slides containing the mouse
movement, then clicking Slide > Mouse > Show Mouse to turn it
off for the selection. That would save having to change it
    individually on many slides.
How did this project begin life? Was it started in perhaps
Captivate 1 or 2 and later converted to 3? I know once in a while
we see issues from those actions.
    Cheers... Rick
